We must examine the entire book to understand the entire premise of the book which is God’s love for people. Jonah is an excellent Biblical example of how God does His perfect work with an imperfect instrument/tool. The book of Jonah records one of the greatest missionary/evangelism success stories in history.

A thesis statement for today’s message:
We were created and saved to be the love of God NOT just to demonstrate His love, but to be the love of God. Evangelism is all about LOVE.

God loved the Ninevites and wanted to save them.
Jonah 1:1-2

If God wanted to kill the Ninevites, He could have done it. It is out of His love that God said “I want you to repent.” Who does God love in your life. The answer is everyone .

Evangelism is not tackle football.
God loves people. He wants to reach them through willing people like you and me. According to Sperling’s www.bestplaces.net there are approximately 454,220 people living in the Tulsa, Collinsville, Skiatook, Owasso and Claremore areas. God loves each and every person. It is our responsibility to be the Love of God to them.

God loved Jonah and wanted to use him.

We discover here that Jonah has a problem. (Jonah 1:3a) God loved Jonah enough to correct his disobedience. Circle which Heart best represents you. What percentage of God’s love do you allow God to flow through you? What percentage can God use of you right where you are today?

10% heart
40% heart
60% heart
80% heart

God is saying to you and to me: Love people! Reach out to them. We must examine the entire book to understand the entire premise of the book which is God’s love for people. Jonah is an excellent Biblical example of how God does His perfect work with an imperfect instrument/tool. The book of Jonah records one of the greatest missionary/evangelism success stories in history. A thesis statement for today’s message: We were created and saved to be the love of God NOT just to demonstrate His love, but to be the love of God. Evangelism is all about LOVE. God loved the Ninevites and wanted to save them. Jonah 1:1-2 If God wanted to kill the Ninevites, He could have done it. 10% heart 40% heart 60% heart 80% heart God is saying to you and to me: Love people! Reach out to them. Be my love before them. GARY FRAZIER
Discovery Ministries

There are over 1000 prophecies in the Bible. 500 of them are already fulfilled
Prophesy is history written in advance.
We are standing on the threshold of the soon coming King.
In reality there are only two certainties at the end of life; either death or meeting God face to face. Are you ready?
The Bible indicates there are two comings of Christ in the End Times:
1. To rescue his bride - the church
2. Again, with the saints to establish His reign of peace.
Three Significant Questions:
1. Is it possible to think you are saved and still be lost?
Jesus said Yes! - Matthew 7:22-23
Can you be sure you are saved? - YES!!!! I John 5: 3 How???
a. Do you have a desire to be more like Christ?
b. Do you have a hunger for His word?
c. Do you have a non-stop prayer life?
Every person in the Bible who met Jesus was a changed person. Does your life exhibit change? “If you are what you were, then you ain’t (saved).”
Satan’s counterfeit for God’s free gift of salvation is religion.
2. Will people be saved after the Rapture of the church? - Yes!
Rev. 7:4 The 144,000 of Israel
Rev. 7:9 A multitude saved

3. Who will be saved after the Rapture?
John 6:44 None can come to Christ unless he is drawn.
2 Peter 3:9 God does not want any one to perish. He desires for ALL to be saved. He draws everyone!
God calls people in a million ways. However, not all whom he calls answer.
He reveals himself through
1. Nature - Romans 1
2. The conscious mind - Romans 2
3. The person of Jesus Christ - Romans 3
...ALL Men are without excuse.
2 Thessalonians 11:1-2
The people who will be saved during the tribulation will probably NOT be current unsaved church members, who have believed Satan’s lie. Most of these will have already said no to God for the last time (Matt 2:31-32). It is likely that this group of unbelievers will not receive a second chance.
Most likely, those saved after the rapture will be those who have never before heard the gospel of Christ.
Therefore ---- TODAY is the Day of Salvation!!!

First Baptist Church Owasso
13307 East 96th Street North
Owasso, OK 74055
www.fbcowasso.org
918-272-2294

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>January 13, 2008 DR.
