Okay. I’m really running late because I couldn’t find the video file once I made this and apparently don’t know how to work Vimeo.
Turn up the volume! I just have a little voice! See you on the east coast!

I don’t think you will ever find another company where a founder will walk into the building, stroll right up to you (when it’s your first time meeting) and tell you how glad he is that you’re there. Maybe one day I will be a little less baffled and manage more than stutters and smiles in response.

That is one of the many, many reasons why I am absolutely in love with this company.

Another one of the many, many reasons why I am absolutely in love with this company is that I get to work with so many great people who put on events like Super Saturday.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead

A few of those amazing people I always talk about; Maggie Gale, Aaron Garrity, Justin Goodrich and Ron Gale.

I’m coming to the conclusion that everyone is XanGo is a walking quote book - so my notes are always out of hand and full of such good quotes. I’ll try not to go too overboard with what I share on here though.

Okay. I lied. I’m just going to go completely overboard with a whole bunch of quotes to consume this entry, because I’ve already professed my undying love for this company and everyone who is a part of it. And that’s all that I really have to say and I’ll let the quotes speak for themselves.

Aaron Garrity;

It’s your movement.

The biggest leaders in Xango have not even hit 1K yet.

The greatest thing I’ve learned is forgiveness.

Anton Garrity;

The opportunity is here to make a difference in a short amount of time.

Creating a team is what it’s all about to become successful.

We have people that are grounded.

Act like the leader you know you are going to be.

That which scares you most, that’s what you need to do.

Dream big, then bigger.

I am so glad to be a part of this company right now - I know we’ve done incredible things thus far, but I really can’t wait to see where we’re about to go with the launch of X51 on July 20th. A lot of people think that because they didn’t join Xango when it first started that they missed the ‘wave’ - but it’s been predicted that the second wave with X51 will be larger than the first wave Xango experienced with the juice.

I just want to finish with an excellent quote from Justin Goodrich which he wrapped up Super Saturday with;

We are going to make history tonight, we are going to finish on time.

I just spent the evening at an amazing business opportunity meeting where so many of our great local leaders spoke - Justin, Debbie, Maggie, Grace, Donna & Jaralin - as well as the many others that were there. Also, Anton Garrity, a XanGo 500K came all the way from Utah! Anton was here tonight for the opportunity meeting and will also be doing more training tomorrow for Super Saturday. If that all wasn’t awesome enough, Aaron Garrity, one of the six founders will be here for Super Saturday as well.

Tomorrow will be my first Super Saturday so I’m definitely really excited. Perhaps a little bummed that Chanel is out of town and missing this - we are note taking fiends. She will just have to put up with my chicken scratch and not quite up to par mangosteen sketches!

This month is so jammed pack with awesome XanGo related things that I can hardly contain myself! We have even more Glimpse parties planned which I’m so excited for, I’m hoping that some day in my life I will become half as well versed as Debbie is regarding Glimpse!

I’m going to end with this quote of an e-mail from Ron and Marlene Brice;

So many successes, so many positive people who are growing like wildfire. What we really learned was the age old adage of the power of people working together. We know what we are going to do now, and how we are going to do it, more than at any previous time in the business.

The time is now. Start the fire and spread it. Where are you? Where do you want to be? How are you going to get there?

“You are not here to play it safe. You are here to start fires.” - Sera Beck

I just wanted to write a quick entry to start off the week with, the month for that matter.

This morning was a typical Monday morning - although maybe with a few more technical difficulties than usual (who am I kidding, Monday mornings are always filled with technical difficulties). Justin and I both had two conference calls accomplished between 8:30-10 AM - one with my mom, one with Chanel. And contrary to what he may have you believe - he isn’t all that grumpy in the mornings, I am his favorite though so I imagine that affects the outcome.

After a morning of brainstorming and goal setting for the coming weeks I am extremely ready for June to bring it on. I’m already about a hundred steps ahead of where I usually am at the end of the month, so it looks promising!

I really wanted to touch a bit on how excited I am for every single thing that is happening in my life right now. I really feel like Chanel & I are the perfect fit for business partners and are well on our way to accomplishing everything we have planned (quite lofty things, at that). It’s so nice to be able to work with someone who can probably spit out the idea that I was thinking of before it’s even out of my own mouth.

I was looking back on a post that she made on her own blog, mere weeks after I joined Xango - right when we decided that we were going to do this, and give it everything we had because ‘well, there is no reason not to try’.

That day Chanel wrote;

It’s time to be the purple socks and red shoes in a room full of black. It’s time to be crazy and fearless, to do the things that others are not willing, to stand out, to leave an impression, to make some difference that we lived at all. It’s not going to be easy, but it will be worth it.

Read the entire blog post here. It will be worth it.

Exciting things that are happening in June;

Beverly Hollister is in the May 2009 issue of Fashion magazine! The issue features women in their 20’s , 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

Beverly, 55, creator of Glimpse and senior vice president of XanGo is featured in the beauty section. And looks absolutely stunning as always, might I add.

I want to include a couple excerpts from the article as well;

Through education and research, I have become aware of the toxic ingredients and harmful chemicals in personal-care products. This concern is deep-rooted within me, as I watched my mother die of cancer. I wish I had known about healthier, non-toxic options. However, now we have the power to create a movement as women; to demand safer, performance-based products for ourselves and our loved ones.

Early on, as a nutritionist, I saw what scientists could do with their lab mice to age them: deprive them of nutrition, exercise, rest or sleep. So I believe we should all take an analysis of our lives and look at what it is that causes our stress, and then make conscious choices. Knowledge is the key - never stop learning. If we invest a little bit of time and energy in further educating ourselves and make wise decisions about what we put in our bodies, we can ultimately affect our health and appearance as we age.

This is also such a great quote;

I believe the more we age, the more we come into our own. Our wisdom, balance, choice and creation deepen with time. I’ve learned that making a difference, knowing not to sweat the little things, and doing what I love is liberating and empowering. I choose to empower other women, mould my grandchildren and love my life choices. When I look in the mirror, I embrace my reflection. Yes, getting older is going to happen, but how I choose to age is within my power.

Beverly is an absolutely phenomenal woman, and I think I can speak for myself and Chanel when I say that we are really proud to be in business with an industry leader. We’re glad to be part of something that is setting a standard for our generation as well.

Still on newstands, the May 2009 issue of Martha Stewart Living features our favorite superfruit… mangosteen! Or more specifically, the mangosteen goodness inside XanGo juice. Excerpts from the article:

Is there science behind the hype? Here, some questions for Brent A. Bauer, a phsician and the director of the Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program at the Mayo Clinic. Bauer is launching the first large-scale human clinical trial of mangosteens.

Q: What inspired you to study this tropical fruit?

A: A lot of rheumatology patients were giving anecdotal reports about drinking [mangosteen juice] and then not needing their arthritis drugs anymore. There are high concentrations of xanthones [an antioxidant] in the rind of the fruit, which is ground up and used in making the juice. In lab studies looking at cell cultures and in studies on mice and rats, xanthones have been shown to be potent anti-inflammatories.

(To learn more about how mangosteen helps arthritis, click here.)

You can read the whole article here, or pick it up while it’s still on newstands!

Pictured here: Bob and I, in the middle of nowhere, standing in 34°F weather.

Merissa and Bhupinder are making a similar journey, only they got a 24 hour head start on us. So they’re probably lost in Idaho somewhere right now, wishing they were sitting in the sun by the pool on the roof of our hotel in Vegas instead of shivering in parkas and wondering about world-famous potatoes. (We’re getting close to there too, so I can’t joke about it too much.)

But, we all had fun! And things to look out for as soon as we’re back:

Ending world hunger in children under 5

A sneak peak at XanGo’s not-yet-released mineral makeup, step five of the toxin-free, performance-driven Glimpse skincare line

Bob and Bhupinder hitting the slot machines

Bob and Bhupinder hitting the XanGo store

Bob and Bhupinder hitting the XanGo bar

Bob and Bhupinder with their cousins

Chanel and Merissa meet Misha Hughes

Videos!

… And much more that I can’t recall at 8:30 in the morning. So stay tuned!

One of the great things about this business is the people you meet along the way. We are blessed to be part of a company is filled with amazing people of all backgrounds, talents, specialties and experience. In the time that I have been involved, I have gotten to know many of the people who work this business with me very well—and in a way, many of them have become my XanGo family.

Ron is no exception. I have known him for about three years now, and I can safely say that he has gone above and beyond in supporting us, mentoring us and working alongside us in our XanGo business. We are extremely lucky to have him and his lovely wife, Maggie, as our business partners and part of our upline support—and just to give an idea of how dedicated he is … when my mother and I did our very first XanGo booth at a conference in TEXAS (ten days after we had signed up!), he flew down to help us out. 4,000 miles from home. After only knowing us for ten days!

Today, Ron turns 63. Hard to believe, considering that he doesn’t look a day over 25 (must be the Glimpse!) … but we have no reason to believe he’d lie about his age. Happy Birthday Ron!
