WAX

If a container is too large, spillover will occur causing the votive to burn the wick down before evaporating all of the wax. SOFT PARAFFIN WAX Soft wax is used in all jar containers and tealights due to the wax’s ability to hold and release more scent. We DO NOT just sit around and piddle our thumbs all day and have projects “handed” to us on a silver platter!

As crazy as this may sound, it’s true. As contractors we have to find our own work. It’s not handed to us on a platter.. we actually have to go out and market ourselves, find clients, do the work, and close the deal.

I read an article today in the local newspaper here.. the title was “Freelancers Have It So Easy”. It was about how freelancers get projects “handed” to them daily and have all the free time in the world. Now, I’ve been doing freelance work for about 3 years now and when I first started out I did nothing but market and advertise my services. You know the whole “sell yourself” thing. Nothing came easy and I had to fight for the projects I really wanted. Now, because word of mouth is so powerful, I spend less time marketing and more time working.

I worked in an office before I became an Independent Contractor. Working freelance I get more work done in a 4 hour day than I did in an 8 hour day at the office.

Myth #1.. We don’t have projects “handed” to us and we don’t have all the free time in the world.

After initial training in their local Reservations Office, Home-based Reservations Representatives will take calls from home. Home-based Reservations Representatives sell American Airlines’ service to prospective customers by answering incoming calls and assisting customers in reaching satisfactory solutions to their needs. They apply sales techniques while providing schedules, fares, and flight information to our customers in a manner that meets the standards of high customer service as outlined in the basic training and call handling guidelines. In addition, the Home-based Reservations Representatives will respond to callers inquiries in our non-airline related ventures, as call volume dictates. The operation of the computer terminal and the standard PC keyboard is required. All functions are performed within specific time standards that are based on the average work times of fellow employees. Candidates will report to the local Reservations Office periodically for training and team meetings.

Qualifications: In order to be considered for this position, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must have a High school diploma or GED. The ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. All candidates must have the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Candidates will be required to perform duties while remaining at their workstation for long periods of time, possibly up to three hours. Our ideal candidate will be able to concentrate on details and handle multiple tasks with accuracy while providing outstanding customer service, as well as work professionally and successfully on a daily basis. My life as an IC.. for anyone who doesn’t know what an IC is.. it’s an Independent Contractor.

You may or may not be asking yourself what an Independent Contractor is.. Well, if you are, we are the entrepreneurial type that likes challenges… you may even say we are adventurous!

Independent Contractors are also commonly known as IC’s, freelancers, consultants or contractors.
