Many of you have heard of this but probably don’t really now what it is! Well to put it simply it is a form of energy healing. Our bodies are composed of energy. This has been proven by quantum physics. When scientists have taken a cell from the body and broken it down into its smallest component; it was found to consist of a ‘quantum’ amount of vibrating energy. Quantum refers to a unmeasurable amount of energy.

When a ‘healer’ works on someone they are ‘channeling’ energy into the person to help balance out any areas that are out of balance. The therapy is both relaxing and refreshing. You will feel a sense of calmness after the treatment. Some people will only need one session to re-balance themselves but others with longer standing problems may need more. Every one’s body reacts differently and you will need to wait a few days to see what reaction there is.

Some may have a healing crisis where the body will release pent up emotions. You may feel very emotional and tearful for a few days or you may feel exhausted with little energy. Although these symptoms can be distressing to some they are in fact a very good sign! It means that deep seated problems have been released. The side effects rarely last more than a day or two and when they have passed usually noticeable results follow. Decoration was the principle use in olden times for crystals. Crystals adorned gold chalices, goblets, bowls, jewellery and even breast plates for kings and high priests. They were seen as a sign of wealth. The richer you were the more healing gemstones were worn. Gemstones are the polished cut crystals. In olden days crystals were simply shaped and polished, compared to the more elaborate shapes used today. Many people today are drawn to crystal jewellery because they make attractive adornments and have the added benefit of healing us.

Crystals can be used to clear bad vibrations from areas. Place a large quartz cluster in a room to help raise the vibrations. Geodes are particularly attractive crystal to place in a room as they gently send out energy as and when it is required. Crystals can also be used to absorb negativity and electromagnetic smog. Smoky quartz and Black Tourmaline are good examples; they both absorb the negativity and radiate pure clean energy back into the atmosphere. Black Tourmaline can be worn as jewellery if you use a mobile phone a lot as it will absorb the emanations. Computers are another source of electromagnetic emanations and crystals such as Lepidolite, Smoky quartz or Fluorite clusters can be used near the appliance.

Protection is something that many of us need but few of us realise we do! People’s energy can and does affect how we feel. When someone is in a bad mood we sense it and if we stay too long near it we can become depressed ourselves. Also when someone thinks and sends you bad thoughts it can have an effect on our energy levels. Many people worry that they will draw the wrong cards but in reality there are no wrong cards. We will be guided to draw the correct cards for the situation asked about. Some people will ‘test’ the cards by asking the same question several times to check that they draw the same card each time. Sometimes the same card will be drawn more than once but sometimes a different card will be drawn. Both cards will be correct according to our thoughts at the time of drawing. If we doubt the cards then the reading will be scattered, because our thoughts will be scattered.

 Before we do a layout we must be in the right frame of mind. It is best to take a few deep breathes and relax. Then take a little time to really think what question you want to ask the cards. Each pack of cards will have their own instructions on how to ‘lay and read’ the cards.

Just learn to trust in any intuitive feelings that come through as you read the cards, as sometimes we will be given ‘extra’ information via our intuition.

 There are several different types such as angel cards, crystal skull cards, fairy cards, saints, unicorn, dolphin, crystal and of course the tarot cards. The angel type cards are generally easier to grasp as the cards are usually self explanatory whereas the tarot cards take a little longer to understand as there are a lot more cards to learn the meanings of!

Trust your intuition and you will be guided to which cards are ‘right’ for you. The cards can be a lovely guide to be used when you feel at a cross roads in your life, or when you are uncertain as to what  your life path is or to be used in times of emotional upheaval. They can and will be your best friend. Treat them with respect and they will help you move smoothly through the ups and downs of life.
