The word “apocalypse” literally means “lifting of the veil” or “revelation” and is typically used to describe the end of the world, whether that end is brought about by something spiritual, natural, man-made or a combination of all three.

There are as many theories on how the world will end as there are religions, faiths and philosophies. Thus, Hollywood has lots to choose from when deciding how to show the demise of humanity on the big screen. And the creators of the new Internet television series “2012” have added a new voice to the genre. In “2012”, the Mayan calendar is correct and in December, 2012, aliens destroy most of life on earth. A handful of courageous survivors must overcome the odds as they are guided to safety by the mysterious extrasensory visions of an unknown Mayan god. With resources at a minimum, basic survival is key as they attempt to battle the aliens and evade the rest of the humans who have been infected beyond a cure.

2012: Arrival – Ep.1

Since there won’t be any filmmakers left to document the actual end of life as we know it, below are nine films which, if they didn’t get it exactly right, did a great job depicting The End.

Children of Men

The end of the world comes quietly and sadly in this 2006 Clive Owen-starrer. It is the year 2027 and mankind has lost the ability to reproduce.

Owen plays a man who is a shell of his former self. Once a fiery activist, now he’s just waiting for humanity’s extinction. That changes, however, when his old friend and partner, played by Julianne Moore, introduces him to a pregnant woman. Seeing this miracle ignites Owen’s fire and he risks it all to get her to safety.

Children of Men, based on the book The Children of Men, does a great job at giving audiences an alternative to big, violent, end-times fare. Chronic, species-wide infertility is a great villain and the film captures the sadness and longing that a slow march to extinction would bring.

The Omega Man

Charlton Heston makes pretty much any movie list-worthy and The Omega Man is no exception. In this movie, Heston plays Colonel Robert Neville, a man trying to save the remaining bits of humanity from the effects of the biological warfare that wiped out everyone else. Most humans who survived have turned into albino mutants bent on destroying all technology. Neville does not become a mutant because he had access to an experimental vaccine that spared his life.

He finds a band of humans who are infected, but who haven’t turned into mutants yet and creates a vaccine that will save them as well. But before he can give it to them, one of them betrays him, leading to his death. Despite the betrayal, Neville still hands off the meds and dies in an appropriately maudlin Christ pose.

Mad Max (franchise)

The three movies that make up the Mad Max franchise (Mad Max, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome) explore the emotional ramifications of a greedy society that cannot control its urges or change with the times. In this world, dependence on oil has destroyed the landscape and the people that inhabit it. Society is now ruled by cruel, violent gangs who use torture, threats and terror to maintain their existence. Single gallons of petrol are precious, priceless commodities and thugs have no qualms or hesitation about killing to get a jug.

Enter Max Rockatansky, played by the then-newcomer Mel Gibson. At the start of the series, Max is a police officer working to uphold the law and restore some sort of order. The senseless murder of his wife and child are enough to prove to Max that order is impossible to restore and he becomes a thug himself — though one constantly battling between his old, rational, emotional self and the Max he is becoming — a man bent on revenge and delighting in treatment as cruel as what was inflicted upon him.

Thanks to the unique setting, unique costumes, motorcycles, and machinery-focused storytelling devices, the Mad Max movies have become cult favorites.

28 Days Later

This film adds a touch of horror to the genre. Instead of people dying suddenly and/or mysteriously, mankind is infected with a wildly contagious “rage” virus that causes sufferers to act out violently and either kill everything in sight or be killed by people trying to defend themselves. The story follows four survivors as society falls to pieces around them.

The seamless combination of genres — horror, zombie, end of the world, allegory –makes 28 Days Later an excellent example of apocalyptic cinema.

Logan’s Run

The best genre films take the basics of the genre and layer in contemporary commentary. Logan’s Run adds the rarely discussed topic of ageism to a dystopian setting. In this film, based on the book of the same name, balance and order are maintained by killing every citizen when they reach the age of 21. This is the only way the powers that be see to keep mankind from depleting the Earth’s dwindling resources.

Titular character Logan is in charge of finding and executing Runners — people who try to escape their fate. He goes rogue in order to infiltrate a group of Runners and soon finds he has more in common with them that he does with the governmental forces he worked for so long.

Equilibrium

Like Logan’s Run, Equilibrium features a society trying to stave off its apocalypse. In this world, feelings are considered the enemy. Citizens are prohibited from engaging in or enjoying artistic expression and take daily injections to stop all emotion. Christian Bale plays a law-enforcement officer charged with making sure people obey these rules. Naturally, he re-discovers how beautiful art can be and leads a resistance to overthrow the oppressive regime.

The film received mixed reviews, but deserves a spot on the list for the very cool martial arts created for the film: the Gun Kata. This fighting style pits gunmen in close hand to hand combat where they avoid direct bullet hits in favor of elaborate ricochets.

Soylent Green

Set in 2022, Soylent Green tells the story of an Earth significantly destroyed by overpopulation and global warming. Charlton Heston plays Robert Thorne, a police officer who is investigating the death of a Soylent Corporation official. The Soylent Corporation has been keeping humanity satiated by feeding people Soylent Green — a food substance they claim is made from plankton. Soon, however, Thorne discovers that the oceans no longer produce plankton and thus realizes… “Soylent Green is PEEEEEEEOPLE!!”

The Road

As if the sudden and tragic death of most people on the planet isn’t scary enough, The Road adds in a creepy layer by showing us what happens when scared people become desperate to survive. A father and son leave their home on a long walk in search of warmer weather and hopefully other humans. They do find other humans — but not the type of people who would make great new neighbors. Mankind has turned cannibal and a fight for their lives turns into a fight to the death.

The common perception of this movie is that it’s definitely worth seeing, that you will be glad that you saw it, but that you won’t want to see it again. Where many apocalypse-related films use frightening new images of destruction we’ve never seen before, The Road uses images that are very familiar. In fact, one of the most haunting scenes — two ships beached on a freeway — was an actual shot of destruction left by Hurricane Katrina. These very real images paired with the very real emotions displayed by lead actors Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee create a powerfully bleak story that is almost too relatable for comfort.

The Book of Eli

Though there are clear religious overtones in this 2010 thriller, The Book of Eli puts a grounded spin on those overtones so that if religious forces are what bring about the end of humanity, it’s reasonable to think they might look like this.

The hero, Denzel Washington’s Eli, is stoic, mysterious, matter-of-fact and down to business. He doesn’t romanticize the death and destruction he comes upon, nor does he fear it. He simply does what needs to be done in a direct to-the-point manner often unseen in post-apocalyptic settings. Eli has a mission to accomplish that he will clearly get to, end of the world or not. In a genre normally overrun with loud and obvious fear, The Book of Eli shows another depiction of mass destruction: acceptance and faith.

Russian scientists opened a frontier miles under the Antarctic ice, after drilling down and finally reaching the surface of 20-million-year-old Lake Vostok, an achievement the mission chief likened to placing a man on the moon. The gigantic buried freshwater reservoir could harbor life from Earth's distant past.

The scientific commuity anticaptes that Lake Vostok could host living organisms that have been locked in frigid darkness for some 20 million years, as well as clues to the search for life elsewhere in the solar system such as Jupiter's "Ocean Moon," Europa, under the ice crust on Mars, and Saturn's moon Enceladus, also believed to harbor a vast buried ocean. Penetrating the surface of the lakecame after more than two decades of drilling when the Russian team made contact with the lake water Sunday at a depth of 12,366 feet (3,769 meters), about 800 miles (1,300 kilometers) east of the South Pole in the central part of the continent.
Lake Vostok is kept from freezing into a solid block by the more than two-mile-thick crust of ice that acts like a blanket, keeping in heat generated by the Earth's geothermal energy.
"They followed different laws of evolution that are yet unknown to us," he said.Studying Lake Vostok will also yield insights about the origins of Antarctica, which is believed by many to have been part of a broader continent in the distant past.

But Jupiter's Europa might not only sustain, but foster life, according to the research of University of Arizona's Richard Greenberg, a professor of planetary sciences and member of the Imaging Team for NASA's Galileo Jupiter-orbiter spacecraft.
Europa, similar in size to Earth's moon, and has been imaged by the Galileo Jupiter-orbiter spacecraft. Its surface, a frozen crust of water, was previously thought to be tens of kilometers thick, denying the oceans below any exposure. The combination of tidal processes, warm waters and periodic surface exposure may be enough not only to warrant life, but also to encourage evolution.
With Jupiter being the largest planet in the solar system, its tidal stresses on Europa create enough heat to keep the water on Europa in a liquid state. More than just water is needed to support life. Tides also play a role in providing for life. Ocean tides on Europa are much greater in size than Earth's with heights reaching 500 meters (more than 1,600 feet). Even the shape of the moon is stretched along the equator due to Jupiter's pull on the waters below the icy surface.
The mixing of substances needed to support life is also driven by tides. Stable environments are also necessary for life to flourish. Europa, whose orbit around Jupiter is in-sync with its rotation, is able to keep the same face towards the gas giant for thousands of years. There is strong evidence that the ocean below the ice is connected to the surface through cracks and melting, at various times and places. As a result, the , if there is one, includes not just the liquid water ocean, but it extends through the ice up to the surface where there is access to oxidants, organic compounds, and light for photosynthesis.
Tides have created the two types of surface features seen on Europa: cracks/ridges and chaotic areas, Greenberg said.The ridges are thought to be built over thousands of years by water seeping up the edges of cracks and refreezing to form higher and higher edges until the cracks close to form a new ridge.
The chaotic areas are thought to be evidence of the melt-through necessary for exposure to the oceans.
The tidal heat, created by internal friction, could be enough to melt the ice, along with undersea volcanoes - a combination of factors would give organisms a stable but changing environment -- exactly the type that would encourage evolution.

Valentine's Day started in the time of the Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, February 14th was a holiday to honour Juno. Juno was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. The following day, February 15th, began the Feast of Lupercalia.

The lives of young boys and girls were strictly separate. However, one of the customs of the young people was name drawing. On the eve of the festival of Lupercalia the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry.

Under the rule of Emperor Claudius II Rome was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. Claudius the Cruel was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. He believed that the reason was that roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. As a result, Claudius cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome. The good Saint Valentine was a priest at Rome in the days of Claudius II. He and Saint Marius aided the Christian martyrs and secretly married couples, and for this kind deed Saint Valentine was apprehended and dragged before the Prefect of Rome, who condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. He suffered martyrdom on the 14th day of February, about the year 270. At that time it was the custom in Rome, a very ancient custom, indeed, to celebrate in the month of February the Lupercalia, feasts in honour of a heathen god. On these occasions, amidst a variety of pagan ceremonies, the names of young women were placed in a box, from which they were drawn by the men as chance directed.

The pastors of the early Christian Church in Rome endeavoured to do away with the pagan element in these feasts by substituting the names of saints for those of maidens. And as the Lupercalia began about the middle of February, the pastors appear to have chosen Saint Valentine's Day for the celebration of this new feaSt. So it seems that the custom of young men choosing maidens for valentines, or saints as patrons for the coming year, arose in this way.

Nougat Semifreddo: Italian desserts

If you got a lot of Italian Christmas hampers over the holiday season,you’ve probably got an awful lot of panettone, pandoro or torrone to get through Torrone is the Italian word for nougat and today we’ll look at a recipe for using it as a semifreddo dessert, in conclusion to other the Italian christmas recipes.

While homemade gelato can be difficult to do without an icecream machine, semifreddo is easy as you can make it just with cream and then freeze it later. If you find a good semifreddo recipe, you can make all sorts of flavours, too.

For this nougat semifreddo you’ll need:

200 g of nougat (possibly dark chocolate flavour but anything will work),
two eggs, four tablespoons of sugar,
200 ml of whipped cream,
half a glass of brandy,
chocolate flakes and fresh red currents.
For a finishing sauce use 100 g of dark chocolate and 50 ml of fresh cream.

Beat the egg yolks with the sugar, put the nougat through a food mixer and then mix with the eggs, adding the brandy. Mix until you get a smooth consistency.
Add the cream, then whip the egg whites and add a little at a time. Pour into a small, rectangular cake or loaf dish and put in the freezer for 5-6 hours.
Take it out of the freezer about half an hour before serving and serve with the melted chocolate and cream, along with some chocolate flakes and the currents.

Remote sensing is the acquisition of information about an object or phenomenon, without making physical contact with the object. In modern usage, the term generally refers to the use of aerial sensor technologies to detect and classify objects on Earth (both on the surface, and in the atmosphere and oceans) by means of propagated signals (e.g. electromagnetic radiation emitted from aircraft or satellites).

Earth scientists use the technique of remote sensing to monitor or measure phenomena found in the Earth's lithosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. Remote sensing of the environment by geographers is usually done with the help of mechanical devices known as remote sensors. These gadgets have a greatly improved the ability to receive and record information about an object without any physical contact. Often, these sensors are positioned away from the object of interest by using helicopters, planes, and satellites. Most sensing devices record information about an object by measuring an object's transmission of electromagnetic energy from reflecting and radiating surfaces. These sensors are either passive or active. Passive sensors detect energy when the naturally occurring energy is available such as sun energy. Active sensors provide their own energy source as radar waves and record its reflection on the target.

Remote sensing imagery has many applications in mapping land-use and cover, agriculture, soils mapping, forestry, city planning, archaeological investigations, military observation, and geomorphological surveying, among other uses. For example, foresters use aerial photographs for preparing forest cover maps, locating possible access roads, and measuring quantities of trees harvested. Specialized photography using color infrared film has also been used to detect disease and insect damage in forest trees.

Genetic engineering, also called genetic modification, is the direct human manipulation of an organism's genome using modern DNA technology. It involves the introduction of foreign DNA or synthetic genes into the organism of interest. The introduction of new DNA does not require the use of classical genetic methods, however traditional breedingmethods are typically used for the propagation of recombinant organisms.

The most common form of genetic engineering involves the insertion of new genetic material at an unspecified location in the host genome. This is done by isolating and copying the genetic material of interest using molecular cloning methods to generate a DNA sequence containing the required genetic elements for expression, and then inserting this construct into the host organism. Other forms of genetic engineering include gene targeting and knocking out specific genes via engineered nucleases such aszinc finger nucleases or engineered homing endonucleases.The first field trials of genetically engineered plants occurred in France and the USA in 1986, tobacco plants were engineered to be resistant to herbicides

Procedure :

Isolating gene-

First, the gene to be inserted into the genetically modified organism must be chosen and isolated.Once chosen the genes must be isolated. This typically involves multiplying the gene using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). If the chosen gene or the donor organism's genome has been well studied it may be present in a genetic library. Once isolated, the gene is inserted into a bacterial plasmid.

Construct:

The gene to be inserted into the genetically modified organism must be combined with other genetic elements in order for it to work properly. The gene can also be modified at this stage for better expression or effectiveness. As well as the gene to be inserted most constructs contain a promoter and terminator region as well as a selectable marker gene. The constructs are made using recombinant DNA techniques, such molecular cloning.

Targeting Gene:

The most common form of genetic engineering involves inserting new genetic material randomly within the host genome. Other techniques allow new genetic material to be inserted at a specific location in the host genome or generate mutations at desired genomic loci capable of knocking out endogenous genes. The technique of gene targeting uses homologous recombination to target desired changes to a specific endogenous gene.

Transformation:

The genes to be inserted are cloned into a binary vector, which contains T-DNA and can be grown in both E. Coli and Agrobacterium. Once the binary vector is constructed the plasmid is transformed into Agrobacterium containing no plasmids and plant cells are infected. The Agrobacterium will then naturally insert the genetic material into the plant cells.About 1% of bacteria are naturally able to take up foreign DNA but it can also be induced in other bacteria. Stressing the bacteria for example, with a heat shock or an electric shock, can make the cell membrane permeable to DNA that may then incorporate into their genome or exist as extrachromosomal DNA.

Selection:

Not all the organism's cells will be transformed with the new genetic material; in most cases a selectable marker is used to differentiate transformed from untransformed cells. If a cell has been successfully transformed with the DNA it will also contain the marker gene.

Regeneration:

As often only a single cell is transformed with genetic material the organism must be regrown from that single cell. As bacteria consist of a single cell and reproduce clonally regeneration is not necessary. In plants this is accomplished through the use of tissue culture. Each plant species has different requirements for successful regeneration through tissue culture. If successful an adult plant is produced that contains the transgene in every cell. In animals it is necessary to ensure that the inserted DNA is present in the embryonic stem cells.

Confirmation:

The finding that a recombinant organism contains the inserted genes is not usually sufficient to ensure that the genes will be expressed in an appropriate manner in the intended tissues of the recombinant organism. To examine the presence of the gene, further analysis frequently uses PCR, Southern hybridization, and DNA sequencing, which serve to determine the chromosomal location and copy number of the inserted gene.

The chief difference between a supercomputer and a mainframe is that a supercomputer channels all its power into executing a few programs as fast as possible, whereas a mainframe uses its power to execute many programs concurrently.

Its characterstics depends on your usage of the term supercomputer, generally speaking it

means a computer (or multiple linked computers) intended on computing massive amounts of

data for projects like mapping the human genome and other science stuff of that scale.

Advantages: Speed, amount of things that can run at once without it slowing down, better graphics capabilities for gaming and graphics designing, and smoother performance.

In the case of 64 bit processors, (which can provide better processing capabilities) there can be the downside of compatibility issues for some software.

If you want a really, really fast computer, there are all kind of ways to build the hardware architecture, but one thing that almost all of them have in common is that they run Linux. The top spot now appears to belong to the Tianhe-1A , which means "Milky Way," at a research center at the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in Tianjin, China.

How much faster?

NUDT claims the machine is 1.4 times faster than Cray XT5 Jaguar. NUDT claims that the computer's peak performance can hit 1.206 petaflops and jogs along at 563.1 teraflops. To do this, the Tianhe-1A system covers a square kilometer, weights in at 155-tons and uses 14,336 Intel Xeon CPUs and 7,168 Nvidia Tesla GPUs.

The software behind it?

Linux of course. Linux has long been the operating system of choice for the world's fastest computers. While NUDT hasn't said which specific Linux they used, I strongly suspect it's a high-speed optimized version of China's Red Flag Software's Red Flag Linux.

It's not just supercomputers that have become Linux fans. Other high-speed, no-room-for-failure systems have moved to Linux. Many of the world's stock exchanges, where every millisecond counts, have either already switched to Linux or are planning on it.

The bottom line: when speed and reliability is what you have to have, Linux is the operating system you have to use.

Hidden Treasure Worth Billions

Officials announced that a treasure containing sacks of diamonds and gold coins as well as golden idols, jewellry and other riches has been discovered in the secret vaults of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, in the southwestern state of Kerala, India. Estimates of its worth have been rising and it is now thought to be worth $20 billion.

The Hindu temple was built in the 16th century by the kings of the then Kingdom of Travancore to serve as a royal chapel for the rulers of Travancore. The six vaults containing the treasure have been undisturbed for over a century. Assessment of the treasure began on June 27 after a lawyer concerned about the security of the treasure petitioned India's Supreme Court, which then appointed a seven-member panel of experts to invent of the treasure. The panel does not have the power to determine to whom the treasure will belong. Estimates of the treasure's worth are rising, provoking a heated debate as to how the treasure will be used in a country that has 450 million poverty-stricken people.

The CM of Kerala, Oommen Chandy, announced that the treasure would remain with the temple, and security matters would be decided in consultation with the Travancore Royal Family, the temple management, and the temple priest.

"The gold was offered to the lord. It is the property of the temple. The government will protect the wealth at the temple," Oommen Chandy said. Meanwhile, a large number of armed police have been deployed around the temple to protect the treasure.

Among the dissenters is eminent jurist V R Krishna Iyer, who said the treasure should be put in a national trust for the peoples' benefit. "God’s wealth belongs to the people, not to the king. It’s meaningless to say that it belongs to Hindus or any particular religious community," said Iyer. "A mechanism should be constructed to ensure that the benefits of it should reach the poor and the needy and not the rich."

Five of the six vaults of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple have been inventoried.

Also information to the press revealed that the treasure, including a golden idol of Mahavishnu and a golden 'anki', were found in one of the vaults, estimated to weigh 30 kilograms, along with precious stones, silver, two coconut shells of pure gold and another golden idol as well as other jewels and valuable coins. The committee hopes to find more treasure when the sixth and final vault is opened. This vault is thought to contain the bulk of the wealth.

Keralan officials in a preliminary estimate said that the treasure was worth over $11.2 billion; those estimates have now risen to $20 billion. Historians say that the temple's location on a site through which passed lucrative trade routes support the higher evaluations.

"Traders, who used to come from other parts of the country and abroad for buying spices and other commodities, used to make handsome offerings to the deity for not only his blessings but also to please the then rulers.

Saint Nicholas, whose feast day is December 6, lived from 280-343. He was a priest and later the Bishop of Myra, in modern Turkey.

The legends say that Nicholas was a very holy child, some going so far as to say that he refused his mother's milk on Fridays to keep the Church discipline of abstinence. Apparently he came from a rich family and was known for his generosity. He gave gifts to the peasants of Myra, trying to do so in secret by night, out of humility.

It seems a poor man had no money to provide a dowry for his three daughters. Bishop Nicholas climbed onto the roof of the house and dropped three bags of gold down the chimney. While much of the foregoing is undoubtedly legendary, or at least embellished by the ages, it is a fact that in 303, the Roman Emporer Diocletian demanded that all the citizens of the empire worship him as a god. This order applied to the territories of Asia Minor as well. Many Christians were imprisoned or killed for their refusal to worship the emporer. When he too refused to submit, the Bishop was arrested and held in a small cell for more than 5 years.

In 313, Constantine came to power and Nicholas was released. Christianity was no longer oppressed, and Nicholas returned to serve Myra as Bishop. He remained in that post until his death, on December 6, 343.

His fame for sanctity spread rapidly, with the first churches in his name being built around 450. By 800, he was recognized as a saint in the Eastern Church, and by 1200, St. Nicholas' Day was celebrated in Paris. By the 1400s, St. Nicholas was the most popular religious figure, apart from Jesus and Mary, with more than 2,000 chapels built in his honor.

The Origin of Santa When Dutch settlers came to New Amsterdam in the 1500s, they brought with them their tradition of St. Nicholas (“Sinter Klass”), and this tradition spread more generally, the name being converted in the process to Santa Claus.

The image of St. Nicholas gradually changed to that “right jolly old elf” described by Clement Clarke Moore in his “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” better known as “ `Twas the Night Before Christmas.” He traded in his mitre and crozier to dress “all in fur, from his head to his foot.” Still, behind the figure most embodying the commercial nature of Christmas in the minds of the public, we find a humble and saintly Bishop, and a clear Christian message for our times: the need for generosity both towards our neighbors, and towards God.

In terms of content and treatment, how much further has Farhan Akhtar taken the action flick? There's no easy answer to that. Needless to say Farhan’s creativity and talent takes the film to the next level. He completely justifies himself as a director. But, the film's outstanding topographical and technical detailing hampers the audiences' journey towards the characters.

Shahrukh Khan is amazingly stylish in the role of Don. He proves that he can carry a role that is immortalized by Amitabh with élan. SRK indeed carries the entire film on his shoulders.
Priyanka Chopra as Roma who is Don’s Junglee Billi scores well. This girl is extremely confident. Lara Dutta as Ayesha ads glamour and charm to the film. Kunal Kapoor as Sameer Ali apparently plays an admirer of Don. He meets him in Berlin. He does a decent job. Boman Irani as Vardhaanis who is in the journey of taking revenge form Don is absolutely justified.

Story:
Shah Rukh Khan as Don is the most elusive, cunning, wily, astute, manipulative, unforgiving crime world who returns with a new set of enemies and greater ambition.

Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Shahrukh Khan) has now set his sight on European domination. In his way are the
bosses of the existing European underworld and all law enforcement agencies.

The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin, as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first in order for his plan to succeed.

He is the worst nightmare for his enemies. He knows their deepest secrets and fears, and knows when to let them live and when to pull the trigger. Shah Rukh Khan as Don is back with a vengeance in Don 2.

Remember how Don pulled the rug from under everyone’s feet by feigning his own death and pretending as a simpleton impost ring as the Don in the 2006. The story now moves forward. Having fled from right under the nose of the cops, Don has now set his eyes on greener pastures.

The film begins in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and from there the action shifts to Germany. Incidentally, Don 2 is the first film to be shot in Germany.

Conclusion:

You can watch this film and enjoy it as long as you don't compare it with its original version. The twists towards climax would add extra zing to the contemporary screenplay. On the whole, the new Don 2 works!
