1. I do not understand why government wants to extend service period to 60 years old. In my opinion, not all officers are capable to work until the age of 60.

2. I believe government must have a reason to do so.

3. I do not say that all officers are not capable but for those in high position in the company actually can work longer. It is because they have to think and read a lot in order to manage their officers. They have to work hard, in order to achieve the goal that has been set by the company.

4. I do not say that officers who are not in high position are not capable to work at age 60 but most of them do not want to learn new things such as computer applications, work related system that need them to have computer knowledge and they do not even want to do new work because they want to stay in their comfort zone and do the same things for the next 10 years or more.

5. I do not need to give example for this matter but you can see in your own office does not matter in private sector or government they are the same. If it is not all, then it is most of them.

6. Let me give example based on my company. Those who are 50 years old and above do the same work and prefer to do the same if possible until they retire. They go for some computer courses. They go for some advance courses. The result is not as what we expect. They come back and still want to do the same work and hope that all computer works related will be given to the new officers with an excuse: “They are new and fresh from school. They should be good in computer”.

7. It is sad to hear that the new and fresh graduate officers need to do more work compare to the senior who have more experience and worse receive better salary.

8. My point is, why should we pay them when they cannot give their best to suit the modern demand and not pay those fresh graduates? We pay the senior a lot but we only need to pay the fresh ones less than what we have to pay the senior.

9. In term of salary, we can save a lot. Maybe many of you would ask me: “What about the experience?” Well, do you think the senior can really teach the experience to the fresh graduate? Experience can be learned from self experience as year pass by. Remember, the senior usually are very weak in computer and what advantage can they give in this modern technology?

10. We want to apply the “green environment” method to all companies in our country. If they are IT blinded, how would this campaign succeed?

11. An email written by the previous CEO caught my attention: Shape in or ship out. I truly agree, if you cannot shape in the company; you should ship out of the company. If we can apply this to all companies, we can be successful and at the same time vanish the jobless youngsters. The goal is not vague as long as we do it in a proper way. I believe with all the intelligent peoples we have, we can solve this problem.

1. A relationship needs a good understanding and toleration.

2. A relationship needs to be cherished all the time.

3. Sometimes you need to give compliment to make your partner feel happy.

4. You need to give compliment on the physical attraction. It is sad when we get the compliment from others and not from our partner.

5. Remain the behavior that you did since the beginning of the relationship. Most people do not do the things they did when they first met and when they were so in love after the relationship grows older.

6. You need to be creative in the relationship. Always create something new and interesting in anything you do together.

7. Do not always complain and nag. It can make your partner feels annoying.

8. Do not tell everything that happens in the relationship to your friend. Worse when your partner knows about it.

9. Do not always compare the things you have done to your partner with your partner contribution.

10. Last one is trust your partner. Love should base on trust. If there is no trust, there is no love.

I am not racist.

Sometimes we do not realize that we are racist. When we talk to our friends who are the same race with us, we tend to use the race if there is other race involve in the conversation.

I am not racist.

We do not realize that we always think our race is better than others. We try to find the strength in our race and compared to others. The fact is each race has its own strength and specialty.

I am not racist.

We will put our own race as priority in many things. It does not matter if it is in sport, academic or even donation. Why don’t we put the race aside and do it honestly and as a human being.

I am not racist.

If these simple things can be vanished, I believe that it is easy to unite all of us. The question is: Is it impossible?

I remember my CEO’s sentence that he always use in his speech or email. “Nothing is impossible & impossible is nothing”.

I wonder.

Human is getting crazy. Donation for someone’s death is not important compared to donation for someone who is just moving to some other branch. Oh, because the person is one of the directors.

I wonder.

There is a certain amount that an officer must donate for the director but not for someone who lose parents or spouse.

I wonder.

People feel embarrass when the donation for director is little but it is ok if the donation for the death can be counted with own fingers and worse not using notes but coins.

I was at Coffee Bean Gurney Plaza last night when Linda called me and told me about the sad news. Her father has passed away.

She was crying loudly and I did not know what to say, seriously.

She is my good friend and of course I felt very sad when heard about the news.

It is Eid Adha today and I would like to wish all of you Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha.

I think this is the best song I can find on youtube that suits the mood right now.

Few months ago, 2 colleagues from Kuala Lumpur came to Penang. One was Shida (fresh graduate) and another one was Ayie.

After a week or so, we got close. Both of them were so friendly and the best thing was we had many things in common.

I went to Kuala Lumpur very often lately, together with both of them and Keith. The journey was full of fun. We laughed, we talked and we teased each other happily. I tried to be the best shoulder for them to cry on. Even though I was not a good listener and could not give best advise, I’m still glad that I was there for them when they needed me. Remember the moment when we break the fast together at Hammer Bay?

We played badminton. We played table tennis. Too many things we did together. Even though, Cameron Highlands and Danok plans were cancelled for some reasons. But I hope both of you will come again, together to Penang again and maybe we can go travel somewhere together too. I hope.

Gosh!

I’m still sad even though I did not cry just now. But that is me. I always keep thing inside. Deep in my heart, no one knows.

Shida is on her way now. Drive safely Shida. Always remember us here.

Ayie is packing his last stuff at the house now. When I hugged him just now, I almost cry. But I tried to stay calm and be strong. He is going to take a nap and will be driving back later. Drive safely Ayie! Same thing, remember us here!

Bad luck today. But, who cares? :)

As usual, I stayed at office until 7pm to finish my work (well, I know it’s so impossible to finish work! if not, why do you go to work everyday?). Got a call from my mom that my sister is sick and could not drive to fetch my niece.

It rained heavily and strong wind too at the office. Luckily, the traffic was not that bad.

On the way to the nursery house, I did not see the hole on the road because it was covered with the water from the rain. Boom! My left-back tyre already in that freaking hole and made a “cute” sound.

“Wow!” I shouted. (actually it was other word but not suitable to be written in here haha).

Mom was shocked too.

I realized my tyre got sound when I was almost reach my house and yes, I guessed it right, the tyre is punctured!

Great.

I just bought a GPS (Garmin nuvi 1350 and cost me RM560) and now this tyre is helping me hehe. Oh yea, mom remind me about road tax and insurance that I have to pay next month.

Ok, fine. MacBook Pro 15” should be kept in my dreamland again for the third time.

It has been a while since I blogged last. I have to fight the laziness and excuses that I’m very busy now. Yes, with all the craps created by my office; we were forced to be cleaner even though we pay those contract cleaners. Weird isn’t it? Plus, my assignments are attacking me badly. I must make sure that I can submit them all before the due date!

Since it was few months ago I visited Bangkok, my memory is getting weaker. Haha. Yes, I have to remember them in detail if I want to write about it :)

I’ve visited 2 temples when I was there. So, let me start with Wat Pho first. It’s also known as Temple of the Reclining Buddha.

In 1995, in Shenzhen, a freight truck sliced his body in half.

His lower body and legs were beyond repair.

Surgeons sewed up his torso.

Peng Shuilin, 37, spent nearly two years in hospital in Shenzhen, southern China ,

undergoing a series of operations to re-route nearly every major organ or system inside his body.

Peng kept exercising his arms, building up strength, washing his face and brushing his teeth.

He survived against all odds.

Now Peng Shulin has astounded doctors by learning to walk again after a decade.

Considering Peng's plight, doctors at the China Rehabilitation Research Centre in Beijing devised an ingenious way to allow him to walk on his own,

creating a sophisticated egg cup-like casing to hold his body, with two bionic legs attached.

It took careful consideration, skilled measurement and technical expertise.

Peng has been walking the corridors of Beijing Rehabilitation Centre

with the aid of his specially adapted legs and a re-sized walking frame.

RGO is a recipicating gait orthosis, attached to a prosthetic socket bucket.

There is a cable attached to both legs so when one goes forward, the other goes backwards.

Rock to the side, add a bit of a twist and the leg without the weight on it advances, while the other one stays still, giving a highly inefficient way of ambulation.

Oh so satisfying to 'walk' again after ten years with half a body!

Hospital vice-president Lin Liu said: "We've just given him a checkup; he is fitter than most men his age."

Peng Shuilin has opened his own bargain supermarket,

called the Half Man-Half Price Store.

Kisah janda.

Tersebut kisah sorang janda yang dah 2 kali bersuami.

Bercerai dengan suami yang pertama sebab suaminya tu yang sukamemukul dan mendera, sementara suami ke-2 pulak walau padamulanya bahagia tapi akhirnya suami tu menceraikan dia dankahwin dengan pompuan lain.

Jadi selepas beberapa tahun, janda ni yang masih cantik mengambilkeputusan untuk berkahwin buat kali yang ketiga.

Dia lantas mengiklankan diri untuk mencari jodoh ketiganya.

Si janda tu meletakkan 3 syarat:

1. lelaki tu mesti berjanji tak akan memukul atau mendera

2. lelaki tu tak akan lari meninggalkan dia

3. hebat di ranjang

so, Selang beberapa hari, dtg sorang mengetuk pintu dengan kuat.Lalu si janda tu pun bukak pintu. Alangkah terkejutnya dia bilayang datang tu tak berkaki dan bertangan.

Bangkok (Day 2) : Tiger Temple

Gosh! It takes me ages to write another post about my vacation in Bangkok.

After I went to River Kwai, the next trip was Tiger Temple. You can read the detail about Tiger Temple here.

When we reached there, the weather there was cloudy. A hint that it was about to rain. I prayed that the weather will stay cloudy because it won’t be too hot and the most important thing no rain. Why? Because I brought along my DSLR camera and if raining, it would be hard for me to use it.

All tourist from the same van with me walked quickly to the gate and some even ran. Then, we realized that we have to walk further to the canyon!

Haha!

At this point, I started to run and left my 3 friends behind as the rain started to pour.

When we reached at the canyon not many people was there. I did not realize I was at the queue and it was my turn to snap with the tiger! LOL.

The woman took my camera and I was shock. “Hey!” was the only word came out from my mouth. She told me that she will take the pictures and I must follow what she says and keep holding her hand in the canyon. I told her that my friend, Keith has no camera and whether it is possible for him to follow me. I saw Keith was waving his hand telling me that he wants to follow. She said “…later”.

Fine.

Amazingly, she knew how to use my DSLR. As soon as I started to take picture with the tigers, the rain started to pour heavily. Damn it! I was worried and she was smiling happily. Haha.

After I had done taking picture, she grabbed Keith’s hand to follow her and repeat the same thing I did. Luckily, he was the last one because they stop the taking picture session for safety reason. Tigers will be VERY AGGRESIVE!

As soon as Keith finished taking picture, he passed me the camera and I hurriedly wipe the camera with the tissue. Haha.

When the rain stopped. The Tiger Temple staff told us to go to the fake cave because they wanted to take all tigers back to their home. If the tigers see us walking around they might attack us because they feel insecure. So, I walked to the cave waiting for the tigers to pass by. So many tourist were there and some waiting with the camera. I took out my iPhone instead of DSLR waiting for the best shot.

The monk brought all tigers and one of them brought the cub to the cave. I was shock as I didn’t know he was at my back. Haha.

Then, I saw some other animals running toward us. Water buffalo, deer, wild boar, cow and many others. I realized they were running here for the food.

After they had done stuffing themselves, I walked out and talked to a monk when on my way back. Oh yeah, I saw a bear in a fake cave and tall fence was around it. I wonder why the bear was in there while other wild animals were outside happily running here and there? Hmm.

The journey back to the hotel was not good. Bad traffic jam and we stuck in the jam for about 2 hours! Roughly. The van did not stop in front of our hotel but somewhere in town. I took cab to the hotel.

As soon as I reached hotel, Marcus text me. Asked me out for dinner at Somboon. A seafood restaurant. I went there with Keith and met Marcus and Marc there. The foods were awesome!

After that, we went to some good places for drinks and went back to hotel pretty late.

Great day even though it was a very tiring one.

One of the best vacation.

Bangkok (Day 2): River Kwai

After I had done with Boat Ride, I went to River Kwai.

Maybe some of you do not have any idea about River Kwai at all. I got this info from here:

In case there was any doubt concerning man's savagery to his fellow kind, then the Thai-Burma railway, all 415 kilometres of it, stands as a horrific testament to human brutality. Constructed under order of the Japanese by prisoners of war and enslaved locals during WWII, the Death Railway's most famous section, 'The Bridge Over the River Kwai', now acts as one of Thailand's major tourist attractions.

The bridge is located in the small town of Kanchanaburi where the majority of guesthouses back onto the infamous Kwai River.

The bridge is, well, a bridge. The history behind it however is far from ordinary. As the Japanese extended their invasion of Thailand into the West of Burma, their success was hampered by the difficulty in supplying troops with provisions and so a supply line, the railway, was built. The Japanese, using POWs and civilian conscripts, adopted a brutal and barbaric work regime that saw the completion of the railway in one year rather than the three it was estimated to take. These 'speedo' tactics cost the lives of a staggering three hundred thousand men.

Fuhhh!

It is not a good story to know even though it is part of world history. When the tourist guide told me about this, my jaw dropped and I felt sad about the brutality. Even though it is history, I wonder how cruel a human can be.

It reminds me of a video I watched last year; a video of a pregnant monkey which was attacked by a leopard and suddenly the baby came out from the mother.

Hmm.

Back to my travel adventure, I would like to share with you some pictures as usual.

It was very hot and the local durian ice cream was very good!

Bangkok (Day 2): Boat Ride

After I have done with the Floating Market, I went to the other side which was just beside the floating market entrance for the boat ride. The boat ride was included in the package that I paid earlier.

I’d say that Floating Market is a must and it is ok if you skip the boat ride. Nothing much to talk about :-)

Bangkok (Day 2): Floating Market

My second day in Bangkok.

Woke up at 6am and did my routine exercise such as push up and sit up. Then slowly moved to bathroom, brushed my teeth and took shower. While I was taking shower, I got a phone call. My friend answered it and it was the tour van driver. He was at the hotel at 6.30am! The agency told us last night at 6.45am! Damn it!

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you which agency we dealt with. It was MamTour. Click here if you want to know more about it. It is the cheapest price you can get. Even the hotel staff was shock with the price we got!

I rushed out of the bathroom and grab some buns and chocolates that I bought at 7 Eleven last night when I walked home from Pat Pong. I ran to the van and he was in hurry. The van driver told us that the agency always gave the wrong information. Hmm, at least he knew it wasn’t our fault.

The van kept moving at the same place like 3 or 4 times. Why? Because some of the tourist that booked the same tour were late! Hate it. I mean, can you be less self-centred? Punctual?

Then, the stick a sticker on our shirts to differentiate the package that we took.

I can’t remember how long the journey was, roughly around 2 hours? Oh yeah, we went out of Bangkok actually. The first venue was Floating Market. I missed the chance when I went to Hadyai last Februari. It was a very short trip. I stayed there only for a night! This time I didn’t want to miss it anymore. I didn’t want to be like some tourist who only come to Bangkok for shopping and sex. Travelling suppose to give us more knowledge about people culture and religion. Respect other human being and be grateful as I could see many poor people struggle with their lives where most of us sighing in the aircond room that we called office.

When we reached there. The tourist guide told us that the boat ride was included in the package but not the traditional wooden boat. So, I paid 150 baht to them and went onto the boat.

Bangkok (Day 1): Airport, Narai Hotel & Pat Pong

It has been a while since I blog last. I won’t give lame excuse as usual such as busy or not in the mood even though it’s fact.

25 days after I came back from Bangkok, now I start writing.

No picture for the first day I reached Bangkok. Arrived at the airport around 4.30pm (if not mistaken) Bangkok time and we took cab to Narai Hotel, Silom. It cost me around 430 baht.

Too bad I forgot to take picture of the hotel including the big pool, nice room and the building itself from the outside. I’d suggest this hotel to you if you want to go to Bangkok. But it depends on what you are looking for in Bangkok. If you are looking for Mall, you should stay in Pratunam or Sukhumvit. But if you are looking for night life and the famous night market – Pat Pong, you should stay in Silom. Another part of Bangkok is Sathorn which I would put it last in my list.

I reached hotel around 7pm and unpacked everything. Then, showered and got ready to go out.

It is a night market that you can get whatever stuff you want. Just say it out, and you get it. Not only things, but human being! Hahahahaha.

I was hungry. It’s not nice to walk with empty stomach right? So, I decided to find a restaurant and if possible a Tomyam restaurant. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any and end up eating at Pizza Hut. These were the foods that my friend and I ordered:

This was what I ordered. Spicy seafood spaghetti. It was VERY spicy!

This was what my friend ordered. Black spaghetti with mussel. My first time see and taste this black spaghetti.

After finished our dinner. I started to walk around the night market. So many invitation from the people around there. Two most famous were porn DVD and special package for adult’s show. The most famous show was Ping Pong show! Don’t ask me. I didn’t go :-)

We didn’t buy anything but looked around and tried to find things that we would like to buy for souvenir.

Then, we walked to the hotel and found a good place for massage. I didn’t want a hanky panky massage place. See… how good am I? >:-)

As soon as I reached hotel, I went to the hotel staff to use the telephone. I needed to confirm about the tour to Floating Market, Kwai River and Tiger Temple with the agency that was suggested by our friends. I managed to call them and confirm about the time and place to wait. 6.45am at our hotel. That was convenient enough.

I walked to my room, took a hot shower and went to bed while watching TV until I fell asleep.

If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?
