The very last time a parent wants is to be the stumbling block to their children discovering, attaining and retaining their genius. However, the sad fact is that many parents are actually unknowingly doing that!

If you are one of the many parents out there thinking that true genius is only exclusive to the “fortunate” few kids, then it’s time to think again!

Earlier this year, Burt Goldman, more commonly known as the American Monk, released a shocking report, “The Genius Dip“, showing statistically that all children are born geniuses and your child is not the exception.

However, what is truly shocking is that 98% of the children, by the age of 20, would have already lost their capabilities!

As such, one enthusiastic and interested parent, Melissa Greczy, stood out courageously to seek to further look into the trend of why genius dip occurs and what, you, as a parent can do to ensure that your child can have the best environment to discover, attain and retain his or her genius, potential and inborn capabilities they are given when coming to this world.

From this Project GiftED teleseminar, you will find two extremely inspiring and motivating speakers, Blurt Goldman and Melissa Greczy, talk about their concerns of our children, how genius does not actually eludes them and if you, as a parent, should you trust the education system your children is going through?

Also, you will receive the real truth of:

Why your child’s education may be doing more harm than good to them realizing their geniuses?

What you can do to aid your child in developing their intuition or their sixth sense for them to make the correct decision?

How you can fulfill your role as a parent in laying down the success of your children?

And much more…

Frankly speaking, when will be the perfect time to prepare your child for their future then this upcoming summer holidays?

So why wait any longer?? Go on and join Blurt Goldman and Melissa Greczy in unleashing the geniuses in our future leaders before we truly lose them…forever…

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars, the house, the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So when your eulogy is being read
With your life’s actions to rehash,
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

Do you believe that it is your birthright to be happy? Do you also believe that you are sent to this world to affirm and enjoy all the wonderful creations of God, the animals, the sceneries etc..

Granted, not everything that happens to you deserves you to throw your smiles at. However, by the same token, there are many, if not, countless number of things that can easily bring a smile to your that already stagnant, fixed face. Yet, are you really smiling as often as you frown?

Too often we are quick to anger, quick to let our temper rise. Yet, it takes a great deal of things to happen before we can start laughing and say a prayer of gratitude for the countless wonderful things that happen to us.

It is so much easier to complain, to notice what’s wrong with the situation or how others had wronged us that make our temper and blood pressure rise, our blood boils. However, it takes so much effort, so much of our time to just notice (not even appreciating and enjoying) the fantastic things, events or people who have came into our lives.

We live such a high pace life that we are slowly beginning to lose our sense of directions. Although we are constantly moving faster, increasing the pace of our footsteps, the end destination still seems to be nowhere in sight!

We no longer knows where we are going, what we are doing or why we are doing them. No longer are we guided by the passions, the purpose within us. Rather we are “maneuvered” by what others wanted us to do, what the society demanded us to be and what our friends”encouraged” us to have.

It is such a sad fact that most parents spend more time looking at their computer screens than they spend searching for a smile on their children face. It is no wonder the passions, the burning fire begins to dwindle as a couple decides to invest more time in their work than on each other. And it is by no coincidence that we are slowly drifting apart, further and further away from one another, missing out on all the fun and company of the people whom we once promised we will look after or be with together forever.

Think about it. What is the use of rushing through life when you don’t even enjoy a bit about it? What is the purpose of accumulating great amount of wealth when you don’t even have the luxury of time and energy to consume it? And what is the use of living when what are you doing is just going through life and not actually living it?

It is your innate ability to make the best use of what you have, to thrive in this world, not to simply survive. What you have or do not have, what circumstances you went through or did not went through is never a determining factor to you succeeding in life. The real crucial component is: “Do you really want it and how badly do you want it?”

Stop letting other dictate how you should live your life. Quit handling over the control to others, no matter how close or how “superior” you regard them as. It is your life and it should be you who decide how you want to live it. Be guided by the burning passions within you, the purpose you believe you are sent to this world to fulfill and not by what others think, believe or want you to be.

Think of what you want to achieve in life. Retrieve and dig out those hidden, suppressed ambitions and passions within you. Mark on the map of your life, the place you really want to go.

Identify where you are on the map and plan your route of advancement. What tools do you need to reach your end destination? What help do you need to request and what abilities do you need to pick up along the way? Next, it is time to pack up your bag and…

Move! A thousand mile journey all starts with a first step. Move forward with courage not guilt. Count your steps with perseverance not with pessimism. Look forward with the passion not irritation.

Remember, your life is yours to live. Let others live their own while you live yours, with bravely!

If you were to see one of your nation’s greatest musicians at your Metro stop (subway, MRT etc) playing six Bach pieces would you have noticed him?

There was this particular experiment held by a world renowned violinist Joshua Bell for Gene Weingarten’s Sunday Magazine story. According to Washington Post, the experiment was part of a social experiment about perception, taste and priorities of people. If we were in a common place, at an inappropriate time, will our perception of beauty change? If not, will we take the time to stop, enjoy and appreciate it? Will we take time to recognize the talent in that unexpected situation?

The experiment took place in a metro station in Washington DC where Joshua Bell, along with his beloved violin, Gibson ex Huberman which worth approximately 3.5 million dollars, stood there and played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes.

Throughout this period, there are 1,097 people who walked passed but only 7 of them took the time to stop and appreciate the beautiful music. And throughout his short performance there, Joshua Bell only manage to received $32.17 from 27 passersby!!

What’s more contradicting was that two days earlier, Joshua Bell actually sold out at a theater in Boston, each seat averaged $100!!

A performance which wealthy people paid above $100 for was barely noticed by the hundreds of passersby. This inevitably make us think, how many times have we being given the opportunities for happiness and we decided to pass it, so that we have the time put out some unimportant, non urgent fire?

“One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?”

I have always enjoyed reading biographies and watching documentary films of famous life changers like Mother Theresa and Gandhi. The life stories of their struggles, their humiliations and their acts of kindness to mankind have always been a source of inspiration and motivation for many people. Sure enough, the world may not have turned into a better place for everyone because of their actions. However, those whose lives have been touched by them can never forget the justice, righteous and care for mankind they have.

Just recently I happened to chance upon a self improvement website, SUCCESS, which devotes to helping people like you and I succeed in life. Of the numerous inspiring articles at SUCCESS, I was particularly attracted to an article. One that talks about the legacy a man left behind. The man was a British statesman, writer, orator, painter, and a leader of the British nation who always led by example.

Of course, that person is none other than Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, a man who led one of the strongest nations at that time through its darkest moments.

I have once read the biography of Sir Winston Churchill no less than two times. And every time I read it, I cannot help but feel impressed by his valor, courage and integrity.

In the SUCCESS’ article, Amy Anderson has done a very good job in summarizing the great virtues this legendary man possessed. I strongly urge you to spend some time reading through this short yet insightful article about Winston Churchill. Hopefully you can find strength in him, find wisdom in his words and find inspiration in his wonderful legacy he had left for all of us to follow and learn from.

He was a British statesman, writer, orator, painter, and the leader of the British nation during its darkest and perhaps finest moments. He was also a man very familiar with failure.

The Right Honorable Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born in 1874 to a British Lord father and American socialite mother. Although his grades were unremarkable, he thrived in the British Army, fighting in India and Sudan in his early 20s. In 1900 he began a long political career in Parliament. Forty years later, as World War II broke out, Churchill began serving as prime minister and minister of defense. It was in the theater of war that Churchill made a name for himself. His tenacity, ingenious tactics and fierce spirit helped him lead Great Britain and the Allied forces to victory.

Churchill accepted the premiership again in 1951 and remained a Member of Parliament until 1964, the year before he died. Throughout his lifetime, he received numerous honors, including knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II and honorary U.S. citizenship from President Kennedy.

His life was a shining example of boldness and determination. But Churchill considered himself a flawed man; his humility allowed him to leave lessons all of us can apply to our lives.

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”

Young Winston Churchill suffered with a speech impediment. But in his first year at Harrow, he won a contest by reciting 1,300 lines of poetry from memory. He had a gift for words and persevered until he overcame the impediment.

During World War II, he wrote and delivered speeches that defined key moments in British and world history. But most people don’t realize that his gift for speaking came as the result of years of study and practice. His private secretary, John Colville, stated that Churchill devoted one hour of preparation for every minute of delivery.

“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.”

Churchill’s father was a Member of Parliament. “I am a child of the House of Commons,” he said. “I was brought up in my father’s house to believe in democracy.” These core beliefs in the democratic way of life were strong motivating forces.

Churchill promoted aggressive action against Hitler long before the British government saw the need. In the end, his foresight and moral
certainty inspired the world and left a legacy of freedom. As he said, “What is the use of living, if it be not to strive for noble causes and to make this muddled world a better place for those who will live in it after we are gone?”

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.”

Winston Churchill became a legend for his wartime leadership and subsequent victory, but he was a man familiar with the blows of defeat and failure. While serving as First Lord of the Admiralty in 1915, Churchill tried to break the deadlock of World War I by forcing the Dardanelles Straits. The plan failed, and attempts to land troops at Gallipoli resulted in massive Allied casualties. A demoralized Churchill was removed from office. His demotion was a tremendous blow, but he continued to work in politics. Then, in 1940, his election to prime minister gave him the renewed opportunity to prove himself in military leadership. “I felt as if I were walking with destiny, and that all my past life had been
but a preparation for this hour and for this trial,” he said.

That first year in office he ordered the evacuation of Allied troops from Dunkirk and Calais. He was hoping to save as many as 50,000 men from certain death. When the evacuation was complete, more than 300,000 were saved.

“We shall go on to the end,” he said, “we shall fight in France, we shall fi ght on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fi ght on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender….”

“For myself, I am an optimist—it does not seem to be much use being anything else.”

Although he tended to a sometimes-sour disposition, or what his family referred to as the “black dog,” Churchill was also an optimistic and enthusiastic leader. When the D-Day invasion force was set to head for Normandy in June 1944, the king of England had to dissuade the exuberant prime minister from sailing with the fleet.

After the war, Churchill spent much of his time writing, composing his war memoirs in The Second World War and writing the multivolume A History of the Englishspeaking Peoples. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.In his writings, he displayed awe about the world around him: “I wonder whether any other generation has seen such astounding revolutions of data and values as those through which we have lived. Scarcely
anything material or established which I was brought up to believe was permanent and vital, has lasted. Everything I was sure or taught to be sure was impossible, has happened.”

“Personally I’m always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.”

Well past the age of 40, Churchill learned to paint. He showed talent and was a prolific artist, creating more than 500 paintings. His continued willingness to learn set him apart from other leaders and enabled him to move beyond mistakes. “We must all turn our backs upon the horrors of the past,” he said. “We must look to the future. We cannot afford to drag forward across the years that are to come the hatreds and revenges
which have sprung from the injuries of the past.”

“Never give in.”

Even after the Germans began bombing London during World War II, Churchill ran Britain’s campaign from the city. He lived and worked in an underground bunker, as did many Londoners. Despite pleas from aides and Parliament, Churchill’s refusal to evacuate helped foster a spirit of determination and courage among British subjects.

In 1943, Churchill suffered two heart attacks and fought off pneumonia while in Carthage with Gen. Dwight Eisenhower. Three weeks later, the Prime Minister was back in London and back at work. “This is the lesson,” he said, “never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

Think back to the time when you were a child. Can you still recall the sparkle in your eyes when you were asked “What do you want to become when you grow up?” Are you able to remember the excitement and enthusiasm you had when you answered the question? How about the determination and strong belief that once shot fiercely out from your eyes?

And what about now? Do you still hold the burning passion for your ambition? Or have you long decided that all your past ambitions are all hoax, dreams that cannot be realized.

When we were small, everything to us were “I’m Possible”. As we grow up, gather feedbacks from others, listen to criticism from others regarding our talents, our gifts and our abilities, we eventually move from the “I’m Possible” mindset to the “impossible” mindset.

We learn to doubt our innate ability to make our dreams, our ambitions possible. We allow others to dictate what is possible and impossible for us. As the time goes by, we gradually learn the art of “helplessness” and feel powerless to control our own destiny.

“What your mind can conceive, your mind can achieve.” Here are the wise yet often neglected words from famous book, Think and Grow Rich. The truth is there are increasing numbers of self development books that seek to teach people the tricks and principles to success. Jack Canfield’s “Success Principles”, Steven Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, Anthony Robbins’ “Awaken the Giant Within” are just some of the many examples I can list.

However, do they really help? If they really do, why are there still so many people struggling to achieve the success they constantly desire?

As those self development facilitators often say, “You have to do your own push-ups.” The system works only when we work them. Watching others eat is never going to make you full. Watching others do their push-ups is never going to make you strong neither is reading the success principles is going to make you successful.

Moving from the “impossible” mindset to the “I’m Possible” mindset requires more than just knowing. It also involves doing. You can be on the correct road. However, if you are not moving, you will still get knock down by the car!

Reading and attending seminars is gaining knowledge. Putting the knowledge to use is power. And it is exactly this power that will make all the things in your life from the “impossible” to the “I’m Possible”!

Maintaining a positive attitude is probably what most of us are searching for in life. After all, the personal development gurus always mentioned that your attitude in life determines your altitude in life.

As easy as it may sound, however maintaining a positive attitude does required some hard work from our part. And in reality, many of us are actually struggling to attain that.

Do you know what exactly constitutes a positive attitude? I am quite surprised that many people do not exactly know what the word “attitude” actually means. Honestly speaking, how can one seeks to improve his attitude in life if he does not even know what “attitude” is all about?

And thus, that brings us to:

Positive Attitude Help #1:

You cannot manage what you cannot understand. Thus, the first step to you improving on your attitude is to know what constitutes an attitude. Attitude is defined as a complex mental state involving beliefs, feelings, values and dispositions to act in certain ways. To change your attitude, you have to put work hard on your belief and value systems and your emotional IQ. And now, having know what you can change, lets move on to…

Positive Attitude Help #2:

Recognize who you want to associate more often and who you want to limit your association. As much as we want to, not all relationships are created equally. Birds of the same feathers flock together. By actively seeking out and associating yourself with people who holds more empowering beliefs and values, you will be in a better position to achieve a life of positive attitude and success.

Positive Attitude Help #3:

Know how to deal with your time. Everyone is given 24 golden nuggets per day, no one is exempted. Therefore it is up to us to decide how we want to utilize them to further improve our life and the lives of others. Learn to manage your commitments, avoid over-committing yourself to urgent yet unimportant issues.

Positive Attitude Help #4:

If you noticed, having a great attitude in life involves great amount of mind power. Possessing a positive attitude all starts in the mind. A healthy, positively charged mind will atomically translate to a positive outlook of life.

And to own a healthy mind, one has to first own a healthy physical body which evolves from having a healthy lifestyle. Learn how to effectively manage the stress in your life, refrain from any potentially harmful drugs and getting a moderate amount of exercise very week are some examples on how one can build a healthy mind and physical body to attain a positive attitude and outlook of life.

Like every other skills, nurturing a positive attitude in life requires some work from your part. You have to actively seek to replace your limiting beliefs and negative self talks with more empowering and positively-charged ones.

The 4 positive attitude help formulas can only lay the foundation for you. However, you still have to “do your own pushups” should you want to see astonishing miracles appearing in your life.

We all have goals and aspirations we want to achieve in life. And as we all know, all worthy goals demand great investment of our time and energy.

In today’s 6 goal setting lesson plans, you learn how to P.U.R.S.U.E your goals and obtain the necessary motivation and realizing them with speed!

Goal Setting Lesson Plans #1: Put pen to paper

You cannot achieve what you cannot define. Oftentimes, we think that we already know what we actually want in life. However, until we can put our goals onto paper and easily articulate them to others, the chances of us achieving them are very slim.

To not able to communicate to others only means one thing. We have yet to know specifically what we desire in life. How can we possibly to achieve something great in life when we ourselves do not even know where and what our targets are?

Goal Setting Lesson Plans #2: Utilize your resources wisely

To pursue all your goals at any one time can only spells disaster.

Focus is the key here. Scattered sunrays can never ignite a fire until when it is brought to focus. And that is exactly what you want to do. Focus your limited time and energy on only 1 goal in different areas of your life at any one time.

Goal Setting Lesson Plans #3: Rate your desires and motivation

More often than not, when you cannot attain what you set out for, it is due to your lack of motivation and passion for it.

As mentioned earlier, in order to attain what you want in life, you have to constantly upgrade and improve on yourself, your belief and value system in addition to increasing and improving on your skills sets.

Motivation = Motive + Action.

Until you realize the true motive of why you want to attain those goals, it will be challenging for you to come out with the respective inspired actions.

Goal Setting Lesson Plans #4: Search for your source of inspiration

No matter what destination you are heading for right now, most likely it is a destination which has already been reached by many people before you.

The clever people learn from their mistakes while the cleverer ones learn from others’ mistakes.

Search and hunt down those people who have already been to where you want to go. Get them as mentors and read their biographies to study about the challenges they faced and the solutions they employ.

Goal Setting Lesson Plans #5: Use all the support you can get

It is almost impossible to achieve anything great in life alone. Do not deny yourself the support you can get from others.

Build a strong network of likeminded people. After all, birds of the same feathers flock together. Choose your network of friends cautiously for your network does determine your net worth.

Goal Setting Lesson Plans #6: Engage in positive thoughts

Stepping out of your comfort zone and stretching yourself to attain what you want is difficult. And that is when one is most susceptible to negative thoughts. Always guard your inner dialogue and thoughts well.

Motivation and inspiring speaker, Jim Rohn once mentioned, “The most important conversation you can have in life is the conversation you have with yourself.”

Your mind is like a garden and you are the gardener. Take consistent efforts to pluck out all the “weeds” to ensure that your dreams have a fertile land to grow and thrive in.
