K-Drama, Anime and Language

Wow! Thank God that this site does not currently have an expiration date. I come here once in awhile. Thanks to Twitter and Facebook, it makes it harder and harder to come and blog. Anyways, currently, I am into Korean/Japanese Dramas. The average drama is 16 episodes. That's approximately an hour each episode. So far, I have watched at least 10. Since then, the only show I watch on cable tv is True blood. Once the season is over I will cancel premium cable. Since i don't get a penalty in cox like some folks do with satellite for cancelling.

Anime, I am currently seeing Death Note. OMG, talk about suspense. L and Light - awesome, battle of the wits. I am still strong with Twitter so follow me if you want to be kept up with the news, book lines, show lines, and positive words. Oh, I almost forgot. I am currently in love with Jang Geun Suk. Ok, he is a little young, umm, I mean a lot younger than me but it's not that kinda love. He just projects so much light and his smile, OMG is the bestest in the world. I found him in one of the Korean Dramas called Your Beautiful and boy can this kid act/sing.

Books: I am currently reading Retribution by my favorite author, Sherrilyn Kenyon. It's about a cowboy named Sundowna, a Dark Hunter and Abigail...I am still trying to figure out what she is...not human that's for sure. I don't like to tell the story because then you will not read it. I only give the names for reference so that I can remember who the book was about.

I am also reading Vampire Knight the manga since I loved the anime.

Oh, and I am learning on my own Japanese to understand my anime and Korean to understand my dramas.

Four months after my last post and I am back. What is new? Well, I am reading the last book of the Sookie Stackhouse series #11 Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris.

Acheron and Jack Sparrow are still my favorite characters. Speaking of Sparrow. This friday is his latest pirate movie. Of course, you can count me in.

Oh, I almost forgot, some person/persons is/are saying that Saturday is the end of the world. Can you believe that people still buy that stuff.

Oh, and osama bin laden dead.

It's almost midnight so I might not even make any sense. I am so tired I need to go to bed.

It has been a while since I've been on this blog. I can say I was busy, reading, watching movies, Anime, even working. But to be honest, it is so hard to keep up with...text, twitter, facebook, emails...etc, etc, etc.

What am I doing lately? Still reading the Anita Blake series. I now subscribe to Netflix and let me tell you that I am a very happy customer. Thanks to Netflix...I am catching up to most of the Anime show. Let's see. The Darker than Black w/ also known as BK 201; Trinity Blood with Abel Nightroad and Blood+ with Hagi.

I am currently watching Tsubasa with Syaoran and Sakura;

Still working thank God.

Still looking forward to my twilight movies. Breaking Dawn.

I am on book #7 of the Anita Blake series and so far I like Jean-Claude. He is of course a vampire.

I am reading the Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series. It's about a Vampire Slayer/Executioner. The series contain at least 17 books. I am on book 5. So, far I like the series. It has vampires, wereanimals, witches and zombies.

Must read!

This is the latest book from Sherrilyn Kenyon. Its bitter sweet since I now have to wait for the next Dark-Hunter Book.

This book is about Dev and Sam. A bear and a Dark-Hunter. I just started the book, therefore, I don't have additional information.

I highly recommend this series. It is very addictive and the author is amazing.

I am a new fiction reader. I started reading with Twilight from Stephenie Meyer and have not stopped ever since. I want to share that new found love with you. I am not the best writer and English was not my best subject. I do however, love to share thoughts, quotes, and information that is good for the soul.

Feel free to correct me in anything I blog.

I usually start from the beginning but today I will start with the book 15 of the Dark-Hunter series Acheron from Sherrilyn Kenyon.

The main character is Acheron and boy do I love Ash. He was born to the goddess of destruction and the god of creation. He was stripped from his powers and was born to a human. Now this might sound familiar but remember this is fiction. It is only a story.

Acheron has a twin brother named Styxx who is not the kindest sibling you can have. He also has a sister God bless her - her name is Ryssa and every time she tries to do something good for her brother it comes back to bite him in the butt.

I don't want to give details so that you can read it as well. The book begins with his past so be patient and don't give up. I am currently on the page where he turns 21. I know something big is going to happen. I got a feeling....

I am back from Las Vegas and am ready to get back on schedule. It was great visiting with family and getting acquainted with new members.

Regarding New Years resolutions...mmm, I actually have none this year.

I will only strive to do the best that I can do and expect nothing.

It has been a while since New Moon..and now I am counting the days for Eclipse but in the meantime.. I am catching up to InuYasha's series. I started episode 1 during Thanksgiving vacation and I am hoping to finish it before the new year.

My Thanksgiving greeting is/was as follows:

I thank God for our services men/women that volunteer to serve our country and proctect our freedom.

New Moon

I saw Twilight and New Moon last night. The first time I saw Twilight I had not read the book. the second time I saw it I had read it twice. It is so much better when you read the book before the movie comes out. You learn to appreciate the characters so much better. I love both movies and I am sure I will love the next two that are out in 2010 and 2011.

I think people cut themselves short by automatically saying that they will not ready or see the series because it deals with Vampires. Mostly for religious purposes.

I believe it deals with unconditional love and that is the magic of the series.

The Human loves the vampire/werewolf without prejudice.

The Vampire loves the human and its humanity.

The Werewolf loves the human and the friend.

Today was a nice day. I met the members of Parents without Partners at the Golden Coral.

Today's subject was about relationships; what happens to us once we are separated by our partners via death or divorce.

I believe that people come into our lives to help us grow. Now the trick is to let go once it's time to move on. I know it is easier said than done. Once I did let go, my life was so much better because I found ME.

I love my life and I thank God every day for his blessings and my ex for leaving.... If I had not LET GO...I would have still been in the same place.

From the luncheon we went to Sam's Club. OMG....Every time we go there we spend more than we should. I don't complain though because what I buy it will last me for next month. Yes, I buy my food monthly, OK the majority of it. The rest of the week I buy the items that were too much to buy in bulk.

We finished of the day by going to Blockbusters to rent "The Big Bang Theory-Season 2"; and to my shocking surprise....they are closing the store. So, we were not able to rent anything..only purchase anything that was left in the isles.

Oh, I almost forgot; we bought a movie called "Martian Child" with John & Joan Cusack..yes, siblings....It is a cute story and yes, I cried at the end. I am a sucker for sad and happy endings...

Lets see what exciting adventure tomorrow will bring. You have two choices in life...choose wisely.

This is my first blog:

I have always been a non-fiction reader. I thought that reading other peoples stories or ideas would influence the way I perceived life. I am now past forty and my daughter forced me to read the young adult fiction book Twilight. OMG....did she start something without end? I loved the series and wanted more. I read all four book and The Host. I was even more glad that the books I have read were going to be turned into movies. So, I will keep a list of books that I have read and tell you a little about them. The conclusion will be buy or not to buy.

I also have a lot of links that I would like to share and I will also include those here.

Movies: Same thing. I will write down the movie and if you should pay to go see it at the Theatre or wait for it on DVD.
