The purpose is to live better, have fewer problems with chronic health diseases and feel better. Life without sugar is a shift in ordinary, American diets. It is a food paradigm shift for most, and it can cause reversal in chronic heart diseases and depression in many cases.

<atom10:link xmlns:atom10="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" rel="self" type="application/atom+xml" href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/LifeStyleSugarFree" />
<atom10:link xmlns:atom10="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" rel="hub" href="http://pubsubhubbub.appspot.com/" />

Sugar Free One Way to Avoid High Cholesterol

If you have high cholesterol, especially your LDL particles, then usually your cardiologists will tell you that you are in danger of death. This can be pretty scary, and it also can be true.

Actually, it isn’t the high cholesterol that causes heart attacks. It is the rupture of these soft plaques inside your cardiovascular arteries. They’re kinda like pimples. If one ruptures, then you most likely will have a heart attack.

One of the best ways to avoid the high LDL particles in your cardiovascular arteries is to eat right. If you avoid white carbs and sugar, you truly lower your chances of having high cholesterol. On this blog you can find out the exact amounts of sugar including foods that turn to sugar in your blood stream that you are allowed to eat each day.

Other blog entries explain exactly how much sugar you can have each day. You can even order a free food journal to help you chart your daily intake of calories, sugar and carbs.

Life Style Sugar Free is all about your healthy eating habits. We have included some very good recipes that are low in sugar and carbs. So check us out. It could be a great way for you to avoid or reverse your high cholesterol problem.

Please leave comments or questions. We will respond to them.

Don’t worry, I answered yes to all the above.

I was so hooked on sugar that I nearly died from high blood pressure. I weighed 240 lbs when I finally quit sugar.

I most likely would have weighed over 270 if I had continued. However, I said to myself, enough is enough.

I made a quality decision to quit sugar and carbohydrates that turn to sugar in the blood. I changed my paradigm to a life sugar free.

Interested in joining a support group to help you quit sugar? Leave comments and/or questions. I will only share five of them. You can find the rest at her site.
The truth about 12 health myths
By Jennifer Tung, RealSimple.com
August 31, 2010 8:06 a.m. EDT

You Shouldn’t Cut Off the Bread’s Crust. It’s Full of Vitamins.

The truth is: In a 2002 German study, researchers found that the baking process produces a novel type of cancer-fighting antioxidant in bread that is eight times more abundant in the crust than in the crumb. That said, it’s more important to serve whole-wheat bread, with or without the crust, because it’s all around higher in nutrients, such as fiber, says New York City nutritionist Keri Glassman, author of The O2 Diet ($25, amazon.com). Make sure the ingredients list “100% whole-wheat flour.” Breads simply labeled “wheat” are usually made with a mixture of enriched white flour and whole-wheat flour and have less fiber.

You Should Feed a Cold and Starve a Fever.

The truth is: In both cases, eat and drink, then drink some more. "Staying hydrated is the most important thing to do, because you lose a lot of fluids when you're ill," says Sears, who adds that there's no need for special beverages containing electrolytes (like Gatorade) unless you're severely dehydrated from vomiting or diarrhea.

An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away.

The truth is: A handful of blueberries a day will keep the doctor away more effectively. Blueberries are a nutritional jackpot, rich in antioxidants and fiber, and they're also easy to toss into cereal and yogurt. That said, eating a variety of fruits and vegetables is important to prevent many chronic illnesses, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes, down the road. (To find out how much earth-grown goodness your child should be getting, enter his or her age, sex, and level of physical activity at fruitsandveggiesmatter.gov.)

Eating Fish Makes You Smart.

The truth is: For kids up to age three or four, this is indeed the case. Fish, especially oily ones, such as salmon, are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). "DHA is particularly beneficial in the first two years of life for brain development, cognition, and visual acuity," says Beverly Hills pediatrician Scott W. Cohen, the author of Eat, Sleep, Poop: A Common Sense Guide to Your Baby's First Year ($16, amazon.com). And a 2008 study in Clinical Pediatrics showed an increase in vocabulary and comprehension for four-year-olds who were given daily DHA supplements. Omega-3 options for the fish-phobic? Try avocados, walnuts, and canola oil.

You Shouldn't Swim for an Hour After Eating.

The truth is: Splash away. "After you eat, more blood flows to the digestive system and away from the muscles," says Cohen. "The thinking was that if you exercised strenuously right after eating, that lack of blood would cause you to cramp up and drown." But that won't happen. Sears concurs: "You might have less energy to swim vigorously, but it shouldn't inhibit your ability to tread water or play."

Hope you find these as interesting as I did!

Leave your comments and questions. I’ll get back with you.

I get a headache."

I'm not sure how this works, but I know this person. It seems he is convinced that going for extended periods without sugar gives him a headache.

What do you think? What are your reasons for refusing to go sugarless? I'd love to hear from you. I'd be glad to publish your comments on this blog. You can comment here or email me at coffeyconslt@live.com. Your email is safe with me!

From my perspective, however, I'd rather suffer from an occasional light headache then have my heart quit at age 47 or younger.

It's a proven fact that getting rid of sugar and foods that act like sugar in your digestive tract will prevent you from serious health problems including chronic heart diseases, diabetes, cancer. high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even cancer.

These are only a few perks of quiting sugar. Even your skin will love you for going sugar free. The use of sugar actually causes your skin to dry and crack leaveing you looking older than you really are. I call going sugarless your fountain of youth.

As always, you may copy or republish this article. But also, learn about how valuable coconut milk is for nutrition. It’s just awesome.

Home-made Coconut Milk Recipe

We begin with making your own coconut milk. And remember, coconut milk is different from coconut water. Water is what’s inside a coconut when it’s cracked open. It’s very healthy.

However, coconut milk is made from the coconut meat and water.

Ingredients: Coconut, 2 cups warm water, grater, strainer and blender

Break: Coconut into 2 pieces, extract white meat and grate.

Blend: One cup grated coconut with one cup warm water until liquified.

Force: Blended mixture through strainer.

Repeat.

You should have a nice, creamy liquid that is ready for use. Fresh foods are always healthier because of enzymes so it’s easier on the digestive tract. If you do choose canned coconut milk, find one without preservatives as they load the body with toxins.

Click here: How to make your own Almond Milk.

Coconut Research

The research of Cajori, Van Slyke and Osborn have shown conclusively that protein of most nuts is of the very finest type and contain all essential amino acids. Among nuts possessing complete proteins are butternuts, pecans, filberts, Brazil nuts, English walnuts, black walnuts, almonds, pine nuts, chestnuts and coconuts.

Coconut globulin is perhaps the best of the nut proteins. Johns, Finks and Pacel, Protein Investigation Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, found this protein produced rats that grew more rapidly than when given cheese, meat, eggs, milk or any other high-protein food.

Coconut Milk Recipe/ Chicken or Tofu Satay

1 cup coconut milk
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp kosher salt
Pinch ground black pepper
2-3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Or, 2 blocks Tofu cut into cubes
12 long bamboo skewers

In a small bowl, whisk together everything except chicken/Tofu, until ingredients are incorporated and sugar is dissolved. Stir in chicken/Tofu, and transfer all to a ziploc bag. Squeeze out air and seal the bag. Massage until it’s coated and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Soak skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat grill to high. Thread 4-6 pieces of chicken or several blocks Tofu on each skewer, keeping them bunched toward the bottom end. Grill, turning frequently, until crisp, 2 minutes per side. Serve with peanut sauce for dipping.

Coconut Milk

Coconut Milk contains no cholesterol but has 552 calories per cup. Although 88% is saturated fat, the fat doesn’t act like it in the body. It acts as monounsatured fat and is often used to lose weight. The fat contains a high percentage of lauric acid which is found in breast milk and may promote brain development and bone health.

For the USDA list of ingredients visit: www.rejuvenatenaturally.wordpress.com

As always, you may copy this article as long as you give proper credit.

Please leave a comment or a question. I've quit at least a thousand times." He goes on to say, “I can’t moderate, but I can quit all together.”

His quote is extremely apropos for those of us who have sworn off sugar. Some of us can only quit all together. Others may experience relapse when that coconut crème pie appears.

Yes, it is hard to go sugar free! But the health rewards far out weigh the passions to dive into "Better Than Sex" cake, (I had to deny myself this just two days ago), then cut back on sugar gradually.

My wife counts calories religiously. She keeps them recorded in her food journal. When she experiences a desire for sweets, she will have a small portion of something. However, she is careful to count the calories.

For some of us, however, yielding to the small temptation would cause a total melt-down, and we would be hooked on sugar once again.

Therefore, you must determine how your system works. Can you cut back on sugar gradually? Or do you have to make a quality decision to quit all together?

Either way is the correct way for you. Only you know your personality. Are you impulsive? Do you make decisions based on what you see? Or can you look at the situation, weigh all the factors and then make a logical decision based on how you react to outside stimuli?

For me there’s no gradual decline. I either quit or go all out—no in between! I have been sugar free since last November. Life is good! Count calories and live a sugar free lifestyle.

As always, you can copy this post as long as you give proper credits.

Please leave questons or comments.

Hope you enjoy this one.

A great Halibut recipe.
• 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
• 2 tablespoons crumbed reduced-fat feta cheese
• 4 teaspoons capers
• 4 teaspoons chopped fresh basil, divided
• 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
• 1 (12 ounce) package frozen halibut fillets, thawed
• 4 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
• 2 teaspoons minced garlic

In a small bowl, combine tomatoes, feta cheese, capers, 1 teaspoon basil and vinegar; set aside. Pat fish dry with paper towels. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine olive oil, garlic and remaining basil. Rub both sides of fish with oil mixture. Grill fish, turning once, until fish flakes easily with a fork (about 5-7 minutes). Top grilled fish with tomato mixture.
Feel free to copy this.

Please ask questions and send comments.

I think it pretty well sums up why you and I would consider going sugar free! ENJOY.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made
with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute
would be Manuka honey or molasses, but only in very small
amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in
color Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the
gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting
off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer
cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based
diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little other meat,
like chicken. Me at also contains livestock
antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all
harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole
grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into
an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked
food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live
enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to
cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance
growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building
healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most
vegetables including be an sprouts) and eat some raw
vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at
temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C)..

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high
caffeine Green tea is a better alternative e and has cancer
fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or
filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap
water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of
digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the
intestines becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic
buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By
refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes
to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the
body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system
(IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals,
EFAs etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy
cancer cells.. Other supplements like vitamin E are known
to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's
normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or
unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit.
A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior
be a survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put
the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to
have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy
life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated
environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to
get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen
therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer
cells.

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave..

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Me dical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.
Please share this with your whole email list.........................

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. For you it makes the best sense. Perhaps the biggest reason to consider a shift in eating would be for your good health and to fight chronic health diseases, i.e. heart attack, stroke and diabetes. Although sweets add great taste and zest to your life, the empty calories are slowly killing you.
When you consider a sugar free life style, you come one step closer to becoming the best you that you can be. Why? By eliminating sugar and foods that become sugar in your gastrointestinal tract (GI tract), you will begin to feel like your old self within a matter of weeks. A brand new you will emerge. Most people feel bad daily without really knowing the cause. Most often, you feel bad because of your eating habits.
So it becomes pretty simple, change your eating habits and change the way you feel! Your decision to go sugar free can’t be just an “I’ll try it to see if it works” decision. To change your eating habits to a sugar free dietary program will require a quality decision on your part. You will need to determine if the change is right for you. Do research, read everything you can find about the benefits and then make your decision—one way or the other.
Your sugar free lifestyle, coupled with a daily caloric intake, will help you lose weight. America is overweight! Obesity has reared its ugly head even among middle school aged youngsters. Recent research has confirmed a direct correlation between the size of your waist to chronic heart diseases. Men with a waist size of larger than 39” is at risk for heart disease and diabetes even more so than those with smaller waist sizes. So a really sensible plan in addition to a sugar free life style is a lower caloric intake. Part II of this article will discuss the daily caloric intake and how to determine the teaspoons (tps) of sugar you can consume each day.

You may reporduce or copy this entry as long as proper credit is given.

It comes with electrolytes, ionic minerals, that is very similar to your own human plasma. It is a great way to rehydrate orally, and its unique abilities to add many natural healing properties is unique to all sports drinks.

This new rage in health drinks, green coconut water, is packed with nutrients; therefore, it not only is considered a refreshing beverage, it is a health drink, too. The drink is often called noelani (no’-way lah-nee) or “dew from the heavens.”

Actually, the people who live in the tropics encourage pregnant women to drink coconut milk. It provides nutrients for their baby through their own milk. Usually, coconut milk will be the first food given to a baby when it is weaned.

Some of the Nutrients: Vitamins and Minerals You Might Find in Coconut Water

Magnesium
Calcium
Antioxidants
Amino acids
Enzymes
Growth factors
And many other nutrients.

Trace Elements

Zinc
Selenium
Iodine
Sulfur
Manganese
Boron
Molybdenum
And others.

All these vitamins, minerals and trace elements come from the rich, volcanic soils and seawater from which the coconut palm trees exist. The neat thing about all these nutrients is that they come from electrolytes. This means that they are absorbable by the human body.

Those who use coconut water on a regular basis attribute many health benefits to it. The water is relative low in sodium, so you might consider adding a bit of white sea salt to it when you drink it.

Look for more benefits about this phenomenal drink to be posted soon!

As always you may copy any post on this blog. Coconut water has several benefits one of which is its intensely hydrating capabilities. Another perk is green coconut water is extremely low in sugar.

Many health conscious men and women are switching to coconut water as their favorite healthy sports drink. I have a few ideas here for smoothies, but I must admit there are several tps of sugar in some of them. You need to be the judge.

You can use coconut water as a base--it has all kinds of health benefits, including being intensely hydrating. My basic recipe is:

8-12 oz coconut water
a couple handfuls of frozen fruit
a banana
an apple or pear

You can substitute the above for one of your meals. You can use frozen fruit, and keep a supply in your freezer for the occasion. Any frozen berry, pineapple, papaya, mango and peaches work, but remember the sugar content for each. Use only frozen fruit and berries that have no added sugar in them.

For greater health, you can add spinach, but remember the color—green may look unappetizing. However, you could use kiwi, honeydew melon and grapes. Then the spinach wouldn’t look so horrible.

For a variety you can use banana or yogurt for a base! Also try, carrot juice, orange juice, grated fresh ginger root, lime juice or fresh mint.

As always, you may copy, email or share this post with others as long as you give proper editorial credits. Besides catching fish, I love to eat them, too. So let me share a recipe for grilling fresh fish.

In this recipe for grilled fresh fish, I’ll use sauger fillets. Sauger is a member of the pike family, and I fish for them below Barkley Dam in January and February. They require some knowledge of where to fish, and some skill is required to catch them. However, both are easy to learn.

I usually grill three pieces for my wife and me. Grilling fish is tricky at best. So place the fillets away from the hottest part of the grill. Do not turn the fillets until you see the juices begin to run from the top side of the fillet, and there should be light burn marks on it. The fillet will stick to the grill at first, but it will turn lose whenever the juices begin to flow.

Do not over cook fish. Actually fish can be cooked from one side if not too thick, but most prefer to see the grill marks on both sides. Turn the fillets carefully so as not to break them in pieces. I use the same methods for bass, crappie and catfish fillets. You can use these methods for seafood fillets as well.

Ingredients:

3 sauger fillets
Olive oil
1 lemon cut in pieces
Sheet of aluminum foil (optional, see below)
Garlic salt (if you like garlic. can use fresh garlic slivers)

To prepare the fillets for grilling, brush olive oil lightly over the fillet. If you use garlic salt, you won’t need to use table salt. Then place the fillets on the coolest part of the grill. You must watch fish closely. Do not overcook. When the fish begins to show signs of flaking apart, it is done.

Have the lemon pieces on the table so you can squeeze the juice onto the fillet before you eat.

Another trick I use with fresh fish is to make a small boat of aluminum foil large enough to hold the number of fillets you intend to grill. Smear olive oil on the aluminum foil and place it on the grill on low heat. Next, add the fillets and let them cook on the foil. You may need to add a touch of olive oil as it cooks.

Grilled fish offers an exciting entrée to a sugar free lifestyle. It is a good healthy choice food.

You may copy this and all posts on this blog. Just remember to give proper credits. The benefits of putting both of these programs together has improved health, cured depression and lowered the risks of chronic health diseases. Always check with your physician before you begin any activities program.

An excellent story about beating depression can be found on Squidoo. It is written by Phillip and titled, “How I Beat Depression.” Phillip gives much information about living a sugar free lifestyle and how it helped him actually stay alive. As soon as he began to live sugarless, he started “running for the first time in years.”

What kinds of activities should I consider with my sugar free lifestyle? Depending on your physical condition, you should begin with the following:

Walking and Other Aerobic Exercise: 5 to 6 days per week
The American Heart Association recommends you walk 4 miles a day. If you have a treadmill or access to the gym, this isn’t hard to accomplish. If neither of these are options for you, you can walk outside and on days when the weather doesn’t permit, you can walk at a nearby mall.
There are many programs on television you can follow for aerobic exercises. You can also buy good VCR tapes to follow for aerobic exercises. Whatever you choose, you need to do about 30 minutes of aerobic exercises daily.

Resistance Exercises 3 times per week
Bench press
Push-ups
Pull-ups
Free Weights
Curls
And other resistance type weights help you keep your muscles toned or bulging if you prefer. As you get older, you might consider more repetitions with lighter weights to reduce the strain on your joints. However, you will know when you reach that magic age to reduce the amount of resistance for your workouts.

You might want to do resistant exercises every day. If you do decide this, be sure to divide your workout time into different muscle groups, and only exercise one muscle group every other day. For instance if you choose to do arms, back and chest muscles one day, then do stomach and leg muscles the next day. That way you can alternate days with the different sets of muscles.

These are only a few suggestions of exercises you can follow along with your sugar free lifestyle. Whatever exercises you choose, be sure to stay active. Be as disciplined with your exercise program as you are with your diet of sugar free.

After reading the labels, you then calculate your number of calories by using the simple formula, A + B + C = D. A is protein, B is carbs, C is fats, and D = total calories.

Another reason to read the labels to live your sugar free life is to determine the number of teaspoons (tps) of sugar in the product. Here's a simple formula for that: S = C - F divided (/) by 5. Or S is sugar, C is carbohydrates, - (minus) dietary fiber, then / (divide) by 5 = number of tps of sugar.

This is simple but not scientificly correct formula, but it works. It has worked for millions todate.

Now it's your turn to try the formula's above. Check out the product label and apply both formula's above to this one product. See how well you do. If you have questions, contact me. I'll be glad to help!

Nutrition Facts for a sample food label below.

Serving Size 1/2 cup
Serving per container 4
Amounts per serving
Calories 90 Calories from fat 30
Total fat gram 3g
saturated fat 0
Cholesterol 0mg
Sodium 300mg
Total Carbohydrate 13g
Dietary Fiber 3g
Protein 3g

Most of the information you need is already listed for you, but try to apply the formulas above to determine the number of calories and the tps of sugar.

As always, eat healthy my friends!

You may copy any post on this blog! It is an indirect way to determine if your are overweight or not!

Follow the instructions below to make your own determination.

To check your body composition, multiply your weight (lbs) by 703. Next, divide your weight by your height in inches, then divide that answer once again by your height in inches. For example: You weigh 200 pounds. You are 5’11” tall. 200 X 703 = 104,600
104600 divided by 71 (5’11” is 71”) = 1473.23. 1473.23 divided by 71 = 20.75.

Here’s how to tell if you are overweight or obese. If your BMI values are less than 18.5, you are underweight. If your BMI values are between 18.5 and 24.9, you are considered normal. However, if your BMI values are 25.0 to 30.0, you are considered overweight. If your BMI is 30.1 to 40.0 you are obese. If your BMI is over 40, you are extremely obese.

Hope this helps! It helped for me. If you have questions or comments feel free to leave them.

You may copy any or all posts on this blog!

Women eat between 1000 to 1200 calories per day, and men eat between 1500 to 1600 calories per day.

Now you are probably thinking, “Man, that’s hardly any food at all!”

A Brief Testimony

Actually, it is a lot of food; however, compared to the amount I was eating each day, it isn't very much. I'm a big man, 6'4" with a large frame. I have always been active until I developed blood pressure problems. I'm not quite so active now, and I want to rid myself of the meds I take for blood pressure.

That's why I have made a committment to eat 1500 calories each day. Not only the limited amount of calories, but foods free from sugar. By limiting the number of teaspoons of sugar, I have to select quality food. I usually eat 4 small meals per day. I've been doing this for three weeks, and I don't get hungry nor do I have sugar cravings. Besides, I've lost 12 pounds and got rid of one blood pressure medication.

Feel free to copy this post--give proper credits if you publish it.

We're always available to answer questions that you might have!
The Benefits

By staying on a sugar free dietary program and eating a certain number of calories daily, you will lose about one (1) pound each week until you reach your optimum weight for your body and activity level.

Actually, eating the right kinds of foods and eating four (4) to five (5) small meals per day, you’d be surprised how much food there really is in 1000 or 1500 calories. There are some foods that have so few carbohydrates (carbs) that the energy it takes to chew them is greater than their caloric intake. Celery is one such food, and carrots come very close to meeting this category. Both are excellent snack foods.

You can make a good snack with carrots or celery and 1 teaspoon of light ranch salad dressing. Dip the celery and/or carrots in the light ranch dressing. This snack is filling and nutritious. You get a lot of chew power from this snack.

We'll answer your questions anytime.

You may copy this post--give proper credit if you reprint it!
