Mother's Day

Mothers Day was wonderful. The weekend was extremely busy I was very tired and lethargic after the Mr's grill steak dinner (my fav) ! My little love let me take a long nap on Sunday (much needed). We went to brunch with the in laws and then my mom came over for the steak. Lots of memories made.

I am SO happy to be her momma. I love her so very much. She is everything we could ask for and more! I hope all you mommas out there enjoyed your day!

Derby Weekend

We had a impromptu family derby party on Saturday. The girls were interested in the horses and we tried to explain the hats and the traditions, so we told them to go get fancy and lets have a derby party! We wore our dresses, hats, bet and had a grill out. We did a "lotto" style bet. I was going to put my name next to Orb first but of course daddy got him right before me. Since he won, the condition was you get to pick what we do for the rest of the night (we all knew that meant video games). Even little diva joined in the fun.

On Sunday we finally got to meet my friends son who was born 3 days before Katelyn. It was fun comparing notes and the milestones. He can do this crazy "army" style crawl , was so cute! Katelyn is only roly poly (for now).

Atlanta

Oh Atlanta. We came , we saw, and we played (a little too hard). Last week we took off to Atlanta for the last leg of the Mr.'s birthday month. Our friends moved down there for work ( sorely miss) and we have been wanting to go visit them. They are Romanian but have lived in the US for 12 years now and used to be our neighbors turned good friends.

I was so giddy, excited and nervous leaving baby I took a bunch of selfies on the plane to distract myself while the Mr. worked.

Too much coffee.

Shortly after it was time to bring on the wine & twist my arm (when flight attended refilled mine without asking).

After landing it was lunch and an early happy hour

Found an old style phone booth, of course that means I have to pose "call me maybe."

Later that day we went to a good dinner and several bars. Probably shouldn't look for those pics. I felt so bad Saturday morning! Not used to it I guess and getting older, I can't hang like back in the early 20s days!

Saturday we took it easy ~~recovered~~ and waited till later to start. We went to a really nice night club so we could dance (one of my favorite past time things to do).

We had dinner at a really cute authentic Mexican restaurant.

Sunday we had brunch, good food and booze.

For dinner we finished the trip out a cool Jazz restaurant called Dantes, there are ligit crocodiles walking around and ship artwork all over, pirates and all. Felt like I was in the pirates of caribbean ride at Disney. Sadly, he is closing down this summer because the city is building a high rise condo. If you are in Atlanta soon it is worth it to check out!

Katelyn Reene how? How did we get here this quick my love?!

Already six months! Milestones, so many coming so fast, Momma tries hard to keep up with them. You east solids 3 times a day very well, thank you. You have cut a tooth! A sharp tooth! You are now called "the little biter" by Daddy (king of nicknames). You roll over like a champ now and can roll across the room in no time. You love to sing and scream, beautiful sweet music to Momma's ears. I am tying so hard to get you to say Momma before Dadda, probably wont happen but one can dream. I love you so much and am so excited for whats to come, just slow down my baby.

I was reading a mommy blog yesterday and her daughter is 6 months (same as little diva) and she mentioned "aint nobody got time for that!" Not just blogging but everything in general. Which pretty much sums up my life and I have been saying the same thing jokingly for the past few weeks. So here is what we have been up to via Iphone dump because "ain't nobody got time for that" (long written blog post) which mostly involves the Mr. birthday month celebrations.

The birthday month comes to a close (with a BANG) this weekend as the Mr and I head to Atlanta sans baby (YIKES I AM FREAKING JUST A TAD). So excited to visit our sorely missed friends who moved there last year. Apparently they have a condo in the swanky Buckhead district, going to party just a tad. Thank gosh for face time, I will probably attack my little love on Monday, I know I am crazy for leaving her but got to do it sometime and its the Mr. 40th so why not now?

New lashes

I got lash extensions yesterday and I LOVE, the Mr. approves also. I admit I can't stop looking at them plus I don't have to wear mascara (bonus for a mom on the go). I have to go back for fill ins every 3-4 weeks which isn't bad and one of the best parts? She works at my club so the baby can stay in the nursery while I get them done!

It's important to do things for yourself when you are a mom, especially a SAHM, when your free time is very limited. It's so easy to forget what day it is and to wear the same yoga pants 3-4 times a week but dress your darling princess to the nines. So moms go do something for yourself!

All week I have been dying to write about the Mr.'s 40th birthday plans!

I threw him a surprise birthday party at the Morelin Lager house (downtown Cincinnati) booked a room with 20 of his closest friends and let me tell you I GOT HIM!

When we talked about his 40th birthday he mentioned that he wanted to celebrate with the friends, family and just us. He has never had a "surprise party"... so why not? I told him that we would have a house party on the 27th and this weekend we would do dinner, just the two of us, his friends played along and made it possible as well. When we went to dinner they took us up the stairs to the private room (where they put the curtains down). The view was awesome! Right next to the Great American Ball Park (reds stadium) His face was priceless, so shocked!

Also, instead of the "house party" we are going to Atlanta in two weeks for a long weekend to visit our sorely missed friends who recently moved there. They have a very swanky condo around where the action is, it will be nice to see them and get away for a bit. Still not sure how I am going to be away from the baby for 3 days, but I will survive. I booked the tickets a month ago and told him after the party, he said I was a great wifey ...score!

The only person on Earth who gets her carpets cleaned 10x a year? I blame a lazy peekapoo , triplets and a clumsy Mr. I'm perfect obviously( insert evil grin). Oh & yes I am working outside with Capri yoga pants. I think tomorrow I'll lay out because I'm looking a little pasty white, little diva can feel free to take a nice long nap. So happy spring has sprung!

Gorgeous weekend

We had a beautiful weekend around these parts! The weather *finally* realized it was Spring and gave us two nice days. The girls went to Florida with their mom for Spring Break so we said our goodbyes on Friday with family game night then it was just the three of us.

Saturday we went to club to work out, run errands took baby for a stroll then to kick of the Mr.'s birthday month (lots to come) we late lunch at the pub ...outside!

That evening we had a close friend over to grill steaks and drink some Pinto, she hasn't met the lil diva yet so it was time. We even ended up in the hot tub after diva went to bed! Fun night.

Sunday was so great the weather was perfect again and we took Katelyn to the park to swing for the first time and she *loved* it I think it is time to buy a swing under the deck!

Does anyone watch Shameless? The season finale was yesterday not sure how I felt about it, but onto better things Game of Thrones...loving it! Was really sad to see this weekend go, so excited to be outdoors again!

Five months

Five months! Where is the time going? You are getting so big. Everyone tells me you look at least six months because of how tall you are getting. There has been SO many milestones this month. You have rolled over, blow raspberries, and started eating vegetables. You are such a joy little diva!

Little diva and I have came to the point where we are no longer going breast feed. It is sad in a way. I really enjoyed the bonding and being able to feed my baby with my body, such a great experience. Honestly she is doing really great with it. The only time she really wants to nurse is when she is fighting sleep. Sometimes I give in (normally when daddy isn't home to take a turn at soothing). We are now trying a consistent schedule, but who are we kidding, this baby rules the house!

Easter weekend

Easter ...best Easter yet! Not only because little diva was here dressed to the nines in her adorable bonnet, but we had the girls this year with her as well. We colored the eggs on Thursday and the bunny came early on Saturday. He left nice treats, toys and even the man a basket. Then we were off to my aunts annual Easter egg hunt, bunny included. We lucked out weather wise (as you know if you are in the north we have been having a MAJOR long winter, it even snowed today), it was very sunny and the kids had a fun time. Fun things to do with GIRLS

So since we have FOUR little girls, I've begun to research all kinds of fun things to do with them preparing for the summer. There are SO many creative fun activities to do with your little girls. I think this will be a regular post of mine so I can reference back and maybe give other bloggers some ideas.

Since we have 8 year olds and an infant, the activities will differ. First up.....DUCT TAPE. Duct tape? My mom told me she was going to get the triplets duct tape for Easter, I did a double take and said " wha , whattt?! " She told me apparently it is all the rage right now. So of course we go over to youtube and watch this ADORABLE little girl display all the things she has done with duct tape. Wallets, bows, rings, stickers and more. Pretty neat. The girls and I will be making something soon, will be sure to document it but for now check out this video!

Weekend recap

This weekend was too short! We spent time with the girls on Friday, renting Wreck it Ralph (wasn't my fav), playing some motion wii games and just loving on each other. We also learned baby diva is a screamer! She cracks the girls up screaming. No not crying, just screaming. I think its cute for a good ol five minutes!

Saturday we had a friends birthday to go to at the new Horseshoe casino. It was VERY crowded because it is still new, we were surprised considering the "recession" we are in and all of the tables ($25 min and up) had waits. I wasn't too impressed besides of all the dining options they have. Especially Margaritaville, I am excited about that. Husband and I are supposed to meet there for ~~day drink~~ lunch this week, doubt we will be having too many margaritas though.

Sunday we went to the club to work out and swim with the kids. Love that place!

Oh and today and yesterday? Snow. Why? Why oh why is it still snowing?! I remember it being hot last year at this time 80s! Mother nature someone must have pissed you off but I promise if you give us warm sunshine people will be a lot happier!

Mommy hood

Whats that you see? Momma needed an afternoon hot bath and hot cup of coffee for tired eyes and sore bones during baby's nap.

Little missy has been MAJORLY attached to momma lately. She wants to be held all the time. Screams and fights naps and bed time (depending on how tired she is) I think she is teething because she is a big drool glob and always has her hands in her mouth. She also loves her daddy, when he comes home and tells her hello she fusses for him to pick her up ( he usually changes and washes his hands before he will because of being around so many different people). She has had some new milestones which I will discuss in her five month post, but let me just say a baby blowing raspberries is ADORABLE! Oh and finding her toes.

I am savoring every moment because I know baby days go by so fast, she is the center of my world!

St. Patricks Day 2013

Ahh St. Patricks day. A yearly event for some of us to take off work and day drink. This year it was on a Sunday but we heard the events were going on all weekend, so another day (Sunday) to recover before Monday?! Count us in! It wasn't as crowded as it usually was but that made for open seats and no beer line. We actually ended up having a bigger group than normal, around 10, it was a fun time! We toured the Covington area's maintstruass village (street of bars) and called it a night at 6 p.m. Thank you mom for allowing us to nap when we got home, someone was ready to play until 11 p.m. that night. Here are a few pictures of the shenanigans.

Sunday Social

1. Favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

Lay on the couch watch movies with the family.

2. Favorite thing to do on a Summer weekend?

Go boating of course! Also love playing outside with the kids and having a neighborhood grill out with a glass of cold pinto on the porch.

3. Favorite Spring accessory?

Tori Burch flats !

4. Favorite way to spend a Winter day?

Sled ride , drink hot chocolate, then lay by the warm fire inside.

5. What is your favorite season and why?

Close tie between summer and fall. One thing I love about where we live is that we get to expierence all four seasons. Summer is wonderful because everyone becomes more lively from the winter gloom, we love to boat and be on the water so most weekends we are boating. Then fall, the leaves start to change and the air becomes crisp, bonfires, apple/pumpkin spice, and halloween my favorite holiday (aside from Christmas)

6. Best birthday you ever had?

My last birthday of course, because I got to spend it with my baby girl!

Ok here is the deal.....I have loads of maternity cloths and baby wear (some she hasn't worn) that I'd like to get rid of/sell to buy more. Anyone have experience with this? Do consignment shops work best? Ebay? I am pretty clueless. I know I have seen some blog sales in the past but I don't think I have a big enough following for that. Help a girl out!

Whoa slowww down girl! The clock is just flying by. I am loving every. moment. with you. You are so close to rolling over I am sure it'll be in a matter of days. We are still breast feeding and you are eating oatmeal like a champ, you like to feed yourself as grandma said your momma did ;). Cooing, gooing, screaming and blowing raspberries are your thing. You have your daddy wrapped around your finger (tight). He puts you to bed every night and you've started to sing him sweet songs before bed. Your sisters just love you and you make them laugh more than they make you laugh! They took you on your first wagon ride on a snow day (preview of whats to come this summer) You discovered lilly (dog) and sasha (cat), I think you are going to be a tail puller. We love you Katelyn !

Hello there beautiful appliance

Finally....FINALLY we got a new fridge! Who have I become, I am so excited. Ours was falling apart it seemed and had the french doors of freezer on one side and fridge on the other. NOT ENOUGH fridge. You could get a concussion opening the door because of how full it was. So we bit the bullet and bought one on Saturday & they delivered on Tuesday. Removing everything was a chore but the outcome was so worth it. We went with the LG door in door. LOVE IT. I love the "secret door" as the girls call it, we can put in fast drinks and snacks in there for a quick grab. It has so much space.

Travel Babbles

February was a busy month, I confess I am glad it is over! We took the whole gang to Indianapolis museum and water park for two days with my mom, uncle and his grandson. Then we were brave enough to fly down to Florida with the baby to visit Gran and Papa. The plane travel needs its own post, so for now I will picture dump our adventures. Little Miss's swimsuit was a show stopper everywhere of course, I just crack up and die every time she is in it!

3/4 month favorites

Things are starting to get fun around here! Katelyn is starting to try and laugh out loud, focus A LOT more, grab things and even starting to try to put them in her mouth (uh-oh). She is drooling like a mad woman and always has her hands in her mouth. Still doesn't roll over, I think its because we don't do as much tummy time as we should, its hard for hubby and I to hear her fuss (guilty). Here are some of her favorite 3-4 month favorite items:

1. Luxe Little Giraffe Blanket. SO SOFT a little bit of a splurge but this blanket is so awesome.

2. Lamaze touch and feel doll. It is so cute when she sees this doll she instantly smiles and grabs it.

3. Jungle gym mat. This gets her motor skills going and mommy and daddy some time to eat/get things done!

4. Sofia the giraffe. She loves to chew on this but can't quiet hold it there alone.

1. Mac BB cream ...LOVE! Don't have a lot of time to fool with makeup each morning so this is my new go to product. It looks like full coverage make up , moisturizes and spf all in one, must have.

2. Janie & Jack bathing suit for bubbles, I DIED... look at the cap! Cannot wait to put it on her next weekend ! She is going on her first family trip to Indianapolis to the Childrens Museum and an indoor water park hotel, we're all so excited.

3. The trips got a new toy/belongings storage from Ikea. We are putting it in the basement (finished) will be their area while Bubbles uses the living room toy box, the girls grew out of it (also not into toys
