<p>If you are a blogger, then you might have experienced the aches and pains that come from sitting at a desk all day. The extended hours and the limited movement you have to deal with can make this a recurring problem. The best way to combat these effects is through the regular practice of stretching.</p>
<p><strong>Stretching Exercises for Bloggers to Prevent Neck and Shoulder Pains</strong></p>
<p>Here is a quick guide of stretching exercises you can practice in the comfort of your own room while you work or near your house.</p>
<p><strong>How to do shoulder stretches</strong></p>
<p>A great stretching exercise you can do even at your desk is shoulder stretching. Put yourright hand on your left elbow and pull back your arm behind your head as low as you can go. This is very helpful in relieving lower neck and shoulder stress. Your circulation will be improved as well. Keep it there for 10 seconds then change hands.</p>
<p><strong>How stretching of the upper arms releases accumulated stress</strong></p>
<p>Raise and stretch your arms upwards above your head and join your hands. While you stretch your arms up, as high as you can, pull your hands backwards. Keep them there for 20 seconds, then release and and relax. Repeat these stretches for a greater effect. You can do them sitting on your chair or standing. I prefer doing them while I stand because I combine arm stretches with leg extensions by raising myself on my toes. These exercises helprelease tension on your lower neck muscles and shoulders. Repeating these motions multiple times will help burn extra calories too.</p>
<p><strong>Relieving tension on your neck</strong></p>
<p>To apply this exercise to your routine, sit up straight with your head held up high. Bend you neck to each side so that your ear touches your shoulders. Repeat this motion to lessen the stress on your neck muscles. This is great for relieving tension on your neck.</p>
<p>You will feel instant relief especially if you have just finished a long period of work in front of your computer. <p><strong>Simple back stretches</strong></p>
<p>One of the most crucial areas of your body is the back. Regular stretching of your back can be beneficial in many ways. While seated, turn your upper half side to side as far as you can. This is important especially for people with back problems. You will feel the benefits of this exercise right away. The soreness usually accumulated from long hours of sitting is most prominent in back areas.</p>
<p><strong>How going for a walk helps</strong></p>
<p>One of the simplest ways to start stretching is by taking a walk. Use trips to the grocery or the nearby coffee shop as opportunities to stretch your legs. Instead of taking the car, hop on a bike or take a brisk walk and use the distance to burn some calories. This exercise is great for cardio and will get you breathing in some fresh air. This is a great method for weight loss as well. You also get the benefit of toning your leg muscles in the process.</p>
<p>Once you integrate these stretches into your workday, you will be able to cope with the loads much better than before.
