Thoughts

• The Dodgers are once again the best team in baseball and will be the only 100-win team.
• I don’t know what to make of the AL East. I think one of the three teams to make the playoffs from the division last year fall short this year. I’m going with a Toronto World Series hangover.
• The Mariners are the clear frontrunner in the AL West. I always want to bet on the stars in Texas, but the depth is rough.
• The Braves are fading as a contender, and I think the Phillies start to fade but still have enough to make the playoffs this season. Marlins are on the ascent.
• The Royals are my vote for most surprising team. Tigers are still the division frontrunner.
• I’m glad the Pirates actually spent money this offseason, but that defense is rough. Konnor Griffin will be a star though.
