Paying Their Fair Share and the Same Rules Apply

I was duct-tapping my head last night when I heard Obama saying 'fair share' and 'same rules apply'.
And Obama would be right if he meant getting government out of the way by removing the regulations and policies that favor some financial activity over others and picks winners and losers financially.

Then people would all have the same rules and a fair share at succeeding through their hard work, not a fair share through some paying higher tax rates than others.

If I make more and pay the same percent as someone who makes less, then I still pay more aka my 'fair share'.

Obama needs to apply the 'fair share' rhetoric to the government not taking more than its 'fair share'. The government gets more than its 'fair share' from the American people through their salaries and business profits.

Obama, the ultimate Crony Capitalist, allows his buddy donor's corporations to pay no taxes. Tax loopholes sold to the highest bidder. And before you mention W. Bush, he was just as bad. And I attacked him then for the same actions.

The mistake people make, especially most but not all of the Occupy Movement, is thinking that all Wall Street, Conservatives, Republicans and Capitalism are bad and to blame for the financial crisis and income disparities.

When some of Wall Street and real capitalism is good, and Democrats and so-called progressives are just as bad and just to much to blame for the financial crisis and income disparities, while pretending to be anti-Wall Street.

And, Obama is the biggest offender of them all. He was backed and funded by Wall Street more than any other candidate in history.

And finally, real capitalism isn't bad, and what caused all the economic turmoil was crony capitalism also known as corporatism.

For the uninitiated, Crony Capitalism or Corporatism is a bastardized form of capitalism which isn't capitalism at all. It is when the government gets in bed with Corporations and makes rules and regulations that favor the corporations that fund their campaigns and give them slush money and hurt small (Mom and Pop) businesses. The government picks winners and losers, sometimes even among the corporations, based on favor through who pays the most or who their buddies are. Sometimes the government is paid to create private monopolies or public ones that hire their favored corporations to run them.

Its time for all of us 99% to stand up to the government and the crony capitalists, demanding they stop all the favoritism that robs our money tax through high taxes and government sanctioned corporate financial scams. This would give everybody a 'fair share' and make the 'same rules apply' through a true free market without government favoritism to the corporations who are the highest bidders. Not a fake 'fair share through more taxes giving the government an unfair share.

Senate is voting on what would become Police State measures on American Soil

I recently received this message from the organization Downsize DC. Be worried, be very worried.

The U.S. Senate is about to take some law enforcement powers from the Justice Department, and give greater policing powers to the Department of Defense. These policing powers can (and will) be used on American soil. It appears that, under just two small sections of the National Defense Authorization Act (S. 1867). . .

1. American citizens and lawful resident aliens, could be held, INDEFINITELY, jailed.
2. Other persons can be DISAPPEARD by the military, without benefit of habeas corpus or trial. And worse...
3. These other persons can also be shipped off to a foreign judicial system that might deliver a result the Justice Department wants.

The sponsors of this bill claim that this bill contains no new powers -- that they're merely codifying the behavior of two (renegade) administrations.

Yet two of the bill's Senate backers admit there is a new power: The ability of the military to engage in police work on American soil -- Posse Comitatus be damned.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who backs the bill, indicated that the bill "basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield" and people can be imprisoned without charge or trial "American citizen or not." Another supporter, Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) also declared that the bill is needed because "America is part of the battlefield."

Here's a link to a copy of the two offending sections, 1031 and 1032, which must be removed by amendment.

In 1031 the Federal State gains the power of indefinite imprisonment without trial. In 1032, American citizens and lawful resident aliens must be given civilian jails for their potentially permanent stays, and cannot be shipped off for a show trial by a convenient foreign power.

The sponsors of this bill, Senators Levin and McCain, are forgetting their Article I role as a protection against an overreaching and potentially tyrannical Executive Branch, and are instead rapidly inventing powers for that branch. They're trading Liberty for Security because we've become so scared of the boogeyman.

We should stop being so cowering and fearful. We should tell Congress, loud and clear, "I Am Not Afraid."

And the debate is occurring as I write this, Monday afternoon.

Why are we getting this crucial information to you so late?

These provisions of DownsizeDC.org's "Read the Bills Act" would give watchdog groups and media personalities time to digest and disseminate the information to you, with sufficient time to register your dissent.

When we first read 1031 and 1032, we didn't understand them fully. We believe due diligence is important. We wanted to make sure that WE were telling the truth, not someone else's incomplete opinion or ill-advised version. That's one reason you read the Downsizer-Dispatch, isn't it?

But it was hard to find adequate help to understand how these sections related to each other, on a holiday weekend -- a weekend where our staff was also, "over the river and through the woods."

Republicans, Democrats, and Independents stood together Wednesday in Augusta to speak out in favor of a proposal to get rid of parts of the Federal Real ID Act implemented in Maine under former Governor John Baldacci.

The federal law would eventually link every state drivers license and ID cards to a federal database but only if the federal government can get all states on board.

Real ID would also require facial recognition or retinal scans in order to get a license or state ID.

Real ID might not be as dead in the water as was orginally thought.

History

In 2005, both houses of Congress passed The Real ID Act, then signed by so-called conservative George W. Bush. The Act failed pass as a stand alone bill several times, but only passed when the sponsors had it tacked onto the back of an Iraq Defense spending bill.

In turn, thirty-four (34) states, including Virginia, enacted anit-real ID legislation that outlawed such provisions that were in the Act from becoming law in their state.

Virginia passed Anti-Real ID Act (SB 1431, HB 1587) which prohibits compliance with Real ID provisions. (Enacted 3/31/09)

Current Virginia Attorney General Ken T. Cuccinelli was the chief patron in the Virginia Senate and Delegate Bob G. Marshall was the Chief Patron in the Virginia House.

Real ID mandates RFID readable chips that can be read by any one who buys a reader.
Unfunded Mandates on the State governments costing Billions.
A central database that must be shared with all states, localities and in some cases foreign entities.
No statutory limitations on “official purpose”
Creates a federal identity document that every American will need in order to fly on commercial airlines, enter government buildings, open a bank account, and more.

The language says that those who don't have it can't participate in "Federal Activity", which is rather vague language that could be stretched into anything that comes under Federal Jurisdiction.

Here is a list of a few things that come under Federal Jurisdiction, law or oversight:

Getting a loan to buy a home, opening a bank account, getting any regular loan, getting a student loan, a car loan, refinancing your home, buying a gun, selling products across state lines, flying in a plane, driving your car (if your doesn't offer a state Drivers license alternative to real ID), getting a JOB, possibly crossing state lines (especially if the next state doesn't recognize your non-Real Id state license) and the list goes on and on and on. Real ID Resurfaces

Computerworld.com reports:

"A controversial 2005 bill designed to create a national standard for driver's licenses may not be quite as dead in the water as many might have assumed, according to a report released this week by the Center for Immigration Studies." (Read More Here)

It goes on to say how the Federal government is trying everything they can to re-implement this draconian Nazi style identification system which will limit your freedom of choice and movement . The States rejected it but they keep trying to find new ways to enforce it on us against the wishes of the states and the People.

So tell every one you can to call their Local, State and Federal Officials and urge them to fight a national ID of any kind.

War is the Health of the Sate (and the Economy too)

David Broder in his Washington Post Article, seemingly is advocating that Obama ramp up war with Iran to spur economic growth, and the war faction of the Republican Party will love him for it (though secretly).

You know the old saying:

"War is the Health of the State."

I guess in their view the economy too. They want to repeat history. War got us out of the Great Depression, not FDR's policies as claimed by revisionist historians.

Obama's policies, like FDR's will only get us in worse economic conditions and prolong the financial mess. People don't realize that the rest of the world got over the Great Depression in a couple of years, and only called it 'The Depression'; only we called it the great Depression. But FDR, like Obama now, enacted policies that made it worse.

People also believed that Herbert Hoover was a Laissez Faire conservative Republican. History really has repeated itself:

A fake non-free market Conservative Republican (Hoover/Bush), who was really a socialisy-lite, became president and enacted policies that hurt the economy, then rushed to bail it out with more failed economic policies.

Then a Democrat progressive socialist was elected President (FDR/Obama) because of the failed policies of the Republican socialist (Hoover/Bush), and blamed the problem on the Free Market.

Then once the Free Market was blamed, the Socialist Democrat President (FDR/Obama) began to enforce more failed socialist/fascist policies and near dictatorial presidential power. And this caused a depression to turn into a great depression, and the only way out:

The First Amendment protects Assange's free speech and freedom of the media, therefore the release of the documents by media is legal.

The 5th Amendment protects Assange from abuse of government authority in a legal procedure and 'due process' in court before they can take his life, liberty or property.

Therefore, the US government can't act like the Mafioso and harass Assange or bully his business partners as they did with his server host Amazon.com and his funding partner paypal.com.

I read this and I am pissed. This woman was too nice. I would have gotten up and gone after this guy and taken my child from him, and would probably be in jail.

Here's the story: (Vulgar Language edited out - and is totally understood)

As I sit and write this post, 24 hours after this event took place, my hands still shake… with rage and with terror.

I woke up this morning to my husband’s alarm clock, sat straight up in bed and thought “Where’s Jackson?” with fear paralyzing me.

My worst nightmare took place yesterday. Worse than events that have taken place and that I have survived in my short 28 years of living. Worse than my wildest of dreams could conjure.

My son was taken from me.

Taken.

My son was taken from me by the TSA agents at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport yesterday.

He was taken away from me and OUT OF MY SIGHT because his pacifier clip went off when I carried him through the metal detector.

According to the Transportation Security Administration Website “We will not ask you to do anything that will separate you from your child or children.”

Bullsh-t TSA.

You took my son. MY SON.

Here’s what took place… minute by terrifying minute…

I had Jackson in his stroller, his diaper bag, and a duffle bag which contained my mac book as I entered security. I placed all of these items on the conveyor belt to go through the metal detector. Jackson was in my arms, and in the midst of getting all of our gear on the conveyor belt, my mistake was neglecting to take off my son’s pacifier clip that hangs from his shirt, which is metal.

The instant I walked through the metal detector with Jackson in my arms, we beeped. I knew exactly why.

I told the TSA agent, who asked me to back up and walk through again, “It’s my son’s pacifier clip, can I put it on the conveyor belt?”

“Ma’am turn around and come back please,” I was told.

Of course Jackson’s clip went off again. Both Jackson and I were then escorted to a 6 ft tall plastic holding box because I was forced to wait for a female TSA agent to search me.

At this point in time, all of my belongings were sitting at the opposite end of the conveyor belt, thereby backing up every other passengers belongings because I was not there to gather mine.

A woman out of the kindness of her heart (and if you are out there somewhere reading this, THANK YOU) saw me just standing and waiting in my 6 ft plastic box and gathered my belongings for me. She waited with my stroller, my diaper bag, my duffle bag and my mac book. This woman motioned to me that everything (including my flip flops) was all together and then she left.

She must be a mother.

She understood.

I was so grateful.

4 female TSA agents stood at the end of 2 conveyor belts, gloves on their hands, none of them searching anyone, none of them doing anything but watching luggage pass through the conveyor belts.

It was at this point in time that I realized my flight was leaving in less than 45 minutes. I had not even been searched yet. I began to panic.

Through the 6 holes in the plastic box that contained Jackson and I, I began asking for help. I waved to all 4 female TSA agents, each of them looked at me and then looked away. Then I started speaking through the 6 holes, and said, “Can someone please search me? My flight leaves in less than 45 minutes.”

Each of the 4 women answered me using the same exact phrase…

“Ma’am you need to wait. I don’t care about your departure time.”

Eventually one of the four female TSA agents opened the door and let Jackson and I out of our plastic containment box. We were escorted to a chair that was opposite from where my belongings were. I asked if I could bring my belongings over or take a seat closer to where they were. I was told no and to take my seat.

At this point in time, my heart began to race, thinking we would miss our flight and I would be stuck in the Atlanta airport with Jackson for who knows how long until there was another flight to Baltimore.

The female TSA agent stood in front of me while I sat with Jackson and she continued to watch luggage come through the conveyor belt.

“Ma’am, can someone please just search me so we can be on our way? We are going to miss our flight,” I said.

The female agent then called an older gentleman, also a TSA agent over. The male TSA agent stood in front of me and said “I’m going to have to pat down your son.”

With Jackson still sitting in my lap (he was being so good despite all of this chaos) I said ok and continued to hold on to my son, expecting the male TSA agent to start touching Jackson.

He then told me, “I’m going to have to pick him up to inspect him.”

I rolled my eyes and sternly told him “It’s his pacifier clip that went off, can’t you just run that back through the belt and let us go. We are going to miss our flight.”

The female TSA agent, who had been standing there the entire time said to me, “You need to adjust your attitude and do as you are told.”

The male TSA agent repeated, “I’m going to have to pick him up to inspect him.”

I handed him my son.

I handed him my son and he walked away with my child.

My eyes welled up with tears, I stood up from my chair and I asked the female TSA agent, “Where is he going? Where is he taking my child? Why is he leaving?”

Jackson, while being whisked away looked at the male TSA agent awkwardly and repeated “no no no no.”

I started crying.

The female TSA agent did not answer me.

Panic set in. My hands began to shake. My body was sweating. My breath was short and my heart was racing.

They had taken my child and not told me.

Jackson was out of my eye sight.

I could not see my son.

Now sobbing, I repeated my questions to the female TSA agent.

She told me “Ma’am, we’re trying to be nice to you. We don’t know which one of you went off in the metal detector. Stay here so I can search you.”

“But my son… where is my son?” I asked over and over again.

The female TSA agent called a second female TSA agent over as she began to search me. Apparently the second female TSA agent could hear me protesting and asking for my son.

“Ma’am you need to calm down or I’m going to have to involve the authorities,” she told me.

Now I was pissed.

Horrified. Terrified. Enraged.

“You f-cking get the authorities,” I told the female TSA agent while the other continued to wand me and forced me to unbutton my jeans because the button beeped when she went over my abdomen with her wand.

“You get the godd_mn authorities right the f_ck now and tell them to GIVE ME MY SON,” I said.

I began to black out. I knew I was having a full on panic attack. I feared passing out.

I was told to take my seat again, after being searched, but I was not allowed to collect my belongings.

My cell phone was within reach and I grabbed it without being seen by the TSA agents.

I called my husband. I do not remember what I told him on the phone in terms of Jackson and what took place.

I do recall asking him to calm me down because I could not breathe. As a father, he couldn’t. I imagine any father would do the same. Paul had questions, tons of questions. Questions that I was not capable of answering because I literally was losing my breath and on the verge of blacking out.

I hung up and called my mother.

“Jackson’s gone,” I remember telling her. I do not remember what she said in return, but she instantly could tell I was having a panic attack. She began breathing with me on the phone in an attempt to calm me down.

She told me, “Nic, you’re going to have to stop crying. You need to be strong for Jackson. He’s going to be that much more scared if he sees mommy so upset. In through your nose… out through your mouth…” I think she may have counted, or had me count, I don’t know.

Jackson was still gone.

My guess is that all of this took place within a period of 10 minutes or less.

It felt like hours… days even.

My son was gone.

Sobbing and seated, I watched both female TSA agents walk away from me and go back to monitoring luggage come through the conveyor belt.

Finally the male TSA agent who took Jackson brought him back.

Jackson was in my sight and immediately started yelling, “Mommy!”

I was hysterical.

Running to my son and grabbing him from the male TSA agent’s arms, I sobbed and yelled obscenities at every single TSA agent who stood guard at the end of the conveyor belts.

One of them asked me if I wanted to speak to a supervisor.

Through tears I told him (or her, I don’t remember) that I had a flight I was about to miss.

With Jackson in my arms, I gathered our belongings, through him in the stroller and ran to the elevator that took us down to the tram to take us to our concourse where our plane waited.

B-25.

Sobbing as we traveled down the elevator, then during the tram ride, and up the next elevator to our concourse, I began running to our gate. I approached two female Delta agents at the desk of gate B-25.

“How much time do I have before this flight leaves?” I asked, knowing I needed to get to a bathroom due to my panic attack.

Looking at me concerned, I was told I had 5 minutes.

I ran to the bathroom. I placed Jackson on the diaper changing station with his juice and then I hit the floor. I could not see. I had no peripheral vision.

Channeling my mother, thinking of my phone call with her, I began to calm down.

I had an emergency Xanax in my jeans pocket. I always carry an emergency Xanax in my pocket. The result of severe anxiety.

I took the pill, but it did very little. I was so traumatized that it would’ve taken probably 4 Xanax to get my blood pressure back down to a normal level.

Splashing my face with cold water, then grabbing Jackson, I ran back to gate B-25.

Both female Delta agents looked at me and asked how they could help. I told them that my ticket had me at an aisle seat and if I could switch to a window (Jackson LOVES the window).

They told me that if I didn’t mind sitting at the back of the plane, they could give me an entire row to myself.

I started crying again. I told them a shortened version of what had just taken place and how grateful I was for their kindness.

One of the female Delta agents walked me down the jetway, helping me with the stroller and getting it a gate-claim ticket.

I hugged her. I thanked her. I got on the plane.

I had my son and we were on the plane.

I called my mother again, telling her briefly that I was on and to please call Paul. I didn’t remember that I had spoken to Paul earlier, and thought he did not know any of what had taken place.

Mom said she would call Paul and tell him everything. She reminded me that I had my son and we were on our way home.

Both Jackson and I slept during the flight. I held him so close that when he woke up, his head was drenched in sweat.

Our nightmare ended once the plane landed in Baltimore. Jackson and I exited, walked out of the concourse and Jackson demanded to get out of the stroller.

He ran to his daddy.

We were home.

I’m unsure how to end this post. I do not know what my story will lead to (if anything) but I needed to do more than file a complaint or write a letter. My hope is that this post of mine will be read by mothers and fathers, passed along to parents traveling with their children… most of all, my hope is that NO PARENT HAS THEIR CHILD TAKEN FROM THEM.

Gridlock and Regime Uncertainty - They aren't the same.

For those of us who want to see the role of the State reduced in the bedroom, the boardroom, and the war room, election day always brings mixed feelings. However, the one outcome that sometimes cheers us up happened this week: one party in control of the presidency and the other in control the Congress. What is often called “gridlock” is often good for freedom, at least in relative terms, since it checks the power of any either party to ram through its nearly-always anti-freedom agenda.

In the current environment, anything that halts the forward march of government control over economic decision-making would be a good thing. This is particularly so because the economy currently seems to be suffering from what economic historian Robert Higgs calls “regime uncertainty.” For Higgs this term refers to the uncertainty generated by government policies that generally trend toward more State control.
Even proposals that have passed, such as health care and financial “reform,” are so complex and confused that no one is sure exactly what they will mean for the business community. As a result, Higgs argues, the private sector hesitates to invest. (read more)

Controlled Event with Police State Tactics or Normal Arrest?

Eric Cantor has a special control crowd event, typical in today's party politics, in Louisa County at a local coffee shop, Solid Grounds.

According to eye witnesses, a senior citizen, Jon Taylor, while drinking his coffee, was told by police that he could stay but could not leave his car in front because it had Waugh signs and bumper stickers on it.

(Since when do police have the authority to do that?)

Mr. Taylor showed a meter receipt and the police left.

Then according to these same witnesses, police then returned and told Mr. Taylor that if he didn't leave then they would arrest him for trespassing. He was then taken outside and that's where we can see what happened next on the video.

Why I'm voting for Floyd Bayne

The argument about 3rd party candidates "spoiling" elections comes up a lot. Especially when Republican candidates have such a poor record of supporting conservative principles. The argument is that the 3rd party candidate can draw off enough votes for the Democrat in the race to win the election, and the Democrat doesn't even claim to support conservative principles.

The fact is, when we want our representatives in Washington to support our interests, we must have a way to "guide" them to do that. And unfortunately, the only real tool we have is our vote. Our calls and letters don't really seem to work - representatives (and Eric Cantor is especially guilty of this) avoid even taking a position if the can, and when they do, it rarely has any relationship to the views their constituents have expressed.

The answer is to use our vote effectively, and the way to do that is to cause pain for representatives that have strayed from voting the right way. There is very little debate that Eric Cantor has failed to be a conservative representative. How may calls, emails, and letters did he receive from us asking him not to support TARP? Yet he not only supported it, he accused members of his own party that voted against in the first round as childishly using their vote to express distaste with Pelosi's speech - as if none of them could have had a problem with the bill itself. And he did that on national television. If you're not aware of all the liberal and statist positions Eric Cantor has taken recently, please do a little research, or ask me and I will give you a run-down.

So how do we cause the required pain to steer our representatives back on course? We vote against him. And we do that even though it risks the possibility of a Democrat taking that seat (because a freshman Democrat in office for 2 years from a Republican district simply can't cause much damage). Our representative must then spend time fundraising (pain), campaigning (will Cantor come out AT ALL in this effort?), and fear for his previously secure seat. He may have to take time away from his book tour and think about promoting his constituents interests instead of his own.

Without the ability to cause our representative some heartache, he will continue to vote the wrong way, and he will do it now with gusto and impunity with the realization that he can ignore his constituents - because they will vote for him even when he is voting against their interests.

Why should conservatives vote for Rino and a big government republican like Eric Cantor?

Many people would try and convince you to re-elect Eric Cantor. But why would any freedom loving constitutionalist American want to do that?

Eric Cantor talks the talk but he doesn't walk the walk. We as conservatives can't let people like Eric Cantor steal our money in the guise of working for us just because there is an R by their name, and they talk the talk.

All a good conservative has to do is deeply check into Eric Cantor's voting record (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=400060) and they will see he is no conservative, at least not the definition you and I have.

Mr. Cantor voted for both bailouts, he made sure earmarks went to the bank where his wife is an executive, he voted for the big government boon-dongle No Child Left Behind, he voted for a new Medicare entitlement the Medicare Prescription Drug Program when Medicare is already broken and the list goes on and on and on and on.

He has lost touch with the people and has actually never been a real conservative.

If every real conservative would jump off of Captain Eric Cantor and his Republican Big Government Ship, and vote for Floyd Bayne, the Only Conservative in the Virginia 7th District Race, then he will be our next Congressman. So, look into Cantor's Record and look into Floyd Bayne for Congress at:
