We wanted to significantly improve the quality of our music offering in a way that aligns with the way our customers download music -- as part of a broader mix of images, videos and audio.
By partnering with the market-leading Epidemic Sound, we can continue to provide our customers the best possible royalty-free music and sound effects through our Premium Access plans that let you download whatever file type you need with a single plan and payment.
As an existing Getty Images Music customer, how can I access music?
Your access will be seamless if you have a Premium Access plan that includes music:
1. Sign in
2. Select Music from the navigation to continue to our new partner site
3. Download audio clips and music against your existing agreement
If you don't already have a Premium Access plan with access to music, contact us to add music to your existing Premium Access plan or discuss a plan that will work for you.
Can I continue to license single music tracks a la carte?
You will no longer be able to license individual tracks on a one-off basis. Going forward, music will only be available with our Premium Access plans.
How can I check out the new Getty Images Music catalog?
If you've got a Premium Access plan that includes music, simply sign in with your account to proceed to our new partner site. Your agreement gives you access to every sound effect and music track available from Epidemic Sound.
If you don't yet have a Premium Access plan with music, you can check out some of the latest tracks available on Epidemic Sound to get a feel for it.
Can I view the new Getty Images Music partner site in my local language?
Unfortunately, Epidemic Sound is currently only available in English.
Will my contacts for Getty Images Music change?
Nope, you'll continue to receive the same sales & service support as today.
Is my data secure?
As our music partner, Epidemic is acting as our data sub processor in order to bring you this great service. While we will still be securely storing and processing your personal data, we will be sharing very minimal personal data with them (Getty Images customer ID and first name only). Nonetheless, Getty Images conducted due diligence to evaluate Epidemic's privacy, security and confidentiality practices, and executed an agreement implementing its applicable security obligations – which reflect our own commitment to your personal data security. Can I still use Getty Images Music files that I've already licensed?
All Getty Images Music files downloaded prior to June 8, 2020 may continue to be used, subject to your license agreement.
Can I still download audio files from my Getty Images Music playlists or shopping cart?
With Getty Images Music now powered by Epidemic Sound, you will no longer be able to access any of the audio files in the legacy Getty Images Music playlists or shopping cart. If there is a specific track that you need to license, contact a sales representative to see how we can help.
Can I still re-download audio files that I've previously licensed from Getty Images Music?
Unfortunately, once we transition to Epidemic Sound, you will no longer have access to redownload previously licensed tracks from the website. If you need access to a track you had previously licensed, contact a sales representative to see how we can help.
Can I license a music track previously downloaded with my Easy-access agreements?
With Getty Images Music now powered by Epidemic Sound, after June 8, 2020, you will no longer be able to access any of the audio files in the legacy Getty Images Music catalog, even if you previously downloaded them with your Easy-access agreement.
