Take a look at the movie I made from Moss Landing (Central Coast California) shots taken over the last few months. It features the Moss Landing Power Plant and its two smoke stacks.

How do you go about photographing the same subject more than once?

70/365 Green

2011-03-15T10:35:00.000-07:00

Today’s Daily Shoot assignment is: Make a photograph dominated by green today.

This green photo also contains water, patterns, diagonal lines, rule of thirds. It also has a freshness about it (yesterday's challenge).

69/365 Randomness

2011-03-11T20:53:00.000-08:00

Today's Challenge was to photograph "randomness."

The stones stuck in this grid created a random pattern. I thought about this assignment all day and kept trying to photograph randomness in nature. What I discovered is that randomness was more easily identified with inert objects.

68/365 Simplicity

2011-03-10T10:52:00.001-08:00

Today’s Daily Shoot assignment is: Make a photograph of a beautiful simple shape, such as an egg, today. Utilize lighting and focus to make it sing.

While visiting friends in Sebastopol, California, this scene in their bathroom caught my eye. A simple blue bottle reflected in the mirror.

67/365 Like Water for Swimming

2011-03-09T22:50:00.000-08:00

Today's Daily Shoot: Make a photograph that features water in one way or another today.

Rather than shoot the usual stream or ocean scene, I happened upon a busy pool scene and couldn't resist capturing a second in time.

66/365 Out of Doors

2011-03-08T14:40:00.000-08:00

Make a photograph that feels like the out of doors.

This is a typical scene with a California Live Oak of Central Coast California. I love the scene.

65/365 Red

2011-03-07T16:51:00.000-08:00

The Daily Shoot: Today's theme is red. Red hot? Red paint? Or something else? You decide.

I eat meat but for some reason I feel repulsed by it when I see it like this. I wonder how the cow was treated. What does the picture make you think?
