Well now, this has been a very interesting winter as far as the weather in the greater Seattle area goes. First we had so much snow and ice we were snowed in for over a week. The snow has melted, for the most part... we have very little snow left here and there. All that melted snow and now the rain... inches of rain. It leads to flooding.

I got out for a drive today and took a few photos of the flooding from the Skykomish River, the Pilchuck River, and the Snohomish River.

Since I took the photos, the 3 Lakes Road is closed because of water over the road. Second street is closed due to water over the road, and I understand the Snohomish River reached flood stage some time late afternoon or early evening and there is a lot more water than there was this morning when I took the photos. Oh... and my camera settings are all messed up. The date and times listed on the pictures are wrong. Oh well. They were taken today... this morning.

The snow is absolutely beautiful. It's so peaceful at the moment, and I'm completely enjoying it. If my guys had to be out working in it, that would be another story.

T-man went for a walk with the camera... it snowed all day long after he took the photos. I know, my family in other parts are use to a foot of snow like this, but this kind of snow fall has only happened a few years in the past 28 winters we have lived here.

Since this is our last winter in this house, I'm happy to have this experience one more time.

More baby pictures... My precious grandbaby is just over a month old in these photos. I took these photos of Aaron and his baby girl the night of Lisa's birthday party, just before we left.

By the way, if you are wondering why I'm up posting to my blog so late at night... the coyotes are hanging out just outside my bedroom window. Okay... so they are probably not just outside the bedroom window. But I'm telling ya, they are close. I needed a distraction because there is nothing quite so eery as the sound of coyotes yapping. I tried hiding under the covers... didn't work for me.

She's just over a month old and from the looks of it, she's completely in love with her big brother. She was rather fussy. Big brother came along and picked her up. She quieted down immediately.

At the baby shower

Lisa and baby girl at 1 week old. I just got around to blurring out
the babies name on the cake is why I'm just now uploading photos these
photos.

This photo was taken at the baptisms - it is baby girls first
day out.

Yeah, I have more photos to upload - they might even up to date pictures lol but I admit I'm a little behind in my daily posts here.

He's so cute when he sniffs the flowers. He couldn't decide if
he wanted to smell the flowers or kiss his baby sister, so he
kept going back and forth between kissing baby sister and
smelling the flowers.

She had a lot of friends and family turn out for the baby shower. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the summer in the pacific northwest. Oh joy. But we had a good time anyway. Baby girl now has a lot of adorable girlie clothes and sweet pink blankets.
