New Studio I am in a transition~still! My guy Gary has been slaving away getting my jewelry studio ready! I wish I had taken before photos~the floor of the area above was all SAND.....he hand poured 4000 lbs of cement to create the floor of my studio (have I mentioned before how very MUCH I LOVE THIS MAN?)... today he installed my electrical so I am now ready to unload all of my inventory....

Well we made it! After much praying, many second thoughts, driving cross country with a huge truck and 2 cats, and did I mention much PRAYING??? We are finally the new owners of the Applesauce Inn Bed & Breakfast in Bellaire, Mi. We have been unpacking, entertaining guests, watching the leaves change, been tourists, checked out the local eateries, and generally just getting to know the place!

It is soooooo beautiful here! We have been truly blessed! I am still going to try and continue my Etsy jewelry shop, once Gary sets up my workstation! He has been busy getting our basement cleaned and ready for winter storage! We have already met some awesome folks here. Wendy and Dave the former Innkeepers are just amazing! The home they created out of the B&B is just beautiful! We are both so very happy!!!

I will be setting up a separate blog for the bed and breakfast in the next several weeks! But I wanted to let everyone know what was going on! I have had many folks checking in and I really appreciate all the support even though I have been out of the loop the last several weeks!
Northwestern Michigan is a must destination! We have lakes, we have streams, we have skiing, it really is a sportsmen paradise.

Wow...what a wonderful color story! I just love the shabby, very chic shades here. These frames and mirror are incredible. I can see this each of these frames featured on a bedroom wall in a gallery style hanging. The robins egg blue just plays off so nicely with the warm ivory tones.

This is one of my favorite pieces. I created this bracelet using vintage Italian Wedding Cake lampwork beads from a broken necklace. The turquoise clear beads and seed beads were part of the same necklace. The ivory beads are carved lucite rosebeads.

What I came home to Thursday evening

It has been another stressful week, we are still in "limbo" with the purchase of our Bed & Breakfast, we are trying to sell 2 cars, we are packing up the house, and my Thursday night meeting at work was a downer 'cuz business is so bad, layoffs are coming......so when I got home Thursday night I was really looking forward to a big glass of red wine.

It really is time to get out of dodge.....California was a great place for a very long time, but I really am looking forward to getting back to Michigan, back to the beautiful woods, lakes and rivers. To have property where I won't have the neighbors in my lap......ahhhhh this just can't happen fast enough!

I am so excited! I had this lovely piece featured on a very cool, awesome blog. I am a BIG fashion magazine fan, always have been, there is just something about flipping the pages, again and again, ripping them out and getting inspiration. Needless to say, I was going through this month's Lucky magazine, and they always have guest fashion bloggers, so I usually will check them out, become a follower and leave my link info just in case they want to check me out. This little lovely bracelet was featured this morning in two awesome treasuries! I struck luck today! I created this bracelet using vintage seashells from a necklace, the green focal shell is also reclaimed and actually is outlined with 14k gold. I added turquoise glass beads, and blue milk glass beads and vintage white lucite beads. This beautiful piece has lots of movement.

New Purple Passion visit my Etsy Shop!

Well I did it~ I created a FACE BOOK page http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001423175121#!/profile.php?id=100001423175121&v=wall . I had been pooh poohing doing it because I felt I was doing enough already ~a blog, twitter, posting on other blogs, emails, hearting other Etsy shops, becoming an SFEtsy team member, sfetsy google email~ whew! But no it must NOT be enough because sales have all but dried up! So now FACE BOOK. More computer time, less creative time. I have already met some awesome cool people on FACE BOOK, plus many others that I already follow through Twitter. I just hope that I am not once again just posting to other sellers~we are all in the same boat. Can't buy something if you aren't selling anything RIGHT? Anyway, I will continue to do what I can on the computer, and create in between.

EGGPLANT, LEMON THYME & BASIL

Is there anything better than spending your Saturday in the Garden? Boy I don't think so! I look forward to summer in the garden, I spend my winters (really tough winters here in San Jose LOL) planning out my garden, I sketch out what I want to plant, I look over the planter boxes to see what needs to be repaired, I tediously build up my compost pile and I wish for rain to fill up my rain barrel. What for you may ask..... for this!!!

SUGAR 1000'S

AMISH PASTE TOMATOES

The Amish paste tomatoes are the best tomatoes for making sauce that I have ever found. My neighbor germinates these each year, and gives me a plant. They have a pink flesh, very meaty and oh so yummy! Thank you David!

What garden wouldn't be complete without a few helpers! Boo and Angel are our Kidcats! They love being outside, watching the birds, chasing butterflies, chasing leaves (Boo's favorite-she will bring me at least 1 leaf a day, bite marks present and look what I brought you meows to go with it).
