Star Rider Character Cards

The new character cards for this month is out: the Star Riders, motivating us to follow our dreams since March 30th, 2012! So what do you guys think, do you like it? I personally thought they were kinda weird looking at first and I still don't like the hats, but the female outfits are adorable--especially the skirts! For me it looks like a mix of Sailor Moon and a flight attendant...is that just me?

The Star Rider cards will be out until April 20th and it costs 9,500NX. With purchasing the card, you will get an in-game title called "Soldier of Love" (more Sailor Moon influence? :'D) and +7 Will as a stats boost; along with that you will also get a new assortment of hair styles, lips, and eyes when you rebirth or create a new character with the card.

I'm conflicted on whether or not I want it, it seems adorable but also kind of pointless at the same time. The Will points would be nice because that will help increase Critical Hit and maximum/minimum wound rates, however right now I have the Lightshedder title and that seems much more advantageous.

What about you guys, are you going to get it? Do you already have it, and if you do, do you like it? Was it worth the buy or not?

*Edit [04/15/12]: Well, in the end, I got it. It's sooo cute!! It has a white jacket that's laced with pink, and a green skirt with green leggings. Honestly I don't really like the green leggings but I can't do anything about it yet. -_- I might dye it if I can find a good colour.

Transformations

Hello fellow Mabinogians, I know its been a while, but recently, we've all accomplished an awesome goal. All of the members of the party now have their transformations! Aslenderman, Desolin, and Felix all have the beast form, which are the Falcon for Aslenderman and Desolin, while Felix has the Savage Beast. Vanda has her Paladin transformation, and nobody in the party is going to be a Dark Knight. Aslenderman is currently the only one with Demigod, with the others hopefully catching up on that. So in light of this. I'll be explaining how transformations work since it can be a bit complicated.

Transformations are all obtained from completing a series of quests. For elves and giants, the amount of quests they must go through is shorter than the ones for humans. Humans must complete Generation 2 to become a Paladin, and for those wanting to be a Dark Knight they must complete both G2 and G3 (G3 can be skipped to get to the small series of quests to turn into a Dark Knight).

If you are human, you have a choice between Paladin or Dark Knight, but once you change to Dark Knight, you can't turn back, so this is a very important and unchangable choice you may make. Everytime you use your transformation (excluding Demigod), your health, stamina/hunger, and mana will go back to full and you will recover most (but generally not all) of your wounds.

The Demigod transformation is available to all races and is received upon the completion of G10. The remaining 3 demigod skills will be received upon completing G11 (Shadow Spirit) and G12 (Wings of Rage and Wings of Eclipse).

Transformations excluding Demigod can be used once per in-game day and are reset everyday day at 6am, which is why you see many people transform at 5:50am in order to take advantage of a free transformation. Transformations will last a few hours in game depending on the amount of rebirths, level ups, and age. Once a transformation is nearing its ending time, it will give you a warning that the skill will cancel with the exception of the Dark Knight transformation. Demigod is usable every 10 minutes in real life.

Transformations change appearance based on rank (excluding Demigod, which changes on Goddess Support). The transformation stages are Rank F, Rank A, Rank 5, and Rank 1.

Paladin

Paladin is one of the two human transformations. Skills for the transformation do the following:

Spirit of Order transforms you and boosts health, mana, stamina, defense, and protection.
Power of Order boosts strength and will.
Eye of Order boosts dexterity and balance.
Sword of Order boosts damage and injury rate.
Paladin Heavy Stander reduces damage and flinching from melee attacks.
Paladin Natural Shield reduces damage and flinching from ranged attacks.
Paladin Mana Deflector reduces damage and flinching from magical attacks.

Unlike other transformations, Paladins lack two things. First, when you get the transformation, it lacks the passive defences (the last three on the list). In order to get those, you need to go through a miniquest after completing G2 and upon completion of that, you will receive all three passive defences. Secondly, Paladins are the only transformation that does not have an active skill (a skill that actually does something while in Paladin form). Paladins and Falcons don't always activate all three passive defences when transforming as the passive defences activate randomly. It is possible to have all three activate, but there will always be one active every time. Paladins also can get pets that transform into Paladins whenever the owner transforms. These pets are the Borzoi, Greyhound, and Siberian Husky. The progression in ranks goes from Paladin, White Knight, Holy Knight, and Champion. The different ranks look like this (males on left, female on right):

Dark Knight

Dark Knight is the second human transformation. Skills for the transformation do the following:

Soul of Chaos transforms you and boosts health, mana and stamina.
Control of Darkness is used to take control of monsters.
Body of Chaos boosts strength and balance.
Hands of Chaos boosts dexterity and injury rate.
Mind of Chaos boosts intelligence and critical.
Dark Heavy Stander reduces damage and flinching from melee attacks.
Dark Natural Shield reduces damage and flinching from ranged attacks.
Dark Mana Deflector reduces damage and flinching from magical attacks.

Dark Knights transformations are fairly random and will give different stats everytime it is used. Modifiers are an addition 60%, 100%, or 180% of the base for the transformation each time it is used and has four possible outcomes. The active skill for Dark Knights is called Control of Darkness. This skill allows the Dark Knight to control monsters up to a certain CP (Combat Power).This is fairly useful for taming aggressive monsters or luring monsters to specific places. Dark Knights and Savage Beasts always activate all three passive defenses upon transforming.

Unlike the other transformations, the Dark Knight transformation doesn't just turn off after a set time period. Instead, Dark Knights enter a "disarm" phase where the health of the Dark Knight drops by 10 health per second until the Dark Knight runs out of health and then untransforms. This can be avoided by untransforming during the drain period. However, Dark Knights can also make their tranformation last long by drinking health potions or having someone heal them. The disarm health drain can also temporarily be paused by being attacked. Dark Knights can also get pets that tranform into Dark Knights whenver the owner transforms. These pets are the Bombay, Bengal, and Siamese. The progression in ranks goes from Dark Knight, Black Knight, Chaos Knight, and Infra Black. The different ranks look like this (males on left, female on right):

Falcon

Falcon is the beast form and tranformation of the elves. Skills for the transformation do the following:

Fury of Connous transforms you and boosts stamina, strength, and health.

Elven Magic Missile fires an elemental attack from a bow, crossbow, or wand.
Armor of Connous boosts will and protection.
Sharpness of Connous boosts dexterity, critical and balance.
Mind of Connous boosts mana and intelligence.
Connous Heavy Stander reduces damage and flinching from melee attacks.
Connous Natural Shield reduces damage and flinching from ranged attacks.
Connous Mana Deflector reduces damage and flinching from magical attacks.

After completing the small series of quests, elves will be rewarded with Beast mode (transformation). The form of the falcon is the elf's natural power. Falcons and Paladins don't always activate all three passive defences when transforming as the passive defences activate randomly. It is possible to have all three activate, but there will always be one active every time. The Falcon active skill is called Elven Magic Missile. Savage Beast

Savage Beast is the beast form and transformation of the giants. Skills for the transformation do the following:

Daemon of Physis transformsyou and boosts dexterity, damage, and balance.

Giant Full Swing is an attack that performs a swing to hit multiple enemies with high damage.
Life of Physis boosts strength, will, and stamina.
Shield of Physis boosts health and protection.
Spell of Physis boosts mana, intelligence,and critical.
Physis Heavy Stander reduces damage and flinching from melee attacks.
Physis Natural Shield reduces damage and flinching from ranged attacks.
Physis Mana Deflector reduces damage and flinching from magical attacks.

After completing the small series of quests, giants will be rewarded with Beast mode (transformation). The form of the savage beast is the giant's natural power. Savage Beasts and Dark Knights always activate all three passive defenses upon transforming. The Savage Beast active skill is called Giant Full Swing. Giant Full Swing allows the giant to make a powerful overexaggerated swing that deals high damage to a wide range of targets. The skill can be used with any weapon, but using anything that is not a giant's two handed weapon (a giant mallet for example) will do reducded damage. The progression in ranks goes from Savage Beast, Beast Slugger, Iron Beast, and Beast Lord. The different ranks look like this (males on left, female on right):

Tranformation Training

Training your transformation skills is different from training your other skills. Transformation skills don't rely on AP to rank up, but rather level ups to count towards training. Each time you level up (exploration level ups don't count) you will get a small portion of training for your transformation. These points will automatically be put into Spirit of Order/Soul of Chaos/Fury of Connous/Daemon of Physis and will continue to fill up the training for that skill until it is full. After the training is full, you will not get any extra training towards your transformation and causes the points to be wasted. You are able to train your transformation skills at any time as long as you have at least one point in your main transformation skill (one of the four that were just listed). In order to train any of the transformation skills, you need to move to the transformation tab under your skills and click the "Train" button.

After you click the train button, you should come up to a screen similar to this one:

This window is where you do all transformation training. To train different skills, you have to move points from the main transformation skill (the one at the top) to the skills you want to train using the +1, +10, and MAX buttons. Each level up will bring in 10 points and will be scaled up or down in order to reach proper spending per skill. Once you spend the points in a skill of your choice, you can either reset the spent points to put them back into the main transformation skill or click the "OK" button at the bottom left. Once you click OK, the points are stuck in the skill permanently and can't be refunded. As you can see from Aslenderman's transformation training screen, the only things I have some training in are Fury of Connous (Rank 5), Sharpness of Connous (Rank 6), and Elven Magic Missile (Rank F). Elven Magic Missile was a slip up from earlier on when I was learning how to work with the points and now it taints my transformation training (aesthetically speaking).

Here's a little video clip with a demonstration on how to spend points and showing that points scale up or down to remain equal.

Demigod

Demigod is a secondary transformation that is received upon completion of G10. You can use this transformation by itself or along with the regular transformations. When you transform into Demigod, an explosion effect happens around you and enemies will take damage. Demigod offers increased regenerationg for health, mana, and stamina as well as an increase in movement speed, Advanced Heavy Stander (at a set rate, which means occassionally you will not be interrupted or knocked down), reveals the dungeon map for the floor, gives an Arat berry effect, and can discover artifacts in Iria that are hidden.

When in Demigod mode, you also have access to multiple Demigod skills. Fury of Light and Spear of Light are the default skills when you receive Demigod with Shadow Spirit given during G11 and Wings of Rage and Wings of Eclipse given on completion of G12. Once you complete G12, you have the option to choose between Goddess Support. You can side with Neamhain and have access to Spear of Light and Fury of Light, or side with Morrighan and have access to Wings of Rage and Wings of Eclipse. Shadow Spirit is available despite which Goddess you pick as it is given to you by Cichol. Spear of Light is a high damage attack that hits enemies between you and the target and is capable of hitting over 2,000 damage. Fury of Light sends balls of light towards all attackable objects near you and will stun and damage enemies repeatedly for 12 seconds. Shadow Spirit lets you steal dead enemies' shadows and send them to continuously damage enemies. Wings of Rage is similar to Spear of Light, but it does let damage during its explosion, but has residual damage afterwards. Wings of Eclipse shields the player from damage and causes reduced damage, Advanced Heavy Stander, and an 100% auto-defense against attacks. You can change between Goddess Support freely after G12 after going through a short process.

The one on the left supports Morrighan, the right supports Neamhain.

Unlike the other transformations, Demigod loses skill experience and training whenever a skill is used. This also means that skill ranks from using demigod skills can go down once the experiece gets low enough until you are completely out of experience. Leveling up gives training to demigod skills and rebirthing gives 20 times the experience a level up gives to demigod skills. The demigod skills that receive training on level ups/rebirths depend on your Goddess Support.

If you support Neamhain, training goes to Awakening of Light (demigod transformation), Spear of Light, Fury of Light, and Shadow Spirit. If you are sided with Morrighan, training goes to Awakening of Light, Wings of Rage, Wings of Eclipse, and Shadow Spirit. Training demigod skills is the same as training regular skills, once you get enough experience for it to be able to rank up, click the "advance" button and it will ask you if you want to rank the skill up. This also doesn't require AP, only level ups/rebirths.

All right, guys. Sorry that we have ALL literally been absent for a couple of months.

Some of has us gotten jobs, and add schoolwork onto that and they basically don't have time to do anything. I personally have just had school work to deal with and didn't really feel like playing--plus my account was hacked along with Desolin's.

I apologise that we didn't make a post stating that we were going to be absent from making posts and for leaving you guys hanging. It was really rude of us and inconsiderate. I'm going to remember this so we can improve ourselves in the future.

I'm actually going to put more time into this blog now and make up for lost time if I can. I made this place, I must take care of it. So expect to see a lot of blue. :)

Mabinogi's N/A Server Temporarily Offline

Hello, fellow Mabinogians. I, Aslenderman, just wanted to bring up a topic that you may or may not know about. During the past few weeks in Mabinogi, there have been dozens and dozens of hackers ruining the fun of the game for others by hacking into the game itself and using GM summoning and GM hiding. These are supposed to only be used by Nexon employees on accounts specifically made for moderating or events with Nexon. People have been abusing these and many other hacks, such as item deletion and item duplication (duping), just for the hell of it or just to make money in the game.

During the time of the hacker outbreak, it was suggested to keep yourself offline or away from towns, not accept trades from random strangers, or go for deals that were too good to be true (as buying duped items could get you into big trouble). However, on the night of New Year's Eve, Nexon made an announcement that in order to prevent further damage to players and the server, that North America's Mabinogi server would be closed until further notice.
EDIT: However, as of January 2nd, Nexon announced after 40 hours of toiling over fixing over the problems that made these hacks possible that the problems have been fixed and Mabinogi is safe to be reopened. Any player who logged in during the time will receive 5,000 NX cash, 2 days of VIP service extension, and a Double Rainbow Event coming soon. Those who were directly affected by the hacking situation will also get an extra 5,000 NX cash as well as item restoration of what was lost. If you were affected by the hacking and have not had your items restored, you can follow the instructions listed here to send in a ticket specifically for this. Note that if you are sending in a false ticket in order to try getting items you've never had before can result in a temporary or permanent ban of your account from ALL Nexon sites. You will also be wasting Nexon's time that could have been spent helping someone who has been affected.
We're sorry for the inconvenience and lack of respect from hackers. As said by Elavius and Desolin previously, all of us here on the blog wish you all a Happy New Year! We hope to see you all soon and stay tuned for more posts from us!

Best Commerce/Trading Routes

Hello people of the internet, its Aslenderman again with more on the Commerce/Trading System.
Everybody wants in on the fastest ways for Commerce and Trading, however there is one truth that everybody should know: there is no best route. The best route can vary greatly per person based on personal preferences or the skills or abilities of the person. However, I'll try my best to help you find the route best for you :D.

Routes will vary depending on a few things, such as the length of the trip, value of items, bandits, and the abilities/preferences of a merchant (the trader/you). The length of the trip will determine what route you'll take. If you pick a short route, there may be one or two ways to go that would seem logical, but if you pick long routes, you'll be looking for the quickest route since time=money.

The value of the items will determine the strength and number of bandits you'll get when you run into some. The beginner items will ALWAYS spawn a single Newbie Imp. As you move up in Merchant Rating for a town, the more items you'll be able to buy and trade and the more valuable the items are.

With a safe from Belvast Island, for example, you will always spawn between one to six rookie or trained bandits, and if you're unlucky enough, one of those bandits will be a rookie/trained bandit boss. Bandits will also affect your choice usually. If you always fight bandits for the thrill of the fight, you may like a route that has many bandits. On the other hand, you may have items that would trigger Veteran or Master bandits, which both do a good deal of damage as well as having good defences and health into the thousands, and you may be fairly weak or not good at combat or just not feeling like fighting, you probably will want to avoid those bandits. Lastly, if your person is a starting trader, you may want to do a few short runs or a long run that avoids bandits.

Now here comes the fun part. The "best" routes are usually the quickest possible way to get from one location to another location to get the most profit, which generally is the farthest travel possible (Tara/Taillteann to Belvast and vice versa), though not everybody likes to go the long way and stick to places that are close.

Short routes would be...

Tara to Taillteann/Emain Macha,
Emain Macha to Dunbarton,
Dunbarton to Port Cobh/Bangor/Tir Chonaill,
Taillteann to Tir Chonaill,
Belvast Island to Port Cobh.

These paths don't really need an explantion as they are simple enough to follow with any directions, and in most cases, the towns are directly east/north or west/south of each other.

The longest routes and some possible ways (note that I said some because there are dozens of kinds of different routes and I don't know them all) to get to them in various different matters are going to be covered in the next two videos. I hope that they will help you.

The first video will be and explanation of the paths from Belvast to Tara, and will tell you some options on variations of the paths. I did not put in how to get to Belvast from Tara because you can backtrack your steps.

This next video is an example of me travelling to Tara from Belvast (video is sped up to x3). This will explain a little bit more.

Quick Announcement!

Everyone, it's time to welcome a new member to The Party!! His name is Felix von Flin, a giant friend of mine whom I met when I was temporarily aligned with the giants during the war (for God knows what reason -__-).
He went missing for a few years but we finally ran into each other by chance while I was running some errands in Dunbarton. He is also friends with Xiate. I don't know exactly where she is right now, but she will be making more apperances via writing articles for us as a permanent guest.

Anyway, I hope everyone loves Felix. :) He's really sweet and is the most gentlemanly giant I have ever met (and giants are so well-known for being brutes!). It is so blatantly obvious that I hold him in higher regard than I do Aslenderman, who can't even begin to compete with Felix's manners. I do now that Felix and I had a history. -_- Just getting that out now so that if you see any biased comments it would be more understandable then me simply being "horrid" towards Aslenderman.

Commerce System

Hello fellow readers, Aslenderman again. With the release of Mabinogi's G15 (Generation 15), a new system was put into place called the "Commerce System". This system allows one to trade goods and wares between towns on the continent of Uladh. Trading this way allows you earn Ducats (Fomorian currency used in the Commerce System, also used in Shakespeare's time as currency), Gold, Experience points, and Trading Ratings. Trading using the Commerce System requires one to visit a trading post. The ogres handle transportation methods, such as a backpack (free and given to you to start with), hand cart (3,000 ducats), horse carriage (100,000 ducats), and elephants (350,000 ducats). You can't carry much with the first two methods and you'll also have a reduction in running speed. Horse carriages are much faster than running speed and can carry more than the handcart and backpack. Elephants have a slower speed than horse carriages, but faster than running speed than humans and giants but equal to elf running speed, and can carry more weight in items than the carriage.Don't know if you can really see the picture above, as it's poor quality for some reason, but it is the interface for the Commerce System.
1. [top left corner]) Merchant Rating. This displays the level of the Merchant rating you have for the town trading post you are currently at.
2. [top middle]) Item Stats. This shows things such as the item's name, price, weight, and cost of how much to fill up your inventory. Under that, there is a table showing the profit to be made per town and how much. On the bottom is the purchase information, where you select how many you want to purchase and how many slots it will take up.
3. [top right corner]) Method of Transportation. This shows your current means of transporting goods. In the picture, you can see I'm currently using a handcart, like a boss. Modes of transportation of goods are the backpack (4 slots, 400 weight max), handcarts (6 slots, 800 weight max), horse carriage (8 slots, 900 weight max), and elephant (7 slots, 1700 weight max).
4. [under #1]) Items. These are the things you can buy from the town's trading post. These will vary between towns based on the town's history or impact on the world. Taillteann has crystals, while Tir Chonaill has potions.
5. [under #3]) Slots. These are the available slots for your commerce items. They go here and into stacks dependent on the item itself. This will show you how many items you have with you.

Now to begin your life as a travelling merchant, you first must talk to the goblin (who stands between the ogre and the imp) and ask him about ducats. He'll hand you 300 of them to get you started. After you're given the ducats, you're free to ask him about whatever else you'd like to ask, but to officially begin your trading, you pick the Trade option. This will prompt the interface to pop up and you select whatever you'd like to use as a start for yourself.

Now after you finish selecting everything and are ready to head off, you pick any route you'd like and head off in that direction. Ideally, you're heading for the town with the biggest profit to be made. In this case, I'm going from Belvast Island to Tir Chonaill, since I wanted a fairly short trip with a decent amount in profit. In the process of the transporting between towns, there are two different things that you'll face with. The first, and my least favorite: the trading assistant imp. He's supposed to be helping you with spotting the second thing that you'll face when transporting: bandits. The trading assistant is far from useful in my opinion. Most of the time you spend transporting goods, he'll be making fairly stupid comments. Here's an example from the imp himself on my way to Tir Chonaill, not even 5 seconds into the trip. I wasn't even moving. At all. That dumbass. Well, anyways, he does a fairly good job using his "heart radar", as he calls it, to detect bandits, though bandits aren't very tough to spot, I still managed to never spot them for the first couple dozen trading trips I did. After I saw the first one, I was quickly embarrassed. Here's a few things related to the bandits, as well as an easy difficulty fight between me and a bandit.

Sorry about the pictures and video not being lined up nicely, the preview for pages is noncooperative with my computer. Anyways, the bandits come in about 4 different forms (Newbie, Rookie, Trained, Hardened, and Veteran *I don't remember if there are Master bandits or not*) and spawn in groups of 1 to 6. The bandits may steal a portion of your goods, and you can tell by watching the bandits. They will hand a hand icon appear over their heads and then a star will be added to their overhead area. If the bandit gets 5 stars, they will attempt to flee with your goods. However, if you kill them before they get away, your items will be safe. You also have a small chance of getting bandit patches upon killing a bandit. These can be traded in for ducats.

Finally, the rewards for using the Commerce System are fairly decent. You can spend ducats on Fomorian weapons, which cannot be upgraded, but have higher stats than regular weapons. These weapons also can't be upgraded by regular means. The imp at the trading posts sells and repairs the weapons. My weapon of interest is called the "Masterpiece Bow" and is 6,000,000 ducats. I'll get that eventually, but once I do, the world better watch out :D.

Well, hopefully this will have given you a decent basis of the Commerce System. I hope to see avid traders trying to make a living this way and working hard to earn what they want to get from the little imps.

Magical Pets for Mages

Dear Fellow Mabi Player,

My name is Xiate. I was asked as a request [from Vanda] to be a guest writer for “The Party”, and write about sprites. I happily accepted since my first pet was a sprite. For any aspiring mage, I recommend such a magnificent pet because they have such great magical stats. Each sprite is different and not just because of their color either. People can, as of this moment, obtain a lime and yellow sprite. At one point, however, there was the lustrous rainbow colored sprite available but only for a limited time. The good thing about the rainbow sprite and the lime sprite is that they have the same stats, just different colors.

Out of the two sprites still up for grabs, the lime sprite is better than the yellow as far as stats go. There is not much a difference, but it could be that one point that saves you or kills you. Both have the ability to cast magic and will know three basic spells:

Fire Bolt. Lightning Bolt. Ice Bolt.

Another great feature for these sprites is not only their magic, but also when they combine with their master. Each sprite may fuse with their master on command until their master tells them to stop or they run out of time to be used. Once a sprite fuses with their master they act as a shield for them. The master’s defense is increased along with a few other attributes.

My own sprite, Akiciela, is a loyal companion that I am so happy to have. She has done great deeds, such as protecting me from a shadow horse, attacking him and killing several dungeon bosses while I healed others or myself. I think a sprite is a wonderful companion and everyone should look into getting one.

Marriage and Divorce

October 15th, 2011. A Saturday. A very special day in the lives of Aslenderman and I, for we were then bounded by [supposed] holy matrimony under the marriage law of the Elves. This binding contract between man and woman is usually signed with love and loyalty, however, with us it is signed with finances and physical benefits. Our rings read, "Til love do us part" for it was when we loved each other that it would it not be a marriage of convenience no longer. However, I have developed feelings for him over the span of two years of our marriage, even though initially all I wanted from him was his money.

Marriage isn't a complicated thing if you have the money for it. In order to get married you have to go and talk to a marriage coordinator in the designated spot which offers ceremonies. There are certain places for certain couples, however. If you are an Elf you must be married in Filia, a Human in Emain Macha, and a Giant in Vales. Once stated that you want to be married you will receive your engagement rings and you will have one week real time (one year Mabinogi time) to officially get married. There are about five things that you have to pay for in order to have a "complete" wedding:

The engagement: 5,000g.
The invitations: 100g each.
The outfits for bride/groom: 14,000g each.
The actual wedding: 25,000g.

You will have to pay a total of 44, 000g total not counting invitations. Aslenderman paid for everything, except for the wedding invitations which were my responsibility. But I didn't have to worry about it because I didn't invite anyone. So I still saved my money. The one thing that I did not like, however, was that you could only rent the outfits--you could not buy them. So once the wedding is over and you leave, the clothes will automatically be taken back. Twice have I stood naked in front of my newly wedded husbands (yes, I was married twice. Aslenderman is my second) right after the ceremony. -___- The Elven dress for the bride is exceptionally adorable though, but I still wish that I could have kept it.

The wedding starts off with the bride and groom standing by the entrance, being called to walk down the aisle by the priest--one at a time. Upon reaching the end of the aisle and coming upon the altar, the blessings and vows are said and the rings are exchanged. Wedding rings have one point for both Protection and Defense, five points for Durability (even though it does not lose durability), and cannot be upgraded. You also cannot sell it, store it, or drop it.

More words are said and spoken by the wedding presider before the bride and groom bow to each other and the people who are at the event. They then walk back down the aisle once more, marking the end of the wedding and the official binding of the two. From that point on you will go onto the "wedding reception" where you will get about ten minutes to talk to your spouse, guests, and take pictures. After the time is up the wedding hall will disappear.

Once you are outside you will receive your titles: The Married. If you and your partner both don that title whilst you are in battle together you will receive a stats boost. You don't even have to be in battle, just as long as you are near each other you will get a 10 point increase for your HP, MP, and Stamina.

Now when it comes to divorce...trust me, it's not worth it unless you honest to the gods hate your spouse and/or want them dead. In my case, I didn't hate my ex. He was just never around EVER so I thought, no point in being married. However, divorce is a costly thing and I was going to remain married just to save my gold...but then Aslenderman came around and well...yeah. You know what happened then.

There are two types of divorce. The first type being Mutual Divorce, the second being Force Divorced (I did this one, since my terminally ill of a miner husband decided to go and die somewhere without telling me).

The Mutual Divorce costs only 20,000g and has the consent of both you and your partner. Together the both of you must go and talk to the wedding coordinator in order for it to be considered "mutual".

The Forced Divorced costs 50,000g. This happens when your partner either doesn't want to get a divorce and you do, or you have no idea where the hell your spouse is and just want to get the stuff over with. Apparently the Forced Divorce costs over double the price of the regular divorce because it is trying to discourage people from breaking up with ill intentions. Thankfully, I didn't have to worry about the cost for this because Aslenderman paid for it for me also.

Right now, to be honest, I don't mind getting another divorce. Aslenderman has proved himself to be an insensitive, arrogant jerk who doesn't care about the feelings of others. He thinks that he can win me over by buying me pets, clothes, and weapons; giving me money and taking me places. But no, that's not what I want at all and if he can't realise what he did wrong and apologise for it any time soon...then the relationship is so over and I'm going to go get yet another Forced Divorce.

Equipment and Inventory

Hey, Aslenderman here. This is my first article based on what's named in the title: equipment and the inventory.

Weapons within Erinn come in all shapes and sizes. They are highly varied and come with hundreds of thousands of customizations. This is because all weapons, clothes, and armors come with a special color palette that allows each part of the weapon or armor/clothes be dyed to every single color possible. They all also have slots for upgrades. All items that can be worn have a slot that they can be placed in. Here's an example of what the inventory and equipment slots look like.

(1.) Accessory slots. These are for gifts and such given to Milletians (players) for extra defense and protection. They can be blessed, enchanted, and repaired (fixed cost of 50,000 per durability point).

(2.) Headgear slot. This is for helmets, hats, and other various pieces of headgear that Nexon may choose to come up with. They can be blessed, enchanted, and repaired.

(3.) Weapon slots. These are where weapons, tools, and items can be placed. The left slot you see is for the character's right hand. To dual wield weapons, you must first put a weapon into this slot and then into the other slot (Note: Humans and giants are able to dual wield weapons. Humans can dual wield swords, while giants may dual wield blunt weapons, such as maces or hammers). Two handed weapons will take up both slots, but only be shown in the left slot. Bows are required to have the bow in left slot and arrows in the right slot, otherwise, you will not be able to use the bow. Weapons can be upgraded, blessed, enchanted, and repaired.

(4.) Armor/Clothes slot. Any clothes, light armor, or heavy armor may be placed in this slot. All clothes and armor come with a set amount of defensive properties which can be changed via upgrading. Armor and clothes may be upgraded, blessed, enchanted, and repaired.

(5.) Gloves slot. All gloves and gauntlets can be placed here. These can be blessed, enchanted, and repaired.

(6.) Boots slot. All boots and shoes go into this slot. These can be blessed, enchanted, and repaired.

(7.) Robe slot. All robes will be put in this slot. These offer no bonuses whatsoever and are used
purely for aesthetics. These can be blessed, enchanted, and repaired.

(8.) Auxillary slot. You are able to keep up to two sets of weapons at a time. You can alternate between these freely. This is helpful if you'd like to use ranged attacks and melee.

(9.) Inventory. This is where your hammerspace is. You can collect items that end up here. You can carry up to 60 slots of items. However, you can get more inventory space by using banks, bags, or pets.

NOTE: Not all equipment can be enchanted, upgraded or repaired. They may have certain restrictions in the game to keep items from becoming overpowered. Most rare but highly effective weapons may not be upgraded, repaired, or enchanted.

Now, you may be wondering what I am referring to when I say stuff such as durability points or blessings. Here's another image to help explain.

(1.) Weapon name/description. This gives the name of the weapon in a slot and gives a short description about it. If blessed is in the named of the weapon, that means that the weapon will be repaired at a higher success rate and that it will lose durability slower than usual over time. Blessings can be lost upon death.

(2.) Weapon attack style. This tells you how the weapon attacks. Ranged weapons speeds affect how long between shots you make. Melee weapons will tend to have something along the lines of "Normal 3-hit Weapon". In that case, the weapon will regularly do 3 hits per combo before the enemy will be knocked back. All enemies and players have what is called a knock-back meter. This shows how close the person or enemy is to falling over.

(3.) Damage range. This is the damage range that the weapon gives. It will be further enchanced by your character's stats.

(4.) Injury rate. This is the success rate of injuring your opponent and causing wounds, preventing them from regenerating health. That means if your injury rate is 20%~50%, you will inflict between 20 to 50 wounds on the opponent, but depending on the enemy's protection, your injury rate will decrease.

(5.) Critical hit rate. This is the chance of scoring a critical hit. The damage added on from critical hits depends on the rank of your Critical Hit skill. This can be reduced by the enemy's protection amount. Max amount is allowed is 30%, so all critical percent above the enemy's protection is 30%.

(6.) Balance. This is the chance of hitting higher up in your damage range, other than that. I have no fucking clue how it works.

(7.) Durability points. This is how much durability your weapon has left. Durability can be regenerated by people around Erinn. Different smiths have different success rates. Ferghus, the starter town smith, has the WORST success rate. Don't use him. EVER. If a repair fails, the item loses a durability point permanently. Blessings decrease durability reduction by alot.

(8.) Proficiency. This shows how much you've used the item. Proficiency is gained faster at older ages. This is also used to get upgrades. The highest cost for an upgrade is 100%.

(9.) Upgrades. Upgrades can go on weapons and armour/clothes. Weapons tend to have five slots for upgrades and armour and clothes usually have three. Upgrades can do a variety of things to make items better, but usually at the cost of something. Regular upgrades take the all of the listed slots. The last of the upgrades can be an Artisan Upgrade, which requires 100% proficiency. This tends to be a highly important upgrade for most people and can boost the stats of the character to do more with their item. Other upgrades include gem upgrades (up to one time) and special upgrades (via upgrade stones that are fucking expensive as hell and up to six times).

(10.) Race specifics. This tells you what race can equip the item you have. Elves can't wear heavy armor or two handed weapons. Each race has its own unique weapons that can't be equipped by other races.

So overall, that's the basics of the equipment and inventory of Milletians. Seems fairly lengthy and unimportant, but hopefully you understand :P.

Shopping in Tir Chonaill

Hey, guys! It's Vanda here with my very first article for you to read and it's going to be all about shopping!!! :D

I absolutely love shopping and I often travel to Tara JUST for the clothes. I'm uber excited to show you some of the things that I find in stores and such! I'll be reviewing everything! Feel free to leave your thoughts also, maybe even tell me which things to buy? So many stores with so many things, I can't decide which item I want!!

Anyway, today the item to be featured are SHOES!!!!! Specifically boots!

After finishing a dungeon by Tailteann I decided to travel back to Tir Chonaill to visit a few friends in town, but then I noticed a display of shoes in Malcolm's General Store. I couldn't help myself, I just had to go and check it out. I'm glad I did because some of the shoes were so cute...but I had to leave empty handed because I'm saving money for upgrades for my battle short swords. T^T

But I'm keeping an eye out on those shoes. ;D There were a total three pairs that I liked. Though to be honest I didn't really like any of the colours they came in. They didn't match my current outfit at all. Malcolm said that he was receiving a shipment for each with new colours the next day though, so I might go back and check that out. :) So here we go...

Spika Two-Piece Boots. 32,000g.
Now this pair is made from real leather, as advertised by Malcolm so explicitly. It's durability is at about 20. When I tried them on they had a pretty comfortable feel to them and I didn't have trouble walking in them at all. It hugs your feet and legs to wear it's perfectly fit and not too tight, and there is actually a good amount of space in the actual shoe area so there's nice ventilation. The colours are okay and they KINDA go with my outfit...but I think I'm going to wait this one out. One for the colour and two for the extremely high price. :/ 32,000? I walked in with 3,000 to little. Even then, I don't think I've ever thought of spending so much money on a pair of boots. However, I will keep this on my wishlist because these boots look pretty cool.

Knee-High Boots. 51,110g.
These boots were ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!!!!! I especially like the cross lacing design that makes it seem just so cute. I tried them on, too, of course. The inside was firm and stable. Which is a nice feeling to have when you're running around doing quests or going on hunting jobs. They seemed to be of good quality too. So not only is this cute and will help keep you up with the fashions of Erinn, it's also efficient in terms of durability! Which is 12. At first I thought they were 5,000 and I was so ready to get them but then I noticed the extra digit and... -____- Yeah. I'm not really digging the yellow and I'd prefer a darker colour, but they are still just so ugh. <3 I'd ask Aslenderman to buy them--oh wait, never mind. I never said his name. I'm still upset with him.....

Core's Boots. 7500g.
Now these. These are also cute. Though I actually don't see myself wearing these...it's not quite my style. But it does go with my belt, don't you think? Yes? No? It's durability is also 25, which is higher than the other two boots that were shown before. And this is also the cheapest out of the two, which is not fair because it's the pair that I don't want. -___- But they are cute. :) Cute and comfortable. I felt like I was floating on air when I tried them out, they are THAT comfortable. I might recommend this to anyone who runs around a lot because it'll make you feel like you're flying! I might suggest these to Desolin now that I think about it. She needs some new things. Her wardrobe is so limited and bland...

Malcolm wasn't upset that I didn't buy anything. I told him that I would come back later in the future to get the shoes, but that would be after I upgrade my swords and get the artisan upgrade also. Sigh, I just realised how incredibly expensive some of the boots are. :/ I never knew I had such expensive tastes. Oh well. Maybe I can find them in another town for a cheaper price, who knows.
