We want to thank all the people who have donated so far.

s you may or may not already know LAGTV has a PayPal account open to donations. We thought it would be a good idea to break down exactly how your awesome donations are put to use. Before I go any further I'll remind everyone that 100% of all donations goes directly back in to LAGTV. Let me explain how:

LAGTV Tournaments

Everyone loves a good tournament! Of course, a prize pool makes a tournament that much better. Our first ever tournament had an $80 top prize which came out of Mr. Black's own pocket because we wanted to make it worthwhile for our fans. We can't keep doing that however and so a massive portion of donations will be going toward our tournament prize pools. We have a cap of $100 for prize pools and won't make them any higher unless it's for something special. If we do one tournament a month and receive more than $100 in a month in donations (which would be insane) we simply defer the remaining cash to the next tournament and so on. Whatever the prize pool ends up being, we take 25% of the money and put it towards...

LAGTV Upkeep

This is where the rest of the donation money goes. Upkeep refers to maintaining this glorious website, our Youtube channel, and buying new equipment to help us bring you better content faster and hopefully on a more consistent basis.

"That all sounds great, Adam but show me some numbers! I want an example like 11th grade math class!"

I can do that!

Let's say, for the sake of this example, we received $175 in the month of January. After replacing our underwear this is how the money would be divided up:

Opening Balance for February = $175

Tournament Prize Pool for February = $(100)
- 75% for prizes = $75
- 25% for upkeep = $25

Closing balance for February = $75

Say we didn't get any money in February. After being depressed, but totally understanding, this is how the money would be divided up:

Opening Balance for March = $75

Tournament Prize Pool for Match = $(75)
- 75% for prizes = about $55
- 25% for upkeep = about $20

Closing balance for March = $0

So that's how it's broken up. Prize pools and the financial support of LAGTV is almost entirely dependent on you guys out there, our fans. If only 120 people gave $5 each we'd have enough to run fully covered LAGTV Tournaments for half a year! We're not asking for money, because ultimately we're not trying to make money off these donations in any capacity. We're simply putting it on the table so that everyone understands what it will take to keep LAGTV tournaments and all it's other functions successful and awesome for a long time to come.

PLEASE don't feel obligated to donate, whether you can or can't!!! We don't want anyone to feel like it's necessary for LAGTV to continue because it's not! We'll keep truckin' either way so don't feel obligated to donate whatsoever. If you do donate and don't wish to be placed on the Donations Thank You List thread, please email us at lifesaglitchtv@gmail.com when you make the donation and tell us. We'll gladly respect your privacy.

Well ladies and gentlemen we are one step closer to the apocalypse that is bound to be our first tournament! Below you will find the list of the Official 16 players for the tournament as well as the back up list in case we have to remove someone from the top 16 or they drop out.

We had to make a lot of tough decisions! Lots of you sent in proof of some totally awesome promotions for LAGTV and we were really blown away. If you didn't make the top 16 don't be too discouraged as we'll be holding more tournaments down the road!

Guys and Gals, if you need to drop out from the tournament you need to let Jeff and I know ASAP. We're crazy busy with our actual lives and so leaving it until the drop deadline if it can be avoided would be really brutal for us. If you have any questions that can't be answered by our original tournament information blog post then just shoot us an email.

The first 8 have been unofficially chosen. You may keep posting here to get into the 16 replacement player pool, although we suggest trying to get into the second 8. How to get into the second 8 is posted in the previous blog!

Ladies and gentlemen,

We've either lost our minds or our sense of reality but we're going to run our first (and hopefully NOT last) Starcraft 2 Tournament for Mid-level players just like you and I! Below is the information you need to know now, and what you'll need to know in the coming weeks.

BASICS

16 player tournament
Best of 3 match set up
Grand prize will be awarded
Semi-finals winning matches and all finals matches will be casted by Adam and Jeff

WHO?

Must be a subscriber to our Youtube channel
Must be in Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum league
16 players will be chosen (an extra 16 will be chosen as back ups in case people drop out)

WHEN?

The Tournament will begin on the 11th of December
The final match up will be on the 12th of December

HOW?

The first 8 subscribers to post on this blog (unless specified otherwise) with the appropriate information will be automatically entered. Required information will be specified at the end of this blog.
The second 8 subscribers will have to do a little something extra. We want you to go promote LAGTV in someway to help bring more viewers and subscribers in. We want you to email us proof of your brilliant work, and we will choose the top 8 amazing advertisers.
If you missed out, fear not! We will be choosing another 16 as back ups in case someone drops out. Simply be in the comments like the first 8 chosen. Full disclosure: Extras who were not picked in the second 8 for promoting LAGTV will be chosen above those who simply commented on the blog.
IMPORTANT: This tournament is FREE! This is why the second 8 are promoting us. We're doing this free of charge and providing a PRIZE which I will highlight riiiiiiight......now.

WHAT (will I win) ?

First prize gets a GAME OF THEIR CHOICE on Steam (up to $80) and automatic entry into our next tournament. If the game you want isn't out yet (say Portal 2) we will give you the money in E-gift card form through Steam.
Second place receives mad props, a slap on the butt, and automatic entry into our next tournament.

A NEW BLOG ENTRY will be posted for registration purposes on November 21st
Entries for the first 8 will be taken starting 12pm Atlantic Time on November 21st
Proof of promotion emails for the second 8 are due by 12pm Atlantic Time on November 28th
Chosen 16 and back up 16 will have confirmation emails sent to them following November 28th
Initial bracket will be posted here on December 5th
BACK OUT DATE is 12pm Atlantic Time on December 8th
First 3 rounds of tournament play will be done on December 11th
Final match up will be done on December 12th and will be casted live by Adam and Jeff (not live for viewing, simply casted live)
