The flavor my mom got me was Mixed Berry. I don't know what goodness can it give my lips but it's sure smells delicious or maybe it's because of olfaction and shiz. I don't know.

This is how the thing looks like and as you can see, it's quite pink already so it's quite obvious that you would get that pink glow it claims to give. It's moisturizing and it's really easy to apply so I'm really happy about this product.

This is how it looks like on my hand. Don't be fooled though because I applied this when I was about to go to the hospital and then when I looked at the mirror there, my lips were neon. It doesn't look like it for the first few minutes that you would apply it but really? Neon? I was like surprised because WTH? It's probably just my lips or whatever but this is intense. Now, I actually like the color it gives but it was just inappropriate that time.

You definitely can't see the neon here but this is the pink tinge it gives at first so yeah. On another note, my skin is still at its worst right now. Oh well.

Flower and Stories

It's just a lovely day today. Not so long ago, this Gumamela bloomed and we were all like excited because I don't know. I saw it in the morning when I was about to make my coffee and then when my sister saw it, she was calling us to see.

Yesterday, I went home from the hospital because I have to run errands and then I was supposed to go back at night with my uncle but then again he went with his wifey riding his bike instead of his car so I didn't go. I wasn't supposed to go there today because my mom said that she would just be the one to settle things and she just ordered me to watch over my sisters and like, make sure they eat their lunch and stuff like that. I woke up at around 8 and then I went down and left my phone charging and then when I was already playing with the dogs downstairs, our lovely maid (ate Skylove) was running and said my mama is calling so when I answered she basically said that she forgot something so she asked me to follow her there. She asked me to ride a cab but then again I don't want to spend more than what we're spending already so I took a bus and then rode a jeepney instead. I am pretty sure about the bus part because that's how we go to the mall but the jeepney part was kind of hard. It's like, I know the theory but I don't know how to apply it in real life.

My lola is at home now and I'm so happy that she's overall fine. I feel kind of bad for the person in front of my lola's bed at the female ward though because on our first night there, she approached us and talked to us and stuff so the story is that her daughter is not in the country and it's her godchildren watching her and then they were supposed to go out today as well but they don't have enough money with them there. And it's not even their fault. She have two doctors and one of them said that 50,000 pesos would be enough but when the bill came out, it's 17,000 more than what they prepared for. Also, it's Sunday and you know, NO POST ON SUNDAYS. And I doubt if there are owls who can deliver the money that quick so before we left the hospital, the grandchild was going here and there to appeal to the hospital because if they would stay, hospital is kind of a business you know and doctors are like businessmen but whatever. My point is! The hospital bill would just go up if ever the hospital or whoever would't agree for them to write a promissory note saying they would leave now and would just return and pay their balance some other day and stuff so yeah. I hope they were able to talk to whoever and that they were already discharged from the hospital. I don't know I probably wouldn't bring a lot of extra money when I'm told exactly what to prepare for.

I therefore conclude that being sick is a bitch. It ruins everything. You know, it's like investing and saving money when you're young so that you would have enough money to pay for your health when you get old. When I was talking with my cousin yesterday, we were like, let's be healthy! Let's buy a juicer, let's not eat this and let's not eat that. But then again I craved. I said let's go to Yakimix and she was like, yeah. LOL.

Urgent! But NOT SO Urgent | But Urgent Enough

My cousin was just playing around with the hospital gown and she's actually not the one hospitalized.

Spent overnight at the hospital with my cousin to watch over my lola because she wasn't feeling really good the other day. She got fever and just felt generally unwell. And then we thought that she'll start dialysis already because the agreement was that when we go to this particular hospital, she would undergo dialysis na because she need it na but then my mom and lola are still hesitant to start it because as I've told you before, once it started, there's no turning back. My mom asked the doctor if we can check the creatinine again and compare to the previous result and see whether it drastically went high or if it remained the same. It was STAT so I know that it wouldn't take too long for us to know the results. I must admit that I really got excited when I saw a tackle box containing tubes and syringes because you know, I kind of miss doing it. Anyways. When I asked the nurse on duty for the results, he willingly checked it, relayed the result to me (creatinine) and stuff and he again willingly gave to me. Awesome nurse he is. Thank you nurse! Also, except for the sometimes noisy girl nurses who are kind of irritating, I guess everyone's kind of awesome. It's really kind of difficult (somehow) to experience your relative being a patient because you know, more or less, you know what these medical practitioners are doing. Oh the dietitian was also nice and she explained and answered almost everything my mom and lola asked and then she was asking some questions to us to before she explain stuff and then of course not bragging or anything but I would answer and then she would be like, are you a valedictorian? And I was like, I'm a med-tech and she was like, OH. Funny. Maybe I look like a freshie or something

Her potassium level is right at the middle of the normal range so that's really nice. And even though it went down, which is kind of nice, her creatinine is still sky high. I really hope it would go down. Like, please? I found out that there are four priorities in dialysis. A being the most urgent and D being the least. My grandmother as you may have seen in the collage above is at priority B. Since we're kind of delaying the dialysis process, I hope it (crea) would go down the level her body is okay with.

Moving right along, I generally like it in that hospital. Although it really took us a little bit too long waiting outside the admission room because we were waiting for a vacant semi private room (as requested by her physician) but it turned out that there's no one going out so we have no choice and my grandma was admitted in a 6 bed female ward which is kind of small with one hospital bed and a long couch sort of but it's really nothing like the two hospitals I interned. It's enclosed with curtains which gave us a little privacy but then again the other patients and their relatives are noisy so it's kind of annoying, really. But interesting at the same because you know! If you're talking loud enough, then you're letting us hear it so my cousin and I were like eavesdropping to death. And laughing to death if I may add. I feel bad for my lola for hearing not so good stuff though. Losing hope, and stuff like that.

Can I just say though that particular hospital is kind of a complicated place and there's so many bridges and stuff like that so it's kind of tiring going in and out the hospital. Also my cousin weren't able to sleep until about 3 am. NOT ME! Since I'm an expert sleeper in awkward positions, I was able to take 3 short short naps on the couch and then I was able to sleep 6 hours straight beside my lola because I'm a pro like that. I feel sorry for my cousin because at around 1 am, I guess. She asked me if I'm using the blanket because that place is really mad cold at night and then I answered ALL THE TIME. And then she fell silent. Why though? Are they trying to inactivate the viruses or what? My lola is feeling okay now which is a good sign. I just hope she would stay that way. She'll go out of the hospital tomorrow. I'm home now but maybe I'll go back laters. Good vibes! :)

Six Degrees of Separation

I'm pretty sure I told you how I like to listen to The Script so let's just skip that part for now. They have a song called Six Degrees of Separation and I decided to kind of find an appropriate picture to describe the song sort of. Play the song somewhere if you could.

FIRST, YOU THINK THE WORST IS A BROKEN HEART

For me, this is the worst stage so I really agree with The Script there. This is also what will kill you emotionally. Or maybe that's the second. I don't know. Because I'm pretty sure that these two are partners at some point.

WHAT'S GONNA KILL YOU IS THE SECOND PART

This is a stupid thing to do over someone because come on! Trying to end your life for someone who doesn't even care makes no sense. Just get over it. Or at least the killing part. I'm pretty sure that in the song, they didn't mean killing as in its literal meaning but I just want to let that one out because it's what the picture depicts. So yeah. WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT TO YOURSELF?

AND THE THIRD, IS WHEN YOUR WORLD SPLITS DOWN THE MIDDLE

We don't live in a perfect world with a perfect heart shape like that but you know, shit happens and sabi nga nila sa Filipino, una-una lang yan. No idea too!

That's the spirit! It's all in the mind. Although you might not be fully healed yet, at least you're making an effort. Somehow. You know, that too shall pass! Maybe not today, tomorrow, this week, next week, or this month even but if you'll let it be, you'll be okay.

FIFTH, YOU SEE THEM OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE

This is what I call the make it or break it stage. It's either you be happy that she's with someone else or be sad that she's with someone else. Third wheel thing is kind of a different story but that's kind of applicable as well. If you didn't break up or something and this happened, goodness gracious! Good luck.

AND THE SIXTH, IS WHEN YOU ADMIT THAT YOU MAY HAVE MESSED UP A LITTLE

This is actually a sad song in general but then again after the sixth degree, you move on to the seventh which is to accept the cruel reality of life and make yourself happy because you deserve it. If you're the one who messed things up, then at some point, you probably deserve to be happy too but I'm not sure. Just kidding! You know, you hopefully picked up something from your mistake and make it right next time. That's all! Good vibes.

DIY Green Tea Face Mask

For some reason, I think my sister's watching too much YouTube Tutorials and she's been making different masks and stuff like that so I decided to join her little party because my skin is really being a bad bish right now. I don't know if I told you guys about this already because with 478 posts, I don't know what's going on already so yeah. Okay, as I was saying, I break out (as in break out) once a year so that time is now. and when my skin is extra greedy, I would break out twice so hopefully this would be it na for this year.

1. You have to have green tea leaves and what you can do is that you can prepare yourself a cup of tea and then after you do so, do not throw the leaves because that's what you'll be working on.

2. Just add a liberal amount of sugar. It actually depends on how gritty you want your mask to be. The more sugar you put, the rougher the mask would be so if you want to exfoliate big time, then add a lot!

3. Add honey. It has moisturizing property and it'll make your concoction pasty which will make it easier to apply onto yer face.

4. Mix all the ingredients until you somehow see that it's looking like this. There might be too much honey in this picture but never mind! Also, it'll be very nice if your tea leaves are finer than this because it's rather difficult to apply. Sort of.

5. Apply evenly and leave for five minutes. Or at least that's how long we waited before rinsing this out.

GRAYISH BAY

We actually decided to stop by because our reservation is at 6 pm and we kind of left the house earlier than we should be so I guess it's a WIN-WIN situation. What I think about the Manila Bay now, you ask? It's still hella dirty and I don't know whether or not it will be better than that but then again, it kind of improved its situation comparing it from the last time I visited.

The smell of the bay is still horrible and not suitable but again, I don't know if that's even what they have to deal with but with a clean bay, it would follow, yeah?

Dear Juliet

I watched Letters to Juliet awhile ago because not so long ago, I've searched for movies set in Europe and this is one of the recommendations. Totally out of the topic (as always) but I've watched Bourne Legacy, LOL, Under the Tuscan Sun, Midnight in Paris, When in Rome, 2 Days in Paris, Monte Carlo, and Leters to Juliet from that recommendation thingy. I may have missed one or two but it doesn't matter. This particular movie is kind of a little bit cheesy for me but considering that I searched to kind of see Europe, this one's nice. As a side note, I'd like to work as one of Juliet's secretaries. I think I would have fun writing letters to people. I just like the whole idea of it but I'm not really sure whether or not I'm Juliet enough to write them back or something but who cares? I figured I like writing.

Also! I don't believe the Sophie and the guy's love because come on! I mean, seriously? It all happened too soon. Like, 3 days? I don't even know! I feel sorry for Victor but Sophie has a point for breaking up and he weren't exactly NA-JANINE TUGONON because really, if you'll go on a pre-honeymoon or pre-moon whatever, I think it's not quite right to be okay spending it on your own way. The two of you should always want to be with each other. Duh? But kudos to Victor for accepting the fact that sometimes, shit happens.

By the way, here's a postcard update. I feel bad for not having the time to write to my postcard exchange mates because of internship and stuff so I'll probably play catch up these coming days or weeks or whatever. Thank you guys! :)

I Hate Elections

As much as I find the election enticing, I just can't control myself and notice the effery going on.

First of all, let's talk about the campaign materials. I really don't mind if it's something very useful to the whole human population such as umbrella, T-shirt, ballpen, and other stuff which we can use in our everyday lives but for some reason, these politicians cannot comprehend that having paper as their material will just pollute the environment! And then their campaign would involve something like cleaning the environment or something like that. Good for them! CLEAN AS YOU GO! I always say that we should always start with ourselves. So tadah! This is what the front of our house looks like.

IS IT FIESTA TIME OR WHAT?

Are you effing serious about this thing, guys? WHAT A WASTE OF RESOURCES! My mom was literally guarding over this last night because these hanging thing actually happens at night and in the morning, you'll get surprised on how many new posters are hanging and serving its purpose as an eyesore. I kind of feel sorry for whoever the winners would be because they have no choice but to have this mess cleaned because let's face it! The losers wouldn't give a shiz about this anymore. So yeah.

Also! On the day of the election itself, which is now, a lot of children were "employed" to give out flyers of these filthy candidates. Like, I don't know whether someone of legal age was hired and for some reason, ordered these children because their lazy arse cannot function so yeah. I'm pretty sure these is illegal but anyways.

Can I just say that I was like feeling fly when I'm entering the place for voting? It feels something like "I own you, bitch!" It feels liberating and when you're done, it feels like you did something good. Although I really enjoyed judging people's decision as I watched the votes go up live on TV last election. That's all! :)

Drug Store Hair Products

I'm actually a sucker for hair products because without a help from such, my hair is dead. My hair is pretty much on life support to be honest. And to be honest once again, I don't think going to the salon once or twice a month would really do anything so these products having the price of one salon session or even less, I thought I'd give it a go.

MAKES HAIR SMOOTH AND SHINY

FOR DRY HAIR AND SCALP

I bought them at Watson's and they actually have a different set of hair treatment there but I already finished a bottle of that without actually seeing any difference so it's probably my hair or maybe that really is just another hair product. But I'm not gonna talk about that stuff, yeah? The Keratin Hot Oil Cream sounds really promising so I hope it won't let me down. I actually started using the Keratin one and I also asked my sister to try it and it was actually good but using a product once or twice wouldn't really be fair so I'll just keep using it!

COCOMILK'S CONSISTENCY

I don't know if it's just me or maybe because I'm watching too much YouTube beauty gurus but the consistency is quite thick so maybe that would do something to my hair. And they smell quite good. I'm just happy that it doesn't smell much of an artificial fragrance but rather some chemicals. Nah, just kidding!

And if all else fails, I would just make a concoction and mix these two there and then it would do the job! :)

The Love of my Life!

The way I remember celebrating Mother's Day is this. We will go to Takaraya with dad and that we will buy her pink and red carnations. She would always put the flowers in a flower vase and she would always change the water in it everyday. And then my sisters would draw my mom in a piece of paper provided by the said store and they would submit it back. In exchange, the mart would give them goodies. And then when we would go to the mart, we would always locate their drawings. At night, we would go out and eat!

Today, it seems like the tradition changed. But for me it's actually for the better. Because now, I know better why we celebrate this beautiful event. Somehow.

And for all the sacrifices that my mom did and will do for me, here's my message.

Thank you mom for carrying me in your womb. That nine months when you probably can't decide which side of the bed to face. That nine months when you have no choice but to eat a lot and put on weight. Thank you mom for giving the privilege to see the world! Thank you mom for letting me study elementary and high school even though I know it's more of my right as a child. Thank you for always giving me "baon" so I would never get hungry at school. Thank you mom for giving me the opportunity to study in a prestigious university in college. I always told you how I wanted to finish college and have a degree and you believed in me! I know deep down, you did! Thank you for attending my graduation ceremony, I told you how long it would be but you didn't mind. Thank you so much! I couldn't be any happier being accompanied by you.

Thank you for every thing mama! :) Don't worry about me mama! I know I'll be a good (not perfect) child. Because you're showing me how to be by being a good child to lola.

Finite Incantatem | Election May 2013

Who to vote? Just a quick note that this post will be lengthy and I would totally understand if you won't read this post. I just have to have it here. After spell checking and add whatever to this shiz maybe twice, I don't know if I would reread it again myself anytime soon anyways.

I told you in my previous update that I would be voting this May 2013 Election. And since I don't really know all of my candidates, I then find it really improper for me to just go there and shade blindly. But that's really how it worked for me for the past 4 years of my college life. But anyways. It's actually good that I visited COMELEC'S website few days ago because for some reason, it's UNDER CONSTRUCTION now.

I can't really understand some of the aspiring politicians because for some reason, they're all kind of the same for me. At some point. FOR THE POOR. But thinking about it, it's like abandoning those who are a little or totally above that status. It's unfair. Philippines is not all about the poor! The poor are poor because most of them don't know how to help themselves. We may be under a bad government, yes! But it's not only because of bad governance. These people I'm talking about are not gonna do anything new, in my opinion. You know, they're just gonna wait for these politicians grace and conclude that THE PHILIPPINES is full of poor people. See, what will happen? They're gonna elect these politicians and expect a dramatic change two days after the election. And then they will conclude. Seriously, people? If you're a professional living in the Philippines, CLICK!

Maybe this post is more about why most of the Filipinos are poor but let's just jump right through it. I think that the change should really start from within. Each Barangay, and stuff! I'm lucky because I think our Barangay is doing good so far. We have a little Health Center which gives out Medicine to people in need and generally speaking, I think our Barangay is peaceful. Kind of. I mean, what else do I have demand for a Barangay, right? Although I really find it annoying when there's like an event and they're all noisy and stuff and also, I hate it when they promote a politician. Okay.

Now let's just talk about who to vote? I'm really not sure about the others but I will keep an eye on the INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES. Except that woman who bragged about her children. Ever since I was given the privilege to elect someone in position, I always voted for these brave souls. It's kind of a bigger deal before when I was still a student because now, I don't think they're as independent as the students anymore. They can hire people! Now, it's also nice for the candidates to have a political party because maybe they are really determined to work together and stuff but sometimes I think they're just sticking to a political party so that they can have a better chance of winning. The thing is I don't really trust political parties. Because it's nice if all of them get the position but what if one of them did not make it? What will happen to that position? MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, it will be filled up by the OPPOSITION TEAM. Mmm...

Also! I'm keeping an eye on those people who I haven't heard before. I think they can do it better than those who have been "serving" for quite a while now. Because they have yet to prove something so they can't be all rubbish and stuff. Also! I don't think I would like to elect those who have annoying jingles that I hear everyday because if you're running for a position, you should think of the welfare of your countrymen, not yourself! And you should be at least considerate not to wake up people very early in the morning by your loud stupid jingle!

What I think The Philippines lack is a system. SYSTEM! Big word! Let's just set my own experience as an example. In front of SM City San Lazaro, there are a lot of tricycle drivers shouting and bothering people as they go out from the mall and asking them whether or not they would like to ride. I'm really annoyed that I even complained to my cousin, best friends, and my sisters. They would even go in front of people and ask if they want a lift. The problem is they are everywhere and if you'll just try and experience this every time, you would be pissed too. This happened to me many many times and just awhile ago actually. And even though it's inconvenient for me, I went to the legal line and rode there. I'm not trying to be a hero here but if we do have a system like that, we might have a shot. It's the simple things!

By the way, can we abstain? Because I really want to vote for some officials but there are certain positions that I really don't trust any of the candidates at all. Oh well. That's all!

Harry Potter Love | Sirius Black.

If you don't know already, I am obsessed with Harry Potter. J.K. should probably make things up to keep us all entertained! :) Okay so I found this on Tumblr and I was amazed. Awesome stuff! :) It's called Hogwarts Houses and Landscapes for the obvious reason so I won't be discussing that anymore.

I know a Hufflepuff as well and she's like the queen of the martys if you ask me. I was actually supposed to blog about her stupid journey but I guess I should just shut my mouth and keep things to myself but then my silence doesn't mean that I would just forget the story. I will tell you guys some other time.

Now to my Slytherin friends, can I just say that I miss you guys! That's actually my best friend and my cousin. Hang out soon.

And lastly, Gryffindor! I know two Gryffs actually. Myself and my other self! I told you before that I signed up for Pottermore using my other e-mail address and I did that because I'm pretty sure I did something wrong on my first try and stuff but apparently, I'm really a Gryffindor. So that's me and my ego probably. It seems like it's possible to be friends with SLYTHERINS.

Just a little bit of update guys! :)

Look! This came in not so long ago and I can't help but to be proud of myself for being able to accomplish such! It was not an easy road so I'm really happy that I've made it! And I have the proof! I know I've described my college journey as such million times already so excuse if I'm being redundant. Although I don't think I would be doing med tech stuff yet but I'm just happy that I have a good and reliable plan B (B for back up plan).

I know I should have watched some of the TV shows that featured the candidates but then again, I realized I didn't really miss anything. Because if I would be running for a position, I wouldn't say rubbish things on national television. So I will just do my own research and hopefully I would be able to vote the right persons. I Got It From My Momma

If you're like me that is too lazy to restock all the things you have to restock until you run out of it and most probably, your awesome mom would do the job for you, then we must change soon! But now, I just want to show you guys what my mom gave me. Because she's awesome like that. Also, doing this haul makes me m̶o̶r̶e̶ organized so I MUST! If your mom is like that, congrats! If not, congrats as well.

This is random so I put them all together. I got two foot socks that I probably won't be using as much considering I won't be wearing school shoes anymore but I promise to wear them on my MTLEX. That will go for 2 days so yay!

I don't know why I got two sample size perfumes but I hope they're good so I would be able to use them both! :) Or I'll probably just give it to my cousin because her sense of smell is weird like that! :D

So far I'm loving the smell but I don't know. I'm actually liking the idea of having many sample bottles now because in the future, I want to have a permanent scent or maybe two so having many samples would really help me choose.

Snacks! I like the idea that I have almonds so after I eat these stuff, I could just eat my almonds and not feel guilty. Except of course the gums and the candies because I really don't like them and i just eat them when I feel like it so yeah.

Green Tea Kit-Kat! I swear by it. Actually it's one of the two things I asked my mom to buy me. Because I love it like that.

The other thing I asked my mom to buy me is a tinted lip balm because I don't know I feel like I haven't found the right one for me yet because even though I have quite a lot of it, I'm still searching for the right product or maybe I'm just a sucker for lip balms. Just like what I said before. So whatevs. Mom also got me some oil blotting papers. What are you trying to say, woman? LOL. I KNOW! :D

Beau Fleurs

I just thought that it's funny how we adore the beauty of blooming flowers and yet we often ignore where it came from. Much like the story of the Ugly Duckling, flowers undergo stages and the first stage is where it's nothing special. Often ignored, underestimated. Flowers are born to be beautiful but that first stage, most of them are ridiculed to be something ordinary. Most of the small flowers although already beautiful, fall from their stems when they're not yet ready to bloom fully. It's not that they're not deserving to bloom but sometimes the weather is just stronger than they are. Until they reach that point where they can stand-out, be themselves, and be differentiated. They might fall but they will rise again. Because the weather is not always that bad. Good vibes!

Here's to Never Growing Up

It's Children's Day in Japan today and to commemorate that, I just want to show you guys the toys I played growing up. These are the toys I used to play every day when I was still a child. I'm just thankful that I still have them now because they bring such good memories. Or not. But anyways.

Lovely lovely toys. Okay so in The Philippines, about 7 years ago, we actually had our house renovated and we had to transfer to a nearby apartment because we can't stay in our house while it's being renovated, yeah? Duh, Mikie! :D

Anyways before we transferred to that apartment, we had to dispose of things we don't need anymore and some of it were given to our other relatives and other people as well because the apartment is kind of smaller than the house so yeah my mom asked me the most important and difficult question to me back then. "WHAT WILL WE DO WITH YOUR TOYS?" I think I was already in second year high school that time so just imagine! I then asked her to do whatever she wants with my other toys but I told her I might select a few for me to keep. And she was like, "HINDI KA NA BATA." Whatever. But what can she do? Just kidding! :) So that happened. I can't remember exactly if these are all that I selected back then but these are what I still have right now. Let's have a closer look!

This is probably the biggest toy I own. I got this when I was still 5, I believe. Which is like confusing because mom sent this to the Philippines from Japan but then I think I was in the Philippines just for vacation that time so I wasn't really able to play with it that long so yeah. And it's just too big to play with so its purpose was to be a display at the top of my auntie's cabinet. Which is by the way still not in The Philippines up to this time so why does she have a cabinet again? Mysteries of life.

And this is Baby Olga. For some reason, I don't really name my toys so whatever their name is when I got them, that's gonna be their name. I remember asking my mom to buy me this and I believe I got this one for my birthday or something so yeah. This one actually feeds on her bottle and her cherry can but I don't really know where that devices went so yeah. Her eyes reminds me of grav3yardgirl. Scary but gorgeous!

Can we just stop for a while and appreciate this doll's beauty? If you know Little Princess, yeah! This is like why I love this doll. She's just so priceless. I can't even.

Me likey! :) Look at those lashes, girl! Oh and it blinks too. You know what I'm talking about.

Now this is serious stuff right here. This is LICCA. My favorite toy ever. And yes, she's LICCA, not Barbie. This one too is from Japan and this was sent by mom together with another LICCA which I gave to my cousin but she lost it na so whatevs. This is actually not the dress she came with but it was like school uniform-ish so I changed it to a wedding dress and after a while, I was like, you're too young to get married, girl! So I changed it to this pink dress.

I used to have more than I think 5 Barbie's but I keep coming back to this because what I actually like about Licca is that she looks classy, not slutty. I'm just saying. Anyways, Happy Children's Day. I wish I could still ask for cakes from neighbors but nah. Have a good day! :)

Life Crisis. Sort of.

Awhile ago, while watching a morning show, they discussed something that I think I really needed. Basically, it's about being young and doing all the things that you can do while you're still young. But of course those are elites so it's really a different story. But anyways, it's somehow the same story. Whut?

The girls there are already in their mid twenties and early thirties and even though they have already traveled to many places, they still have a lot of places in mind that they want to go to. And one of them said that while she's young, she want to go sky diving, and stuff like that and then the host said that she don't want to sky dive because she's thinking of the welfare of her kids and all that mental stuff which is probably hard to avoid thinking so I say maybe it's really ideal for people to have fun while they still don't have to think of stuff like that. That is not of course to say that people with kids can't have fun. You could totally do that. I'm just saying that there are some people that kind of thinks of other people's welfare such as their offspring or any family members and somehow that stops them from having fun. Or things that they could have done without those thoughts they have in mind. Except my mom though. She's not afraid for us. Na-ah! She's afraid for herself so whatever.

Another thing they talked about was how do they see themselves 9 years from now and one of them answered that when she was 20 or 21 (my age) she had a vision board and envisioned herself to be like this and that and now that she's 26, she can't seem to see a clear vision of where she's going from there. And the older lady told her that planning your life when you're just in your 20's is not the best way to do because you're still young and you should just enjoy the things that are happening as of the moment and that made me think a little bit because lately, I'm feeling kind of lost and I'm in that stage where I don't know exactly what I'm doing or where I'm going. Some of my batch mates are just waiting for the opening of the school year because they already applied for MED SCHOOL and some are in REVIEW CENTERS preparing for the board examination but there are some who are like me that are still trying to figure things out but anyways. Hearing from them makes me feel good. I know I shouldn't just let things be as they are though. I know I have to do something to make something work for me and stuff but whenever I try to do that, I tend to breakdown a little bit. Not breakdown as in breakdown but something like that. It's just that, things are a little complicated to comprehend. Oh well. I will be attending a review center in a month so maybe I would be able to divert my attention from my over thinking sessions to that. I got this. Hopefully.

Anyways, just some update from my not so interesting life, I still haven't got my diploma which sucks because some of my batch mates already got theirs and some of those who got theirs already live nearby so what up? Also, my Candy Crush is just so devastating because I can't move on and I'm stuck at Level 65 for I don't know! 2 weeks? Life. I hope you guys are well though.

Random is the Name of the Game

I just want to share with you 5 random things about me. I was actually supposed to name it 'facts' instead of 'things' but fact is just a strong word. I think this would be a good reference 1 or 2 years from now because circumstances change. Who knows?

As of the moment,

1. Miranda Kerr is my all time favorite Victoria Secret's Angel. I don't know but we can't deny that she's way too angelic and charming.

OH MIRANDA, WHY SO PRETTY?

2. As much as they look good on photos, I don't really find candy sprinkled anything appetizing. It freaks me out actually. It's probably just my teeth but I feel like there's too much friction happening inside my mouth whenever I would eat candy or choco sprinkles. Definitely not for me. And unless they're melted, I don't like chocolate chips/kisses as well.

3. Green tea flavored anything is my favorite flavor. Name it! I generally don't like it when people use #FOODPORN on their Instagram pictures but this is just the perfect picture to hash tag that.

4. I used to be obsessed with korean bands and shows but now, not as much. In line with that, I've been listening to The Script way too much.

5. I watched all Pirates of the Caribbean and I even watched some of it twice or something but I can't remember any significant story that happened in any of the movies. Oh well.

So that's it guys. I hope there's nothing I said above that you know already and I hope you guys know me a little bit better now. :) By the way I got all these pictures from We Heart It and I'm pretty sure they got these from Tumblr which they got from somewhere as well so yeah credit where credit's due! :)

Fabulous Hashi

One fine day, I just decided to take pictures with Hashi and she was like, not me lady! I got things to do! LOL.

<3 Smooches! She's so sweet! I think there's really a big difference between a female and a male pet. The females are just adorbs. Even her mum is sweet. My Shiki is also sweet but I don't know. I just think that Hashi is sweeter. Sexist!

I got yah! And she was like, I'm gonna make these pictures look like you're not treating me well.

When she was a little younger, she would actually be really friendly to the camera but now that she grew up a little, it's a little bit harder to take pictures of her so whatever.

But you're still fabulous and glamorous! :)

One Year Ago

Exactly one year ago, most of my batch mates started their internship program. Not for my group. Lucky for us that it was our off during the first day of our first internship so yeah. But it sucked since I wasn't oriented properly so I got a DTR love note the next day but anyways. It's all part of the past na. I didn't realize this until our second internship but interns, demand to be oriented! Or ASK.

Since my internship started one year ago already, I thought I'd share pictures from my first internship. And some love notes.

Anyways, I hope the new interns would make the most out of their internship because the next thing they know, its all over and there's no more turning back which sucks by the way. FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

Okay so I hope an intern would be able to read this but I'm switching the persona now so whatever. INTERNS! After some time, you're gonna hate going to the hospital for duties but hey, you're gonna miss it so I can't emphasize this enough. MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT. It's not gonna last forever.

You're probably gonna loathe some of the staffs and even some of your co-interns but at the end of the day, they're just gonna be part of your whole internship experience. And you're gonna miss them! I actually don't remember hating someone so much during my internship. Well, there are few of them but nah. I'm all good now.

You're gonna hate being asked to do this and that and ward these lab results and that and extract blood from this patient and that and get this person's HGT and that and centrifuge this blood/urine/body fluids and that and identify this bacteria and that and type this and that but at the end of the day, it's quite fulfilling. The way I would like to describe it is that before internship, you're a director and it's like you have this picture and idea of a movie that you would like to direct. Come internship, it's all happening. So make your movie good!

For me, first internship is still the best! :) GOOD LUCK NEW INTERNS!

Oh Hi May

Who's Hungry? Hunger Games.

I actually don't quite get the whole idea of Hunger Games but good thing I was able to pick up some valuable lessons that I thought I'd share with you guys. I haven't read the books so this one is based on the movie alone.

Can I just say that Effie Trinket is my favorite character. If not Rue. I like how colorful she dresses and I don't know what's with her that I like but yeah. Now the reason I like Rue is because she's such a sweetheart. If I would be there in the game, I may not be able to kill my opponents intentionally but I don't think I would help them either. I would probably be friends with the guy from my district but the rule is that there could only be one victor so I don't know about that either. I HAVE TO WIN!

My sister's dilemma: Why is Prim's hair lighter? (NO IDEA)

Okay to the lessons. I was touched when Katniss volunteered to be a tribute as her sister's replacement. Just because it's such a stupid game, a child's precious life is not worth sacrificing, you know. It's such a brave act. And I was impressed. I don't know if I would able to do the same to my sisters though. I wouldn't want them to join if I could help it. Especially my sister Mika who screams a lot for little reasons nowadays. She would be a giveaway. I also appreciate when Rue's brother kind of payed respect to Katniss (somehow) by not killing her even if he could already. He's considerate like that, you know!

Oh I can actually imagine Primrose and Rue being BFFs. Weird. I was also a little bit disgusted by Peeta's mom for not believing in his son. Boo yah!

It's kind of vague that Hunger Games the movie didn't show hungry people and people that died from actual hunger. They're more like killing each other so I don't really see the point why it's called Hunger Games. I think it was mentioned in the movie once that they should just let Katniss starve and then they could easily kill her but people dying from actual hunger, nah.

You know what this movie reminds me of? SURVIVOR SERIES with killing involved. Because in Survivor, a cast would be eliminated if there would be enough people to vote him or her off, right? And how would that happen? Effing alliances and stuff. So yeah. Quite comparable. That's all I have to say. I'll probably read the book to be entertained and who knows? Maybe I would be able to understand everything a little better but I doubt.

Keep Calm

This is kind of personal but since this is my personal blog, I want this story to be here. I probably won't forget this but...just in case.

So my grandmother went to the laboratory to have her blood chemistry and blood count checked and the results are not very pleasing. Health wise. My grandmother is 64 years old and suffering from a renal disease. I remember she had a renal angiogram and angioplasty probably 10 years ago. But then that was good for a while and now doctors are telling her that her kidneys are barely functioning and that she is a candidate for dialysis and we all know it's never easy. You know that I am reviewing for the MTLEX that I would be taking this September and just a quick note, I actually reviewed my URINALYSIS AND OTHER BODY FLUIDS or what you might know as Clinical Microscopy first because I want to understand my grandmother's condition even more.

So then my grandmother asked me to go with her to her nephrologist and we kind of know that she'll be told to start dialysis already but still, it's kind of hard to accept. My grandma asked the doctor if it would be alright to do it next month but the doctor said that next month is still a long time and then my grandma asked how about next week? The doctor answered the same. My mom actually told me not to let my grandma do it yet because there's no turning back. Or if we would be very lucky, her kidneys might function normally again after some time. Hopefully. Although I know that there's really only about a small chance that this would only be a temporary thing, I want to believe.

My grandmother then asked the doctor stuff and then the doctor said that we should start dialysis as soon as possible because that would be the best thing to do with my grandma's creatinine level at 10 point something, I couldn't agree with the doctor more. I really think it would be best for us to start this dialysis right away but I don't know. And then there's another problem because apparently, the fistula that another doctor placed in her arm may not be appropriate for dialysis. And I literally had a WTF moment. Serious stuff. Who does that to their patients? My grandma told me it was checked several times and that there's no problem or anything so yeah. The doctor told us that if it wouldn't work, then they might create another passage. Probably the neck area which kind of scared me a little bit because you know, you don't mess with the JUGULAR VEIN, doc.

On our way back home, my grandma was telling me that she's scared of the procedure and all that and I tried my best to encourage her that it would be alright. I told her that when I was still an intern, I saw that the dialysis patients were just watching TV, eating their snacks, having some kwento and stuff. TRUE STORY. Also, we discussed how some people she know don't want to undergo the procedure and that they just want to live life as it is. And then she said she want to live longer that's why she want to do it all of a sudden. She said she want to extend her life for a couple of more years and as much as I don't want to show her that I'm crying, I can't help but shed some tears. I told her to be strong and just think that it's gonna get better for her to overcome that fear. I told her that the only thing I think will hurt is the insertion of needle. My second internship taught me not to lie about pain and that we should inform them it (blood extraction) would hurt but bearable. I was a little bit relieved that she wants to fight the battle so yeah. :)

My grandma would have her blood tested again next Friday and we would want to see if her serum crea would go up or and if it will, then it might be really the time to do it and so we will. I wish my grandma the best. Things will get better! :)

Today's Just Shocking

Our pet MOCHA gave birth and we didn't even know that she was pregnant. My sisters and I argued about this before well not really argued but they said and guessed that Mocha's preggy because her belly is just so big. I kind of thought she was but I was battling because I can't be so sure and one thing about Mocha is she's fat so it's really hard to tell. So awhile ago, while watching my morning show, my youngest sister called me and said she's hearing some crying under the bed and asked me to get a flash light for us to see. I then got my phone, turned the camera on video mode, with flash. To my surprise, there are two puppies near Mocha and the floor is just bloody and it smells bloody. It's a mess in short. When I checked on the puppies, one's alive (puppy #1) and the other one's dead (puppy #2).

So I got the birth/bath tub, put Mocha and the puppy in and then we carried the birth tub or the baby bath tub upstairs because we thought that a little sunlight would do the baby good because the remaining baby actually doesn't look so good as you may be able to identify in the picture below. Quite smaller than the usual.

MOCHA WITH PUPPY #1

To our surprise, another one came out (puppy #3). I was actually petting her head and she would kind of constrict her belly at some point but I didn't expect a third puppy. So that happened. Unfortunately, the puppy is dead already when it came out. That puppy kind of made me feel sad about this whole giving birth thing because even though the puppy's dead already, Mocha wouldn't let her go and would follow my hand whenever I try to get the dead puppy. It took me quite a while to get that puppy actually.

This is probably the saddest news. The puppy who remained alive for few hours (puppy #1) also died. Maybe because they were premature or stuff but this day is just full of unfortunate events. Mocha is actually very active now surprisingly. Still going constantly under the bed where she gave birth and would still go to the tub and check whether there's something in it. I know Mocha will be better. I hope so.
