If you've been following me for a while, you know I live with my family in a big house. I like to compare it to the show "Full House" – my parents, some siblings, a niece, a nephew and of course, my little family all live here & I'm the Danny Tanner of the family. On top of everyone who lives here, my brother & sister bring over their friends all the time. You can imagine how many plates and cups we go through in one day! And since everyone works or goes to school with the exception of me, I'm the lucky one who usually gets stuck doing the dishes. When it's just me & my son at home, I hand wash but when everyone's home, the dishwasher is my best friend.

To be honest, I'm not loyal to one specific brand. I like to switch it up from liquid to powder to detergent pacs. The most recent one being an eco-friendly liquid detergent. During my niece's birthday party, my husband asked for another cup because the one I gave him was dirty. I  thought it was weird since I had just washed them & grabbed the cup he was handing me back & I noticed that the cup wasn't dirty, it just looked dirty because it was a bit cloudy. I looked up & looked around the room & noticed that most of the glasses looked that way. Nobody had noticed or at least, they didn't say anything but still, it was a bit embarrassing for me. I decided it was time to stop with just buying any brand detergent.

Powers away stuck on food? Yes please! This is a big problem in our house! Eliminate the need to pre-wash dishes? That would also be helpful in my house. I've had to grab a couple of plates that my nephew puts in the dishwasher & had to rinse them before putting them in again. The party came & went with promises from my siblings that they would get to the plates in the morning. I let them do the dishes the next day & told them to just stick them in the dishwasher without pre-washing them. They looked at me funny but they did what I asked & we used the Cascade Platinum pacs. The dishes came out clean – with absolutely no residue on them! Love, love, love! This was the first time I didn't have to grab a plate or fork and put them back in the dishwasher to wash again because there was still food stuck on them. I'm very happy with this product & the results & highly recommend them!

I was able to review the scented oils – which included 1 warmer & 4 fragrances and the American Samoa candle. I was so happy to know that the scented oils came with 4 different fragrances in the package so I could try out which one I loved the best. I'm currently using the American Samoa scented oil because when I use it with the candle, the room just smells heavenly without being overpowering – which is a good thing because my husband & I are sensitive to overly strong scents. The best part about this Air Wick collection is that it's affordable! I didn't cringe at the price when I went to go stock up on refills.

I had saved some previous Air Wick warmers so I have one of these babies in each room. They even have the basement smelling decent for once! lol. We love this collection – it's affordable, lasts, and most importantly, they all smell great. Today marks the release of Oz the Great and Powerful & to celebrate its release, we'd like to share with you this Joey King (China Girl in Oz the Great & Powerful) interview & some clips!

Who do you play in Oz The Great And Powerful?
I play two characters in the movie. Firstly, I play a little girl in a wheelchair in Kansas. I also play a character named China Girl in the land of Oz. China Girl is a much bigger part.

How would you describe China Girl?
China Girl is a sassy little girl who is made completely from china. She’s a really cute character in the movie.

What do you like about her?
I like her personality and I like how she’s very delicate. China Girl is very strong and determined, which is very different from her outer appearance. She fools people with her delicate porcelain skin because she’s tough underneath.

Are you sassy in real life, just like China Girl?
China Girl and I are very similar in a lot of ways. Our personalities are the same and I’m pretty sassy, but China Girl is also a little manipulative. I’m not like that. Oh, but I do pull pranks on my sisters a lot! I guess that’s a little manipulative.

Tell us about the best prank you’ve ever pulled…
The best prank I ever pulled on my sister Hunter was the time I replaced her deodorant with cream cheese. I twisted out the deodorant and put in some cream cheese – and then I gave it to her to use. She was really mad at me, but it was hilarious!

Did you pull any pranks on the set of Oz The Great And Powerful?
Oh, yes! Zach Braff and I pulled a few pranks on each other. One time, I put toilet paper all over his room, which was really funny. There was toilet paper everywhere!

How did you get involved with Oz The Great And Powerful?
At first, I met the director for a screen test. I was up against a few other people for the role, but I really wanted it. I’ll admit it; I was a little nervous when I went into the room to meet him!

How did your screen test go?
It was very exciting because I got to talk to the director about the role in depth. I also got to see China Girl for the first time. They had a little doll of her, which was very cute. I read some lines and I did my best. The rest is history!

Where were you when you discovered you’d won the role?
I was in India filming The Dark Knight Rises when I found out I’d got the part. I was speaking to my sister when she told me the good news and I immediately started screaming. I cried because I was so excited. It was amazing!

How much fun did you have shooting Oz The Great And Powerful?
It was really fun because the studio where we shot the action was amazing. It was a huge building with lots of different, awesome sets. I got to walk along the yellow brick road every day. It was an amazing experience. It was really magical. I’ll never forget it.

What did you get up to when the cameras weren’t rolling?
I just had fun! I got to hang out with my cast mates, which included Zach Braff, James Franco and Michelle Williams. They would tease me all the time, which was very funny. I play China Girl in the movie, but they kept asking me, “Where’s your China Boy?”

What was your reply?
I would giggle and say, “Guys, stop it!” You know what? They were so much fun to hang out with on set. They were really fun to work with, too. I had the best time ever making this movie.

Did you have to do any schoolwork during the film shoot?
I had to do at least three hours of schooling every day, which was fun when I was learning about the subjects I enjoy. It’s not so fun when we were doing math. Math is horrible, but I love history, science, English and reading, as well as art. Math is so difficult. It’s not my thing. Why do I need to learn about linear variations and functions?

China Girl is a computer-generated character in the movie. What was it like to record your voice for the role?
I spent a lot of time in a little sound booth for this role, which was really interesting. There was a big camera filming my face while I read my lines into a microphone.

How much did you work in the sound booth?
I spent quite a while in there. They were filming the action on the set at the same time, so I could see everything on a monitor in the booth. The actors on set had earpieces so that they could hear me say everything. It was pretty cool!

How much time did you spend on set?
I was on set as often as possible. For example, there’s a scene in the dark forest where China Girl and Finley the flying monkey are sitting on a big boulder. Well, Zach [who plays Finley] and I would hide behind the boulder and do our lines from there. The cameras that would film our faces in the booth would film us on set so the animators could still see our facial expressions.

Can you see your facial expressions in the animation of China Girl?
Yes, definitely. I look at China Girl in the movie and I think, ‘Wow… What a resemblance!’ It’s really weird, but very cool. I love seeing her on screen.

What advice would you give to youngsters who want to follow in your footsteps and act?
Keep your dreams alive and never give up. Honestly, you’ve just got to keep going if you want to make it as an actor.

Why is it important to keep your dreams alive?
There’s a lot of disappointment and rejection in this industry. It’s hard, and it’s really difficult to deal with – but you just have to keep going. Never give up because you never know when something is going to come your way.

What would be your dream role?
Well, my ultimate dream is to win an Oscar. Other than that, I’m up for anything. I think a drama would be really cool to do next, but I also love comedies, scary movies, action movies and thrillers. I love everything! I can’t wait to find out what’s next…

My thoughts:

I have to say, I LOVE this take on The Wizard of Oz! My son was able to enjoy it & I didn't have to worry about it being too scary for him. I also love that it centers around Minnie – one of my personal favorite Disney characters. It was full of fun from start to finish but all the while learning along the way. We absolutely loved it! My son even warmed up & wants to watch Oz The Great and Powerful after this but I don't know – we'll see. For now, we're sticking to this fun version!

Being a stay at home mom, I get asked what I do all day occasionally. Some don't flat out say it but I know they think I either a) sleep in & watch TV all day or b) do nothing but play and watch movies with my son all day. They think since I don't work, that I stay up late, wake up late & do nothing. Far from the truth! I actually try my best to go to sleep early & wake up early. To me, there isn't enough hours in the day & when I wake up late, it's depressing feeling like I've lost a portion of the day. In between cleaning around the house, doing laundry, blogging, cooking, running errands and helping my son with his homeschooling, there's actually little time where I can actually sit down & relax with my son & play & watch movies with him. There are days where I shut down & devote my day to him but most of the time, we're always on the move doing something.

Since we're usually on the go, I always make sure to have snacks around at all times. I do my best to keep it healthy & luckily, little man doesn't mind healthy snacks. He actually loves veggies and especially fruit. I like to change it up for him so I was happy to find out that DOLE has a new fruit pouch that is BPA, GMO (not made with genetically modified or engineered ingredients), and also Gluten free. They have a full serving of all-natural fruit & are only 60 calories. They come in Apple, Apple Mixed Berry, and Apple Strawberry & are the perfect snack to take on the go. We saw them at Walmart for $2.99 for a box of 4. I couldn't help it & bought a box of each – he preferred the Apple one while I preferred the Apple Mixed Berry. One thing we did agree on is that these are yummy! I stop to take a break with him for snack each time and we each grab for one of these yummy pouches in the car when we're running errands.

Some time-saving tips that I now use to spend more time with my son is that I now use lists for everything & I have time slots for when I have to do things. I prep the next day's dinner a day before so I won't waste time prepping. I now deep clean on the weekends & dust and do light cleaning on the weekdays. I wake up earlier than my son does to get my blogging done. When my son wakes up, we finish whatever errands need to be done, he gets some homeschooling done and now, we usually have the whole afternoons free which is perfect since Summer is here already in our neck of the woods. Before, I usually just woke up & did things randomly but I like my new schedule. It gives me more time to spend with my little family & I couldn't be happier.

My thoughts:

My niece loves this show! She gathers all her LPS toys when she watched this DVD & even my son watched it with her. While I'm sure mostly girls will watch this show, it's fun & entertaining enough for boys as well. My son didn't complain & he was laughing along with my niece at the pets. There aren't that many shows that are on TV right now that are geared towards the kids who are too old for preschool shows or too young for shows that are more for teens. Littlest Pet Shop is perfect. This was a life saver when the storm took out the satellite signal the other day – it's definitely worth checking out – my niece & son both give it a thumbs up!
