In the wee hours Tuesday morning, the Moon rushes into fiery, cardinal Aries where it will find several friendly faces. The first aspect is an energizing sextile to Uranus in Gemini first thing Tuesday morning. An hour or so later the Aries Moon conjoins Neptune in Aries, and good sense is very likely to fly out the window for a while. Midday the Aries Moon makes it monthly sextile to Pluto in Aquarius, underscoring the need to look ahead to the future. After that the Aries Moon will travel unaspected until shortly after midnight.

Well before dawn on Wednesday, the Aries Moon conjoins Saturn in Aries, a sobering influence likely to counteract some of the more off the wall notions from Tuesday. At the same time, the Aries Moon squares Mercury in Cancer, and this is likely to result in hurt feelings followed by the silent treatment. During the morning on Wednesday, the Aries Moon is unaspected and we should be able to make some progress. Early afternoon, the Aries Moon is sextile the Gemini Sun, always good for expanding our intellectual horizons while enjoying a few laughs. Around midnight Wednesday night, the Aries Moon will square first Jupiter in Cancer, and then Venus in Cancer before going void-of-course until close to dawn on Thursday. Tuesday afternoon and most of the day on Wednesday do appear to be the most favorable for taking action and doing our best to see our needs are meant. The Aries Moon-Cancer planet squares look to be the most fraught because emotional issues are very likely to surface. It’s a good time to take a step back and consider where people are coming from rather than doing the Aries thing of going on attack. Think about it.

There are two astro-events during the Moon’s stay in Aries, and both are on Tuesday. Venus conjoins Jupiter in Cancer, and Mercury in Cancer is square Saturn in Aries.

Venus conjoining Jupiter at 25° Cancer is a very big deal, in part because anything Jupiter touches expands with the possibility of being blown out of proportion. When these two beneficent planets combine forces, optimism rises and we feel anything is possible. This aspect does favor matters related to home and family, though we might want to review our financial situation before starting a remodel or buying a new home. Just because it sounds like a wonderful idea, doesn’t mean we can afford to do it.

The Mercury in Cancer square to Saturn in Aries has a bite to it. Raining on someone’s parade just because we feel we have the authority to do so might not end well. Keep in mind Mercury in Cancer never forgets a slight and carry a grudge forever. What may seem like a capitulation could turn out to be a big problem down the road when we least expect. Be careful!

Late Saturday, the Moon glides into watery, mutable Pisces for a couple of days. The first aspect is a square to Uranus in Gemini deep in the night. This is going to be tough aspect for the sensitive Pisces Moon in the months/years to come. Uranus in Gemini is quite disruptive to energy fields, especially the nervous system. Hang in there.

It will be midday on Sunday before the Pisces Moon makes its next aspect, a calming trine to Mercury in Cancer. It ought to help us calm our minds and tap into our intuition to resolve any lingering issues raised by the Pisces Moon-Uranus in Gemini square. Late Sunday night, the Pisces Moon is further supported by a sextile to solid Mars in Taurus. Sunday does appear to be a true day of rest for us weary souls.

Not too long before daybreak on Monday, the Pisces Moon squares the Sun in Gemini. We might find this aspect more exciting than debilitating. It also marks the midpoint between the full moon and the new moon. We will have an unaspected Pisces Moon for most of the day on Monday which should be good for going about our normal Monday routines. Late Monday afternoon/early evening, the Pisces Moon is trine the Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer before going void-of-course for a few hours. Once we’re past the effects of the Pisces Moon-Uranus in Gemini square, we should be able to relax and enjoy the sweetness that is the Pisces Moon. The planets in Cancer are wonderful for moderating the impact of the Gemini planets, allowing our nerves to settle and encouraging us to relax into the flow. Do take more time to rest up if needed.

There are no astro-events during the Moon’s stay in Pisces, giving us an extended breathing space. We have needed this badly, after what has been a very busy period in the heavens. Time for some self-nurturing!

Thursday morning, the Moon transitions into airy, fixed Aquarius which sets up the potential for plenty of interesting conversations. This is especially true when the Aquarius Moon is trine Uranus in Gemini midday. Then those conversations could take some unusual and unexpected turns, generating some brilliant theories as well as some off the wall ones. During the afternoon, the Aquarius Moon makes its monthly sextile Neptune in Aries, a creative aspect but often with misleading results, leading to a great deal of bad information floating around. An hour or so later, the Aquarius Moon conjoins Pluto in Aquarius, an aspect that is very good for tracking down the truth by drawing on sources within our personal collectives. Mental energies are likely to be strong at this time.

First thing Friday morning, the Aquarius Moon is sextile Saturn in Aries which is excellent for sorting through the possible scenarios we’re working with to determine which one has the best chance of success. Later in the morning, the Aquarius Moon squares Mars in Taurus. There is nothing like fixed square to bring discussions to a halt and then encouraging us to give a firm ‘no’ to those bright ideas with no foundation in reality. Early afternoon, the Aquarius Moon is trine the Gemini Sun before going void-of-course for over twenty-four hours.

It will be late Saturday afternoon before the Moon slips into Pisces, after a day with a void-of-course Aquarius Moon. Something to keep in mind at this time is all the Outer Planets are in fire and air; Saturn in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius which means only the inner planets will be in water and earth signs. Whenever the Moon is in fire and air signs, we are likely to notice an uptick in hot air leading to heated discussions. Unless there are other planets in water and earth to bring the atmosphere into balance, we might want to consciously focus on using common sense and intuition to keep from wandering way off track.

There are no astro-events during the Moon’s stay in Aquarius! We are being blessed with a breathing space and can use the time to process everything that happened over the past week or so. One thing the Aquarius Moon does is encourage us to review our lives with a degree of detachment and from a higher perspective, making sensible changes possible.

The Capricorn Moon shows up Monday evening and immediately sets about restoring order in our lives. The first aspect the Capricorn Moon makes Monday evening is an opposition to intuitive Mercury in Cancer. Discussions over differences in opinion can be resolved as long as we stay level-headed and respectful of the other person’s feelings. Otherwise, simple discussions could devolve into endless bickering.

Before dawn on Tuesday, the Capricorn Moon makes its monthly square to Neptune in Aries, an aspect we’ll probably find annoying for many years. The Capricorn Moon is going to push back as best it can against Neptune’s fogginess but without much real impact. *sigh* Late afternoon/early evening, the Capricorn Moon enjoys a trine to Mars in Taurus, a fine, solid productive vibe that is very good for planning the next day’s agenda. Later in the evening, the Capricorn Moon squares Saturn in Aries, a much more accommodating aspect than one would expect, largely because Saturn rules Capricorn and both the Capricorn Moon and Saturn in Aries are invested in seeing things proceed in an orderly manner.

Wednesday morning, the Capricorn Moon opposes Venus in Cancer, and this gives us an opportunity to mend fences with our loved ones in simple, direct ways. Late Wednesday evening, the Capricorn Moon opposes Jupiter in Cancer before going void-of-course until Thursday morning. It is unlikely we’ll lose any momentum under a void-of-course Capricorn Moon, even distracted by Jupiter in Cancer’s enthusiasms. If we can keep our heads down and stay on task, we should be able to get something accomplished under the Capricorn Moon.

There are two astro-events during the Moon’s stay in Capricorn. On Tuesday, the Gemini Sun is sextile Saturn in Aries and on Wednesday, Mercury in Cancer is square Neptune in Aries.

The Gemini Sun really benefits from the sextile to stern Saturn in Aries because Saturn can help the Gemini Sun set priorities and focus energy accordingly. This is really helpful for those interested in communicating effectively because it is very good for creating an outline and sticking to it.

Mercury in Cancer can be overwhelmed by Neptune in Aries, and that can lead to real challenges in getting our message across with clarity. We might think we’re sharing accurate information, only to find out later it was a hoax. Saturn in Aries will come along next week to square Mercury in Cancer, and that may clear things up. This is not the best time to be making decisions about vital issues. It is rather like those days when Mercury is stationing retrograde. Be careful.

First thing Saturday morning, the Moon catapults into Sagittarius and the fiery games begin again. A mid-morning opposition to Uranus in Gemini multiplies the general edginess and desire to rush full speed ahead. These days, the Sagittarius Moon epitomizes the Fool from the tarot, leaping off a cliff without looking down. In the afternoon, the Sagittarius Moon is trine Neptune in Aries which is not likely to decrease the feeling of invulnerability pervading the atmosphere. Towards evening, the Sagittarius Moon makes its monthly sextile to Pluto in Aquarius, definitely a big picture energy. All of this giddy energy is certainly fun for some folks, though there is some serious eyerolling going on at the same time. Irrational exuberance is on the rise again.

Well before dawn on Sunday, the Sagittarius Moon is part of the Full Moon in Sagittarius. There is a Yod Kite with the Sagittarius Moon at the apex, a sextile with Mars in Taurus and Venus in Cancer as the base with the Gemini Sun opposing the Moon. This is a rather unsettling Full Moon that offers more questions than answers. Shortly after dawn on Sunday, the Sagittarius Moon is trine Saturn in Aries before going void-of-course. This is an exceptionally long void-of-course because it lasts from Sunday morning until Monday evening. Void-of-course mutable Moons are seldom good for making sustained efforts which is less problematical on a weekend, but we might have to make a conscious effort on Monday to stay on task which is one reason for sticking with our normal routines.

There are two astro-events during the Moon’s stay in Sagittarius. On Sunday, we have the Full Moon in Sagittarius, and on Monday, Mercury leaves Gemini for Cancer.

There is a feeling about this Full Moon in Sagittarius of Icarus flying into the Sun. It seems some people need to be made aware of their human side, and Mars in Taurus in concert with Venus in Cancer are interested in making this happen. Saturn in Aries does its best to rein in the Gemini-Sagittarius axis via a trine to the Moon and sextile to the Sun. Will that be enough? Time will tell. For now, it does behoove us to do our best to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground as well as making a point of being sensitive to other people’s feelings. If not, then like Icarus our wings may burn up and we’ll fall a long, long ways.

Mercury leaving its home sign of Gemini for watery Cancer is big. Especially this year when Mercury in Gemini had significant support from the Gemini Sun and Uranus in Gemini. Now we’re in the normal process of Mercury moving from Gemini to Cancer, shifting the way information is gathered and shared. Mercury in Cancer is highly intuitive and does not have the same need Mercury in Gemini does to share every thought that crosses the mind. Mercury in Cancer is more inclined to remain silent and keep its thoughts to itself, similar to Mercury in Scorpio and Pisces. This shift also gives us three planets in Cancer, and that helps bring the elements into a better balance with all four elements in the sky. It’s time for us to lean into our own intuition and make it a point to practice our listening skills.

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Moon dives into watery, fixed Scorpio for a couple of days. Wednesday night is quiet with an unaspected Scorpio Moon but Thursday morning, the Scorpio Moon is part of a fixed T-square with an opposition to Mars in Taurus and both square Pluto in Aquarius. Issues we may have thought were behind us may resurrect and cause some headaches for us. We might have to decide whether to let go of those or end up fighting again, this time with a bigger emotional punch. Thursday afternoon/evening, we are blessed with the Scorpio Moon trine sweet Venus in Cancer which should help heal wounded feelings from earlier in the day. With the strong fire and air presence in the sky at this time, we may want to stop and recognize the important role emotions play in our lives. Not everyone lives in their heads after all.

The Scorpio Moon will be unaspected most of the day on Friday. It will be late afternoon/early evening before it will be trine Jupiter in Cancer, and after that the Moon will be void-of-course until early Saturday morning. The Scorpio Moon-Jupiter in Cancer trine does favor a calm, enjoyable Friday evening, though more folks are likely to choose staying at home than going out. This lunar month the Scorpio Moon spends quite a lot of time either unaspected or void-of-course which gives us time with pure Scorpio Moon energy. If we have projects we’re working on that require attention to detail or intensive research work, this is good energy for focusing on that type of activity. This is an excellent state of affairs for winding up the work week in style.

There is one astro-event during the Moon’s stay in Scorpio, and that occurs on Thursday when Venus in Cancer squares Saturn in Aries. Taking a hard, unforgiving tone with loved ones will likely end with someone in tears. Venus in Cancer is quite sensitive, and like most water signs, tears are a natural response to hurt feelings. It might be better to lighten up some, and dial back the authoritarian tone Saturn can be prone to using. Saturn/Venus aspects are seldom fun but they can help us when it comes to making decisions about whether or not our relationships are worth making a strong commitment to.

A far more mental tone enters the atmosphere on Monday when the Moon shifts into airy, cardinal Libra in the morning. Naturally, the first aspect the Libra Moon makes is a trine to Uranus in Gemini midday, followed by an opposition to Neptune in Aries in the afternoon as well as a trine to the Gemini Sun. Late afternoon/early evening, the Libra Moon is trine Pluto in Aquarius. Over the course of the day, a Kite Pattern is formed which clearly strengthens the influence of fire and air. This is quite good for generating ideas, doing some serious brainstorming at work and generally adding to the high level of chatter in the air.

Shortly after midnight Monday night, the Libra Moon squares Venus in Cancer, a surprisingly gentle vibe because Venus ruled Libra always treats Venus, no matter the sign, graciously. At the start of the workday, the Libra Moon opposes Saturn in Aries which reinforces the need to make work a priority. After that, the Libra Moon will spend the rest of the unaspected, spreading the need to cooperate and practice making fair decisions. Very late Tuesday night, the Libra Moon square Jupiter in Cancer before going void-of-course until Wednesday evening. A void-of-course cardinal Libra Moon is good for maintaining some momentum though it would still best to stick with existing projects rather than starting something new. All the fire and air activity in the sky is great for kicking our minds into high gear. We’re probably going to have a lot to sort through in order to decide what to keep and what to let dissolve into thin air.

All the air energy is pointing towards having the tools to talk through our issues. The Libra Moon can help find compromises, the Gemini Sun and Mercury in Gemini excel at collecting data and Pluto in Aquarius has the ability to keep revealing the truth. Very, very late Friday night, the Moon leaves flamboyant Leo for quiet, industrious Virgo. The mutable Virgo Moon proceeds to square Uranus in Gemini and the Gemini Sun between midnight and dawn, both aspects likely to increase nervous tensions and add to the overall feel of instability. It’s a good thing Mars in Taurus shows up close to daybreak Saturday morning to steady the Virgo Moon via a trine. This is a “you can do it” vibe. Then the Virgo Moon goes on to sextile Venus in Cancer midday, another calming influence. After that the Virgo Moon will spend the rest of Saturday unaspected which is a good thing for helping us with setting priorities for our Saturday activities.

Sunday, we have another predawn jolt when the Virgo Moon squares Mercury in Gemini which does suggest our early morning conversations could take a snarky turn. We may as well shake off any lingering effects and get on with our usual Sunday routines under a helpful, unaspected Virgo Moon. Virgo Moons are great for reminding us to dust those hard-to-reach places in our homes and eat healthy foods. Evening brings an upbeat aspect when the Virgo Moon is sextile Jupiter in Cancer before going void-of-course until Monday morning. Those of us who are finding those times when the Moons in mutable signs are in hard aspect to Uranus in Gemini disturbing may want to note when this is happening and take precautions. Humans are adaptable creatures, and we’ll eventually adjust but until then it might be a good idea to seek out the best tools we have to relieve stress.

Let the party begin! The Moon makes its entrance into fiery, fixed Leo Wednesday evening where it will be sextile the Gemini Sun and Uranus in Gemini. Spontaneous parties may occur and some folks might be out and about looking for fun. Drama and glittering action can abound. Around midnight, the Leo Moon will square a grumpy Mars in Taurus, and this could put an end to celebrations.

Thursday starts off with a predawn trine between the Leo Moon and Neptune in Aries, and some may wake up with creative solutions to issues they slept on. Right around daybreak, the Leo Moon makes its monthly opposition to Pluto in Aquarius which makes finding common ground a critical component to problem solving. The atmosphere lightens midday when the Leo Moon is sextile versatile Mercury in Gemini which is quite good for chatting with friends and family. Late afternoon, the Leo Moon is trine Saturn in Aries before going void-of-course until very, very late Friday night. A long void-of-course with the Leo Moon should be fine as long as we stick with our usual end of the week routines, though some may be tempted to leave early to make a long weekend of it. Except for a bumpy spot or two, this month’s Leo Moon is very upbeat. It’s a wonderful time to celebrate our unique selves and let our inner light shine forth.

Gemini is naturally prone to abrupt changes in opinion, and spurred on by the ultimate in unpredictable energy, the changes are probably going to come fast and furious. Now Mercury in Gemini sextile stable Saturn in Aries is a real blessing at this point in time. It should be very helpful for sorting out the info overload created the Sun-Uranus conjunction in Gemini. The sky continues to be on the busy side when the Moon slips home into Cancer Monday evening. It will immediately conjoin Venus in Cancer, and make a sextile to Mars in Taurus, giving us a nice, big hug of nurturing energy. This is a marked contrast to the mental edginess of Gemini we experienced over the past couple of days.

Shortly after midnight Monday night, the Cancer Moon makes its monthly square to Neptune in Aries and reality may check out temporarily. Said reality could return with teeth when the Cancer Moon squares Saturn in Aries midday on Tuesday. This might serve as a reminder we do need to pay attention to the world around us rather than living in our heads.

Wednesday morning, the Cancer Moon conjoins Jupiter in Cancer before going void-of-course all day. By the way, anyone who has a chance to go out and look at the evening sky about an hour after sunset Monday through Wednesday, will be treated to the Moon, Venus and Jupiter dancing together in the sky. Weather permitting, it will be a beautiful sight!

There are four astro-events during the Moon’s stay in Cancer. Monday, Mercury in Gemini is sextile Neptune in Aries and Venus in Cancer is sextile Mars in Taurus. Tuesday, Mercury in Gemini is trine Pluto in Aquarius, and on Wednesday the Sun enters Gemini. All are favorable for a change.

Writers of all types should get a big creative boost when Mercury in Gemini is sextile Neptune in Aries. The Gemini Sun conjoins Uranus in Gemini on May 22, and that will probably put a big twist on everything that happens when the Sun is in Gemini. Unanticipated events and shifts in our thinking are likely to happen, and catch us by surprise. The Gemini Sun really doesn’t face any serious opposition this year, and if we’re willing to be open to new ideas, Gemini season could be quite enjoyable. Those who love the mutable dance can have fun, and others can sit back and watch the show.
