It was very hard to miss this interesting looking gentleman on the streets of Paris. His lavender blazer, straw hat, red suede shoes and guitar shirt really caught my eye. I was a bit puzzled at first, i admit, but I loved the colors and i appreciated his eclectic sense of style.

I noticed this well-dressed gentleman in Paris while doing a bit of shopping on Rue Saint Honore. I want to point out how put together his look is; The tailored trousers and brown leather oxfords really catch your eye.

What struck me the most interesting about Paris was how popular bicycles were with business professionals.

The word luxury can be synonymous with labels such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Dior, however many don't know that Goyard is too. Founded in 1853, Goyard has established itself as a very exclusive label having only 12 stores around the world.
Staying true to it's historical roots Goyard's main flagship store is on the ground floor of 233 Rue Saint Honore, Paris, the old residence of Francois Goyard.

This was one of many custom-made Goyard bags i saw while in Paris.

This interesting couple immediately caught my eye, the bright yellow vintage blazer really was a nice compliment to the shades of blue.

En Route to London!

Hey everyone, today marks the start of my adventures in London!! Can't wait to get into the city and start exploring.. Tonight while on the plane, I'm going to be brainstorming things to add to my "Bucket List," (things to do before i die).

Currently in Detroit and waiting for my overnight to Heathrow... The airport here is pretty big, kind of reminds me of a 2 story shopping mall but the 2nd floor is an indoor train shuttle to and from different concourses.

Anyways here's a pic i took today while walking around and exploring.

Nightmare in the Bahamas

Tomorrow is my last day in Naples! I'm all packed (hopefully) and ready to depart for London.

On another note, I have fallen in love with a new style of photo editing, as seen in this and the previous post. This is the start of a new portfolio (name to be determined), including photos with a dreamlike, or nightmarish quality.

The above photos were taken March in the Bahamas. Unlike the pictures, it was a very bright and beautiful. The overall feeling you get while vacationing there is very laid back, and time seems to move slower. Ok, maybe it's because of all the rum.

My favorite of this set is #3
One friend made the interpretation that it symbolized the labor behind fashion; "It"s all glamorous at the market, however the manual labor is depicted by the screws embedded in the ground."

Destruction

Sometimes when I take photos, I forget about them or they are buried somewhere in my computer. Tonight i decided to go through and look for some photos to edit, and found an old folder of exposures from Gainesville. I was feeling very creative, and started layering images over each other.. out came these layered images which i really love.

Something kind of freaked me out with the first image.
When your looking at the face to the right of the image, some of the rubble on the top left takes the shape of a human figure (or maybe it's just my imagination after all these hours on Adobe inDesign).

Anyways off to bed, and in the AM i'm going to finish working on the men's style guide for the first issue of The Gainesville Style mag.

Sun & Fun

Today was a beautiful day at the beach, 80*F (28*C), sunny, and the water was calm and refreshing as always. Also being a Monday it was empty and i basically had the entire stretch of sand to myself!

In the distance you can see the Naples Pier, one of the landmarks here. My favorite place to go is south of the pier, near where old docks used to be. The remaining posts are now home to some of the Florida wildlife, as you can see the Anhingas sunning themselves.

I found some shell fragments that are pretty common here, but beautiful nonetheless; they have that "mother of pearl" iridescent look to them. Also pretty interesting are these sea oats, which are protected here for some strange reason (probably because they keep the coastline from receding). You get a $500 fine for messing with them or removing them!

Sorry this post is belated, It was supposed to be posted yesterday but i didn't feel like blogging. Also the images are from my phone camera so sorry if they're slightly blurry.

Farewell Summer Scents, Hello Fall

They say the sense of smell is the strongest memory trigger, i fully agree. Whenever i put on cologne, i immediately recall some of the people I've met, places I've seen, and the amazing memories i made while wearing it. Today i spent the morning packing my fragrances and decided that although it feels like summer here in Naples (82 degree weather & beach day everyday), it is time that i pack away my Summer scents until next year.

FAREWELL SUMMER
Summer scents bring back memories of laying out with drinks on the beach, long summer nights, and the feeling of living in the moment- even in the coldest of winters. Every year i buy a new summer fragrance: First was D&G Masculine, then the most recent i had purchased was CK MAN. I only have a few spritz of the D&G Left and i have to re-purchase it next year.

D&G MASCULINE- "playful, fresh and sensual citrus-rich fragrance for men. Central accords of bergamot and fig around lemon leaves, kumquat, peppermint, teak and vanilla make this blend both sensual and adventurous."

CK MAN- "iconic. masculine. sexy. a sophisticated blend of exotic spices and rich woods creates the essence for the minimalist modern man. The fragrance unfolds best its sexy notes in cooler weather, a combination of citrus with woods which instantly reads as masculine, inviting, modern and fresh but not too fresh, if you know what we mean…"

HELLO FALL
My Fall Fragrances evoke the sense of warmth, and remind me of being bundled up in layers sipping coffee, driving with the windows down, Meteor showers, and hot chocolate.
The Fall scents i have left are: the Chanel Platinum Egoiste after shave, Armani Diamonds, Ezra, and Zegna colognes. The Egoïste is very earthy/woodsy, the Armani Diamonds is very warm/earthy/sweet, the Ezra smells like a woodsy/musty alpine forest, and the Z Zegna is very fresh-out-of-the-shower masculine smelling.

Here are better descriptions of the fragrances:
Chanel-"Egoïste by Chanel cologne is a memorable and seductive scent composed of spice, wood, and vanilla notes. The top notes, intensive and fresh, include rosewood and coriander. The fragrance then becomes warmer and mysterious due to Bulgarian rose, carnation, and warm cinnamon in its heart. With these two, I'll have the best of both worlds with the freshness and the warmth! Very excited for these new fragrances, and equally new experiences.

Crosses, Chains, Cuffs

Packed some of my favorite things today. These are most of my necklaces, bracelets, pendants and rings. The anchor rope necklace i attached a Vuitton Lock to, while the LV tooth necklace a friend had made for me. The Watch link necklace i made from some old watch links i found laying around the house, i got the idea from Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast. The ring hanging from the ball chain my mother had given me 10 years ago from a trip to Hungary. Lastly the Hamsa pendant was given to me by one of my dearest friends Flavia from Tonnish Touch.

The coin and chain bracelets i had thrifted, the two smaller leather bracelets were gifts from a friend, the watch is Breitling, and the two other pyrmaid cuffs i had purchased at the mall.

The stud ring is from forever21, horseshoe nail ring is from an old fort i had went to as a child, the silver rope ring was from my sister, and the rosary ring from Hungary.

Well that was a little rundown of some of my favorites,

California Dreamin'

This was an amazing day in Venice CA.. Went through some old pictures and decided to share these ones. During my trip there, the weather was beautiful! I'm talking sunny all day yet not humid; definitely not like Florida. Miss it, hopefully i get to make it over there when i get back from London.

Finally got some photos up of my amazing Frye 12R Engineer boots! They were a "good luck in London" gift from my sister in LA. She raved about Frye boots last time i visited, and now i can see why. The quality is unlike any other boot brand I've seen; Solid construction, thick waterproof leather, and durable Soles. So far I've matched these over a pair of skinny dark wash denim, and under a pair of bootcut denim- both looks work extremely well. Almost set for those rainy days in London, now all i need are some vintage combat boots..
