During the NBC Tonight Show ordeal where the unfunny Jay Leno refused to leave the network, Dave was a huge supporter of Conan. The Late Show host made jokes at Leno (and NBC’s Jeff Zucker’s) expense over several episodes. If you remember, Letterman had a similar experience with NBC when they chose Leno over Letterman as the new host of The Tonight Show (when it is often said Carson preferred Letterman).

O’Brien took over Late Night in 1993 after Letterman left for Late Show, hosting Late Night until 2009 before he briefly became the host of Tonight Show until January 2010. In November, O’Brien began hosting TBS’ Conan.

Conan is set to appear on The Late Show on May 17 at 11:35/10:35 central.

“Cougar Town is a smart, whimsical sitcom that draws its humor from likable, relatable characters,” said Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies. “We are thrilled to have Cougar Town moving to the TBS neighborhood as the network continues to expand its slate of original comedy series.”

TBS will begin airing season 4 in 2013 and has also picked up all 61 previous episodes of the comedy.

The half-hour comedy is the latest series to join the TBS slate, which includes new sitcoms Men at Work, Sullivan & Son, Wedding Band and reality competition series King of the Nerds (working title)

There is still no word on whether or not Chevy Chase will be back after his public feud with creator Dan Harmon.

What did you guys think about the 3rd season of Community? I think the show keeps getting better and better. This season saw several high-concept episodes, such as the time line episode in which 6 different mini-stories came about because the role of a die.

The Bones spinoff The Finder was also axed. The show could not find solid enough ratings for a renewal.

It’s not all bad news for Fox dramas though. The network decided to renew the drama Touch, which revolves around a father (Kiefer Sutherland) and his autistic son.

Funny or Die has put together a small reunion with some of the characters from NBC’s The West Wing. The PSA, in support of walking, features Dule Hill, Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Josh Malina, Melissa Fitzgerald and William Duffy doing what they do best… walking and talking, a signature style of West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin. Political Animals (New Series) – A six episode series that stars Sigourney Weaver as a former First Lady and examined her family’s scandalous life.

True Blood‘s 12-episode fifth season will kick off on Sunday, June 10 at 9/8c, with Newsroom premiering two weeks later (June 24th) at 10/9c.

Set behind-the-scenes at a fictional cable news network, The Newsroom centers on an anchor (Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), his newsroom staff (Alison Pill, John Gallagher, Jr., Olivia Munn, Dev Patel, Thomas Sadoski) and their boss (Sam Waterston).

I can’t wait for Newsroom. I’m a huge fan of everything that Aaron Sorkin does. From Sports Night and The West Wing, to Studio 60 on the Sunset script, it’s clear that Sorkin knows how to write compelling behind the scenes programming.

Coleman’s previous credits include Captain America and the British soap opera Emmerdale.

Amy and Rory will be exiting the series in the 5th episode of the upcoming season.

While new companions are nothing new in the Whoniverse, I’m sad to see Amy and Rory leave. They are really good on the show. I really only started watching the series when Matt Smith took the role as The Doctor, so they’ve been the only companions I’ve actually watched regularly (save a few episodes of the David Tennant years). It will be interesting to see how the show plays out with this new companion.
