Maxwell stopped by CBS’ Early Show Wednesday to perform a set of songs from “Blacksummers’night”.

According to early sales estimates, Maxwell’s new album is likely to come in with over 275k in its first week.

There has long been tension between Myspace and Facebook, two the world’s most dominant forces in social media. In a recent interview with News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch, the tension appears to have moved beyond the keyboard.

Despite laying off more than 400 workers, Fox/Myspace mogul Rupert Murdoch is confident in Myspace but says:

“Facebook is like a directory….. how they make money is another matter”.

Ouch… is he implying that Facebook’s business practices are shady ?

When asked whether he would sell Myspace or buy Twitter, Murdoch told Reuters “No” and “Hell No”…

Comedian David Alan Grier is headed to divorce court !

According to TMZ, Grier’s wife Christine Kim filed for divorce Wednesday after two years of marriage.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Kim filed in Los Angeles County Superior court.

The couple had one child together, a one year old daughter.

LIFE will release a special edition of its photo based magazine July 10 in celebration of Michael Jackson’s life.

According to a release from the publication, millions of photographs have been taken of Michael Jackson but rarely has a collection captured the personal side of Jackson as LIFE’s. Remember Papa Smurf, Smurfette and Gargamel ?

They’re coming back but this time the blue creatures will be in 2D and 3D mode for moviegoers!

While little has been revealed about the storyline, “Smurfs,” has been backed by Columbia and Sony with a release date of December 17, 2010.

According to HW, Jordan Kerner (Charlotte’s Web), David N. Weiss (Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third) and Audrey Wells (George of the Jungle) wrote the script.

Since the 1981 television the Smurfs have been seen in numerous DVD releases and other media related projects. A Smurf float, as pictured, was featured in Macy’s 2008 Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Chris Brown was spotted at Michael Jackson’s memorial service Tuesday along with Diddy, Lisa Raye, Lil Kim, and reportedly Chris Tucker.

Julie Chen of Big Brother is ready for a brand new season !

According to CBS, Big Brother will premiere on Thursday, July 9 and feature a brand new cast of ‘housemates’ and of course a few twists.

While there are some spoilers online elsewhere, it’s always better to watch and see how it unfolds right ?
