Our regular food pantry time (11am to 2pm) on Saturday, August 7th will feature some entertainment in the gym and food for everybody. Come early and relax inside and we’ll give out numbers so you don’t lose your place in line and we’ll start the grocery give-away at 11am. We’re going to have some live music and great food! Our regular pantry hours are Tuesday 11-2pm, Thursday 4-6pm and Saturday 11-2pm.

Weekend Wingding! – April 15-17

We will be having a “Liberty Conference” this coming weekend. It will be at the Garrison Center (502 N. Water). On Friday we will have dinner at 6pm and worship/preaching at 7pm. On Saturday morning we will be doing something more like what we did in the park last year. We’ll be starting at 10am with hot dogs, soda, chips, fun for the kids, music and more. At noon we’ll have a grocery giveaway (until 2pm or we run out). Then Saturday night at 6pm we’ll have dinner with worship/preaching at 7pm. On Sunday morning we’re going to meet for worship and preaching at 10:00am. We’ll have dinner again at 6pm on Sunday with worship/preaching at 7pm.

If you want to come for dinner, bring soda or a side dish – or just come as you are! We’d love to have you be a part of this time. We really believe that God wants to show up in Liberty and change some things. This is a chance for us to come together and invite Him to Liberty. For more details call 816-716-7183.

Pantry Hours

Just a reminder, our food pantry hours at the Garrison Center (502 N. Water) are Tuesday 11am-2pm, Thursday 4pm-6pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. Volunteers need to be there 30-45 minutes early and expect to stay a little after to clean up.

We are currently praying for more refrigerators, another van and funding to increase the supply of food coming in. Needs continue to increase in the community, please continue to pray for us.

Holiday Pantry Schedule – 2010

The food pantry will be open on Tuesday, Dec. 21 from 11am to 2pm, open on Thursday, Dec. 23 from 4pm to 6pm, and closed on Saturday, Dec. 25.

Last chance to pick up holiday meat that you signed up for is on Thursday, Dec. 23.

Thanksgiving Dinner – 2pm – Garrison Center

LIBERTY Conference – October 29-31

We would like to invite everyone to the first ever “LIBERTY Conference” to be held October 29-31. We’re excited about this and have people coming in from all over the country to be a part. We have no idea how many people will be there, but we’re absolutely committed to make sure that everyone gets individual attention and leaves with what they need to walk FREE and be equipped for what the Lord is calling them to do. It will be a time of prayer, praise, personal attention, ministry to others and even a baptism down in the city with other ministries. Come whenever you can, leave whenever you need to. No charge for the conference, no charge for food, no charge for prayer.

We will start with dinner on Friday at 6pm, followed by prayer and worship as the Lord leads until whenever the Lord says we’re done. On Saturday from 10am to 2pm everyone will get a chance to see our food pantry in action and participate in helping feed the hundreds of people that come for help. We’ll have free time after that for folks to get personal ministry and counseling or whatever they need. At 6pm we’ll have dinner again followed by prayer and worship time for however long it takes. On Sunday morning at 10am, we’ll be heading down to “Bessie’s House” in the Northeast part of Kansas City, Missouri at Independence Avenue and Brighton for a baptism in the front yard. We expect over 20 people will be getting baptized by several different ministries! If you need to be baptized, come and we’ll be glad to counsel you about it and dunk ya! After that on Sunday we’ll have some more time for individual ministry, then dinner again at 6pm and prayer following. Again, come when you can, leave when you must. We’d just love to see you!

The bulk of all the events will be held at 502 N. Water at the Garrison Center. We will be housing some people at our ministries houses as there is a need (106 Crawford). Food Giveaway in the Park – Saturday, October 16

Another “Community Care Event”! We’ll be in Ruth Moore Park (Grover and Mississippi, downtown Liberty by the fire station) giving away about 20,000 pounds of groceries at NOON on Saturday, October 16th. Bring wagons or baskets or whatever you have. We’ll have music playing, free hot dogs and drinks and just want to be a blessing to you.

Time with Jesus – Sunday 6:00pm – Garrison Center

This Sunday (Oct. 3) at 6pm we’re going to have some more Time with Jesus at the Garrison Center at 502 N. Water. We’ll have some dinner following. Last week we had about 20 folks and had some awesome prayer time! One young man even drove in from Illinois over 5 hours, just for the meeting! I’m hearing great reports of the result in him of that prayer time.

Please come if the Lord allows. We want to continue to pray that the Body of Christ in Liberty would be ONE BODY for a change. Love you. Really do. Not going to stop.

Time with Jesus – and DINNER – Sunday, 9/26, 6pm

We ARE the Church. We don’t GO to Church. We don’t BUILD a Church. We ARE the Church. And we’re supposed to BE the Church all the time. And sometimes it’s good to get together and BE the Church all at the same time. People have asked when we gather and how they can be a part. This Sunday night (9/26) at 6pm we’re going to gather whoever would like and have some time with Jesus at the Garrison Center, followed by dinner afterward. Some call it a “church service” but we think that’s kind of stuffy. We’d rather just get together and ask Jesus to show up and be in charge. If you need prayer or would like to learn more about the reality of a relationship with Jesus Christ, this would be a good time. We’ll have dinner afterward. Everybody is invited. Dress however, you know we’re not fussy.

Food Giveaway in Ruth Moore Park – Saturday, 9/25, NOON

We WILL be in the park this Saturday for a food distribution from Harvesters. We expect the food giveaway to start at NOON (12pm). If you line up at 7:30am, it will be a LOOOONG day! Ruth Moore Park is at the corner of Mississippi and Grover about two blocks from the Historic Liberty Square, next to the fire station. The pantry at the Garrison Center (502 N. Water) will be closed on that day.
