CATS! Who d hell likes them!!! (the so-called internal exams in VIT, stands for ‘Continuous Assessment Test’)…I used to think they are one of the most hated words around the campus, among the students it means waking up your senses to realise that its time to:

1. Get things Xeroxed (and shell out ur dad’s precious bucks…!!! ),
2. Run to library (and visit the corners u’ve never been to… :P )
3. Forget about your BFFs (u can remove one F too, only if u’re lucky enuf… :D)
4. Keep your I-Pods n PSPs inside (laptops are thankfully spared!)
5. Dust out d books (u brought frm home last vacations, if u did :D)
6. HAVE NIGHT TEA (Not to mention, EVERYDAY… :D :D :D see my smile :D)

Trust me it turned out to be a misconception when I listen to my roomie’s statement-

“I luv CATS…because u get tea everyday at night-time”

TEA on every floor...

Insane! Pathetic! Alarming!

“How can u like CATS for such a petty thing?”
Here’s his interview:

1. “How can smbdy lyk CATS for jst tea?”
Ans: “When you got to live in a jail, even a small outing is a pleasure.” (wow! Quote… :D)
2. “Worst thing u lyk abt CATS?”
Ans: “Exams” (besides that??? )
3. “Best thing abt CATS?”
Ans: “TEA (@night)” (expected…)
4. “Anything u wud lyk to add to TEA?”

A CUP f tea...!

Ans: “VIT cud consider ‘free’ Cookies along wth magazines (MAXIM/COSMO/AUTOCAR, sister publications…)” (anything else sir??? Why not let out new, se*y waitress serve u chicken and beer in ur rum frm tomorrow!!! :P)
5. “Any leisure activity during CATS?”
Ans: “Sleeping, playin Basketball, Swimming, FBing, Watching ‘FRIENDS’, etc… I’ve actually turned down on NSP these days, as a good gesture to respect CATS…” (nw tht actlly means smthng 4 guys… :D)
6. “Wht do u feel abt the introduction of HOTS in xams?”
Ans: “Oh ya! She’s hot…but dsnt bother me anymore. We only chat on FB nwadayz…” (wtf!!!)
7. “How do u keep urslf motivated for CATs?”
Ans: “That cums naturally whn four 9-pointers sit in all ur four sides in d xam rum! Besides, she keeps me awake (blushing)…” (laugh… )
8. “Any suggestions for Exam coordinator??”
Ans.: “O ya! I had been looking frwd 2 this qs.. We can start by giving online CATS n later open-buk xams(like in IITS). Interested students may also appear through their I-phones/Blackberries/or even Milestone… If not possible, no probs. Dress code compulsorily for girls(coz. they stop cuming neatly dressed in xams), desks with one boy-one gal arrangement (both can write each other’s paper if interested), lunch provided by colg during xam-time(in a half-an-hour break), students may check FB status in btw (any number f times), guitars n music players welcomed (though colg wud provide wth additional hi-fi system (7.1 channel output, surround sound systm), desktops provided in each rum (where students can google 4 answrs), CCTV cameras (to monitor who all r not copying, to give thm ‘BIGGEST MORONS’ trophy at the end), and finally, needless to mention, drinks at the end (only mocktails for females. Colg. authorities dsnt take any responsibility for any mishappenings arising…)

The New SJT Canteen

Another delight for CSE n IT Dept. students after the announcement of their prospects getting FFCS very soon... Those who had been fuming over the SJT (Silver Jubilee Tower) canteen being turned into 6 ‘haunted’ classes for Mech. Dept. , have a clear reason to smile now.

The new SJT canteen is now better (considering the serving time, better-equipments and a fast-paced staff that is high in number), rich in menu (that runs into 3 boards now) and is somewhat ‘Green’ too (The ambience has been worked upon in its own limits)…

Though it can’t still be called a perfect dining place in terms of comparison with canteens at workplace in different Tech-parks n IT Fields, yet it serves the need of the budding engineers well…

Congrats to all the SJTiians…

P.S. : Had been a blow to the mouth-blabbers who keep thrashing CSE Dept. for not capable enough to save their interests…

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back ‘Home’! (Although not a perfect welcome, u don’t welcome somebody in prison, do you? :P, anyways…)

As you people are well aware, the Holi vacations have ended and Its Time…

Time for?

1. Attending Lectures (Relax! We’re talking about Only physical attendance )

2. Completing Assignments (Ya..Ya..i also meant copying-pasting from Google & Wikipedia :P)

3. Paying visits to Library (just before the CATS & TEE, hehe)

4. A little self-study (with cell phone in one hand and eyes on Lappy :P)

Gosh! We aren’t planning to scare you off here so that you flee to your parents’ house again. Its just the need of the hour to remind you of all those mediocre activities that would fill your heads right from 4^th March (Though most of you won’t be returning till Sunday, 07^th March, we know :P)

Someone of you would surely ask:

“When we have to face these things then what’s the need to remind us this crap?”

Absolutely nothing. Neither do we feel the need to remind you of all those things that make you and us unhappy. Here’s another version of what we can remind you. Its Time…

Time for?

1. Sitting at the Nescafe. (Squatting…chatting, and …)

2. Staring couples at food court. (Dreaming, wish I could…)

3. Passing through TT doing a little NSP (What’s NSP? You seriously don’t know! Ask your friends…Go..go..go..hehe)

4. Trying your luck at the Library (Everyone does, no offence… :P)

5. Doing some mighty coding/Fabricating a machine part/ Playing with wires/ Designing froth less polymer and getting yourself called a genius again! (Honk..honk..just because others don’t know it, hehe)

P.S: Most common and frivolous options are better taken care of. Only some people do care about themselves!
