Hybrid cars seem to be the in thing now especially the constant hike in petrol prices. Toyota with its Prius and Honda successfully launched their Insight with popular demand. Now, we look at the luxury section of the hybrid category by Lexus. The new CT-200h 4 doors hatchback.

The blue colour inside the logo symbolize the hybrid energy that run on this vehicle. This vehicle comes with daylight LED located inside the headlamps.

The rear design I feel may have some Toyota Caldina feeling of sportiness. What do you think?

The rear diffuser under the rear bumper part of the aerodynamic that allowed this vehicle to run at 33km/liter. A slightly higher consumption than the Prius that claimed to run at around 40km/liter

The interior is a killer. First of all the all black approach which is to my preference and also the luxury feeling of high quality leather finishing. Love it.

The interior similar to a fighter plane cockpit. High tech stuff.

The blue or red colour indicator on top of the speedometer will indicate the driving situation whether in fuel saving or power mode. A cool function for drivers.

From far the new perodua Myvi don't seem much different from the old production.

First visible difference is that the headlamps not as sharp as the old version and the projector light comes standard.

The side mirror signal indicator seem to follow the volkwagen design that placed at the bottom of the mirror.

Not much difference at the rear.

The new myvi dashboard similar to the alza.

Well much improved than the old version

A two tone interior colour scheme. This is the standard version and the premium version do come with the whole black interior scheme.

The premium version will come with bodykit and spoiler. However the premium version will not come cheap at Rm57,400. For that price, in my opinion the 1.5 litre Alza will be a better choice.

Being quite a while never blog about cars and other things. Anyway, the car market is hotting up with 2 new launches which are the New Perodua Myvi and the awaited 2011 Kia Sportage.

This lovely banner caught my eye while I walking up the stairs to the showroom. The orange colour Kia Sportage really stand out.

Like the banner wrote "Impressive". The new design concept from Kia bring freshness to the car industry and got the European styling look.

I like the chrome door handle. A standard now for Korean cars but Japanese and European cars not really into this styling.

The dashboard look reasonable. Equipped with dual zone aircon and push start button.

Black interior. Timeless.

18" alloy wheel with Hankook tires.

Very stylish design.

Keyless entry.

Side mirror signal indicator.

The panaramic sunroof will get you a nice sun tan inside the car.

LED daytime running light. A must have for luxury car now.

Very impressive boot space. At least can accomodate 2 golf bags.

The very agressive signature Kia grill.

The rear passenger not forgotten with some nice features to have.

Testing out the rear view camera. The monitor located at the left hand side of the rear view mirror.

LED brake lights.

Verdict: With the price tag of Rm138,888 and 5 years warranty, I believed the Kia Sportage is really value for money compare with similar range like the Honda CRV and Nissan X-Trail. Waiting time around 3 months so faster book now if you want to drive this baby around.

A trip to nowhere bring me to this Carey Island situated around 10km from Jenjarom. The journey thru a quiet road with oil palm plantations and bio diesel factory along the road. Carey Island actually separated from the main land by the Langat river. Not a very popular place for beach goers as maybe the beach is quite rocky in nature. Many mobile hawkers around for hungry food craze Malaysian.

Very rocky surface, not suitable for children to play.

Low tide.

Very hot day to come to the beach. I don't recommend swimming coz the water don't seem clean.

My male model for the day not knowing being watch from far. He seem to be looking for some treasure on the ground.

We just like a small sand in the universe. So small and insignificant.

My First Bangkok Trip - Part 1

Reach KLIA around 2pm to catch the KL-BKK flight on Malaysian Airlines at 3.45pm.

The check in counter is not crowded which is a good sign.

I like these aircraft models.

The aerotrain still in service when i went to Bangkok but now should be temporary suspended for upgrade.

I took a taxi from the airport. Just tell the lady at the stands where you going in english and she will translate and informed the driver. Most of the drivers don't speak english.

Today got a waterski and wakeboard championship held at the Putrajaya Water Sports Complex.

I never being to this place but the view is simply stunning.

Opposite the Sports Complex is the Pullman Lakeside Resort. A very lovely place.

This sports complex very similar looking to the Burj Al Arab Hotel at Dubai.

At the Mid Valley Convention Centre and stop by and have a look at the Teen Fest 2K event held there.

The star studded celebrity for the event include the Hong Kong megastar Ekin Cheng from the movie Storm Warriors.

The Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Koperasi Dan Kepenggunaan is also having Kempen Cegah Cetak Rompak and Jualan Barangan Ori beside the Teen Fest event.

Many online game developers setting up their booth at the Teen Fest.

The New Mitsubishi ASX Review

Mitsubishi need some new injection for their passenger car section since the launch of the Proton Inspira and therefore the newly launched Mitsubishi ASX add up to the line of vehicles they have for sale in Malaysia. First impression, the ASX have the features of the lancer especially for the signature front grill.

I like the interior with full black design. Very classy and of course very durable for long term use.

Black nappa leather.

The finishing on the door control panel was tastefully done.

One thing not quite right with the ASX is the size of the rim. Seem too small for this kind of vehicle especially for Mitshubishi.

No HID.

The pearl white with body kit is very tempting.

The sports edition come with chrome side signal light cover.

In short, not much to talk about for the new ASX but it add an extra choice for the Malaysia consumer when buying a new car. The talk of the town now still the Proton Inspira with its very affordable pricing.

Excited to hear that Proton already launched their new Proton Inspira ( aka Mitsubishi Lancer copy ). I dropped by the Puchong Proton showroom and already there are mountain of people catching their sights at the hot new Proton Inspira. At first, I warmed up my excitment with a 1.8 CVT maroon colour Proton Inspira parking outside the showroom. My first impression was that the front bumper design not as agressive and appealing as the Lancer GT.

The rear not much difference from the Lancer.

The vehicle come with Continental ContiComfort 205/60R16. Looking at the size of the tyre, Proton going for comfort with this vehicle.

Inside the showroom is the 2.0GT version. It comes with leather seat, body kit and spoiler.

Almost identical with the lancer. Direct copycat.

The 2.0 aluminium MIVEC engine.

Many buttons to play with.

This photo demonstrate the Inspira boot space. Personally nothing to shout about as this more to a performance car than a family car.

One thing I will consider to modify is the front bumper to make it more agressive look.

A must change for the car fanatic. The rear light with LED. Cool looking. In conclusion, I believe the price for Inspira is fantastic and it certainly hot up the local car market and also the acessories for those modify car craze people.

The swiftlets industry is a billion ringgit industry and the government is pushing to grow this industry by giving out grants and incentives for people to venture it. If you thinking of venturing into this industry, the following info maybe useful for you.

I happened to visit my friend who is currently constructing a bird house near Gombak. The above picture indicate the entry and exit point into the house for the swiftlets. Speakers will be set up at the entry point to attact the birds into the house.

The above is the meranti wood planks for the swiftlets to nest on. These planks will be full of bird nest after a few years time.

This is the meranti wood with horizontal lines for the ease of the swiftlets to hold on.

This is the entry points view from inside the house. You can see some speakers already set up on top of the hole.

This is the second entry point connecting the roving area where the first entry is located.

The pvc pipe is for ventilation and for some lighting from outside.

No stairs built to enter the bird house for security purpose and you can enter only by ladder. Quite scary looking below. This is my first time visiting a bird house and truly an eye opener and hopefully can visit more bird house to broaden my knowledge.

The festival Of Wings or Pesta Sayap held at the Kapar Ash Pond on the 23 -24 October 2010. This is the yearly event as the Kapar Ash Pond will be open to public for the viewing of migratory birds. The person in charge commented that in future this ash pond will not be suitable for the migratory birds as the power plant may opted for another technology to dispose the ashes which will not be suitable for the birds to live in.

The Kelab Pencinta Alam Malaysia set up these telescope for the visitors easy viewing of the migratory birds.

Masjid Selat Melaka, is a mosque on the man-made island of Pulau Melaka near Malacca Town in Malacca state, Malaysia. It looks like a floating structure if the water level is high. Construction cost of the mosque is about MYR10 million. The Opening Ceremony was done in 24 November 2006 by the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia ( Yang di-Pertuan Agong) Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail.

Built in 1748, the Kampung Kling Mosque along Jalan Tukang Emas in Malacca is among the oldest mosques in Malaysia. It is located on the corner of Jalan Hang Lekiu and Jalan Tokong, or Temple Street, in Malacca. All the major faiths in Malaysia are represented along this road. In addition to the Kampung Kling Mosque, the Cheng Hoon Teng Chinese Temple and the Sri Poyyatha Vinayagar Moorthi Temple are also along Jalan Tokong.

On my way walking to Cheng Hoon Teng Temple saw this trishaw carrying 2 tourist to the temple.

Many art galleries and antique shops along the road.

This fishing location not too hard to find, just search for the famous landmark Desa Water Park.

Arrived at the parking at Resort World Sentosa, it took some time to find a parking as the place almost packed.

Need to hitch a ride on this vehicle to the entrance as the parking area is huge and took a while to go on foot.

The ticketing booth all closed for the day as all the tickets already sold out. Tickets to the theme park starts from SGD32 for senior citizens, children at SGD48 while adults cost at SGD66 for a 1 day pass . You can book online at http://www.rwsentosa.com/ to avoid disappointment especially during weekends and public holidays.

This is the Universal Studios mini town. You can view this from the entrance to the theme park.

Many years never being to Singapore already. This time went to Singapore to do some work and managed to do some sightseeing of the new attractions at Singapore which is the new Marina Bay Sands Hotel. The hotel situated at the Marina Bay area with other famous attractions like the Esplanade and the Singapore Flyer.

On the left side is the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and on the right side is the convention centre and shopping complex.

The ERP system which is like the toll at Malaysia.

On top of the hotel is the Sky Park on the 57th floor. You can catch the best view of the bay area there.

The Marina Bay area will be hosting the Formula 1 night racing on the end of September. Air Asia is the official sponsor of the Williams Formula 1 team they organised a competition in accordance with the event.

A Visit To Kluang Coffee Powder Factory

Everytime I went to Kluang I would buy the local famous produce the Kluang "cap television" coffee. Normally I would buy from the specialty shop at the town but this time I went to the factory to get the fresher out of factory coffee. The factory is not far from the town and you can smell the aroma of the coffee once you step out of the car.

I think this is the packaging area. You can see this when enter from the main door.

The retail shop just at the side of the entrance. Many types of coffee available at the shelves.
