2 अक्टूबर कई कारणों से प्रसिद्ध है। भारत का एक जिम्मेदार नागरिक होने के कारण हमारे लिए यह जानना जरूरी है कि 2 अक्टूबर क्यों जरूरी है ? छात्रों के लिए इन तथ्यों को जानना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हो जाता है।

इस लेख में हम 2 अक्टूबर के महत्व को समझेंगे :

१. महात्मा गांधी की जयंती/गांधी जयंती –

हम जानते हैं कि 2 अक्टूबर राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी की जयंती है। जिन्होंने अंग्रेजों से भारत की आजादी की लड़ाई में अहम भूमिका निभाई। बापू को उनके अहिंसा के दर्शन और समानता, न्याय और अधिकारों की वकालत के लिए जाना जाता है। गांधी के सिद्धांत विश्व में शांति और सामाजिक न्याय को प्रेरित करते हैं।

१. अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अहिंसा दिवस:

महात्मा गांधी के दर्शन और विचारधारा और वैश्विक अहिंसक आंदोलनों में उनके सर्वोच्च योगदान का सम्मान करने के लिए, संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 2 अक्टूबर को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अहिंसा दिवस के रूप में घोषित किया।

2 अक्टूबर 2007 को संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने इस दिन को विश्व स्तर पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अहिंसा दिवस के रूप में मनाना शुरू किया।

1. लाल बहादुर शास्त्री की जयंती:

लाल बहादुर शास्त्री का जन्म 2 अक्टूबर 1904 को हुआ था। वह भारत के दूसरे प्रधान मंत्री (1964-66) थे। वह अपनी सादगी, सत्यनिष्ठा और मानव जाति के प्रति समर्पण के लिए जाने जाते थे।

प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान, 1965 के भारत-पाक युद्ध जैसी कई महत्वपूर्ण घटनाएं हुईं। उन्होंने प्रसिद्ध नारा "जय जवान जय किसान" भी दिया।

India celebrates National Sports Day on 29 August every year. It is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. Hockey is the national game of our country.

Major Dhyan Chand is considered as the wizard (magician) of hockey in India. Hence, our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Announced in 2012 to celebrate the 29th of August as a national sports Day every year to commemorate the 107th birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. In 2023 we are going to celebrate the 12th anniversary of National Sports Day in our country.

The main motive to celebrate this day is to motivate the young children of our country to maximum participate in sports. Not only for the future perspective but also to remain fit in their life.

On this day every school college educational institution will celebrate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, They conduct many activities like games and sports tournaments, Exhibitions, drawing and painting competitions, quizzes, etc. Again all these activities are to be performed to inculcate the young ones about the importance of the day so that they can understand something from the great players of our country.

Now we will see some important facts about Major Dhyanchand –

He was born on 29 August 1905 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
He was fond of playing hockey. He played several district, state, and national-level games.
He won gold medals in the Olympics in the years 1928, 1932, and 1936.
He was known for his control over the ball dribbling hence he was called the wizard or the magician of this game.
He played 185 matches and did more than 400 goals in his career and gave victory to India in various important matches.
He was awarded with Padma Shri in the year 1956.

धनपत राय श्रीवास्तव ( ३१ जुलाई १८८० – ८अक्टूबर १९३६ जो प्रेमचंद नाम से जाने जाते हैं, वो हिन्दी और उर्दू के सर्वाधिक लोकप्रिय उपन्यासकार, कहानीकार एवं विचारक थे। उन्होंने सेवासदन, प्रेमाश्रम, रंगभूमि, निर्मला, गबन, कर्मभूमि, गोदान आदि लगभग डेढ़ दर्जन उपन्यास तथा कफन, पूस की रात, पंच परमेश्वर, बड़े घर की बेटी, बूढ़ी काकी, दो बैलों की कथा आदि तीन सौ से अधिक कहानियाँ लिखीं। उनमें से अधिकांश हिन्दी तथा उर्दू दोनों भाषाओं में प्रकाशित हुईं। उन्होंने अपने दौर की सभी प्रमुख उर्दू और हिन्दी पत्रिकाओं जमाना, सरस्वती, माधुरी, मर्यादा, चाँद, सुधा आदि में लिखा।

उन्होंने हिन्दी समाचार पत्र जागरण तथा साहित्यिक पत्रिका हंस का संपादन और प्रकाशन भी किया। इसके लिए उन्होंने सरस्वती प्रेस खरीदा जो बाद में घाटे में रहा और बन्द करना पड़ा। प्रेमचंद फिल्मों की पटकथा लिखने मुंबई आए और लगभग तीन वर्ष तक रहे। जीवन के अंतिम दिनों तक वे साहित्य सृजन में लगे रहे। महाजनी सभ्यता उनका अंतिम निबन्ध, साहित्य का उद्देश्य अन्तिम व्याख्यान, कफन अन्तिम कहानी, गोदान अन्तिम पूर्ण उपन्यास तथा मंगलसूत्र अन्तिम अपूर्ण उपन्यास माना जाता है।

१९०६ से १०३६ के बीच लिखा गया प्रेमचंद का साहित्य इन तीस वर्षों का सामाजिक सांस्कृतिक दस्तावेज है। इसमें उस दौर के समाजसुधार आन्दोलनों, स्वाधीनता संग्राम तथा प्रगतिवादी आन्दोलनों के सामाजिक प्रभावों का स्पष्ट चित्रण है। उनमें दहेज, अनमेल विवाह, पराधीनता, लगान, छूआछूत, जाति भेद, विधवा विवाह, आधुनिकता, स्त्री-पुरुष समानता, आदि उस दौर की सभी प्रमुख समस्याओं का चित्रण मिलता है। आदर्शोन्मुख यथार्थवाद उनके साहित्य की मुख्य विशेषता है। हिन्दी कहानी तथा उपन्यास के क्षेत्र में १९१८ से १९३६ तक के कालखण्ड को 'प्रेमचंद युग' या 'प्रेमचन्द युग' कहा जाता है।

प्रेमचंद का जन्म 31 जुलाई 1880 को वाराणसी जिले (उत्तर प्रदेश) के लमही गाँव में एक कायस्थ परिवार में हुआ था। उनकी माता का नाम आनन्दी देवी तथा पिता का नाम मुंशी अजायबराय था जो लमही में डाकमुंशी थे। उनका वास्तविक नाम धनपत राय श्रीवास्तव था। प्रेमचंद (प्रेमचन्द) की आरम्भिक शिक्षा फ़ारसी में हुई। प्रेमचंद के माता-पिता के सम्बन्ध में रामविलास शर्मा लिखते हैं कि- "जब वे सात साल के थे, तभी उनकी माता का स्वर्गवास हो गया। जब पन्द्रह वर्ष के हुए तब उनका विवाह कर दिया गया और सोलह वर्ष के होने पर उनके पिता का भी देहान्त हो गया।"मुंशी प्रेमचंद अपने शादी के फैसले पर पिता के बारे में लिखते हैं की “पिताजी ने जीवन के अंतिम वर्षों में एक ठोकर खाई और स्वंय तो गिरे ही, साथ में मुझे भी डुबो दिया और मेरी शादी बिना सोचे समझे करा दिया|

मुंशी प्रेमचंद द्वारा लिखित 10 प्रसिद्ध पुस्तकें

प्रेमचंद (प्रेमचन्द) के साहित्यिक जीवन का आरंभ (आरम्भ) 1901 से हो चुका था आरंभ (आरम्भ) में वे नवाब राय के नाम से उर्दू में लिखते थे। प्रेमचंद की पहली रचना के संबंध में रामविलास शर्मा लिखते हैं कि-"प्रेमचंद की पहली रचना, जो अप्रकाशित ही रही, शायद उनका वह नाटक था जो उन्होंने अपने मामा जी के प्रेम और उस प्रेम के फलस्वरूप चमारों द्वारा उनकी पिटाई पर लिखा था। इसका जिक्र उन्होंने ‘पहली रचना’ नाम के अपने लेख में किया है।" उनका पहला उपलब्‍ध लेखन उर्दू उपन्यास 'असरारे मआबिद' है जो धारावाहिक रूप में प्रकाशित हुआ। इसका हिंदी रूपांतरण देवस्थान रहस्य नाम से हुआ। प्रेमचंद का दूसरा उपन्‍यास 'हमखुर्मा व हमसवाब' है जिसका हिंदी रूपांतरण 'प्रेमा' नाम से १९०७ में प्रकाशित हुआ। १९०८ ई. में उनका पहला कहानी संग्रह सोज़े-वतन प्रकाशित हुआ। देशभक्ति की भावना से ओतप्रोत इस संग्रह को अंग्रेज़ सरकार ने प्रतिबंधित कर दिया और इसकी सभी प्रतियाँ जब्त कर लीं और इसके लेखक नवाब राय को भविष्‍य में लेखन न करने की चेतावनी दी। इसके कारण उन्हें नाम बदलकर प्रेमचंद के नाम से लिखना पड़ा। उनका यह नाम दयानारायन निगम ने रखा था। 'प्रेमचंद' नाम से उनकी पहली कहानी बड़े घर की बेटी ज़माना पत्रिका के दिसम्बर १९१० के अंक में प्रकाशित हुई।

P N Panicker, the father of Library and Literacy Movement in Kerala is an eminent personality,
who was the pillar behind the socio- cultural rebirth in Kerala. P N Panicker Foundation, the mother organization of P N Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra was established during the Sathabhishek year under the Chairmanship of Justice V R Krishna Iyer to spearhead developmental issues focusing on inclusive growth in tune with the technological advancement

Honouring the father of the ‘Library Movement in Kerala’, the late P.N.Panicker, since 1996, the State Government has been celebrating 19^th June as the Day of Reading and following week as the Reading Week.

The initiative commenced in collaboration with P.N.Panicker Foundation, transformed into a mass movement, paving the way for the launch of Reading Mission 2022, various activities of this mission, to be implemented in School, libraries and academic institutions.

In light of the above, Kendriya Vidyalaya NPGC, Nabinagar (Library Dept.) is also going to conduct the following activity to implement the Reading Day 2021.

पर्यावरण के प्रति लोगों में जागरूकता फैलाने और पर्यावरण को सुरक्षित रखने के उद्देश्य से हर साल 5 जून को विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस (World Environment Day) यानी वर्ल्ड एनवायरनमेंट डे मनाया जाता है. इस दिन लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए कई तरह के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जाते हैं. इन कार्यक्रमों के ज़रिये लोगों को पेड़-पौधे लगाने, पेड़ों को संरक्षित करने, हरे पेड़ न काटने, नदियों को साफ़ रखने और प्रकृति से खिलवाड़ न करने जैसी चीजों के लिए जागरुक किया जाता है.

वैसे तो विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस वर्ष 1972 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा मनाया गया था लेकिन विश्व स्तर पर इसके मनाने की शुरुआत 5 जून 1974 को स्वीडन की राजधानी स्टॉकहोम में हुई थी. जहां इस दिन पर्यावरण सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया था और इसमें 119 देशों ने भाग लिया था.इस सम्मेलन में संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण कार्यक्रम का गठन किया गया था साथ ही प्रति वर्ष 5 जून को पर्यावरण दिवस मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया था. ये सम्मेलन 5 जून से 16 जून तक आयोजित किया गया था. इस दिन के लिए स्लोगन रखा गया था "केवल एक पृथ्वी" ("ONLY ONE EARTH").

वर्ष 2021 की थीम

हर वर्ष विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के लिए एक थीम निर्धारित की जाती है. इस बार इस दिन को मनाने के लिए वर्ष 2021 की थीम "पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र बहाली" (Ecosystem Restoration) निर्धारित की गयी है. इस दिन आयोजित होने वाले कार्यक्रम इसी थीम पर आधारित होंगे. पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र की बहाली पर पेड़-पौधे लगाना, बागों को तैयार करना और उनको संरक्षित करना, नदियों की सफाई करना जैसे कई तरीकों से काम किया जा सकता है. वर्ष 2020 के लिए विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस की थीम "जैव विविधता" (Biodiversity) वर्ष 2019 में "वायु प्रदूषण" ("Air Pollution") और उस से पहले वर्ष 2018 में इसकी थीम “बीट प्लास्टिक पोल्यूशन” ("Beat Plastic Pollution") रखी गयी थी.

इस बार विश्‍व पर्यावरण दिवस ऐसे समय में आया है, जब‍ पूरी दुनिया कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण से जूझ रही है। इस साल विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस का मेजबान पाकिस्तान होगा। इससे संबंधित कार्यक्रम में 'ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION पर संयुक्‍त राष्‍ट्र का एक दशक' भी लॉन्‍च किया जाएगा।

पर्यावरण का रखे ध्यान, तभी बनेगा देश महान।

रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर का जन्म बगाल के एक समृद्ध परिवार में हुआ । बचपन में शिक्षा के लिए उन्हें किसी स्कूल में नहीं भेजा गया ।

कोलकाता में घर पर ही उनकी शिक्षा का प्रबन्ध किया गया । एक विद्वान् शिक्षक उन्हे पढ़ाने आते थे । वे पढ़ाई में अधिक रुचि नहीं रखते थे । हार कर उन्हें स्कूल में भी भरती कराया गया, लेकिन वहाँ भी वे मन लगाकर नहीं पढ़े ।

वे किताबें पढ़ना बिल्कुल पसन्द नहीं करते थे । लेकिन ड्रामा, संगीत, कविता तथा कलाओ में उनकी गहरी रुचि थी । सोलह वर्ष की आयु से ही वे कविताये और कहानियां लिखने लगे थे । उनकी रचनायें बडी रुचि से पढी जाती थीं ।

आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए उनके पिता ने उन्हें इंग्लैण्ड भेज दिया । लदन में वे यूनिवर्सिटी कॉलेज में भरती हो गए । वही वे कुछ समय तक पढ़े, लेकिन बिना किसी परीक्षा को पास किए ही भारत लौट आए । उन्होंने कोई डिग्री परीक्षा कभी पास नहीं की ।

अब तक वे प्रसिद्ध कवि हो गए थे । उन्होंने अनेक ड्रामा, उपन्यास, कहानियाँ और कवितायें लिखीं । धीरे-धीरे बंगाल के महानतम कवियों में उनकी गिनती होने लगी । उनका महानतम और सबसे प्रसिद्ध काव्य ‘गीतांजलि’ है । उन्होंने मूल रूप में गीतांजलि की रचना बंगाली भाषा में की और बाद में रचय ही उसका अंग्रेजी मे अनुवाद किया । उनकी कविताओं का देश और विदेश की अनेक भाषाओं में अनुवाद हुआ । इनकी बदौलत वे समूचे ससार में प्रसिद्ध हो गए ।

रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर को साहित्य के नोबल पुरस्वगर से सम्मानित किया गया । वे पहले भारतीय थे, जिन्हें नोबल पुरस्कार मिला । इस पुरस्कार ने उनकी ख्याति में चार-चाँद लगा दिए । कलकत्ता विश्वविद्यालय ने उन्हें ‘डॉक्टर ऑफ लेटर्स’ की उपाधि प्रदान करके सम्मानित किया । तत्कालीन भारत सरकार ने उन्हें ‘सर’ की उपाधि से विभूषित किया ।

अब उन्होंने यूरोप, अमरीका, चीन और जापान का भ्रमण किया । वे जहाँ भी जाते, उनका भव्य स्वागत होता था । लोग उनके ज्ञान की भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करते थे । उनकी असाधारण साहित्यिक प्रतिभा तथा प्रभावशाली भाषणों का बड़ा सम्मान किया जाता था ।

1901 ई॰ में बोलपुर नामक एक छोटे-से गाँव में उन्होंने एक स्कूल की स्थापना की । उन्होंने इसे ‘शांतिनिकेतन’ नाम दिया । यह स्कूल विश्वभर में प्रसिद्ध हो गया । इसकी कोई विशाल इमारत नहीं है । यह स्कूल खुले मैदान में लगता है । विद्यार्थी प्रकृति की गोद में विद्या प्राप्त करते हैं ।

संसार के सभी भागों से लोग यहां शिक्षा प्राप्त करने आते है । उन्हे इस स्कूल में पढ़ना, लिखना, कला, संगीत, नाच और गाना सिखाया जाता है । हमारी भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री श्रीमती इन्दिरा गाँधी ने भी कुछ समय यही शिक्षा पाई थी ।

बिना छत का यह स्कूल संसार में अनूठा है । जब तक यह संस्था जीवित है, तब तक इस महान् कवि, लेखक और दार्शनिक का नाम अमर रहेगा ।

रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर बड़े प्रतिभावान थे । वे एक सच्चे महात्मा थे और वैसे ही वे दिखाई भी देते थे । वे लम्बे-लम्बे बाल रखते थे और उनकी लम्बी दाढी थी । उनके बहुत-से शिष्य थे, जो उन्हें बडी श्रद्धा से गुरुदेव कहते थे ।

वे महान् कवि और समाज-सुधारक थे । उन्होंने भारत का गौरव बढाया । भारत को ऐसे विद्वान् पर सदा गर्व रहेगा । हम इतने महान् विद्वान्, कवि, लेखक और दार्शनिक को कभी न भुला पायेंगे ।

Ganga Quest is a competitive knowledge-building platform, an awareness initiative and scientific baseline determination exercise to assess the knowledge gaps and attitude orientation about Ganga and Rivers.

GANGA QUEST 2021

Ganga Quest is an international bilingual (Hindi and English) online quiz on Ganga being organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), an authority under Government of India which implements ‘Namami Gange’ programme and TREE Craze Foundation (TCF), a not for profit organization committed to Ganga, Rivers, and Environment.

Apart from engaging and creating awareness and knowledge among participants, Ganga Quest initiative aims at analyzing and evaluating the nature of participation and status of awareness among the participants. The targeted objectives are; Knowledge Building, Awareness Creation, Attitude Orientation, Knowledge Gap Assessment, and Baseline Determination. Its ultimate aim is to increase the public participation for ‘Namami Gange’ programme and to enhance ownership of children and youth for rivers and Ganga.

Anyone above 10 years of age can participate in the quiz!

Rules :

Anyone of age 10 years or above is eligible to participate in Ganga Quest.

Ganga Quest 2021 is a global quiz and therefore open to everyone irrespective of their nationality.
Participants willing to participate in Ganga Quest should register in the website with a valid ID, such as students admission no. or school id for school students or Aadhar Card for school passouts. However, if Aadhar Card is not available, participant can enter any other valid ID details.
Valid ID includes passport, birth certificate, and school ID.
Mass registration is available for schools/universities/institutions/organisations.
Students from school should mention the correct details of their schools. If the details of the schools are found incorrect, then they may get disqualified as the verification process will not be complete.
Since the quiz is online, participants must ensure accessibility to computer and Internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 512 Kbps.
Anyone who has graduated from school must take care in providing correct personal details to ensure validation.
Name of top 3 scorers in four categories will be published on TREE Craze Foundation and NMCG website after verification of details.
In case of entering any incorrect detail and multiple registrations, the participant runs into the risk of disqualification and hence should be avoided.
Only one prize can be claimed per individual. In case of the same person winning more than one prizes, he would be awarded with the prize with higher value.

विश्व पुस्तक दिवस 2021 पूरी दुनिया भर में 23 अप्रैल, शुक्रवार को मनाया जायेगा। उच्च उद्देशीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग तथा विकास की भावना से प्रेरित 193 सदस्य देश तथा 6 सहयोगी सदस्यों की संस्था यूनेस्को द्वारा विश्व पुस्तक तथा स्वामित्व (कॉपीराइट) दिवस का औपचारिक शुभारंभ 23 अप्रैल 1995 को हुआ था। इसकी नींव तो 1923 में स्पेन में पुस्तक विक्रेताओं द्वारा प्रसिद्ध लेखक मीगुयेल डी सरवेन्टीस को सम्मानित करने हेतु आयोजन के समय ही रख दी गई थी। उनका देहांत भी 23 अप्रैल को ही हुआ था।

विश्व पुस्तक दिवस क्या है

23 अप्रैल को पूरे विश्व के लोगों के द्वारा हर वर्ष मनाया जाने वाला विश्व पुस्तक दिवस एक वार्षिक कार्यक्रम है। पढ़ना, प्रकाशन और प्रकाशनाधिकार को पूरी दुनिया में लोगों के बीच बढ़ावा देने के लिये यूनेस्को द्वारा सालाना आयोजित ये बहुत ही महत्वपूर्णं कार्यक्रम है। 23 अप्रैल को इसे मनाने के बजाय, यूनाईटेड किंग्डम में मार्च के पहले गुरुवार को इसे मनाया जाता है। 23 अप्रैल 1995 में पहली बार यूनेस्को द्वारा विश्व पुस्तक दिवस की शुरुआत की गयी।

आमतौर पर, इसे लेखक, चित्रकार के द्वारा आम लोगों के बीच में पढ़ने को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिये मनाया जाता है। किताबों को और पढ़ने के लिये ये विश्व स्तर का उत्सव है और 100 से ज्यादा देशों में मनाया जाता है।

विश्व पुस्तक दिवस का इतिहास

पूरे विश्व में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर वार्षिक आधार पर विश्व पुस्तक दिवस को मनाने के पीछे बहुत सी कहानियाँ हैं। मीगुएल डी सरवेंटस नाम से सबसे प्रसिद्ध लेखक को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिये स्पेन के विभिन्न किताब बेचने वालों के द्वारा वर्ष 1923 में पहली बार 23 अप्रैल की तारीख अर्थात् विश्व पुस्तक दिवस और किताबों के बीच संबंध स्थापित हुआ था। ये दिन मीगुएल डी सरवेंटस की पुण्यतिथि है।

विश्व पुस्तक दिवस और प्रकाशनाधिकार दिवस को मनाने के लिये यूनेस्को द्वारा 1995 में पहली बार विश्व पुस्तक दिवस की सटीक तारीख की स्थापना हुयी थी। यूनेस्को के द्वारा इसे 23 अप्रैल को मनाने का फैसला किया गया था क्योंकि, ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर के अनुसार, विलियम शेक्सपियर, व्लादिमीर नबोकोव, मैमुएल सेजिया वैलेजो का जन्म और मृत्यु वर्षगाँठ, मीगुअल डी सरवेंटस (22 अप्रैल को मृत्यु और 23 अप्रैल को दफनाए गये), जोसेफ प्ला, इंका गारसीलासो डी ला वेगा का मृत्यु वर्षगाँठ और मैनुअल वैलेजो, मॉरिस द्रुओन और हॉलडोर लैक्सनेस का जन्म वर्षगाँठ होता है।

विश्व पुस्तक दिवस कैसे मनाया जाता है

बाजार या प्रसिद्ध किताब की दुकानों से कुछ मजाकिया और रोचक किताबों को खरीदने और पढ़ने के द्वारा विश्व पुस्तक दिवस को मनाने में कोई भी शामिल हो सकता है जहाँ सभी पसंसदीदा किताब ब्रैंड, चरित्र या लेखक पर आधारित होती है। लेखकों और दूसरी महत्वपूर्णं बातों के बारे में जानने के लिये उनमें जिज्ञासा उत्पन्न करने के साथ ही पढ़ने की आदत के लिये बच्चों को पास लाने में विश्व पुस्तक दिवस एक बड़ी भूमिका अदा करता है।

बच्चों के बीच पढ़ने की आदत को आसानी से बढ़ावा देना, कॉपीराइट का प्रयोग कर बौद्धिक संपत्ति का प्रकाशन और सुरक्षित रखने के लिये यूनेस्को द्वारा पूरे विश्व भर में इसे मनाने की शुरुआत हुयी। विश्व साहित्य के लिये 23 अप्रैल एक महत्वपूर्ण तारीख है क्योंकि 23 अप्रैल 1616 कई महान हस्तियों की मृत्यु वर्षगाँठ थी।

किताबों और लेखकों को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिये पूरे विश्व भर के लोगों का ध्यान खींचने के लिये यूनेस्को द्वारा इस तारीख की घोषणा की गयी। लोगों और देश की सामाजिक और सांस्कृतिक विकास की ओर अपने विशेष योगदानों के लिये नये विचारों को उत्पन्न करने के साथ ही किताबों के बीच असली खुशी और ज्ञान की खोज करने तथा किताबें पढ़ने के लिये ये आम लोगों खासतौर से युवाओं को प्रोत्साहित करता है। ग्राहक को हर एक किताब पर एक गुलाब देने से वो किताबें पढ़ने के लिये प्रोत्साहित होंगे और सम्मानित महसूस करेंगे।

शिक्षकों, लेखकों, प्रकाशकों, लाइब्रेरियन, सभी निजी और सरकारी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, एनजीओ, कार्यरत लोगों का समूह, मास मीडिया आदि के द्वारा खासतौर से विश्व पुस्तक और कॉपीराइट दिवस मनाया जाता है। यूनेस्को राष्ट्रीय परिषद, यूनेस्को क्लब, केन्द्रीय संस्थान, लाइब्रेरी, स्कूल और दूसरे शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के द्वारा अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विभिन्न प्रकार के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जाते हैं।

प्रसिद्ध लेखकों के द्वारा लिखी गयी नवीनतम किताबों के संग्रह को प्राप्त करने के लिये लाइब्रेरी की सदस्यता के लिये कार्यरत समूह के लोग प्रोत्साहन देते हैं। विभिन्न क्रिया-कलाप जैसे दृश्यात्मक कला, नाटक, कार्यशाला कार्यक्रम आदि लोगों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिये अधिक सहायक हो सकता है।

विश्व पुस्तक दिवस का महत्व

आम सभा में यूनेस्को के द्वारा विश्व पुस्तक दिवस उत्सव की तारीख को निश्चित किया गया जो 1995 में पेरिस में रखा गया था। लगभग 100 देशों से अधिक इच्छुक लोग ऐच्छिक संगठनों, विश्वविद्यालयों स्कूलों, सरकारी या पेशेवर समूहों, निजी व्यापार आदि से जुड़ें। विश्व पुस्तक और कॉपीरइट दिवस उत्सव विश्व भर के सभी महाद्वीपों और सांस्कृतिक पृष्ठभूमि से लोगों को आकर्षित करता है। ये लोगों को नये विचार को खोजने और अपने ज्ञान को फैलाने में सक्षम बनाता है। किताबें विरासत का ख़जाना, संस्कृति, ज्ञान की खिड़की, संवाद के लिये यंत्र, संपन्नता का स्रोत आदि हैं।

विश्व पुस्तक और कॉपीराइट दिवस उत्सव ने विभिन्न देशों से ढ़ेर सारे पेशेवर संगठनों को प्रेरित किया है और यूनेस्कों से सहायिकी प्राप्त की है। दूसरे लोगों तक विभिन्न प्रकार की संस्कृति को फैलाने के साथ ही उनको साथ लाने के लिये लोगों के बीच किताबों की शक्ति को प्रचारित करने के लिये हर साल यूनेस्कों का विश्वव्यापी सदस्य राज्य इस कार्यक्रम को मनाता है। सुविधा से वंचित भाग में रहने वाले लोगों के साथ ही युवा लोगों के बीच शिक्षा को प्रचारित करने के लिये ये दिन मनाया जाता है।

इस दिन, उपन्यास, लघु कहानियाँ या शांति फैलाने वाला चित्र किताब, उदारता, दूसरी संस्कृति और परंपरा के लिये एक-दूसरे के बीच समझदारी और सम्मान के लिये बच्चों सहित कुछ युवा अपने बेहतरीन कार्यों के लिये पुरस्कृत किये जाते हैं। वर्ष के खास विषय पर आधारित एक अलग पोस्टर हर साल डिजाइन किया जाता है और पूरी दुनिया में लोगों के बीच वितरित किया जाता है। पोस्टर इस तरह से डिजाइन किये जाते हैं जिससे लोगों और बच्चों को और किताबें पढ़ने के लिये बढ़ावा दिया जा सके।

1. Bhimrao Ambedkar took birth in a Dalit family on 14th April 1891 to Ramji Maloji Sakpal and Bhimabai. He was from a small Mhow village in Madhya Pradesh. He was a sincere student during his school days. Though he was an excellent student, he faced discrimination at every stage of his life. He completed his higher education from Bombay University, Columbia University, USA, and London School of Economics.

2. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar is fondly remembered as Babasaheb because he worked for the Untouchables or Dalits’ welfare. He is called the father of the Indian Constitution since he drafted the Indian Constitution in India’s national language for the first time.

3. Since his parents were Dalits, he was not given equal opportunities. During his growing years, he encountered many challenges and social discrimination. Teachers and other students treated Bhimrao Ambedkar with inferiority. Yet, he was not discouraged. He was exceptional in studies. He enrolled himself at Bombay University. He further pursued his Ph.D. in economics and political science from Columbia University, USA. After returning from the United States, he led the committee to draft the constitution of India. He held the post of the first law minister after independence of India.

4. Whenever we think of our Indian Constitution, we remember our B. R. Ambedkar. Thus, he is popularly known as the father of the Indian Constitution. However, his fellow countryman fondly called him Babasaheb because he was like a father figure to them. He fought for the fundamental rights of the lower castes and established their upliftment. He promoted education and struggled to seek equality for the Untouchables to enter temples. He also advocated eradicating gender inequality. He was conferred with Bharat Ratna in 1990 for his contributions. Before his death, he began following Buddhism.

5. When Bhimrao Ambedkar was born to a poor Dalit father Ramji Maloji Sakpal and mother Bhimabai in a small Mhow village of Madhya Pradesh, nobody knew that he would grow up to be a great leader. Every year, his birth date, 14th April 1891, is celebrated as Ambedkar Jayanti in India. Though he hailed from a socially backward class and faced discrimination at every stage of his life, it never stopped him from becoming one of the greatest scholars of all time. Moreover, his childhood was a series of struggles to fight prejudice for being Untouchables or Dalits. His teachers and the other upper caste students would not allow Ambedkar to sit near them. He was not allowed to touch the earthen pot to drink water. Yet, he was not discouraged and continued to excel in academics. After attaining his degree from the Elphinstone College, Bombay, he obtained his postgraduate degree from the London School of Economics. He further continued his doctorate in political science and economics from the University of Columbia, USA.

He was a social activist, economist, reformer, and politician. He held the post of the first law minister of our Independent India. He was recognized as one of the greatest scholars and was invited to lead the committee to draft the Indian constitution. He wanted to bring about dynamic social reforms in India. He lent his voice to the suppressed and backward community. He was determined to eradicate the caste system, promote education, and uplift the Untouchables. He was the founder of the Independent Labour Party and the Scheduled Caste Federation. He also contributed to the Finance Commission of India and Reserve Bank of India. In 1956, he became a Buddhist follower. 6th December is mourned as his death anniversary. In 1990, he was conferred with Bharat Ratna for his contribution to India.

National Youth Day is celebrated in India every year on the birthday of the Swami Vivekanand. It is celebrated every year on the 12th January. In 1984, it was declared by the Government of India that 12th January will be observed as National Youth Dayand since 1985, India celebrates the day.

The intention behind the government's move to celebrate this day was to imbibe the students and youth with the philosophy and ideals of the Swami Vivekananda, who brought a change in the thought process of the youth.

Swami Vivekananda ji’s original name was Narendranath. He was born on 12th January, 1863 at Kolkata (Swamiji’s Jayanti i.e. birth anniversary is celebrated as the ‘National Youth Day’). Right from childhood, two aspects of his behavior could clearly be noticed. One was his sincere and compassionate nature and the other was his readiness to perform any act of courage. Since his whole family was spiritually inclined, he received an appropriate religious upbringing.

He also published a number of books from 1887 until his death on July 4th, 1902. These books include Sangeet Kalpataru, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Vedanta Philosophy: An Address before the Graduate Philosophical Society, Bartaman Bharat, My Master, and Vedânta philosophy: Lectures On Jnana Yoga. Books that were published posthumously include Inspired Talks, Para Bhakti or Supreme Devotion and Speeches and Writings of Swami Vivekananda.

Vijay Diwas is observed in every year on December 16 as a mark of victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war that also led to the creation of Bangladesh.

History

The 1971 Indo-Pak war lasted for almost 13 days and ended on December 16. Pakistan's Army General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi surrendered before the Indian Army and Mukti-Bahini leading to the creation of a new state in India's east called Bangladesh. Gen. Niazi surrendered along with his 93,000 Pakistani troops. Bangladesh also celebrates its Independence Day (Bijoy Diwas) on December 16 annually. Since then, the day is observed as Vijay Diwas.

Importance

On this day, the nation pays tribute to brave soldiers of India and Bangladesh who laid down their lives in the line of duty and those who took part in the Liberation War.

The 'liberation war' in the then East Pakistan was initiated after Pakistan ill-treated its Bengali speaking population and undermined elections results in the region. The then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had expressed India's full support for the liberation war in Bangladesh.

The then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, extended her full support to the liberation struggle of (East Pakistan) Bangladesh that helped it to become a free nation.

The 1971 Indo-Pak war lasted for almost 13 days and ended on December 16. On this day, the nation pays tribute to brave soldiers of India and Bangladesh who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

According to reports, there were reports of a massacre of Bengali especially Hindus by the Pakistan army. At least 10 million people were forced to migrate to India during the war. Other reports also suggested that the iconic Taj Mahal was camouflaged by leaves during the war to save it from any Pakistani attacks.

'Swarnim Vijay Varsh'

This year also completes 50 years of India’s victory over Pakistan. The government is organising 'Swarnim Vijay Varsh' programme where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and defence minister Rajnath Singh will also mark their presence. The event will be organised at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

Every year we celebrate the Foundation Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on 15th December with great enthusiasm. Our organization has a glorious past, a very dynamic and vibrant present and a promising future. The past teaches us great lessons for an even more illustrious future. The Present is an indispensable link between past and future. The quality of efforts and degree of commitment during this important stage will decide where we will stand in future.

During this glorious journey of 57 years of service to society, KVS has always set new benchmarks in the field of school education and has performed well in its role as a pace setting organization. From a very humble beginning of 20 regimental schools, today we have more than 1225 schools dedicated to service of the nation. On this important day, we salute all those members of this great Parivar who have contributed to its rich legacy.
So, let us all celebrate 57th KVS FOUNDATION DAY ON 15.12.2020 with full energy and in an affectionate manner.

This activity aims to engage, excite and enable citizens to motivate them towards fitness and raise awareness about fitness through an interactive learning process.

Kendriya Vidyalaya NPGC Nabinagar is conducting various virtual activities under the FIT India’s School Week Celebration 2020. This week is observed from 07/12/2020 to 14/12/2020. Free hand exercise, Common Yoga Protocols, Brain games, Poster making, Debates, Essay/Poem writing Competitions, online quiz etc., are the virtual activities planned to conduct in this week.

An online Fit India: Quiz is going to conduct by the KV NPGC Nabinagar. The Fit India Quiz contains multiple choice questions based on the fitness, health, indigenous games and nutrition. These questions are designed to motivate citizens to to get fit by leaning about various matters related to health such as what kind of activities help in gaining fitness, what kind of diets help in remaining fit, and what kind of indigenous sports are played in our country. Through this fun and interactive quiz, participants would have the opportunity to not only test their knowledge about fitness and also get motivated in getting fit.

The overall objective of the Fit India Quiz is to bring about physical and mental change among citizens to adopt healthy lifestyle through the Library Kendriya Vidyalaya platform.

Constitution Day also known as 'Samvidhan Divas', is celebrated in our country on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on 19th November 2015 notified the decision of Government of India to celebrate the 26th day of November every year as 'Constitution Day' to promote Constitution values among citizens.

Kendriya Vidyalaya NPGC Nabinagar is celebrating the day with all their stakeholders.
