I love your menu plans. I love how they are simple and have a bit of uncertainty in them. I should try more of the week plans but usually I make a rough list of TYPES of things to make and we eat whatever needs to be eaten.

Congrats Michelle! But sorry the morning sickness was so rough. I remember morning sickness knocking me out when I was pg with Rebekah. Glad things are getting better. Hopefully you'll have a 2nd trimester energy boost. That's when I became a CVS-couponing fanatic :)

I've been hearing about your snow, my dad and step-mom were stuck in Portland for four days due to the snow (they were on their way home to Eugene after a visit to Southern Cal)

Looks like we're getting snow here tonight and tomorrow. The fridge is stocked and I don't have anywhere I need to be :) Besides, putting three little boys into snow attire takes at least 30 minutes :)

Good work! I'm with you on the big portions. I have never made a "meal for 2". We just eat it until it's gone.
Speaking of motivation... I just started with my first photography class last Thursday (the one you recommended through PP&R). I'm really excited about it and already hoping to take his 2nd course. There are only 5 people in the class which is great.

@Emily: I would wholeheartedly recommend Peter's beginner's class, and you can have any type of camera to take it (although one where you can change settings - like shutter speed and aperature - is really handy and will get you the most out of it). The classes are actually cheaper if you go the PDX parks and recreation, but then you have to go all the way to the Multnomah Arts Center.

both my boys did the same signs of teething several months before teeth appeared but I found that the crankiness waxed and waned. I never used Orajel (it can make it difficult for a baby to nurse) and I think I gave each boy tylenol once when the teething was keeping them from sleeping at night and nothing else seemed to help.

Nursing provides comfort and reduces the experience of pain in infants and breastmilk itself contains opiate like molecules that are thought to provide pain relief. So I just made sure that my boys were nursing on demand and offered my fingers or other things to gnaw on.

I know it is hard and frustrating when sleep is disrupted. Hopefully a nice dose of grandparents will distract Gavin from any discomfort.

I'll be praying that your trip goes very very well :)
