Relationship State of the Art Sex and Power

Bizarre sex scenarios have slithered in our hyper sexual lives and power plays long before IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn made the headlines of global pop culture or when the Terminator Governator Procreator Arnold Schwarzenegger dallied the release of his jittery dalliances.

These cases of small dog or small man syndrome are plentiful in their weakness masquerading as power and pleasure. They are un-relationship, un-power and un-sex.

The abuse of power and/or sex has percolated in the human condition since we chose to eat the one fruit in the Garden that was mortally dangerous. How ravishing a fruit was it? We are drawn to the breath that poisons.

Why is it that we embrace danger and bore so easily when we have it all?

Still more interesting is why so many think this is all something new.

Throughout history this kind of behavior has been endemic. It was going on before and during the Golden Age of Athens as well as amid the power and might that was Imperial Rome. It never abated in the Dark Ages or the Enlightenment and has continued into the Decline and Fall of the United States of America and the Rise of Glorious to be Rich China.

The key is relationship, how it weaves into sex and power. Our behavior with these pillars of humanness, raw humanity and inhumanity must be harnessed by humility and meekness. These are words and concepts much maligned and misunderstood, they may seem boring but they grasp within clenched fist lighting bolts.

This is the docking of our primal sexual urges and application of our control paradoxes within the parameters of healthy relationship and overflowing life.

What does this look like?

As I write this article on my iPhone I sit in a cafe where my pretty young waitress has bent over pointing out the specials on the menu while pointing her significant dual specials into my personal space. The pretties dual delights duelling my character some would say but I refer to something more fundamental than character. Certainly character is more important than reputation, reputation is merely the shadow cast but character is who we are casting the shadow yet I am thinking more of who we can be not who we are by our own measly abilities.

The cleavage of my pretty waitress sought leverage in the theatre of my mind. Yet said cleavage lacks the capacity as lure for me to cross the bridge from observation or recognition to attraction or desire.

This is not because I am a heterophobic male, I am as red blooded a heterosexual male as you will find yet my attraction and desire is splendidly endowed towards that of my lavishly attractive wife. Yet again this attraction is not made from our biochemical makeup or driven by her application of cosmetic makeup.

It is not a case of erectile dysfunction, slavish morality application or sex addict self help. Sex and power are indelibly inextricably intertwined but the Golden Thread of humility and meekness is unquenchable even if bent it will not break but will apply the brakes for safe steering.

Yet my pretty young waitress who doubtlessly wears such tiny scraps of skin covering cloth because of my diminishing tips, exposing more of her tips does not manage to claw her blade-like nails into my desire because of the humility and meekness infused into my life by the King of Humility and Meekness, it is not because of anything special about me, far from it.

The power of humility and meekness.

To be a king is to have power and to be in control so to juxtaposition such with humility and meekness may seem a quandary or contradiction but it is not. Humility or meekness being power under control does not lessen power but unleashes it.

If you are endowed with sufficient power and authority one need not be self enslaved to a felt need or the burning of the blood. The molecules and DNA of this world are no the end all be all.

Indeed you are free and at liberty when the State of the Art surpasses the brokeness and slavery of power and sex obsession or addiction.

Interestingly power and sex are vastly more interesting and satisfying when relationship is within this State of the Art. This is the upgrade from the slavish fear based power and sex thresholds of the sex snare scenarios so common to our resilient yet fragile species.

The game changing Zoe Life

The State of the Art Relationship sex and power woven into the Golden Thread of Humility and Meekness gifted by the King are powerful and exhilarating even when we are weak and fragile. This is true beauty; I need not depend upon myself, my character or personal guidelines as this is not about me.

When infused by the State of the Art the way I see my waitress is completely different, as I am transformed my vision of her is likewise changed. She is not a sex object requiring conquering or pleasure principles or the fulfillment of my sexual gratification, the occupation of waitress and the person she is becomes elevated. She is now the one I serve as a respected equal even if she chooses to denigrate herself. She is now my mother, my sister or my daughter not an object of sexual allure.

Such humility and meekness is powered by love, not romantic love but otherworldly love. A spiritual love that transcends the flesh and mere fleeting emotions, it is love as a verb, a plan of action in action. It is not a fluttering of chemistry or spark of exhilaration flirtation but the interceding of the Zoe Life which is profoundly more dynamic and exhilarating. A life that is not simply led on the physical plane but is infused by the spiritual dimension, this makes the impossible possible, this is when the infinite intercedes within the finite making us more than we can be. This is the heart of the spiritual life and the core of spiritual sex.

This is the ultimate relationship between sex and power, the Zoe Life, the Life on the Blade.

The Reunion Show is always full of bonuses like Amber and the kids and Boston Rob’s love for them. In a world and game were relationships are “disposable” Rob clearly loves his family, that it seems is the real Rob...it is the line he crosses from Boston Rob to Rob...Million dollars or no million dollars.

Natalie played a good game for a nice 19 year old. Phillip...Special Agent Phillip provided enormous entertainment value, every season of Survivor needs a Phillip whether his name is Lex, Coach or Special Agent. It would be dullsville if there was no Philip-like character. Could this also be true of life outside of Survivor? What could the world do with Phillip’s phil-osophy?

The faith shared by both Matt and Mike was a highlight. To walk in the steps of Matt living alone on Redemption Island with God was an interesting journey...even if his theology is rather fatalistic. Matt, a former marine provided luxuriant context for the game vs. being a marine in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I admit it, I am, or rather was a Russ fan, he has lost his edge and needs time to recover for and future Survivor. Actually i would take Phillip any day over Russ. Speaking of which it was interesting to see Phillip apologize to Steve and to have some confirmation of his past as a Special Agent.

Winner of the Sprint hundred thousand dollars...the vet vs. the newbie, godfather vs. Godfan Boston Rob wins!

Grant is married and Phillip and Ralph are pals...and Andrea and Matt are not an item...Plus David asks Carolina Eastwood of Survivor Tocantins to marry him and she says yes (to David and the massive rock he gave her).

Survivor is always full of surprises like the games of two former players making a comeback and the days in the wilderness of Redemption Island. All of which will return next season with Survivor South Pacific.

Survivor Redemption Island the Unedited Uncensored Video of My Mind…

The culmination of perhaps the best season of Survivor did not disappoint in its climax. At Redemption Island Andrea beat up the big boys sending Matt and his God Alliance to the jury along with Mike and Grant.

Andrea rejoins the game proper with Boston Rob, Phillip, Natalie and Ashley. As Andrea tries to blend back into the game Ashley wins immunity in the challenge proving she really is a threat.

What can Game Master Boston Rob do with this? Rob plays his highly coveted and secretly held immunity idol. Ashley is the biggest threat but she cannot be voted off so Rob pulls the strings and wham-o Andrea is voted off and onto the jury. The Boston Rob Alliance holds together to the end!

This leaves us set for the final challenge, can Rob make it to the final or will Ashley, Natalie and Phillip rob him on the way to the bank?

Not a chance! Rob wins the maze challenge with Ashley close behind eating his dust. Phillip and Natalie were not ever in the challenge.

So there we have it...who will make it to the final with Boston Rob? Special Agent Philip who promises a BIG reveal if he makes it to the end against Rob. Nice Natalie Queen of the Coat Tails or Rob’s only real threat Ashley...

Thus we go to tribal council after Rob has informed Natalie that he and Phillip are voting for Ashley and of course Natalie should do likewise...and she does...Ashley leaves to join the jury.

Phillip has a relationship with a relative that died in 1870 and we are off to see Rob, Natalie and Phillip plead their cases to the jury. Natalie is nice but there is no compelling reason to give her one million dollars, her argument actually placed her success at the feet of Boston Rob. Phillip in his full native regalia promises us a triumphal disclosure that will plunder any votes Rob may get but in actuality his speech was in praise of Boston Rob!

Rob changes pace while still giving good reasons to vote for him such as his hard work around camp, winning four individual immunities, building and growing multiple alliances particularly the Boston Rob alliance.

Then the inquisition from the jury, we have the usual people who have had their feelings hurt and are envious of the final three. The most interesting was David the lawyer who instead of questioning Rob, Natalie and Phillip turned to the jury like the jury he is and pleads Rob’s case for the million dollars! His slick tongue made a compelling case, and now the vote...

Could there be a doubt?

Perhaps God fearing Matt will be redeemed again, or Natalie will dance through the danger with a bit of nursing from Ashley.

Still, could it be that God Fearing Matt will win by faith? Perhaps Grant can stretch things and yoga his way to the final…Marine Mike could fight his way back into the game or Andrea Student of Life may wiggle her way to the end…

Oprah and the End of the World

The sky was an endless rich azure blue with only a few translucent veils of clouds in the far distance. The crescent moon hung low in the sky and was only just visible to my eyes over the crest of the massive coral coloured sand dune, a wave of sand in an ocean of desert.

The sun was brilliant as its light painted the desert including the ancient sun bleached dead tree that lay nearby with its remaining few branches reaching toward the sky like large craggy gnarled fingers.

I walked upon the sand at the base of the dune towards the tree that had become simply dead wood. The hot desert wind caressed my skin drawing away the sweat. Before me upon the ground beside the tree was a carcass with flies crawling, feasting and flying. The insect buzz reaching my ears just before the stench of decomposition touched my nose.

A shadow moved over the sand, the carcass and yes, me, and I looked up to find descending quickly, a large vulture. It took its place upon the horizontal trunk of the whitened half buried dead tree. Its talons sharp on the wood and its eyes cast upon me but for an instant then it turned to the carcass its meal.

The great bird began to eat among the flies of the carcass. While all of this is remarkable what came to pass was more so. The flies and the vulture died as I observed within mere moments. The death they so cherished in the flesh they ate had now consumed them, a prey poisoned becomes a hunter, the death stalker.

I shivered at the sight even while burning in the face of the desert sun. Yet again I, even I, saw yet another storm begin as the sun disappeared in darkness and the wind and the sand began the transformation as it had since the Fall in the Garden when the light was obscured by the darkness.

Such does the story flow forth as truth lays vulnerable in love-lies cloaked as truth. Really no different than the urgent swelling request of the man promising the woman he shall love and respect her in the morning.

Our world of post modern Oprahism (Oprah gone wild Oprahnish), democracy and equal rights taken by some to mean all truth is equal and all values simply different but still the same. All under the veneer of love as such love poisons the truth. Niceness wrapped in the folds of love really a dead body mummy wrapped, a rotten corpse secreted but still dead.

While it may not always be best to utilize truth as a hammer but as a scalpel love is not love when it denies truth. Popularization as well as the currency of pop culture icons and iconoclasts matter not in the wind, sand and sun of the desert of time the realm of truth.

Decipher this unto me, who is who and what is what and why does it matter?

(Somehow that does not seem quite right…but I promised not to edit didn’t I?)

Paranormal Activity: Reality or Hallucination?

If one were to define paranormal as “beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation”* then I suppose most people on this planet may say they believe in paranormal activity. After all those are wide swaths in the landscape of life. Who has not experienced something that is outside normal experience perhaps even wildly so? Who has not encountered things that seem to defy science, a methodology that is limited in its research, scope and reproducibility? One could even claim that much normal experience and science fits rather sweetly upon such a definition of the term.

Still, do you believe in ghosts? How does one even define ghosts? How about extraterrestrial sentient life, do you believe in aliens? How about werewolves, vampires (of the Dracula sort) and the like, do you believe in them? Then of course there is ESP, psychics, haunted houses, demonic possession, black magic, reincarnation (or past life regression), channelling, astrology or if massive stimulus spending is a good way to manage a nations economy…

I am asked if “paranormal activity” is “reality or hallucination?”

While there may be a verisimilitude for these various forms of paranormal activity not all truths are created equal, they are not all equally valid. Just because a person believes something to be true does not validate its authenticity as true, reality defeats philosophy or theology that is not true (similarly to how economic reality trumps political-economic theory, communism does not work).

If the term ghost is used to qualify a dead person mysteriously visiting the living in a “spirit form” I believe this could be true if God intends for it to occur, it takes His personal intervention for this miracle. This is the crux of the matter, what is the difference between a miracle and paranormal activity?

Is there extraterrestrial sentient life, possibly but not probably…Have they already visited us? Exceedingly unlikely, reasonable space flight between solar systems really requires faster than light technology which probably cannot be achieved (despite Star Treks warp drive), thus dies alien visitations…

Are there howling at the Moon werewolves, shape shifters? An entertaining thought but no, as thus goes the vampires of Dracula fame. ESP conjures up interesting scenarios but no it does not fly…Haunted houses are spooky ideas but are simply unreal. Black magic if it does occur is bound within the realm of demonic activity.

I have had opportunities to meet so called psychics and have found them all to be frauds. With some guesswork I have told them more about themselves than they ever could about me. It is called people reading or cold reading…it is logic and reason not some weird hocus-pocus…

Reincarnation and its child past life regression is utter nonsense. If I had a dollar for every person that has told me that they alone were Napoleon or Jesus I would be Donald Trump. Channeling is equally silly and preposterous, unless one means channel surfing…Astrology is plain ridiculous…do you really think a star fifty light years away is dictating or prophesying who you are going to have lunch with today?

This brings me to a comment that was directed at me this past week “why are most people Christians, because they are scared of hell.” I responded that most of the genuine followers of Jesus I know are such because “they believe it is true.” So why is it that thus far I have responded in the way that I have? I have done so because of what I know of God, humans and our universe through His Word, I believe it to be true. I have found no other source of such reliability, I like science but it has its limitations and is often led more by philosophy and money that scientific method. Some may see following Jesus as a paranormal activity…and this would be so if it means miracle merged with truth.

Now for a walk on the wild side…let us see what the Princess of the Paranormal MAX will channel for us…
