Was it just a year ago that we were dancing the night away... followed by singing the night away on New Year's Eve? Well, a lot has happened in a year - and we're so excited to start 2013 with a new addition! Since we won't be partying-hard on New Year's this year, we decided to invite you all to our Baby Pool to make the countdown a little more exciting (especially since I will probably be in bed long before midnight).
For anyone who's interested, you can join the Guenther Baby Pool - and before you do so, here are some pertinent facts - My actual due date is 1/12/2013. Rob is hoping for a 2012 tax deduction, but I'm content to sit idly by until the 12th! I am still walking (waddling) the dog every day. No complications to date ... other than overeating at Christmas!

We'll post guesses here so you can see what others are posting (it'll be like The Price Is Right) - closest person on all three accounts wins!

Favorite Wife of the Year Award

There are a lot of great information provided by friends, families, support groups (think precana, not AA people) to assist in the transition from single to married life. But I have to admit, I feel a little jipped. I mean, I'm grateful for all the tips on preparing a warm meal for your husband and making sure his socks match before he goes out the door in the morning, but NO ONE (is this a conspiracy?) told me that he would actually expect to have room on MY shoerack or his dinky 3 pairs of shoes. I had to make the gut-wrenching decision between keeping my hot pink or snakeskin in a box while his got to sit proudly on my customwmade shelves. I mean seriously, people... these are things a bride needs to KNOW. And while I may be using this as a bit of a soap box, I not once complained to my adoring husband, earning me, in my estimtion, the Favorite Wife of the Year Award. (plus, he does get ahomecooked meal nearly every night.) What do you think?

10 Days Until the Rest of My Life Begins

As I look at this new chapter of my life, I have to quiet the voice that says "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?" and joyfully embrace the gravelly male voice that says "Uh... do we have any half and half for my coffee?"

It is a strange and wondrous idea to "start a life together". Rob and I have spent the last year and half not just planning for the wedding DAY but so that we can bring each other closer to God and to our families. As we move towards Christmas, I ask everyone to remember your spouses and your family - and bring the true meaning of Christmas right on through 2012!

In the meantime, I will welcome 2012 as the year of the CPAP, and he will realize what it's like to actually live with someone who sends all the Macy's Associates birthday cards.

As a bride, everyone always asks how wedding planning is coming. Since I got tired of the shocked glances when I said "Uh... how many days?" I have officially started a countdown. Oh, and because I'm super excited too... Yes, very excited! I can't wait to move into the house and do all Rob's wash, cook and clean for the man in my life, and .... wait... how does this deal work?! Cause if that's the case he totally has bathroom cleaning duty. haha All joking aside, Rob and I are looking forward to it - it is the wedding of the century, after all!!

So, today's note is to let people know we are 36 FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, AMAZING days out!! Let the cookie baking, Christmas music, and planning continue!!

August brings much planning and excitement, including the start to a much-awaited football season (Lexy has waited with baited breath to see if they would work through the negotiations! um, just kidding...), Lexy's bridal shower, Lexy's "Second 29th Birthday" (Also known as the Year of the Old Lady), and ... 140 Days To Go until the wedding (as of today)!!
It's so real and so exciting!! We still have favors, place cards, menu choices, invitations, and a million other little things (and big things, like videographer) to figure out, but Rob and I are enjoying it immensely!! Thanks for everything - and mostly - for letting us enjoy the ride! See you in December!

We have a new location to accomodate our momentous ceremony! Since our guest list would have the DSU chapel burgeoning at the doors, we decided not to make people listen to the ceremony from outside. Therefore, we are having our ceremony at Assumption BVM Church in Bethlehem. Assumption BVM is (conveniently!) located in between the Comfort Suites hotel and DSU. More information can be found on the Ceremony & Reception page. As always, transportation will be provided!

Welcome, friends, family, and loved ones to the Wedding Planning Website! For those of you who had the pleasure of attending Yvette & Scott's wedding, we plan to have a "repeat performance".
