Accent lighting products represented and new line of high efficacy commercial and industrial fixtures on display at LEDucation 6, March 21st at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City

March 14, 2012

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — LightWild and Lusio Solid-State Lighting today announced plans to discuss and display the company’s accent lighting products and newest line of high efficacy commercial and industrial LED fixtures at LEDucation’s sixth annual educational expo sponsored by the Designers Lighting Forum of New York. The event takes place March 21 at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City.

Lusio, a division of LightWild, recently announced the general availability of its new line of high efficacy fixtures: the Lusio Essentials Bay Series. Economically designed for cost conscious commercial and industrial lighting applications, Lusio Essentials Bay Series fixtures deliver high efficacies (lumens per watt) and high lumens per dollar.

LightWild representatives will also be on hand to discuss the company’s line of LED linear, tile, and panel products for white and color-controllable LED accent and facade lighting applications.

With record attendance expected, LEDucation 6 attendees will be able to participate in educational programming on LED technology, as well as view the latest product innovations from leading manufacturers. LEDucation is produced by a volunteer committee and board members from the Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY).

Founded in 1934, the DLFNY is a not-for-profit organization committed to exploring and presenting the power of lighting in design.

LEDucation attendees will be able to see a Lusio Essentials Bay Series fixture and learn how these lightweight, low-profile LED high bay fixtures use up to 60% less energy than traditional metal halide and fluorescent fixtures while delivering similar or greater light output.

Consider More Than Energy Savings

When considering a move to LEDs for general illumination, companies should consider several factors in addition to energy savings. These include lifetimes, maintenance requirements, ability to use occupancy sensors, dimming capabilities, and heat gain from a fixture all contribute to an accurate cost of ownership of any lighting system.

Using these factors as a basis, Lusio Solid-State Lighting has compiled a series of documents that analyzes the Lusio Pro-Optics Series in several different applications against a fixture with a traditional light source and equivalent lumen output. In each case, Lusio Pro-Optics fixtures demonstrate a 1-year and 15-year cost of ownership savings when compared to T5HO, metal halide, or induction lamp fixtures. (Note: A 15-year period is used strictly as a period of evaluation. Lusio Pro-Optics fixture lifetimes are longer than 15 years.)

Every installation has its own specific variables that can affect cost of ownership. Use these examples as general guidelines and contact a Lusio sales representative with specifics about your application. In most cases, the savings possible with a Lusio Pro-Optics lighting system quoted in this document are conservative as compared to actual installations.

The Cost of Going Green

Leveraging the many benefits of an environmentally friendly Lusio Pro-Optics lighting system costs less than $0.60 per square foot per year operating 12 hours a day. Be sure to see the Lusio per Square Foot line item in each sample application to see how affordable it can be to “go green” with Lusio!

Download new Lusio Cost of Ownership Studies at http://lusiolighting.com/tools/ownership.asp. Additionally you can always contact us at info@LusioLighting.com to discuss your specific lighting project.
