Hey friends! I promised you I will come back and so here I am.

It's been quite a looonngggg while since I last updated this. There have been a lot of changes in my life since I left this site. I'm at a loss for words while writing this post haha. I don't know how to start a blog article anymore.

Actually I was never really away from the online world since I started using my own domain when I left this and partly concentrated on making business online. But that blog was created for occasional updates, and right now it's on a silent hiatus haha.

Maybe I won't still be able to update this like what I used to back in the days, but I will at least try once in a while to post something worth the long wait.

I already left the world of photography, so I'm thinking of creating a new one but I discarded that idea. So I guess the Life In Lenses you once knew will now become Life In Random haha.

Weee, our next theme is Duochromatic Photography. Yes, its actually a kind of color minimalism wherein the photo makes use of one or two (sometimes three) colors. In some cases there are more than two colors used BUT the colors must be related to each other. Example, if you have a black and white photo, its ok if it comes with gray, but not red or blue. You might be wondering what's the title all about. Haha, it's actually a song from Damien Rice. It was use in the movie "I am David." A really good song. Haha and our theme for today is water, so I bet it still has some connection.

I had a tough start for the week. It all started with the Bb. Pilipinas event. Haha, I watched the event live last Sunday and I was like hitting myself, literally, to see if I am not dreaming. It was already 1am. And Janina San Miguel kept me awake all night, lol! Until now the thought of her still bothers me. I also did a science investigatory project for my nephew in Manila that is why I wasn't able to update for two days. :D

Photo Feed Day 55 - Conceptual Photos with Deb

So here are the results of our conceptual photography. Haha, we shared more than 10 photos but I will only present 4 from each of us. In conceptual photography, you are allowed to tweak photos as long as the concept is not change. You can enhance the color, add effects, but the idea must stay intact and the same. You are also allowed to put two pictures together to gain and apply a different environment.

Lol. Haha, the title seems very urgent. I will leave for Tacloban City tonight to attend a business symposium. But before doing so, I would like to DO something I don't usually do. I know its a waste of time but this calls for it.

I'm currently having a discussion with some callboy wannabe. No, I'm not a customer haha. I am not gay, maybe he is. It all started with... (time space warp, ngayon din!) Waatta, zaido! haha.... anyway, heres the story.

Marco Polo stumbled upon one of TheVeganPrince's post about hamsters. I don't know the details but M.P., being a not-liking-the-hamster person, let his heart out and commented "Eeeww, daga, haha." The Vegan Prince was very furious and felt insulted with the comment, thus making a hate post on his blog about the said event and posting this. (he even commented the following text to one of MP's entry)

The article was an educational resource for future owners of pet hamsters. To actually start a comment with “Eeeewww” and follow it with “DAGA” is a very mean thing to say. Especially since you ended your little unnecessary comment with “Hahahaha.”

There are some comments that we leave to ourselves, man. Just because I am vegan does not give me the right to go around the blogs of all the meat-eaters in the world and post rude comments on their blogs.

I like animals — all kinds of animals, and that is why I am vegan. If you hate animals and feel that you are above all animals (which I disagree with, by the way), you do have the option of not going to a blog that writes about them and start posting mean comments.

But then, unfortunately, after a few days of being moderated, he let others comments be published except mine. So, I, a concern citizen who responded to his inquiry if his actions were appropriate, felt betrayed for not posting my comment publicly. In turn, I repeated what I have commented for him in MP's blog.

Forgive me for interfering in your misunderstandings. But I feel the need to cut your being way too sensitive.

If you are going to post something in your blog, be sure to accept the fact that not all people will appreciate your work. Not all people love hamsters, and posting that article publicly means its already a public discussion and thus, people can comment whatever way they want.

Technically hamsters are DAGA, theres nothing to discuss about that. “Eeeww and Hahaha” are expressions alone, that manifest the persons disgust to that specific animal. However, that doesn’t make the statement rude in any form.

I know you don’t believe in the saying that “humans are the highest form of animal”, because I saw your video and said that phrase, while praising the elephants for having better memories than humans. Compare your brain to them and you’ll find the difference.

And your being vegan is not the matter here. I bet Marco Polo did not intentionally do that to hurt your ‘vegan ego’.

What really is rude and I find very offensive is doing a hate-post for someone who just commented and let his heart out. And saying “Your ignorance towards hamster is undeniable” is barely a manifestation of your lack of values. Dude, your parents will surely be upset with that.

I don’t know you. I don’t know Marco Polo either. But this is a public concern, spreading your wrath over the other and using your blog to wreck someone else’s reputation. That’s just crappy!

And you should post the original statement on each comment form, just like for example that comment that according to you is offensive. I looked at the post but theres nothing there that says “eewww, daga haha.”

I'm still puzzled why the hell did he post others comments except mine. I just want him to realize that blogging isn't about sensitiveness. Blogging isn't about making a hate-post about someone just because he commented something you didn't like. And if you asked for the opinion of the public if what you've done is right, be sure to publicize the statement.

So I went to his blog and commented again asking why he isn't posting my comments. I told him to 'publicize' my comments and I want to know why he isn't posting them. Maybe he was touched by an angel and return a comment on one of my post.

Photo Feed Day 53 - Minimalism with Deb

Me and Deb had a little photo contest again. Haha, actually its not a contest at all, its just an activity to hasten her photographic skills, and my skills as well. This time our theme was minimalism. She had a misconception at first thinking minimalism was only done in black background and even effort to do a mini studio with black clothe in her room haha. But anyway, what she did with absolute minimalism is really nice. Two thumbs up for your shots deb. I personally like the pingas na orange shot.

I showed her how to do minimalism using natural light by choosing the perfect time of the day. You can do so by taking photos on times where light is scattered equally. Usually when the sun is in its quarter positions like 9am or 3pm for clear blue skies, 5am or 5pm for gray appearing shadows, or anytime during the night for darker resolutions. In that way you can avoid using props and achieve the natural look of your minimalist photos.

Our next theme is Conceptual Photography. She is excited, pretty much as I am, for this theme is really fun to do.

Photo Feed Day 52 - I'm Back

Whoa! Finally, I manage to get back haha. I was busy for the past few days doing some very important thing. I also received my thesis grades and yey! they are all good.

I also received from my brother the photo of me and my first ever nephew that was taken in their house last Feb. 17. Actually, he the first baby in the family. Yeepee, I'm so proud that soon enough he will call me Uncle haha. Another root for the clan haha.

Remember Deb? Because she wants to learn photography by means of practical exercises, we decided that I will give her a theme for a photo every 3 days. The first theme was green. Haha, any photo that subjects on green things.

I actually like her capture. I think its better than mine when it comes to sticking around the theme haha. I bet she'll become a good photographer. She has the eye, and I don't? Haha blind, yeah I'm blind. Anyway, kudos for the photo Deb! I'm excited for our next project haha.

Folks! I am planning to hold a contest. The price would be my old Canon 20D. I want the contest to be worth the prize, and I'm having a hard time thinking what kind of contest would that be. I don't like the idea of making reviews for me because I'm not after the popularity or whatsoever in those reviews. Neither those backlinks. I am also downing those photo contest because it will limit the contest for those people alone who has a camera. I just want some fun here, no anomalies like what happened to the logo contest of the Reyna haha. So what do you think? Help me think of a better way to put this contest to reality.

The price would be my old Canon 20D for the first prize (non-transferable) , 100$ for the 2nd and 50$ for the 3rd. (changes may happen depending on my monetary needs for this week haha)

I see you

Last night, me and a friend talked about our lives and whats been happening recently. We discussed things in broad spectrum. We arrived to a topic, of which I don't want to disclose here, that made me realize I was such a lame one. and such a loser.

Haha, I admit, I'm a pessimist. I looked at things negatively so when rejection comes, it won't be hard anymore to accept it. But never did I think I'm a loser for 'such things'.

Anyway, I opted to stay a loser until I figured out how to be a winner. Sometimes we have to accept failures in order for us to grow, not in height xD. Haha, my situation now is a bit out of tune. Things are not falling into place, almost. On the lighter side, I still manage to live in an OK mode, I still eat 310++ times a day haha. My problems may not be financial, but they are pulling me down like I lost a big sum of investment haha. Its a problem only me, myself, and I, can solve. Haha.

But I want to be happy, so I decided not to think about it for the mean time. So let's be happy! Are you with me? Are you with me? Let's be happy! Hooray!

I'm off to a photoshoot today, the sun has not risen yet but I will leave you off now. Let's meet later! Sorry for being busy, I will pay you a visit soon.

I've reached my first fifty straight photo feed! Hoooray! Its an achievement because back then its really hard for me to maintain regular postings haha. It calls for a celebration, so I am treating myself out tonight. And silly me, I already bought a new cellphone but I wasn't able to buy a sim card haha. I'm restraining myself from using the cellphone until Wednesday. I need to finish 6 more photo shoots. Anyway, folks, I give you the golden sunset of Bohol!

Photo Feed Day 49 - Fresh New Morning / Bo Go Ship Da

routine

For the past few days, I have not/cannot sleep well. Perhaps, my insomnia is attacking again. I woke up at 3am, cooked, ate, and went out before 4am. It was foggy, and I like it. I miss Tagaytay badly. I miss how the fog would enveloped me every morning. I miss rolling on the grass while its still wet with morning dew. I also miss the very beautiful town of Dasmarinas. I miss how people rushed in front of Petron Gas Station or in front of the Immaculate Concepcion Church and wait for the bus bound to Lawton or Cubao. TRIVIA: Almost 70% of Caviteños work outside Cavite, most of them worked in Manila. Dasmariñas, despite being the richest town of the province, still manages to preserve its natural beauty. That is one thing I love about it, the balance between the industrial and agricultural economy.

I also miss Manila. I miss being in my home, running from the 13th floor down to the ground whenever the elevator is inaccessible. I love how the employees greet me, how the street children of Taft Avenue give their priceless smiles whenever I treat them to Jollibee in U.N Avenue, and how the manager shook his head because of the kids' torn dresses, intolerable smell, that is obviously not allowed in their premises. But since they knew me already, they are allowing it. I would walk from Taft to Roxas Blvd. every morning and loving the journey back home riding a Kalesa.

But most especially, I miss being in UP, in Pasig, Robinsons Metro East, Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, Cainta, simply because its her circle, her life circulates in these places. And I terribly miss her.

Just now, I felt alone. Its really hard being away from your family, your love ones and to the place/s you grew up. I'm used to having cold weathers, but this time, it went through my muscles.

TIP #3: In doing minimalism, make sure you blend the colors well, or at least make a monochromatic effect.

Music is de-stressing. If Olga's way of de-stressing is by through a mob on Monday, mine is simply listening to or playing the music. So, folks, I bring you my short but very memorable song from the all time favorite FRIENDS, I'll Be There For You originally by The Rembrandt's.

Yesterday my friend Alliana visited me and borrow something. Then she saw the guitar, sit and eventually asked me to play for her haha. Then we found ourselves singing together and finally recording haha.
I am advising you to lower your computer's volume, better if you have a headphone. This thing is scandalous haha. I am on the guitar and background (WTF! haha) and Alliana is the lead singer.
CAUTION: Might change your temper and will make you want to kill the performers haha

SALIENT FEATURES OF ELECTRIC POWER INDUSTRY REFORM ACT (EPIRA) OF 2001 (R.A. 9136)

A. Major Reforms embodied under R.A. 9136

1. Restructuring of the electricity supply industry and;

2. The Privatization of the National Power Corporation (NPC).

B. Effects of the Law:

1. Mandated Rate Reduction of 30 centavos (P 0.30) per kilowatt-hour for residential consumers upon the effectivity of the law on June 26, 2001.

2. Unbundling of Rates and functions—within sic (6) months form the effectivity of the law, the rates of NPC shall Unbundled between transmission and generation rates shall reflects the perspective costs of providing each service. In compliance to the law, PANELCO III has filed its revised rates for approval by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and expects a rate of increase in the amount of P 0.58 per kilowatt-hour.

3. Universal Charge—Within one (1) year from the affectivity of the law, a universal charge be imposed on all electricity end-users for the following reasons:

Payment for the stranded debts in excess of the amount assumed by the National Government and stranded contracts costs of NPC and the qualified stranded contract costs of distribution utilities resulting from the restructuring of the industry.
Missionary electrification;
The equalization of the taxes and royalties applied to indigenous or renewable sources of energy vis-à- vis imported energy fuels.
An environmental charge equivalent to one fourth of one centavo per kilowatt-hour (0.0025/kwh) to used solely for watershed rehabilitation and management. The fund shall be managedby NPC under existing arrangement;
A charge to account for all forms of cross subsidies for a period not exceeding three (3) years. PANELCO III was authorized to collect the sum of P 0.0193/kwh pursuant to Sec. 34 of the law and the ERC decision dated April 2, 2003 captioned as UC in the Electric Bill reflected in the bill of every consumer is P 0.0398.

4. Condemnation of Debts—From the effecivity of the law, all outstanding financial obligations of the electric cooperatives to National Electrification Administration (NEA) and other government agencies incurred as of June 26, 2001 for the purpose of financing the Rural Electrification Program Shall be assumed by the PSALM (Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation.

I've been trying a different style lately, it's called minimalism (minimalism on concept). I'll soon post a tutorial about it. I hope you appreciate the new style I will be applying on my pics for the following days.

I really can't breathe well due to these pile of junk papers that is currently occupying most of my time. I need to pass this on Monday but I have not finish even half of it. I will also be doing my photo project defense next Wednesday. This is the first, so I'm a bit nervous haha. My friend Jeon already did his defense and he was successful on it. The pressure is on me because I'm the leader of the team and I must do well.

Help help. I'm dying.

I have been busy lately, sorry. I am busy fixing this computer's video/graphics card so I can play the Valkyrie Server of Ragnarok haha.

But I'm also occupied because of the pile of paperworks in my room haha. I'm seeing the transformation of this place from an ordinary room to a junkyard landfill haha.

I will visit you tonight! Because I have no classes tomorrow haha I can sleep late.

I'm in Manila now. Though I'm happy I will be able to see Kat again, the consequence is that I lost my cellphone and my digicam. Haha I'm really a lousy one. Maybe I left it on the taxi or someone realy did stole it from me right from the airport or I don't know! wah.
