Hi everyone! I recently took some photos of my Gallymogger/Blog work space so I wanted to share a few of the pictures with you! I think my favorite part of my desk has to be the wooden crate I got at JoAnn’s for $6! I’m thinking of grabbing a few more for some furniture accents once I move!

I was also so fortunate to be featured in the Mollie Makes Gathered digital magazine! I’m a HUGE fan so this was a happy dance worthy moment!

Forgive me if this post shows how truly dorky I really am. Feel free to browse right on by, I won’t mind a bit!

For those of you still reading first off, you rock! Second, I need to share with you my current favorite book. Mary Roach’s Packing for Mars combines my love of space exploration with my love of weird factoids and anecdotes. This is my first Roach book, and I can’t wait to read the rest of her works. She is seriously that good.

So, without really giving anything away, if you are a fan of NASA, space in general, learning about the grooming habits of astronauts, or finding out just how difficult it is to be compared to Ham, the space chimp, I strongly suggest this amazing book.

DIY: Heart Sweater Clips

Ok, I guess technically these are “collar” clips, but I didn’t notice that until after I did everything, so just go with it. Okay?!

Supplies:

Wooden Hearts

Pin Backs

Paint (I used this one)

Instructions:

1. Using masking tape, tape the backs of the wooden hearts to a paper plate. (This is the best and easiest way to paint them.) Paint the hearts. Once they dry, apply a varnish to secure the paint and stop it from bleeding onto your clothing.

2. Attach the pins to the back of the hearts using the E6000. Let it dry 24 hours.

3. I chose to make my chain 5 inches long, but you can make yours as long or as short as you chose! Using a wire cutter tool, cut the chain your desired amount, then using pliers, attach two jump rings to either end.

4. Finally, I just put the pin through either end of the chain and secured it like I would normally do, and ta da! You now have an adorable sweater clip set!

I love how customizable this DIY is. You can pick any color heart to match any outfit, or chose a completely different shape! Why not try a circle, or these gorgeous wooden roses?!

First, if you know the reference of the title of this post, you get about a million cool points. Second, I’m sorry this week has been kinda slow, please forgive me, I’ve been such a busy bee! Third, if you follow me on Twitter, then you know how incredibly thrilled I am about the Veronica Mars Kickstarter. I was completely obsessed with the show, and once it was cancelled, I was slightly heartbroken. Knowing I will be watching Veronica in the not-so-distant future makes me a very happy girl! Okay, which number am I on?…oh right…Fourth, I have added a bunch of amazing cameras to the Gallymogger shoppe, and they tend to sell quickly, but I wanted to let you know! Finally, I have found the most perfect dress that needs to be in my closet. IT GLOWS IN THE DARK!!!

Hand Lettering Practice #3

I have to be honest, I really haven’t had much time to practice lettering lately, but I still try to make room for it at least once a week. Unfortunately the shaky hand issue doesn’t seem to be getting any better, but I’m sure that will take more than a month or so to fix!
