OverDrive Media Console app requires signing in with an Adobe ID after an app update on iOS

When you update the OverDrive Media Console (OMC) app on your device, it may de-authorize the app. (When you first set up the app to download ebooks, you created and entered an Adobe ID, which "authorized" the app. This is required to download ebooks to the app.)

When you update the app, this Adobe authorization will be removed. According to OverDrive, this is due to a change in Apple's privacy policies.

Error message when transferring a WMA audiobook to an Apple device: "License does not support transfer to Apple devices"

If you are trying to transfer a WMA audiobook from your Windows computer to an Apple device, you may get this error message: License does not support transfer to Apple devices.

According to OverDrive, the software company that powers the Library2Go service, not all Android devices' stock browsers are able to handle the features of the Library2Go website. The solution is to install a different browser and tell the OverDrive app to use that browser instead.

If you don't find a title that you are looking for in Library2Go, you can request that it be added to Library2Go, as long as it is possible for us to purchase the title. Here is how to request a title for Library2Go:

1. Log in to your Library2Go account (you need to be logged in to make a suggestion)

2. Click on Advanced Search

3. Search for the item you are interested in, and at the bottom of the screen, choose "Additional titles to recommend."

When I log in to check out a hold, I don't see it in my account

Has this happened to you? You get an email that a hold is available for you, but when you log in to your Library2Go account and click on My Holds, you don't see the title listed there.

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Updating the email address in your Library2Go account

Your email address is only stored in your Library2Go account each time you place a hold. If you change your email address after you've placed some holds, you'll need to go back and edit those holds to make sure you receive the notification.

To do this, log into your Library2Go account and click on Holds. You can see the email address for your holds. Click on the Edit button if you need to make a change.

Lists in your account & tracking your reading history

While Library2Go does not track all the titles you check out in your account, you can use lists in your account to keep track yourself.

To view view the lists in your account, log in and click on Lists.

By default you will see your Wish List, but to view your Rated Titles, click on the drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

Setting default loan periods for your account

To adjust your default lending period by format, log in to your account on the Library2Go website, then click on Settings.

Choose the lending periods you want for each format, and click on Done.

Returning downloaded audiobooks early

WMA formatted titles cannot be returned early once they are downloaded. Audiobooks cannot be renewed. Click here or scroll down for instructions for mobile apps.

Return MP3 audiobooks on your PC (not compatible with Macs)

Open OverDrive Media Console (must be the latest version of the software, upgrade here), highlight the title you want to return, and click the Delete button.

Log in to your Amazon account and click on Manage My Kindle. Click on the Actions... menu to the right of the title you want to return.

All titles in Library2Go can be returned early if you have not downloaded them yet, but you do not have to return titles early if you don't want to. They will expire off your account automatically at the end of the loan period.
