Free Corn!!

2015-08-08T21:30:00.000-05:00

For the past couple of years the girls have enjoyed going with Aaron to help the Knox County Corn Growers hand out free corn in our community. Its fun for them and it is a good lesson in giving.

2015-08-07T23:36:00.000-05:00

it was a beautiful day under the partly cloudy sky.

Addysen's new glasses

2015-07-29T17:30:00.000-05:00

Toward the end of last year, Addysen was having a little trouble seeing the board at school. So I wasn't surprised when we went to the eye doctor this summer that he suggested that she get glasses. He said that she was a little nearsighted and only needed to wear her glasses while she was in class. Well, I think she also likes these glasses as a fashion statement, so she wears them most of the time.

I have to agree... pretty darn cute!

Ains had to get in on the picture action!

and Sadie was not impressed at all!

Our Weird Girls...

2015-07-26T19:00:00.000-05:00

When our girls are being quiet, I tend to find them doing silly/weird things.

I was looking for Ainsley and I couldn't find her... Then I looked in there bed and there she was just sitting quietly, not moving. Just like this.

Later that day, I walked into their room and found this...

Addysen is the cow in the chute and Ainsley is the farmer giving shots.

Sadie's Visitors

2015-07-25T22:00:00.000-05:00

Knox County Fair

2015-07-18T22:00:00.000-05:00

First day home from the hospital and everyone leaves Sadie and I, but all for a good reason... It's show season.

My favorite little show girl

Sad I wasn't there to to watch:( I hate missing things my girls do.

But it was a hot day, so snuggling with our newborn in the air-conditioning wasn't a bad way to spend the day either.

4H Fair

2015-07-11T23:05:00.000-05:00

The Rio Livestock Cloverbud group presented their project at the 4H fair. They all did a great job. They presented a project as a group, but each one of them got to talk to the judge individually. This program is great and helps them get ready for 4H.

Happy 4th of July

2015-07-04T22:50:00.000-05:00

We celebrated the 4th of July at the Anderson's again this year. We had good food, good company, a great view of the Galva fireworks and an awesome fireworks display from Craig. It was a fun night!

Washing Cattle

2015-07-04T12:00:00.000-05:00

Addysen is the happiest when she is farming. So she is really excited that it is summer and that she gets to spend a lot of time at the farm learning and helping out as much as she can. I am so thankful all the guys at the farm are so great with her and take the time to help her learn about farming and livestock. A family farm is such a wonderful place to raise a family! On this day, Uncle Nate let Addysen come over and help wash cattle so she could pictures taken for her clover buds project.

Non-Stress Tests...

2015-06-29T15:31:00.000-05:00

That name is a joke! I think I feel more stressed in those 20 minutes than I do all day. Laying down for 20 minutes while they get a read of the baby's heart rate. Any move I make or the baby makes could lose the heart signal. And if the signal is not found again relatively quickly, we have to start the 20 minutes over again! Ugh-so annoying! I hate these, especially now that I have to do them twice a week!

my view twice a week... can't wait to get this baby out of me!
