Why Love Yourself?

Loving ourselves is probably the last thing on earth we would think to do if our life is not working, yet until we do, life makes little, if any sense. For many of us, it's just one thing after another.

When we choose to love ourselves unconditionally, we find that we begin to feel love and compassion for others, too. Life just seems to work better, to flow more easily. Love, joy, peace, understanding and forgiveness fill our hearts. Our mental, emotional and physical health improve. Long standing problems in every area of our lives begin to fall away.

Our life begins to work better because choosing to love ourselves brings peace and allows that which created us to bring what is right and perfect, and at the right time. We are open to inspiration, insight, guidance and direction. Life becomes easier and more fun. We notice that we are happy and for no particular reason. :-)

Ho'oponopono: Where is the problem?

We don't clean on others' problems. Others are perfect. We clean on what is going in us that we are experiencing them as imperfect. This applies regardless of the type problem, including relationships.

For example, If I am upset with another person, I am barking up the wrong tree.

Until we get this, really get it, we are making things unnecessarily difficult for both of us.

Not Enough, Not Good Enough?

Most of us sometimes feel we are not enough or not good enough. We may even beat up on ourselves for not being a better or more loving or more capable and successful person.

Mercy, no one has ever told me I am not enough or not good enough. I just realized these are thoughts that show up in my mind, maybe as a reaction to a current or recent event, maybe even from long ago. Doesn't matter because for whatever reason, they are the result of memories replaying in the subconscious mind, maybe from eons ago.

How to handle these thoughts and feelings when they show up? Just Love them. Thank them for showing up to give me one more chance to love and let go and be free to be the real me.

Happiness & Love: Choices?

Happiness is a choice as is Love, but sometimes it seems we had rather feel unhappy and not loving due to being angry at ourselves or another person or a situation. We may consciously or unconsciously feel unworthy, not good enough to experience being happy or loving, or we may consciously or unconsciously want another person to realize we are disgruntled with them as a prod to change their ways. It doesn't work, yet we continue to pout and/or fuss like little children. It's important to realize that love and happiness are our natural states. It's who we really are and these other states are but memories replaying in the subconscious mind from the past and our ancestors going back who knows how far.

When stuff shows up, better to silently say to ourselves and our conscious and subconscious minds, "Thank you. Thank you for giving me one more chance to let go and be my real self. I love you."

What Changed?

I am sitting in a local coffee shop looking and marveling at one example of the many blessings that has come into my life since hearing about and practicing Ho'oponopono as shared by Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len and Mabel Katz.

A regular visitor, a person I formerly experienced as loud and obnoxious now appears to be a quiet, relaxed, pleasant gentleman. Previously I literally bristled when he would show up. He appeared to be a large, loud man whose every move irked me. We have never chatted, but I now see a nice, quiet, gentle, courteous man. He appears to be the opposite of the man I first observed for many months. Of course I cleaned on my experience of him. A miracle? I don't know.

With Ho'oponopono, we learn that what we see and experience are memories/data replaying in the subconscious mind projected on the screen of life in front of us. As we do our Ho'oponopono cleaning, the memories/data are cleaned and transmuted to Love energy by Divinity. We experience that we and people and situations seem to change as we do our Ho'oponopono cleaning.

I can't say for sure what has changed, but I and those I see regularly seem to be as different as night and day these days.

What We Seek

The love we seek, even crave is not from another as it may seem. It's an unconditional love and acceptance from ourselves we seek. This may come as quite a shock when we finally become aware of it and realize why others and things could not fill that need, that seeming void with no bottom. Nothing can change your life physically, mentally or emotionally as quickly and effectively as choosing to give unconditional love and acceptance to yourself. It's as simple as silently saying "I love you" to yourself often during the day. You will soon see a different you with a big smile looking back at you in the mirror. Your love for others will also increase exponentially. I love you, too for we are one.

Loving What Is - The Power of Choice

Little is going to improve in our lives until we choose to take 100% responsibility for our past and current experiences, give up blame and excuses, realize "stuff" happens and that our response is the critical factor for what comes next. Taking anything personally therefore, is counterproductive and self defeating. Better to meet what shows up with thank you and I love you and go within and listen for insight, inspiration, guidance and direction.

Giving unconditional love to ourselves and everyone else is number 1. Doesn't necessarily mean we like what happens, but by staying centered and at peace and listening, we allow for Infinite Intelligence, Insight, Guidance, Inspiration, Direction, Love and Power. We allow for what is right and perfect for us to unfold. And miracles! Peace of I,

Life is My Mirror

Notes To Myself: 10/29/2010

Whatever the concern, whatever the problem, clean on what is going on in me that I am experiencing this.

Whatever I see, hear, experience is a reflection of memories replaying in my subconscious. As I clean them up in me, others and I will be fine.

A simple way to clean is to meet what shows up with "Thank you" and "I love you." No expectations, just gratitude.

Life is my mirror. I will clean, let go and trust.

Purpose in Life?

Truth, LOVE, Divinity, God.... makes no sense until it does.

The mind cannot know nor understand LOVE, its Creator, only be a vehicle for IT. Otherwise the mind is a barrier. To meet what shows up with "Thank You and I love you" is to let go and let God. To let go and allow for inspiration, insight, guidance and direction. And with that, what is right and perfect for us can unfold, a life beyond our fondest dreams, imaginations and aspirations.

Many of us have spent our entire lives searching for our purpose, our mission in life or the meaning and purpose of life here on earth in general. Some of us heard the call of "Let Go and Let God" quite early in life, yet resisted it, some of us afraid of what that might bring, afraid of losing control of our lives.

The results speak for themselves, yet every second, every breath we take is another opportunity.....

What Really Matters?

A couple of years ago I read an old story that signifies to me "what really matters." It's all over the internet, yet the first time it really got through to me was in an ebook by Mabel Katz titled The Easiest Way to Wealth based on Self-Identity through Ho'oponopono. http://www.mabelkatz.com/

A woman came out of her house and saw three old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them.

She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked. "No", she replied. "He's out." "Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. "Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in. "We do not go into a house together," they replied. "Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love."

Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

"Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the three old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but you invited Love, and wherever he goes, we go also. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!"

Is It Possible?

Why do I suggest kissing a sore thumb and saying "I love you to it."

I bet a 3 year old child would do it in a heart beat.

I don't believe we have to believe the following as long as we don't disbelieve it and just treat it as possible. And like unconditional love, have no expectations regarding outcomes.

I believe:

"Unconditional Love (no conditions no expectations) may heal at all levels of the mind/body including at the cellular/molecular level by removing restrictions to the energy flow caused by unconscious memories replaying in the subconscious."

I also believe it may be possible that Unconditional Love energy can correct problems at the most microscopic level including in the genes and DNA.

if the problem is structual and/or caused by an accident, immune system deficiency or suppression, or exposure to harmful elements in food, water, air, or are degenerative in nature, I believe it may be possible that Unconditional Love may enable the maximum efficiency of our mind, body and spiritual elements in correcting these problems.

For me, most often I just meet what shows up with the Ho'oponopono Cleaning phrases, "Thank You and I love You, and let Divinity handle the rest. :-)

Dear Pam, It has now been several hours since I posted a comment to this post and it has been amazing what is taking place. The post is acting as a cleaning tool for me just in the reading and re-reading.

The last couple of days have been very stressful and I was struggling with an incident, the result of a major problem that has plagued every aspect of my life since early childhood. After reading your latest post earlier today, as I was cleaning afterward, it felt as if this may go back many generations on my father's side of the family.

During the day, little by little it feels like this heavy burden is floating away. I feel lighter, happier and as if a heavy burden is being lifted away. In fact right now, 3:09 pm EDT, I feel like a totally new person in a way I can't describe. If inspired I will be posting later on my blog and who knows maybe a book will come out of this. It is interesting that right before I was going to email Pam and ask for help cleaning and Dr Len and Mabel, too, I received notice via email of this new blog post by Pam. Reminds me of the scripture that says something to the effect. "BEFORE you ask I will answer, and while you are yet speaking I shall give it unto thee." Wow!!!
