Yes, it is time again I think to open up the old mailbag and answer some reader email. Let’s start with Anne:

How come I have never heard of this Acorn group before? You righties just trying to pick on someone trying to do good work now all of a sudden and trying to smear them?

Anne, Not my fault you haven’t been paying attention for the past couple years. I’ve been talking about ACORN and their corruption for a while. It is not a recent thing although I have talked about them more often more recently for, I think, good reason. Don’t blame me because you’ve had your head in the sand.

From Dirk:

You fucking retarded fascists on the right are making me sick! All you do is tear down President Obama and all of the great things he is trying to do!

Dirk, Fascists on the right? Hmmm. Some day you will have to explain to me how those of us on the “right” (actually the center as the “right” is where the anarchists are) that promote limited government and personal liberty are the same as big government loving fascists. As for all of the “great things” that Obama is doing, you mean like selling our children into slavery with huge deficits, violating the Constitution and that sort of stuff?

Dirk responds:

Oh, now you rigthies care about big government? Never heard you bitch one bit while Bushy was in office! FUCK OFF!

Dirk, I see you have given up your talking point about me being a “fascist.” That’s a sign of progress and learning on your part which means there is hope for you yet. As for making the claim that I didn’t “bitch” about big government and unconstitutional spending while George W. Bush was president, have you read my blog at all? I think you are probably one of the most uninformed fools I have ever met to make such claims. Check it out www.libertyreborn.com. There is a search function and I would suggest using terms like Bush, George Bush, President Bush, unconstitutional, etc to turn up quite a few facts about what I have said to help you learn some more. You can also check out www.americanconservativedaily.com and search through my opinions there which go back even further than on the previous site. After doing so I will expect you to apologize for your misinformed opinions.

It has been four weeks and Dirk has been silent with no appology forthcoming.

American Conservative Daily asked its readers, “Do you think that Chicago, with its high crime and murder rate, was a good choice to even nominate as a host city for an Olympic Games?” The results were lopsided and predictable.

90% of visitors said, “No.” Just 6% said, “Yes,” and 4% had, “No Opinon.” (polls archive)

The entire bid came crashing down, as you will recall, when President Obama dropped everything to fly to Denmark to try to secure the Olympics for his home city. But the committee rejected the dysfunctional city in the very first round and by an overwhelming margin leaving Obama with egg on his face and the corrupt politicians from the Chicago machine unable to exploit the Games to line their own pockets.

Apparently the American people tend to agree that Chicago was not worthy as well.

Friday the Department of Labor released the latest unemployment numbers. Leading up to the release the talking head “experts” thought that it would go up to 9.9% or maybe 10.0%. But when it was anounced that the jump was far worse to 10.2% it seemed to take a lot of people by surprise.

Yes, 10.2% is now our unemployment rate not including those people who have given up looking for work which is perhaps another 6-7% on top of that. Rewind please to President Obama’s pleading that if we allowed him to pass the unconstitutional stimulus bill the unemployment rate would be capped at 8%. Yeah … another failure for Uncle Barack!

Of course the excuse is still the same for the left. They blame President George W. Bush and claim things were worse than they knew or could possibly imagine. Of course we all know the truth which is that Congress makes laws and the Congress has been in the hands of the the liberal Democrats since 2006 (BEFORE the panic turned recession began). And in that Congress was one Senator Barack Obama who regularly voted for every big government, unconstitutional bill that came before him and who defended his liberal brethren at every turn. Blaming Bush for the actions of Congress is absolutely childish.

Today however Barack Obama and members of Congress are in near lockstep with each other. When necessary they help each other and have embraced President Obama’s game plan for bigger government and more spending which will sell out children deeper into slavery to them.

The results? 10.2% unemployment and an economy that continues to struggle. The only sign of life so far has been a single possitive quarter spurred to such by a massive government spending blitz (Cash for Clunkers) which was so unsustainable that Congress let it end. Now the fourth quarter is upon us and the left hopes and prays that the Christmas season will give them a second straight possitive quarter to point to. But what about 2010? What will they do then? And how quickly will the crash come as the well runs dry?

Those who support murdering children in the womb are in a tizzy with the news how of a former Planned Parenthood director in Texas, Abby Johnson, turning away from the organization after witnessing a child actually being aborted on ultrasound and its life literally being sucked out. Oh, it is not good news for an organization that survives on the industry of murdering babies, keeping quiet its atrocities and sugar coating them while actively promoting a hideous holocaust whose toll is in the tens of millions. Nothing irks the “free thinking” liberals of the abortion movement more than to call them murders and comparing their act to Hitler and the NAZIs against the Jews. It makes them wince at the mere insinuation. But the truth is the truth.

In recent years, and as technology continues to advance, the pro-murder of children crowd has lost support. The average person might not be able to understand how even by the most basic of biological standards that “lump of cells” is a human life from the moment of conception but what they can understand by just watching ultrasounds is that at just eight to nine weeks that “lump of cells” looks too human to deny its true nature. Of course “looking” like a human being is not the standard of human life and never has been although it is one of the extra conditions the pro-baby murdering crowd tries to tack on to the definition of life in order to justify their wrongheaded beliefs. A newly hatched tadpole doesn’t look like an adult frog but only an idiot would claim that the tadpole is not alive.

There are other superfluous claims that the liberal baby killers will also try to make as well. Sometimes they will claim that the baby is not alive because it is a “parasite.” But so are tapeworms and leeches and no one with even a basic understanding of biology claims that these animals are not alive. They will claim that because the “lump of cells” has no ability for higher thought that it is not a living being. Well, bacteria have no mental capacity either and once again they are most certainly alive. Sometimes they get the idea that because this very young child cannot survive on its own means that it is not alive either. Oh, I am sure that the parent of the 2 week old or the quadriplegic in the hospital who are completely dependant on others will be glad to hear of this standard of “life.” Then when they are really desperate they claim that the mother should not be “punished” by being forced to host this vile organism inside of her. Of course they have no qualms about “punishing” the child and stripping life from it without the child having done a single thing to warrant such.

Yep, it is a pretty pathetic existence those that try to rationalize their anti-life, anti-child and pro-murder stance live day in and day out. Thankfully though more and more people each year are awakening to the horror of abortion and the sinister types who work for Planned Parenthood, an organization which follows gleefully in the footsteps of infamous eugenicist and racist Margaret Sanger, and they have fewer and fewer people to prey on each year in order to sustain themselves. Yes, abortion is big business, and a huge special interest that generates lots of cash for those in the racket.

There is, however, a good way to speed up the rejection of the murdering of innocent human life however. And while the murdering of children should not be a game, perhaps making it one for the proponents of such acts would see how much they really believe in their own ideology and theory that that “lump of cells” is not a living human being.

We could call it, “Would You Bet Your Life?” and it would be very simple. Every abortion proponent would be brought in one by one every time there was an abortion about to be performed. They would be sat in a room before two buzzers. Before them would be placed two sets of DNA; one from themselves and one from the child that they would normally want to abort. They must pick one and the person belonging to the one they pick gets their life ended. They will get to study the choices as much as they like and come to a conclusion as to which is not a human being and which is not alive. If that “lump of cells” is not either than it should be relatively easy right?

In reality though it would basically be a 50-50 game of Russian roulette for the pro-baby murder supporter sitting in the chair. And you know damn well that no proponent of killing babies in the womb would ever take this challenge because they could never tell the difference between that “lump of cells” (a very young human being) and themselves in such a scenario and they would have to wildly guess each time they were called in to participate. Sure, they might get lucky a couple times but even the brain dead supporters of abortion know that their luck will run out and that their own life will be snuffed out. Perhaps by having their brains sucked out of there skulls or some other grotesque means like they love to see done to helpless children.

Most of the people that support abortion know that that thing inside the mother’s womb is a human child from the moment of conception. But they need a reality check to get them to stop being so cavalier about how to treat it. When their own life has to be put on the line perhaps that will be the trigger to kicking their brain into gear and they will decry the violence and disgusting acts that they support day in and day out.

The military first told us that Major Hasan, the shooter at Fort Hood, had died. Then this morning when I awoke I learned that this was not true. All very weird.

The military first told us that Major Hasan, the shooter at Fort Hood, had died. Then this morning when I awoke I learned that this was not true. All very weird. I want to say that I am happy he is not dead because I want to see what our interrogators have in store for him which could be a fate far worse than death and it should be. I want to know what he knows and our intelligence officials should get every last bit of information from him.

America has also learned a lot more about this man who, to put it bluntly, is a coward. And the more we learn about Mr. Hasan, the more we see him for what he really is.

Maj. Hasan is one of those typical sorts it seems who join the military and take tax payer dollars to support their education and lives. But when they are asked to repay that debt and serve their country they get all offended about such a request. Hasan apparently was not all that happy that the United States was fighting his radical Islamic brothers and sisters abroad and when he learned that the messiah, Barack Obama was not going to immediately halt the fight against them he reportedly became even more agitated at the situation. His pending deployment to fight against the Jihadis he seems to have supported, by several reports, apparently pushed him over the edge.

His family seems to be feigning surprise! Yet already reporters have had little trouble turning up at least a few people inside and outside of the military whom Hasan had given detailed information to about his opinions on the matter of the War Against Islamic Terror. Even more stranglely, according to reports, Hasan, a life-long Muslim and United States citizen, listed his nationality as “Palestinian” with his Mosque according to reports.

There is also a bizarre and quite frankly morbid attempt going on right now by some to portray Hasan as the victim in all this. There are claims that he was the victim of harassment because of his faith. Yet after having spoken to several active duty soldiers and veterans, their response to such claims is disbelief reinforcing that there is no way that a Major would be harassed without serious implications for those doing the harassment no matter where it came from in the chain of command. It just does not seem to happen. Reports are that he had few friends and was a loner. Apparently now we see why! The man was a psycho!

I have also heard reports that seem to portray this man as having led some sort of ultimately stressful existence while in the military. There are people that are writing rambling excuses for this man that makes it sound as if he had been on the front lines of the War Against Islamic Terror watching his buddies getting blown to smithereens and dying in his arms. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Here, however, is what we ultimately know. After the entire exercise of excuse making by the sniveling and once all the hand wringing is done the truth is just so simple. Nidal Malik Hasan is a cowardly terrorist. You can spin it any way you want. You can sugar coat the man with all the sweetness that you can concoct. But Hasan was just a little Jihadi who was biding his time waiting to kill. And no one, despite the warnings, seemed willing to do anything about it.

We are still waiting to hear more about the shooter at Fort Hood who recently expressed his unhappiness with being deployed to the Middle East and today opened fire, killing tens of people on the military base. One thing we have learned is that this deliberate act was perpetrated by a soldier named … wait for it … Army Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan. Uh, guess I am not surprised to hear that.

His religion is unknown as of me writing this but with a name like Malik Nadal Hasan it certainly points towards a high probability of a man who practices a radical Islamic faith. At least one source claims that Hasan is indeed a convert to Islam.

UPDATE at 4:53 p.m.: The Associated Press has confirmed what ABC first reported: the suspected shooter who has been killed is U.S. Army Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan. He is said to be a convert to Islam.

Even so the FBI has declared, rather quickly and surprising, that this was not an act of terrorism. Although we know that there were two others involved, Army Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan was killed, officials are hesitant to call this a conspiracy.

It is all very bizare on all fronts and the speed with which the authorities reacted to denounce obvious questions and without any obvious investigation raises even more questions than answers. I certainly will not be stunned to learn that Army Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan was a member of a radical Islamic faith if it turns out to be true.

That is down a whopping 13% in just one year!

Meanwhile the percentage of Americans who think that the country’s best days are behind us rose by 13% to 52%. Gee, so much for bringing hope huh Mr. Obama? Yeah, making 13% more Americans pessimistic is not real success in that department is it Mr. Obama?

Oh, I am sure that if you ask Speakerette of the House Nancy Pelosi her opinions on these numbers she will talk about the great strides they have made to bring hope to the masses and how the numbers of Americans who think positive things about America moving forward going down is really a “victory” for her and her party. But then again if you ever asked Nancy what she thought about anything you would be a fool for asking an even bigger fool who wouldn’t know how to survive in life without that silver spoon planted firmly in her mouth.

Well, at least Obama kept half his promise. He has certainly “changed” how Americans see America moving forward. Somehow though I do not think this is what most people who voted for him thought he was going to do.

FLUSH! Hear that? That is the sound of $2.3 Billion of TARP dollars going bye bye down the drain. Yep, it is gone … wave goodbye.

CIT’s bankruptcy filing, despite getting those billions proves a few obvious lessons to be true once again. First is that failing businesses will fail no matter how much money you throw at them and that not even the deep pockets of the government can prevent that. They may delay it, but they cannot prevent it. Second is that bankruptcy is a good tool for businesses that have gotten themselves into trouble do to 1) bad management and 2) getting in league with the government and doing stupid things on its behest. And finally it proves that the government really doesn’t know how to spend our money better than we do as shown by the fact that the bailout was supposed to help them not get into this situation in the first place.

Yes, isn’t it great to know that you’ve been had? I say “you” because I warned you that stuff like this was the inevitable result of this sort of fiscal insanity by the federal government. But so few listened from the voting public to the brianiacs in Washington DC. All I can hope for is that next time government tells you that they know what they are doing and that what they are doing will help and that they will recoup their “investment” that the rest of you out there in America will listen a little more intently and understand that you are being lied to.

Next time let’s just let the failing companies fail and stop flushing our hard earned money down the toilet at the urging of the socialists.

Politicians sometimes get a little desperate when they are about to potentially loose their political power. The Democrats in New Jersery is a prime example. Yesterday mysterious calls for independent candidate for Governor Christopher Daggett started appearing on voter’s answering machines. Evidence gathered early on, based on phone numbers used and a reference to the NJDSC (New Jersey Democrat State Committee), pointed to the Democratic Party making the calls.

Hmmm … that’s odd … in a tight three way race between a Republican Candidate, a Democrat Candidate with an independent in the mix you have the Democratic Party making calls in support of the independent? No, not really. Democrats see the independent as able to draw votes away from the Republican Party Candidate Chris Christie and are trying to do just that. But, the plot thickened as the Democrats completely denied the actions!

Well … looks they have to retract that and admit that they are indeed supporting the independent:

The Democratic State Committee now admits paying for a robocall to Somerset County voters that slams Republican Chris Christie and promotes independent gubernatorial candidate Christopher Daggett.

A Democratic spokeswoman says the party’s chairman, Joe Cryan, was not aware of the robocalls when he denied that the state committee had anything to do with them yesterday afternoon.

Cryan, who told PolitickerNJ.com yesterday afternoon that the Democratic State Committee had “absolutely” nothing to do with the call, could not immediately be reached for comment.

The call angered Republicans and further fueled conspiracy theories that Daggett is in cahoots with the Corzine camp. A disclaimer at the end says it was paid for by Victory ’09, “a project of the NJDSC” (Democratic State Committee), and gave the committee’s Trenton address.

Oops!

Ok so the Democrats have a candidate in the race. But they are running calls in support of another candidate? Well I hope that Democrats take this to heart and vote for the candidate that their party is endorsing – Christopher Daggett. Because apparently they really like him.

Nah … they are just playing dirty tricks and hoping no one realizes it because no one listens to the little disclaimer or knows what it means. Corzine needs all the help he can get and the Democrats are spending money trying to trick voters into voting for another candidate! I guess he cannot run on his record of further collasping the economy of the state of New Jersey huh?

Is Christie the answer? Probably not. I’ll bet ya dimes to donuts he will be another in a long line of weak-kneed Republicans if elected. But is he better than Corzine? Oh, you bet! Now all he has to do is overcome any voter fraud and all the ballots that will be turning up in warehouses and in closets if the race is even close when the polls close tonight. That is assuming that the voters of New Jersey are smart enough to end the insanity that they keep visiting upon themselves at the polls today.

It has been pandemonium with government bureaucrats trying hard to get everyone worked up into a lather about the H1N1 virus, affectionately called the Swine Flu. But as seems typical whenever the government tries to tell us how bad something is going to be for us and is trying to heard Americans into getting a special shot that they have tried to provide (almost completely unsuccessfully as shortages are rampant) they are excluding some important information like that so far the Swine Flu appears much less fatal than even the seasonal flu.

Each and every year somewhere between 30,000 and 40,000 Americans die from either the seasonal flu or complications from the disease. Right now we are supposedly in the height of the Swine Flu Pandemic. And right now there have been just 1,452 confirmed deaths from the Swine Flu in the United States. I get this data from the summary page about the pandemic at Wikipedia.

Oh, it is going to suck to get sick with the Swine Flu for certain, but even now at the peak of the danger it is going to have a long way to go to even match the toll in human lives that the seasonal flu does year in and year out. It’s highly contagious, but we will have to wait and see whether or not it is as fatal.

So far? It is not keeping pace with its more common and seasonal brethren. And here we have been told how bad everything is going to be by Big Brother as they try to lead us around and scare us into submission.
