I've had my baby home now. She is doing really well. It's been a tough week, but we're getting
through it. I'm adding some pics of June's monitor. This is supposed to be GW this weekend/week. but since June was
born, we had to cancel this year so Jesstine and Steph came over for a couple of bottles of wine, a bottle of Miscato
d'asti and a call to texas to get the far away member with us (and we did try to find sara with no avail). It was nice to
have a little adult time even if I was at home and adam was watching the kids.
Lili also drew a picture of Axel ( no help - I htink she did great) and is not into spider and skull tatoos.
She told me that she had to have a skull tattoo to make her tough, so she gave herself two!

Pics of June and her story

Thought I would send out some pics of the new addition! She is doing very good in the NICU, still no date for bringing
her home, but she's getting better every day! The last one was taken tonight just after a bath!!!!
She is still in the NICU at north. I had her on the 14th She was 37 weeks 4 days (a little early but not much). Soon after they took her (i had a c-section) they realized that she was having breathing issues, you can see how blue she is in some of the pitctures. Once in the NICU they determined that she had premature lungs. They wouldn't stay inflated and she would have a hard time just breathing. Her O2 level was very low and her respitory rate was 125+ (normal is between 40-60). They tried her on an oxygen hood for a bit but that didn't work so they put her on a cpap machine that not only gave her a tad bit of oxygen but mainly pushed air into her lungs to help keep them inflated. After a couple of days on that her billyrubben got to high (she was jaundice) so she was put on light therapy for a couple of days. Now, She is learnign to eat and breath at the same time and not to have apniea when she sleeps. she had 3 episodes yesterday one of which her heart rate dropped to the 50s normaly it is in the 130+. but she was able to pull heself out of it.

I am home now, 2nd night home with out her, but she is in excellent hands, the nurses at the NICU are really awesome people. She had a really great day today and was able to have 3 feedings in a row where she ate 45-60mil (just over an ounce and up - an ounce is 30mil). If she continues this shen may be able to get rid of her IV! That also gets us one step closer to her coming home.

There is still no set date on her coming home. We dont even know if we will be able to bring her home on monitors or not. We will know more tomorrow. She is a strong girl and is in a very good place.

June Bug pictures and update

Back at the NICU today thought I'd send another update now that I'm not in such a rush.
We talked to the doctor today and it's still very up in the air. We dont know when she will be coming home.
She is cont. to have some epidodes and is having some trouble remembering how to breath while she eats.
Her billyrubben is up again and hopefully wont go up to the point of light threapy again.
She is very much a trouble maker and LOVES to smile when she is causing trouble. She very much has
a big personality and we can't wait to bring her home. It could be anywhere from 2-7+ days. It all depends on if we need to bring her home on a monitor or not and how many episodes (apniea) she has today and tomorrow.
Cross your toes for June (I'll try to get a picture of her toes today they are very long!). I'll try to keep everyone updated often.

NICU

June got moved to the step down room in the NICU this morning. She is able to eat what she wants and is having a bit of trouble with that, but she's getting better. She likes to cause trouble but what can I say, she's my daughter! I've been able to spend a lot more time with her today since she is off the lights (her jaundice was a bit high so they had her under light therapy for two or three days). Her billyrubben (sp?) was down to 5 today and she is more pink than I have ever seen her! I am in the family room at the NICU so I can update more often here. I will try to load up some pictures of her too. I've only got some of her on her cpap machine and things but at least you can see her!
Talk to you all more soon!

Getting better

I am having trouble posting here but she is being moved to the step down room! The time has escaped me again! Sorry people!

First off I know it's been a while, I apologize, I should have more time to get this thing up and running again. Tell your friends to tune in! It's June! I have 12 weeks to go until June is no longer just a month in our house but a little girl! Luckily I've been able to knit more, in fact I can't just pick one project! I admit, since I was down for so long, I found WAY too many patterns to work on and so I pretty much started them all! It's been a busy couple of days. Lili and I had a Girls Weekend, and boy did we stay busy! Movies, food, swimming, planting flowers, ice cream with Steph, painting nails! We stayed very busy!

This past week Adam and Joe got the garden cut out so although a tad late, I need to plant my veggies, We're not so worried about this year with the prego me and all, but the kids both have tomato plants so we'll at least have some tomatoes!

Last Friday Adrienne, Shirley, and I went on the Yarn Shop Hop 2009!

We hit 7 stores in one day! It was a good weekend, I had a great date night with Adam for my birthday, and got a Wii Fit! Now with the ok from my doctor I shall be hanging out with the wii more often! I got out and took some pictures today, thought I would share one of them. It's very windy here today and we're supposed to get thunderstorms (crossing my fingers!) so I wanted to get some pictures of the trees at my shop before the rain came and knocked them all to the ground! Hopefully my Lillac plants will start blooming soon as well! I beleive there are three colors of lilacs on the row. I will be out taking pictures of them soon. I have to say that row of lilacs is probably the thing I am most proud of at my house!

Thank you Morgan

Can I just say I got a really cute early birthday gift! First off, my favorite chocolates that I dont even know the name, but they are yummy yummy yummy!, fell out while I opened the package! Then this very cute Hema notebook. Miss Lili has stolen my card because of course there are TWO puppies on it, she has named them "spot" and "stripe". Which is fine, she can have the card as long as NO ONE TOUCHES MY NOTEBOOK! It will be used as my official knitting notebook. It's nice and sturdy and just the right size to throw in a project bag. So... Thanks Morgan you are the best!
Things are still growing and moving and all seems to be well. I go in on the 11th for my glucouse test - cross your fingers!
Talk to you all soon!
me

Water Dogs

Yesterday I got the whole family out to walk the dogs, Adam and Joe have never seen Axel run with the puppies. Riley is sick (a sore in her eye - we are thinking about her) but Molly, Axel, Rufus, and of course Toby were out to play. We went to a place that I'd never been. Auntie Neen and Ken, Ryan, and Grandma were there with Molly and Tony and his girlfriend were out with Rufus and Toby. Axel actually got into the water! He's never gotten past his toes, he and Molly normally hang out in the weeds and not in the water. Yesterday was the day, Molly hoped in first and then Axel, a little shock for him at first, but he did great!!! Swimming down river, going after treats and sticks. Running through the woods and weeds, he had such a great time! He got a new bright red collar this weekend and now thinks he is THE TOP DOG! It's good to see him so happy! He's growing into a great dog, but he'll always be my little 55lb puppy!
(Axel is on the right - Molly is on the left in Blue)

This is where I need to be.

Lake Superior - Duluth, MN

Finally a knit!

So over the weekend I picked up my needles again! It's been nearly 5 months since I've knit anything.
I did this Stripe hat out of yarn Lili had picked out (Borroco). She wants one her size now.
I'm working on a sweater/shawl from a new book I got called "The Expectant Knitter". It's new to me and full of cute stuff.
Hopefully I can knit some more on a regular basis, I tend to get more crafty the closer I get to the kid's date. I hand sewed Lili's crib blanket, bumper, and pillows, as well as her craddle bumpers and sheets. I was on bed rest for what seemed like forever with her!
June bug is moving more and more, and can now be seen. I call her the little alien, Although she wont move when others are around trying to catch a glimps. Lili kinda felt her yesterday, but everything is exciting to her so it's hard to say. Lili was a non mover for others too, she only moved for certain people other wise she'd go hiding in my ribs, I think June is going to be the same way!
Hope all is well with everyone! Warm weather is coming more and more everyday, be sure to get out and enjoy it!!!

How long should I go this time!

Hi guys, I swear I'm trying to keep up with this thing more. It's been a bit crazy a pre-teen boy, a three year old girl, a husband, 2 cats, and a healing puppy.
Axel went in about a month ago to get the big snip, and needless to say, there were complications. He had swelling in the scrotum area which caused the area to be three times bigger than it was before the surgery. He had massive busing, and way more than enough pain. He's been on pretty much total lock down for nearly a month, which for a lab puppy is not an easy thing. He's starting to see other puppies again, he saw Tripp the other day (my mothers dog) who isn't very fond of Axel, Tripp is a very dominant dog and Ax is so not in any way. But it ended well. Hopefully he'll be playing with the big dogs soon! Maybe he'll be out in the water soon too!

We did get some fun news! We will be having another GIRL! Her name will be June. We are still working on a middle name, but I'm pretty sure she'll be a June. Lili is very excited to have a sister to play with, and I think Adam is excited for another girl. I saved just about everything from when Lili was born so it's nice to not have to buy everything all over again!

I have lost the cable for my camera so until it is found I dont know when I will have pictures again.... sad I know!

OH! Cross your fingers for my mom today, she is going in for a drug test and then will be getting her first job since I was in school! She's going to be a receptionist at my oldest sisters job location, it's a rehab/ nursing home. It's a part time job but I am very excited for her. She has had many health issues the last couple of years and just the fact that she is able to apply for this job, let alone get it says how much she has been working on healing. I know she will have a great time getting out and meeting new people. CONGRATS MOM!

Lets see, There isn't a whole lot else going on, I still can't knit. I have been trying, but for everything I do, I screw it up and it takes 10 times longer than it should. It's like I'm back to year one of knitting! Thanks to my yarnsister for keeping the yarn flowing for me!

Talk to you all soon!
-me

18 weeks and counting down

I know, I know, It's been a long time since I've been on to write. Cookin this kid has really taken the life out of me. Today would be 18 weeks, 3 days. Nearly to the half way mark and with no nauseua for about a week it's coming back this week. I'm tired of it...

We have been busy at home, even though it keeps snowing :(

I went out with S last weekend to Ikea and bought a big girl bed for Lili, a changing table/dresser for Rex, a new blanket set for Joe, and a New RED couch for my living room. Adam picked the color, but it's all good! I like it. My living room is starting to come together so I will have a comfy place to hang out with Rex the first couple of weeks recovering. I can't wait to just sit on the deck in the sun and relax with the new kidling. I wasn't able to do that with Lili since where we lived when she was little was an apartment building where I got stared at any time I went out side to play with my kids. (People were very odd there).

A and S moved into their house!!!! It's nice to know that we are all out of The Place (our last apartments - they lived in the other building). I'm so excited for them and things are coming along really nicely.

Still not Knitting, we go in on the 13th to find out the species of this kid so hopefully that will give me drive to go out and knit for it! I have crocheted a bit for a hexagon baby blanket, but I've lost the drive for that now to, it comes in waves. I've even been to tired to play the Wii which is less than a week old! I got it last week and am just too tired to play. Maybe once we move it up stairs it will be better!

Well, back to work, the boss man is out of town for the next 9 days and so now I'm the "bossman" I have no worries that all will flow smoothy! OH! I see quest is here to dig up my phone lines, I better post this before I loose the net all together!
Talk to you all sooner than later!
-me
