I bought it @ a thrift store, most of the channels are blocked out & the universal remote will only bring up the feature menu. There's got to be a way to rescan those channels.

Anyone have a manual for a PL9125C221 model Phillips TV? If you could share a link or let me borrow it, that would be great!

Why Are Plastics Getting A Bad Name?

Hello everyone and welcome to today's discussion about PLASTICS. I am an distributor of recycled plastic regrinds, reprocessed pellets, and plastic scraps as well as resins, wide spec resins, and color concentrates for plastic materials. We buy/sell throughout the United States of America and Canada. Our company does not export or import plastic materials, so all of our business stays home and keeps the dollar where it's needed. Anyways, enough about me.

I am writing to talk about the recent "Plastic bag bans" and "Styrofoam containers". There wouldn't be a "BAN" if we, as human beings, would take responsibility for litter and refuse and dispose of it properly. Why can't we keep litter in its place? Why can't more of us recycle plastics accordingly? Is it that we are too lazy or too busy to care? So, we ban it's use to keep it from ending up in a landfill? I think it's ridiculous. We need to take responsibility for our OWN ACTIONS.

As I had briefly mentioned above, my occupation is all about plastics. Purchasing various forms of plastic scrap from end-use manufacturing companies, to be sold and "RE-USED" back into new products by other end-use manufacturing companies. Such forms of plastic scrap include, but not limited to: bales of plastic bags, rolls of films, also ground up parts & pieces from automotive to corrugated water pipes. Plastics are melted to a high heat and fed back into new products, either straight 100% recycled materials or by blends of virgin resins with scrap plastics.

Remember the commercial from the 70's with the Native American man?

How sad! We are our own worst enemy. It is not the synthetic materials like plastics that are littering the earth, polluting our waters and overflowing our landfills. It is us as individuals who refuse to clean up after ourselves, rather ban it's use then Reduce, Reuse, or Recycle.

We should stand up and fight for Plastic! Plastic makes our world a better place. Millions of products are made with plastics that help our environment and keep us safe. Corroding pipes releasing toxic metals into our drinking water are now being replaced with tough & lightweight plastic pipes that are made to last for a lifetime. Plastic lumber is made from recycled milk jugs and various other recycled plastics, saving thousands of trees a year. Plastics make products cheaper, lightweight, and above all safer.

Please don't blame plastics, blame the people who are abusing our world and polluting our oceans because they don't know where the trash can or recyle bin is when its right in front of their nose. I bet the same "litterbugs" are the ones who never put the toilet seat down and always leaves the door open when they come or go. Everyone has a responsibility, do your part to keep America beautiful.
