墨尔本的蓝天

经常会听到一些人说或问外国的月亮失是否特别圆？
月亮是否特别圆，我真的不知道，也没特别去研究。

但老实说墨尔本的夏季的天空是真的比吉隆破得来的蓝。
夏天最热的时候也的却比这里晒和热。

原因是否因为他们上空的大气层穿了一个洞？
这个我也不太清楚。

Is the pasture always greener the other side?
It really depends what one is looking for?

However, the blue summer sky of Melbourne city is indeed lovelier than what we see in KL city. Or perhaps I didn't look hard enough to discover that.

Langkawi: Grandma and me

This picture was taken on 9 Jan 2009 at Chenang Beach, during our first family trip to Langkawi. It was to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday which on the 6th of Jan.

It was also my first time to Langkawi.

We took a lots of pictures during this trip with 3 different cameras. This picture was taken with one of the Cyber-Shots, by my husband.

Natalie's first time to the beach. She was not thrilled by the serenity of the beach. Instead, she was shocked and scared.

A day at the outskirt of Nara

A warm breezy Sunday of June 2005. With only a map in hand, I was traveling on foot in this little town in Nara. It was a quiet little town with plenty of green. No heavy traffic and the road of quite empty, maybe it was a Sunday. And the sun was kind and gentle to me.

It's been a year since my last update in this photo blog. Simply because I kept procrastinating the scanning of the photos.

You can easily find shrines or temples almost anywhere in Japan, even in a busy city like Tokyo or Osaka. And it's not uncommon to see people to stop by at a shrine on their way home to have a quick prayer.

This picture and the next few ones were taken in this temple,飞鸟坐神社, while I was in Nara, with my F80. I've forgotten its name in Japanese(Hiragana). ;P

In Japanese, if I guess correctly, shrine for Shinto is normal called "dera". For instance, Kyomizudera/Kiyomizudera, while they also have temples for Buddhism, which is called "ji", such as Todai-ji.

Japanese in Kilt

I met him when I was visiting the Osaka Castle大阪城(Ōsaka-jō). I've never seen anyone in kilt in real life. He's so far the first. And kilt is a Scottish cultural icon. Hope one day I'll have the chance to travel to Scotland.
