I have been seeing these new Launch Box frozen sandwiches in the freezer section at Publix for awhile and I thought it would be a great snack to purchase for my kids to try. Well low and behold, a few weeks after I saw them in the store, I received a digital voxbox from Influenster for me to test and review this product for free!

All I had to do was purchase this product, upload my receipt on the Influenster app, and Influenster would then reimburse me up to $5.99 for my purchase. I purchased these sandwiches at Publix for $4.49 and Influenster reimbursed me within a matter of days.

I purchased the ham and Colby jack sandwiches. Four crust-less ham and Colby jack cheese sandwiches come in the box. This was great because I have three children and that left one for me to try.

These sandwiches are made with uncured ham and Colby jack cheese in crust-less wheat bread. Each sandwich has 8 g of protein and no added nitrates. They are 120 calories each and contain no trans fat. Overall, these are healthy little sandwiches.

Theses sandwiches are a great grab and go snack and also prefect to throw into your child's lunch box. All you have to do is thaw and eat. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

So, overall these are a great tasting and healthy, quick and simple grab and go snack for kids of all ages. Even though all you have to do is thaw them and eat them, my kids like them best when I serve them warm and toasted. I would recommend you trying out these sandwiches to see if your family enjoys them as well.

What's for dinner? Quick and easy sausage and peppers cheesy pasta bake.

Add the sauce and whatever veggies you want.

Pleased to see that the sauce had lots of actual chunks of sausage in it.

Added lots of cheese!!!

Viola!!! Baked for 30 min. at 375 degrees and it was done.

This pasta sauce was super delicious. Only the Sausage & Peppers pasta sauce was used in this recipe. I will try the Four Cheese next time.

This sauce was an absolute hit with my family. I will definitely add this to my shopping list.

How Do You CLASSICO?

I know it has been awhile since I have updated my blog but I just want you all to know that all is well. I pray that you all Have been doing well and are BLESSED!

Well as always, I am here to tell you all about my recent treat that I received absolutely free to test and review from Influenster. This month I was chosen to review Classico's Organic Tamato & Bail Pasta Sauce.

At first I was a little skeptical because I am a huge fan of Prego pasta sauce and because when I think of organic, I think of bland, tasteless, health food. Well to my surprise, Classico's Organic Tomato & Basil pasta sauce nowhere close to being bland. This is a simple yet very tasty pasta sauce. I was amazed how such a simple pasta sauce could be full of so much flavor. You can taste the freshness of the ripe tomatoes and it has the right amount of Basil added to it to not make it overpowering.

This sauce complemented each dish I used it in. One night my kids requested that I make meatball subs so I figured this would be the perfect time to test out the sauce. I didn't let the kids know that I would be using a new sauce because I wanted to see if they would notice a difference in the taste.

Well, dinner was a hit and the kids loved the meatball subs. I asked them if they noticed a difference in the taste of the sauce and only my oldest daughter noticed a difference. She doesn't like chunky pasta sauces and she said that the sauce was smooth and not full of chunks of tomatoes. She said that I could buy this sauce from now on.

The following night, it was time to test it out on my husband. He already know that it was Classico's Organic sauce but he didn't know what it tasted like. Now, like me, my husband is a huge fan of Prego Meat Flavored Pasta Sauce. He can't stand any other pasta sauces so I knew this would be a true test.

I made him a nice bowtie pasta with some of the meatballs that were slow cooked in the Classico Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce, a nice light side salad and a piece of toasted French bread. I watched him closely as he ate. He tried to find something wrong with the sauce but he couldn't. He was please with the taste and he even said that we could start adding it to our shopping list.

Classico's Organic Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce passed the taste test of the picky eaters of my house. I will definitely be adding this pasta sauce to my shopping list and making more yummy meals. Next up, HOMEMADE PIZZA!!!

Hefty Microwave Strong from Influenster #HeftyHeftyHefty

Hello my beautiful people!!! I pray that everyone is doing well and enjoying the Holidays. I'm doing FANTASTIC!

As you probably figured out, I received another Voxbox to test and review complementary of Influenter. A few weeks ago, I received a bright orange box in the mail from with Hefty stamped across it.

Now I know hefty makes a number of products and this box contained the new Hefty Microwave Strong plates. I couldn't have been more please since Thanksgiving was just around the corner.

I couldn't wait to test out these plates because they claimed to be soak proof, crack/cut resistant, and they won't melt in the microwave. My family and I have used our fair share of paper/plastic/Styrofoam plates and they all seem fail us in one if not all of those things that Hefty claims their plates won't do.

Well after trying out these plates, I am please to say that Hefty and their product stands true to their name. These plates are truly Microwave Strong!!! These plates did not crack on us and my kids didn't cut threw them with their plastic knives. Even when we reheated leftovers in the microwave, the plates came out in the same great condition and not melted and limp!

You did not disappoint us Hefty and we will definitely be recommending these plates to all our family and friends!

This box was filled with six rolls of Cottonelle's Clean Care Mega Roll toilet tissue and believe me when I say it came right on time because I was done to my last roll of tissue.

Even got two coupons with $.75 off my next purchase of Cottonelle toilet tissue!

This was a six pack but by the time my husband snapped this picture I had already placed two rolls in my bathroom.

I'm usually not a fan of soft tissues (shhh, truth be told, I'm a Scott kind of girl) but I must admit this Cottonelle Clean Care Mega Roll tissue left me felling clean. I'm so excited about this awesome VoxBox that I received complimentary from Influenster! This time I was lucky enough to be chosen to test and review the L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil Advance Hair Care System. So can a shampoo really change your hair. This one claims to do just that so, we shall see.

I love getting free products to test and review but it's even better when they send the full size products. No sample sizes over here. I received three full sized products and a $2.00 off coupon. I'm such a lucky gal!

First, we have the L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Shampoo.

Daily care for dry, lifeless hair. This shampoo is lightweight and non-greasy. Get Lustrous, soft hair in 1 wash!

This shampoo smells AMAZING!!!! It gives such a rich lather and it leaves your hair feeling really clean and revitalized.

Kiss True Volume Lashes: How To & Final Look

Hello,

If you read my previous blogs than you know I received the Influenster Jingle Voxbox. One of the items that I received was a pair of Kiss True Volume Lashes as well as the Kiss Strip Lash Adhesive with Aloe. I'm not the kind of girl that wears false eyelashes but I was curious to try these lashes out because they looked so natural.

These are the lashes that I received. They are in the style "Chic". These lashes are made out of 100% NATURAL HAIR and they have tapered ends which makes them look more natural.

This is the Kiss Strip Lash Adhesive with Aloe. The adhesive is clear and it is made of a non-irritating formula. This adhesive brushes on allowing you to have a thin and precise glue line.

Here is a before picture of me before I applied the lashes. As you can see, my lashes are short and not to visible.

The lashes and adhesive are easy to apply, even for a beginner like myself. I'll show you how I applied them.

Of course you'll need a pair of True Volume Strip Lashes and Kiss Stripe Lash Adhesive.

The applicator brush is thin so you can get a precise glue line on the lashes.

The adhesive goes on white but it dry's clear.

(Oops, I never finished polishing my nails.)

Wait about 30 seconds for the adhesive to dry a little so it can get a little tacky. This helps the lashes stick easier when you are applying them.

Apply the lashes right on your lash line. Hold them in place until they dry completely. This takes about 30 seconds.

Repeat on other eye.

VOILA!!!! That's it! It's as simple as 1, 2, 3.

Can you see a difference??? I sure do. For these to be fake I lashes, I think they look really natural looking. These lashes were so comfortable that I forgot that I even had them on.

Hey guys, So I already told you about one awesome product I received in my #JingleVoxBox which was sent to me completely FREE from Influenster ( check out my previous blog post). Well, I have another goodie to share with you all and trust me it is truly good.

So inside of my #JingleVoxBox was a coupon to try any one Ore-Ida Tator Tots product for FREE!!!

My family and I love tator tots and of course anything free so I went to the grocery store and pick up a bag of the Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Tator Tots. Ore-Ida Tator Tots are made of 100% real potatoes, They have 0g Trans Fat per serving, they are Gluten Free, and they are a cholesterol free food!!!

I love Tator tots because they are so convenient and versatile. You can eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and you can serve them up so many ways. Matter of fact, here is a great meal/snack that I like to make with my tots.

I call these my Southwestern Loaded Totchos!!!!

The recipe is very simple and easy to make. Here's what you'll need:

1 bag Ore-Ida Tator Tots of your choice.
1 medium Onion *
1 Red Bell Pepper *
1 Green Bell Pepper
( * I used a prepackaged frozen Fajita Blend which has the onions and peppers pre sliced*)
1 tube Breakfast Sausage (I used Turkey Sausage instead of pork)
Shredded Cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice
Sour Cream

First, brown your breakfast sausage and set meat aside.

Second, sauté the onions and peppers in the residual grease left over from the sausage.

Third, fry up them tator tots and get them nice and golden brown. Feel free to bake them if you like.

VOILA!!!! Loaded Totchos.

Trust me you and your family will love them. You can also add salsa or avocados or any of your favorite topping. These are a great crowd pleasure and prefect for game day!

Feeling Real #Cheerphil with Cetaphil

Hello everyone! I truly pray that you all are having a very BLESSED new year. This year has started out so wonderful for me and I am so full of thanks. I learned that we must give thanks in all times whether good or bad. Also, we must also be thankful for the little things as well as the big.

With that being said, you know what I'm feeling thankful for? Yep, that's right. Your girl was blessed with receiving another Influenster VoxBox and I and so thankful because it was full of so many useful goodies. The one product out of this #JingleVoxBox (I received it for Christmas if you couldn't tell by the name) that I am very thankful for was the 1oz jar of Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream.

I was seriously happy to see this in my voxbox because during these cold winter months, my hands get extremely dry. Don't let the small size of this moisturizing cream fool you. This cream is so creamy and moisturizing and a little goes a long way. It goes on silky smooth and it doesn't leave any kind of greasy residue behind. It's not only great for your hands but it can be used form head to toe. Trust me, if you have dry skin like me, your skin will thank you.

Just look at how dry my hands look in the picture above.

These are my nice silky smooth hands after using the Cetaphil Mosturizing Cream. Wow, What a difference.

Yay!!! Look at all those free goodies. I love anything free. Best of all their healthy and yummy too!

This was the prefect treat. There was enough juice for my three little ones and my hubby and I to enjoy. We all love juice so this voxbox was perfect for us.

Hubby and I absolutely loved the Tart Cherry. For it to be 100% Juice with no sugar added, it was full of flavor. Apple & Eve states that they use only the finest organically grown fruit. It's just how nature intended juice to be. They are good for you and good for out planet. Purely Organic. Simply delicious. Comes in an eco friendly carton that protect the juice and the planet. Guess what! I was chosen by Influenster to take part in the Maybelline #BetterSkinChallenge In this challenge I was asked to wear the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Skin-Transforming Foundation for 3 weeks and give my honest opinion about the product. I was super excited when Influenster notified me that I had been chosen #contest . I just LOVE receiving these lovely Vox Boxes in the mail.

Just regular old me. I think I'm kind of cute without the makeup!

Okay, so let me be honest. The color I was sent to review was #90 Warm Honey. Now it was a shade lighter than my complexion so I had to do a LOT of blending but I was able to make it work.

So here is my week one picture~

I loved how light and airy this foundation was. It went on super smooth and it had awesome coverage. Even though it was a shade too light for my complexion, it was super easy to blend.

I wore this foundation almost everyday for the 3 weeks and I must say that I was pleasantly pleased with the overall results of this foundation. I love how it covers all of my blemishes and make my skin feel super soft. What I loved best about this foundation is how natural it looked. Many times I forgot I was wearing foundation. I will definitely purchase this foundation in my correct color. As you can see from my week 3 pictures I really liked this foundation. Oh, don't mind the frown on my face. The sun was in my eyes!!!

     These products are all so good and I couldn't have been happier with them. I opened the Ivory soap a few nights after receiving it and of course it was a hit. My family loved how gentle it was and the kids were so excited when they saw that it floated.  The Neosporin Neo To Go came at the right time because my son and daughter both fell and had nasty cuts. I'm so glad we were #NeoReady because it was a lifesaver. I knew the Puffs single pack wouldn't last long because my kids suffer from bad allergies. They are soft and gentle and I will be buying more of these. I had was super shocked to see that I received a full sized Avon Anew Wrinkle Smoother for free in this box. I mean it does cost $30 so I'm totally glad it was free. I'm only 32 so I don't have any wrinkles just yet but I will still happily use it so my can look my best at all times.
     AND THE MOST AWESOME OF ALL THE PRODUCTS WOULD HAVE TO GO TO THE BREYERS GELATO INDULGENCES!!!!!   Let me tell you that these babies are soooooo super duper yummy and delicious! I have already tried the Vanilla Caramel and my husband and I couldn't get enough of it. We found ourselves spoon fighting trying to get the last scoop. I really want to try the Tiramisu and I have already requested that it be my special birthday treat. I mean who cares about birthday cake when you can have some yummy, creamy gelato.  Well make cake and Gelato!!!

Winning the Fight Against Cancer

“It takes a village” is a saying that I heard frequently when I was pregnant with my daughter who was born on August 4th, 2005. After her delivery, by emergency C-section, a “village” of people, parents, family members, and friends surrounded us. They were there to meet our daughter, Lily, and wish us well. Life was good, however I was not prepared for the storm that was about to come.

After a month off, I returned to work full-time. I began to have symptoms that I attributed to my being a new mom. I had no energy; felt tired, and was breathless all of the time. The symptoms did not let up, so I went to the doctor. After undergoing a myriad of tests, on November 21, 2005, 3-1/2 months after the birth of Lily, I was diagnosed with malignant pleural mesothelioma.

Mesothelioma is a cancer that is caused by exposure to asbestos and affects the lining of the lungs. As a child, I was unknowingly exposed to asbestos and 30 years later, I developed cancer. When informed of my diagnosis, my first thoughts were about Lily and my husband. I was told that if I did not have any treatments for mesothelioma, I would have 15 months to live. I knew that I had to do whatever it took to save my life.

I undertook the most drastic treatment that I was offered. My husband and I flew to Boston, where I underwent a procedure called extrapleural pneumonectomy, which involved the removal of my left lung. I spent 18 days in the hospital, another two months recovering at home before starting chemotherapy, and then I began radiation treatments.

My “village” of people came forth to support me, as a new mom, and as a victim of mesothelioma. These people surrounded me with love, support, and prayer. People from all areas of my life came to support me. Through this experience, I found out who really cares about me.

My daughter, Lily, lived with my parents while we were in Boston. When they needed help, they also found a “village” of people to help them. Married women, with whom I babysat as children, showed up to help my parents. People from my church surrounded my parents with help, love, and support. While in Boston, my husband and I made new friends who were going through the same ordeal as I was, and we bonded. These friends helped us through each day.

Back home, in South Dakota, mom sent me grainy, black and white email pictures, and I witnessed my daughter’s progress; she went from using a bottle to eating food. I tried not to cry when the nurses would come by to admire the pictures. Lily was the reason I was there, fighting for my life.

Having cancer taught me to live each day as if it might be my last. My favorite quote: “Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death.”

Been away enjoying my family

     I never knew how much I missed out on my kids lives when I was working. I would just send them to daycare and not think much about it. When I picked them up I would asked them what the learned and they would tell me and I would be so proud of them. They would come home sing songs and try to teach me the new games they learned at school.  They where having new experiences but I was not a part of them. A teacher that they may or may not remember was getting to share in such a major part of their lives one that I never got to see because I was always working.

     I was truly blessed when I decided to leave work and stay home with my kids. I didn't realize how much I was missing out on. Now I can see my kids grow. I can be involved with their learning and see how they interact with one another and watch them play. We can dance, sing songs, play games, and build cherished memories with one another.

    I missed out on 160 HOURS a month with my first two children with me working and them being in daycare. 160 hours every month is a lot of time not to be around your family. That's time I can't get back. I missed out on a lot of  my sons firsts like drinking out of a cup and eating with a fork and spoon. Those may seem like little things but they are major to a mother.

     I don't ever want to miss out on that much time with my family ever again. one minute their babies and before we know it they are grown.I going to enjoy all the time I can spend with my family. Time is precious once it is gone you cant get it back.

HOMEMADE PIZZA YUMMY!!

What an awesome day. God is so good. He blessed us with the breath of life and we got to spend another wonderful day together as a family. What more could a girl ask for ... awww got to love it.

Today was filled with the kids running around playing and laughing, watching our baby girl learn how to roll on her tummy, and my honey and I just bonding. We watched a few movies and played some games and then my honey asked that age old question "WHAT'S FOR DINNER?"

Since we already did everything else together today we thought that it would be perfect to cook together also. It was great and lots of fun. We decided to make a homemade pizza. This was our first time making a pizza but it turned out great.

Everyone had a part in making our TURKEY TACO and ONION CHEDDAR CHEESE PIZZA. I cooked up the toppings. I used Turkey taco meat. I honey laid on all the sauce and the kids topped the pizza with the cheddar cheese.

It tasted so good we had to make another one

YUMMY!!! WHAT A GREAT DINNER.

Nap Time

     Sleep is a major factor for a good healthy life. Chlidren develope mentally and phisycially in the early stages of childhood and taking a regular nap helps give your child time to grow and rejuvenate.

     Taking a nap during some point of the day keeps your child from being sleepy and cranky which leads to them being in a bad mood.

     Many parents enjoy the idea for a nap because it allows them to do much needed housework, cook, or just take a moment to relax. I found that when my kids would nap, that is when I got most of my housework accomplished.

     At some point your child will give up naps. Our two oldest no longer take naps. I find myself on occassion asking them to take a nap but it never happens. Our oldest gave up naps around 4 and our middle stop taking them at the age of 2. I feel that the 2yr old wont take a nap because big sis isn't taking one. Of course the baby still naps and I don't think she'll give them up anytime soon.

LIFE'S NOT SO EASY

     That's right, I used to have it easy. I had it made and life was easy. I was a manager at a major retailer working Monday - Friday 7am. - 4pm. putting in 40hrs a week. My day would start off with me waking up at 6:00am , getting my kids dressed, dropping them off at daycare, and then I would head to work. My job consisted of me managing my department, ordering merchandise, controlling inventory, assisting customers, and I can't forget to mention those daily meetings. After working on this job just 4 months shy of 11 years, I started getting bored. After a while, I felt like my life was a movie that was stuck on repeat. I would do the same thing every day. Get up, take the kids to daycare, and go to work over and over again day in and day out. I would see other mothers in the store shopping with their friends and kids and I would envy them and wish that could be me. Oh, what I would do to get away from this job that had already consumed 11years of my life.

     Then it happened, I got pregnant with my third child. My doctor put me on bed rest in the seventh month so I had to take a leave from work. This was it, this was my chance to get out. After talking things over with my fiance, we decided that it would be best for me to stay home with the kids while he continued to work and support our growing family.

    Yes, finally the vacation that I always wanted. I could get up when I wanted, hangout with my family, do my shopping, and plan my day on my time. WRONG, I was so silly to think that being a full-time mommy would be easier than working a full-time job.

     See, when I worked a regular job I could take a break every two hours but being home with the kids, there is no such thing as a break. If the baby isn't crying, I'm dealing with the older two and once I get things situated with them and think that I might relax a while and take a break the baby starts to cry. Being home with my 3 kids is also more challenging then my former job because we no longer have them in daycare. Now not only am I the mother but also the teacher. My days are full of teaching them their numbers and ABC's, singing songs, coloring, and doing other children's activities. I have them on a schedule. School starts at 9:30am and out at 12:00pm which gives me enough time to cook lunch and do any house work before daddy gets home.

     But wait, I thought I would get to go shopping and have lots of free time for myself and my family and not be bound to a job and have others set my schedule. How wrong I was. This is no piece of cake. I don't get a break every two hours, I no longer work 7-4, and I sure don't get every week-end off any more.

     Having a job does complicate things and limit the time you get to spend with your family. You may not be able to go on vacation when you like, get certain days off or even get that perfect schedule you always hoped for. Yeah, working a full-time job may be hard, boring,and repetitive, but nothing is harder than being a full-time mommy.

     The days of shopping and having free time went out the window when I had kids. Instead of having a boss dictate to me I have 3 kids controlling my days and setting my schedules. They let me think I'm the boss, but they really have control over my day.

     Don't get me wrong, I love being a full-time mommy and I sure wont be going back to my old job anytime soon. Yes, it's harder much harder than I thought but I wouldn't change a thing. I love my life and I absolutely love my family. I'm truly blessed, but It's hard being a full time mommy.
