Came back to newcastle for almost 3 weeks now. Since then I have been busy settling down in my new house. Loads of stuff to do, to clean, to buy and so on. Its only been a week since my course begun and I have already been overwhelmed by the two monstrous Assignments for this academic year. Responsibilities coming as swift as they possibly can.

Come on, give it to me slowly, please don't toss everything to me. Its just like eating, you have to eat it slowly so that you enjoy the process.

Stress is part of life, it makes you stronger, I'm accepting it with an open heart.

I thought I will have time to update what I've been doing during the summer when I get back here. I think I was wrong.

Till then. Please wait for my updates patiently.

Merdeka, something which I know I should be proud of but apparently I'm not. Do you know why ?

Honestly speaking I love my country and the people here. I just hate those politicians and those racist imbeciles. Why do they have to stir up trouble when all of us can live peacefully together. I would not accept the statement that Malaysia is a racist country because it is actually not.

I have friends who are Malays, Chinese and Indians and we still can live well together. I don't see why we can't live well together other than those imbeciles trying to make us fight against each other. Of course through out your life those racist people would cross your path but please don't let them affect how you feel and most importantly don't let them turn you into another racist as well.

Those racists are good at manipulating religious teachings and human minds. Step away from them and think for yourselves, don't let them lead you and please don't let them lead the country(Vote wisely).

For those who don't live in Malaysia I invite you to come to our country to experience it for yourselves. See the actual side of Malaysian community, its not as bad as what the media projects.

I don't really want to make a long post about it because it is not worth the time.

For my dear friends who was unfortunate to not have passed the resit exam please do not feel bad. I hope you guys will give your decision a careful thought. I hope that no matter what decision you make, it will not be a decision that is influenced by shame. That sense of shame is just a temporary thing. The best way to get rid of that shame is to prove to them(those that think its shameful for you to fail) that you are able to do it !!!

Of course I would love to see everyone to be able to achieve their dream of becoming a doctor and I would be glad to hear from you that you will not give up this dream so easily. It is not the end of the road failing the resit. No matter what decision you make I will support you as long as that decision is not influenced by the sense of shame.

Life have its ups and downs. I have mine and you have yours. Its just that it happened at a different time.

Here's a very inspirational speech from a movie which has help me during my "downs".

A mixed feeling

As most of you should know that I have been busy studying for my resit exam during July. For those who are wondering why do I have to resit please read my previous blog post titled "Year 1"

Honestly speaking I have already reached Johor Bahru on the 29th of June. However I have decided not to tell anyone about my presence just simply because I want to fully concentrate on my revision for the resit which was held on the second week of August. I only told a handful of people that I'm in JB before the exams. A month of being a complete nerd was a very excruciating task for me. My daily routine was studying, eating and sleeping with some occasional chit chats on skype as I can't resist it due to some reasons. Anyway, this whole July I have not stepped out of my house or rather my room other than to have my meal. It was a complete no life experience which is not what I like and will not want to experience again. I now know that I have to manage my studies in a more organised manner to prevent this from happening again but whether will I make that change is a completely different thing. Procrastination is still my biggest enemy !!!
When the results came out and I saw my name on the pass list, that instantaneously became one of the happiest moment of my life. I was overjoyed because this doesn't just determine my future as a doctor it also determines something else. Which is also very important to me.
The failing of this exam has changed the course of my life slightly in the beginning, soon after that comes another change and eventually leads to a chain of events which I did not foresee. At first I was very disappointed with myself for failing the final exam but now when I look back at these chain of events, I have a very mixed feeling about it. In fact I am actually grateful for failing it mainly because of the chain of events. I kept thinking about it, if I have not fail that exam all these most probably would not have happened and I would have missed out something great in my life.Your's truely.

Manchester + Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Kind of in a distracted mood today thinking of something.
Someone not something.
This is another trip done during June. A few friends and I went to Manchester and a theme park AGAIN which is an hour away from there.

We spent the first day in Manchester. It was a very nice day.We reached there quite early in the morning so we went to check in to our hostel first. I made everyone walked the long way round to the hostel. I always thought my sense of direction was good because I usually don't get lost but Manchester's road is just messy. Their cross junction doesn't look like one at all !!! Unfortunately that was the turn which we were supposed to make but I couldn't recognize it as a cross junction in the first place !!! However a friend of mine knew the roads in Manchester so she directed me to the right place. Anyway lucky we got loads of time to spare and nobody got pissed at me. Phew ..

Anyway after that she told me that she came to Manchester before so I surrendered the map to her but she refused to lead. Instead she agreed to co-lead by helping me. So we went to Chinatown !!! While heading there I saw a beggar or drunkard lying down on the streets so I took a photo and suddenly the police appeared from nowhere.Anyway we went to a little bistro to have some early bites before our "Dim Sum" lunch.My friend just can't wait to eat something haha ..Look what they have !!!

After our quick bite we went to the Museum.A very big brush.You might wonder why he is so happy smiling beside the word. It's because he is a Man U supporter !!! She finally had her chance of venting her anger about the world in a public space.

There was a section of the museum which was quite fun. Everything there can be played with.Can't resist playing the gladiator race !!!She looked like some irritating kid trying to spoil my photo haha ..Some of us started role playing.Some of us started drawing.Some of us started singing. I recorded when she sang, I will upload it some other time.Some of us just couldn't be bothered anymore. You know why ? We stayed in this section for almost 2 hours !!!Our Nutritionist's master piece was finally done !!!

Went for "Dim Sum" lunch.Went to the STADIUM !!! After the stadium we headed to the shopping mall. While waiting for the bus I saw a dented post and I made my friend posed with it.He wasn't very enthusiastic with my idea.

It was a very pleasant day which ended with a nice Korean dinner.

Ok the next day !!!Yes !!! It is the theme park !!! Being an adrenaline junkie me, I just can't wait to get on those rides !!!He said hi.The picture speaks for itself. Awesome.This ride is 220m tall and it has a plunge that is nearly vertical !!! Hehe .. for this ride my friend and I managed to get the front seat !!! It was FUCKING NICE. It felt like we weren't sitting on anything at all. We went for a second time but too bad we can't get the front seat again. Peter is my most steady adrenaline junkie !!! For your info he was the one that took the reverse bungee with me at the Fun Fair.Reverse Coaster, kind of disappointing as it just lasted not more than 10sec.

Some of the coaster wasn't open on that day. I don't know why.A ride that little girls always dream of.A very exciting and interesting ride !!! Gotten really wet in the end haha ..I couldn't get my Yoshi. Sob. My friend had to stop me from dumping my cash into the machine. She was like "Ka Liang give u 30p this one last time edi, you know how much u spent on trying to get ur yoshi or not ?". Hey, at least we won a bear.Never ever leave a theme park empty handed. Never.

Fun Fair !!!

Another post about things I have done in June.

Ok its just another normal day which we had nothing to do. I was playing game then suddenly someone asked us to go to a Fun Fair that was just in Newcastle. With half hour to spare we gotten ready and headed to the gathering point.

It was just a 10mins walk away and when we reached, we saw loads of people and loads of junk foods. Couldn't resist from indulging myself with adrenaline !!!The rides there were on pay per go basis so we only selected a few that was worth the money. However we still took quite a number of rides there.My wallet flew out of this particular ride. The ride is insane, it has 3 turning points and when all 3 points of this machine turns I lost sense of direction. It is at then my wallet flew out of my back pocket and one of my friend on the other side saw it. When the ride stops in mid air, my friend shouted "eh, someone's wallet flew out!". I checked my pocket and SHIT !!! Luckily I got it back without losing anything. Thank you so much !!!

Oh, one of our friends won a bear !!! For your information it's not won by her. I used this picture just simply because it looks cute.Anyway Peter and I went to the most extreme ride this Fun Fair could offer !!!The reverse bungee.This is some serious ride man. When it sprung us up, it went as high or more than 3 stories high !!! At one point I totally gave up resisting the spin, let my hands go and let the spin work its magic. My legs were like jelly when I came down but I will want to do it again if chance permits me.It's because I'm an adrenaline junkie !!!.
There was a really WTF ride there.
As you can see, you will be standing on this ride. It spins around and also flips around. Yes I'm serious it spins and flips around 360 degrees. This is the true human tumble dryer !!!Don't be deceived by it. Well some of them were a sure get a prize game, however you can only win a miniature prize if you lost. Those big big stuffs on display are really hard to get.

We spent around 4hours in the Fun Fair. It was well worth it.

Alnwick Garden + Castle

Rather distracted today, can't seem to concentrate on anything so I might as well spend my time on some post which was supposed to be up long ago.

Ok, this is about Alnwick Castle a trip made during June !!! Place where some of the Harry Potter scenes were filmed.

We woke up very early in the morning on a holiday to catch a train. Unfortunately when we arrived at the train station it was too late. We literally looked at the train we were supposed to be on slowly moving out of the platform.(Wen this is the one)I personally blame the ticketing lady for making us missing the train. If she had printed out the tickets for us without wasting that one minute of our time we would have been on that train.

It wasn't very nice because the next train was in 2 hours time !!! So we split up for the 2 hours period, 3 of us went to Burger King for breakfast and Yvonne took her aunts to town for some early shopping.

In Burger King, I looted a very nice set of earphones !!! It was a very good one, noise cancelling type and most importantly it has a gold jack. Gave it to my friend as he doesn't have any good sets of earphones.

Anyway we got on the next train. When we reached, waited for the taxi I booked and headed to the castle. The driver was very nice, kept talking to me. His accent was slightly hard to understand but still able to have a conversation with him.

Guess what !Does it look familiar to you?

No photos were allowed inside the castle but there was nothing worth taking photos anyway. All history and nothing about Harry Potter haha ..
No wonder all the dragon went extinct. My first bet would be lung diseases.Wanted to take a photo with "feel" in it.

After that we went to the garden !!!My first time learning micro photos.Went through the tunnel which I thought was to Heaven. Unfortunately, the other side wasn't heaven it was just another part of the garden. Sad.

Nothing much to see because most of the flowers withered but there are still a few nice ones.
Tried to get another "feel" photo.Oh and some random bird.There are more photos up on my facebook if you wish to see more.

These 2 days I have been having difficulty sleeping. Well .. actually I'm not sure whether I was sleeping or not. The thing is either I can't stop myself from thinking and couldn't sleep or I was having a light sleep with dreams. Its kind of weird to not be able to determine whether I was dreaming or thinking subconsciously. Anyway it just suck to be like this. I like deep sleep. Password is "thepassword".

The weird thing is that I don't feel tired during the day. I guess its just my brain that doesn't want to rest until I get my studies done.
However I am mentally tired.

Year 1 ..

It has been a nice and exciting first year for me reading medicine. It has been an eye-opening experience for me. I did not expect that so much effort have to be done to become a doctor compared to what I had imagined before entering this course. Even though its not far from my initial thought but it is still significant.

I really did enjoyed it here, having to meet new friends, to meet patients, to shadow doctors and bla bla bla. It is also my first time being parents free, to be able to spread my wings and fly by my own in this free sky. It is also a new challenge for me as I personally never experienced so much importance about passing my exams. However this sense of importance towards exams were not heavily prioritized by myself. Yes and its because of my own self-discipline.

Due to this fact, I did not pass my first year. When the pass list came out, I couldn't see my name on it. It was a very heart breaking feeling to not see my name on the list. I soon closed my eyes and wanting to pretend that all this was not true, hoping that my name would appear in the list or hoping that there was a mistake with the pass list.

They assessed us by three sections. Knowledge, Skills and Professionalism.
Knowledge = Overall Bordeline (fail)
Skills = Overall Merit
Professionalism = Overall Satisfactory

Merit > Satisfactory > Bordeline > Unsatisfactory (Merit being best grade and Unsatisfactory being the worst)

You have to pass all three sections to pass the year, sadly I did not pass my Knowledge strand.

Unfortunately, it was inevitable that I have to accept this horrible truth. Soon after, I started to justify or rather, find excuses to explain why I did not pass. Obviously people around me had already heard most of my "justifications".
1. I was unfortunate that those that I studied for did not came out.
2. It was just unlucky that I missed the pass threshold by a few percentage.
3. If I failed one out of the 3 exams which isn't the last one I would have gotten an overall pass for the year and I would have made it into the pass list. (This is true according to their point system which would waste loads of reading time if I explained it here)

Yeah, thats the most commonly used "justifications" when I tell someone that I did not pass.

After thinking for so long, I realize it all comes down to self-discipline. I am never good at controlling myself not to procrastinate. I would procrastinate when I want to make an effort to stop procrastinating. Haha .. I know some of you might be thinking that its useless for me to spot the problem if I don't do anything to change it. This time I will do my best to change it. Mainly because that I REALLY WEALLY have to pass this retake exam. I will die if I don't.

Some of you might think that this is nothing nice to share it with everyone. Yes it is not something nice to share but I still want to. Maybe the sense of shame and guilt might give me another slap on my face.

Please give me a chance to prove it to you and to myself that I am able to do it.

Alton Towers !!!

We set off on 3rd June by car to Alton Towers. We had 2 cars and two of our friend drove it. It was a 3 hour journey there filled with sleep and talks and laughters.

Anyway when we reach there we parked our cars and checked in straight away.This is the entrance to the Hotel. Doesn't look like one huh?

Unfortunately we went too late, by the time we checked in the theme park was already closed for the day. Oh well .. so we wandered around the hotel and took lots of photos and we played MEGA JENGGA !!!We managed to attract some passerby to stop and watch our "pro" game.

The next day we took the monorail to the theme park !!!Since we were hotel guests we get an extra hour to enter the theme park compared to other people who were crowding at the gates.We started running towards those awesome rides !!!

First, we took the OBLIVION !!! Its as 90° vertical drop coaster ride !!!
Second, Sonic Spinball !!! A Dizzy twisting and turning coaster ride, even the seat itself turns.Thrid, Thirteen !!! A very new and creative coaster ride. Won't spoil the surprise of this ride here. The element of surprise was what made this ride exciting.

Fourth, Rita !!! A fast roller coaster which accelerates in the beginning !!!
Fifth, Sky !!! The seats are horizontal when you ride, you fly like superman !!!Sixth, Nemesis !!! Its just an insane ride which you just don't know where you were heading and it just kept spinning everywhere till you reach the end !!!

Seventh, Ripsaw !!! Literary, just toss you round and round in the air and sparys your face with water in the end.
Eighth, Spinning Mushroom !!!
Ninth, Enterprise. Around the world !!! Freaking dizzy after the ride.
While in the theme park I won a Sonic on the loot machine !!!
In the end we won a Sonic, a Unicorn and picked up a big fish.We took one the scariest rides of them all. THE CABLE CAR!!!

We were very satisfied with the day because we managed to get through all the roller coasters and all the thrill rides !!!

We started at 9am and left the theme park at 6pm(thats when they close).We took a group photo outside of the park before we leave.Thanks to the random guy which helped us took this photo and that random guy which spoiled the group photo.

Guardian Angel

Wah !!! I just realised a few days ago that I have a Guardian Angel with me in Newcastle.

I can only write this now because now only I'm free. Just finished my exams. 3rd JUNE WILL BE THE JUDGEMENT DAY TO DETERMINE WHETHER I WILL CONTINUE TO STAGE 2 OR NOT !

Anyway back to my Guardian Angel. Yes, my Guardian Angel. I didn't know until a few days ago when she told me about it. It all started when she told me that she had been stalking me o.O .. I find it quite surprising to know that she actually knows my daily routine !!! She knows I walk back from Ridley Building alone most of the time and she even knew when I have classes there. She knows what I was discussing with friends in the computer cluster. She knows I'm close to who. She even notices all the small little habits that I do !!! These are just to name a few, it would be a very very long post if I listed everything.

I was stoned for awhile. Furthermore, she told me she will always follow me until I reach my flat. Not just the main flat door but she would wait downstairs and look at the window of each level until I reach my room door.

After that, I just said to her "Thank you my Guardian Angel !!!"

Now I know why sometimes I have that feeling of being followed. It was her all along haha .. If she never told me this I would have never knew. Where ever I go I feel safe now because I know my Guardian Angel will always be there^^.
