Hello everyone

Time for my Sunday Share..first one in a long time. We just returned from our wedding and I thought I would share our wonderful beginnings.

John and I were married during our cruise on the Disney Magic and were married on their private island, Castaway Cay. I am now Mrs. John Metcalf.

I can't say enough good things about Disney. They treated my whole family like royalty during our trip. We had so much fun. John really got into Pirate Night and dressed and spoke the part...all night :)

The photographer, Rama was fantastic. He gave me blue skies, even on a rainy day. And our on board wedding coordinator, Andrea, was fantastic, always there to see if we needed anything and was super helpful. The flowers were gorgeous and the food outstanding.

So now we are back to reality, and no longer the resident Royal Family. We're home in our own castle now and it is back to business.

I will be posting new classes shortly and resume my blog posts, project ideas and other Stamping fun things to do.

Winter Wonderland

I enjoyed making this card. It was easy and simple and gives that Wow effect.
I brayere the top half of the Whisper White cardstock with Blashful Blue and graduated in color up to Night of Navy. I blended the center area with a sponge dauber to make the color change seemless.

I stamped the Lovely as a Tree stamp in the center of the cardstock and used various copic markers in fall colors to place dots all over the trees to simulate leaves. I used the Signo White Gel Pen to place dots of snow.

Stamped the sentiment in the right lower corner. and placed the bow in the lower left.

Northern Hearts Snowflakes

I thought I'd try my hand at making a few Christmas cards with non-traditional colors this year. This card is an easy card to make. I started with Bashful Blue and Whisper White cardstock. I covered the Whisper White cardstock with snowflakes from the Northern Hearts Hostess set in Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Baja Breeze inks. I covered the entire Whisper White piece with Versamark and then sprinkled with Iridescent Ice glitter to give it a shimer.

For the mat, I used Bashful Blue, and lined the outside edge with Two Way glue, and then sprinkled with Iridescent Ice. I used the Large Label punch on Bashful Blue. I stamped the sentiment from the All Holiday's stamp set and punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. Using Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment to the label and added rhinestones. I finished off the mat with a Bashful Blue grossgrain ribbon and mounted the entire mat onto the card and rounded the corners.

Dashing through the Snow...

I love the new Merry Crittermas stamp set. Those little critters are so cute! For this card, I used the sledding bunny. I created a snow mound template from a piece of scrap paper and then sponged some Bashful Blue ink to make the hill. While the mask template was still on the paper, I covered the lower half of the snow area with VersaMark and then covered with Iridescent Ice glitter to give the snow effect. I colored the bunny with Stampin' Markers and then stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the All Holidays stamp set in StazOn Black Ink.

Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack

The next class will be a Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack. For $1.50 per card, you can stamp as many handmade cards as you need, choosing from a number of card designs in both Contemporary and Traditional styles.

Class will meet at my home from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM on November 8th.

You can also purchase your own Christmas card making bundle, which includes the Contempo Christmas stamp set and Jolly Holiday Designer paper so that you can continue to make cards at home. This package is $35 and needs to be pre-ordered. Please let me know if you wish this set so that I can order for you.
