In FBI Myths and Misconceptions: A Manual for Armchair Detectives, she presents the top 20 clichés about the FBI in books, TV, and movies. Each cliché has its own chapter, where she provides a reality check while breaking down the facts. The entertaining companion book with advanced FBI themes, FBI Word Search Puzzles: Fun for Armchair Detectives is also available. Her crime novels—Pay to Play and Greedy Givers—feature flawed female FBI agent Kari Wheeler. The married mother of three investigates fraud and corruption in Philadelphia while struggling to balance her family responsibilities. I say seemingly because there will always be a part of me that was stolen. I cannot get that back. None of the rage, drugs, sex, rock n’ roll, or anger will give me that thing that was stolen.

The world is both beautiful and brutal and I have seen the best and the worst of it. I know that the abuse I suffered has given me an undeniable strength that I was only able to tap into after falling face first into complete darkness.

I met Keeley about two year ago where we developed a friendship after a lengthy and in depth conversation about all things therapy, business and mental wellbeing.

Since then we have maintained closed contact, supported each others movements and I have also had the pleasure of being Keeleys client.

Back in 2002, Keeley was a cashier on Ikea’s checkout line. Having left school with no qualifications, she had little ambition or self-belief. She was also in a toxic, violent relationship and a young mother to two daughters.

Keeley struggled to understand how her life had become so difficult, her feelings of isolation heightened by the damning ‘I told you so’ judgements of loved ones. She was very much lost and knew that if she did not change, her children would suffer a similar fate.

It was while watching The Oprah Winfrey Show that Keeley was guided to the book that served as her introduction to the self-help world, In the Meantime by Iyanla Vanzant. Ever since then, she has passionately pursued knowledge and understanding of human behaviour, showing a particular fascination with intimate relationships and human potential.

Just some of Keeley’s achievements so far include:

Beginning a psychology degree at Brunel University as a mature student in 2003

Graduating from Brunel in 2007, leaving Ikea to pursue a career at HMP Wormwood Scrubs

Starting a masters degree in person-centred psychotherapy in 2008, while working full-time as the thinking skills resettlement manager for London Probation Trust

Completing her masters course by 2012, when she started her private practice, Key for Change

Leaving her full-time role in May 2015, having decided to realise her ambitions on her own Keeley took a leap of faith and begun to work for herself, helping and supporting other people to unlock their potential and overcome adversity

In 2016, Keeley launched Key for Change and Associates, a private wellbeing centre with a team of qualified expert helping professionals.

By 2017 she graduated from the Metanoia Institute with a distinction.

Today, Keeley works in private practice and is passionate about breaking down the barriers that prevent people from asking for help.

Sunny has had an incredible life journey which he uses as an example to help and improve others. In this episode Sunny shares how he is using his lived experience as a former drug addict to shape government policy on drugs and substance misuse, along with his belief that all government policy should be formed by those with lived experience to ensure maximum positive impact. Sunny Dhadley is a Social Leader with lived experience of addiction. He has developed a peer led model that is revered for its effectiveness, professionalism and integrity (noted through receiving the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2014 and in 2018 being highlighted as a European Model of Best Practice - BeTrad). Sunny is a Fellow of the RSA and part of the Windsor Leadership Alumni. Recently shortlisted for The Guardian Public Service Awards in 2018, Sunny has continued to push the boundaries in relation to practice and policy and is a living example of the potential that lies within each person that is vulnerable and/or marginalised within society.

In 2015 he joined the exclusive list of 30 UK mathematicians who are featured in the autobiographical reference book Who’s Who. Nira’s PhD thesis “Extension of the Gambler’s Ruin Problem played over Networks” was obtained from Portsmouth University in 2013, which he studied part –time while working as a full time Mathematics consultant. As well as this, Nira is one of the few British mathematicians to have been discussed in the US book The Encyclopaedia of Mathematics & Society, which highlights two of Nira’s mathematical models and their impact in the field of supportability engineering of complex assets. He has more than 25 years of experience of writing mathematical models/simulation algorithms that solve complex industrial problems. He’s developed mathematical solutions within many industrial sectors, including spells in France, the Netherlands, Germany and Israel. Nira has also chaired and organised a mini-symposium at an International Mathematical Modelling Conference. He invented his own long multiplication method and is one of the eminent speakers for the ex-BBC journalist Robert Peston’s charity Speakers for Schools. In a video interview with the Cambridge University outreach project Plus magazine, Nira tells us how solving difficult mathematical problems can be like fighting an invisible boxer. In this episode we covered many of the issues facing young men in todays society such as poverty, fatherless homes, misconceptions of masculinity, drill music and its impact on the youth and many more. Craig Pinkney is a Criminologist, Urban Youth Specialist, Lecturer at the University College Birmingham and is one of the UK's leading thinkers/doers in responding to Gangs and Serious Youth Violence. He is an JNC qualified Youth Worker with over 15 year’s experience as an Outreach Worker, Transformational Speaker, Gang Exit Strategist, Mediator, Mentor and Filmmaker. Craig delivers interactive workshops for young people and bespoke training for professionals in Criminal Justice, Education, Community, Health, Social Services, Family Support and Faith Based Organisations. Most of Craig’s workshops and bespoke training is delivered locally and nationally, however he has spoken and trained professionals at a numerous international conferences and events across Europe, the Caribbean and in the United States. I met Keeley about a year ago where we developed a friendship after a lengthy and in depth conversation about all things therapy, business and mental wellbeing. Since then we have maintained closed contact, supported each others movements and also had the pleasure of being Keeleys client. Back in 2002, Keeley was a cashier on Ikea’s checkout line. Having left school with no qualifications, she had little ambition or self-belief. She was also in a toxic, violent relationship and a young mother to two daughters. Keeley struggled to understand how her life had become so difficult, her feelings of isolation heightened by the damning ‘I told you so’ judgements of loved ones. She was very much lost and knew that if she did not change, her children would suffer a similar fate. It was while watching The Oprah Winfrey Show that Keeley was guided to the book that served as her introduction to the self-help world, In the Meantime by Iyanla Vanzant. Ever since then, she has passionately pursued knowledge and understanding of human behaviour, showing a particular fascination with intimate relationships and human potential. Just some of Keeley’s achievements so far include: Beginning a psychology degree at Brunel University as a mature student in 2003 Graduating from Brunel in 2007, leaving Ikea to pursue a career at HMP Wormwood Scrubs Starting a masters degree in person-centred psychotherapy in 2008, while working full-time as the thinking skills resettlement manager for London Probation Trust Completing her masters course by 2012, when she started her private practice, Key for Change Leaving her full-time role in May 2015, having decided to realise her ambitions on her own Keeley took a leap of faith and begun to work for herself, helping and supporting other people to unlock their potential and overcome adversity In 2016, Keeley launched Key for Change and Associates, a private wellbeing centre with a team of qualified expert helping professionals. Hakim Adi is currently Professor of the History of Africa and the African Diaspora at the University of Chichester in the UK. Trained as an historian focusing on Africa and African history in the twentieth century, his publications “focused on the history of the African Diaspora in Britain, a relatively new subject for academic study and in particular on the political history of West Africans in Britain, and the influence of Communism and Pan-Africanism on anti-colonial activism”. His work sought to demonstrate not only the important links that were established between those on the African continent and its diaspora but also that Africans and those of African descent have played a significant but often neglected role in the history of Britain. “My research on such organisations as the West African Students’ Union was necessarily also international in scope and led to further research and publications on the history of Africans in Britain in previous centuries, as well as various aspects of the Pan-African movement and the influence of communism on Africa and the African diaspore in the first half of the twentieth century”. That research led to Professor Adi’s 2013 book, Pan-Africanism and Communism, which looks at the Communist international and its activities in Africa and amongst the African diaspora (principally in the United States, the Caribbean, Britain and France) from 1919-1939. As one of the few historians specialising in the history of the African diaspora in Britain, his work has led to many speaking engagements around the world, including China and the USA, as well as media appearances, work with museums and archives and the publication of three history books for children. His latest book, Pan-Africanism: A History, is the very first survey this 21st century, of the Pan-African movement. Professor Adi covers many of the key political figures of the 20th century, including Du Bois. Garvey, Malcolm X, Kwame Nkrumah and Muammar Gaddafi, as well as Pan-African cultural expression from Negritude to Bob Marley. Sarah Aluko’s poetry speaks of womanhood, being black, love, loss and heartbreak. As a result of this, she has built a following of thousands of young people on social media who consume her poems ferociously and share them widely. In 2017, Sarah Aluko released her debut anthology, Firstborn on International Women’s Day, which was long-listed for the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry in the same year. She was also commissioned to write a piece for the technology giants, Microsoft, to mark the launch of their new Surface Pro as well as a piece for Nasty Women, the global art movement that campaigns to end violence against women. Sarah has worked with England’s largest organisation for performance poetry and spoken word – Apples and Snakes. Since Firstborn, Sarah Aluko has been listed as part of Nasty Boy’s Creative Class of 2018- Nasty 40, which is a list complied of 40 creatives in (or from Africa) to celebrate the next generation of Africans shaping youth culture. The list has been featured in Okay Africa, Marie Claire, Dazed and Hunger Magazine. In addition to this Sarah Aluko was once again long-listed for the Out-Spoken Page Poetry Prize for 2018. Further, she was part of the Barbican’s Art Hack in tandem with the Basquiat Boom For Real exhibition. Too Young For What? which was organised by Barbican Guildhall Creative Learning as an explosion of creativity across 48 hours in the Barbican Centre. Dr Tony Sewell began his career as a London school teacher. He has spent many years as a teacher trainer working at Kingston and Leeds universities and has published widely on the experience of boys in education. He has also been an international consultant in education for, among others, the World Bank and the Commonwealth Secretariat. He works in both the UK and the Caribbean and helped to set up the Science, Maths and Information Technology Centre in the department of education at Jamaica’s University of the West Indies. In 2012, Tony was appointed to chair the Mayor’s Education Inquiry into London schools. Its final, landmark, report, published in 2013, led to the establishment of the £24m London Schools Excellence Fund, which sees high performing schools working with partners to help raise standards of teaching in other schools. A trustee of the National Museums of Science and Industry, he makes frequent appearances in national broadcast and print media, including BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions?, BBC2s flagship current affairs programme Newsnight, the Guardian and the Daily Mail. Tony was presented a CBE for his services to education in the Queen’s 90th birthday honours list in June 2016 and awarded an honorary doctorate in laws from University of Exeter in 2017. Douglas McNaught is a Doctoral Researcher in Linguistics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, where he recently defended his PhD thesis on the aspectual and modal system of Sakizaya, an endangered Formosan language of Taiwan. He is currently undertaking a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (Mandarin) at University College London’s Institute of Education where he continues to develop his pedagogical knowledge and interest in language education with the hope to develop educational resources and strategies to improve Indigenous language education in Taiwan.
