I can’t believe I’m just now getting around to blogging more of the Florida sessions, but it’s been insane around here with the launch of three little chickens and setting up the shooting schedule for this summer!  I figured I’d better get these sessions posted ASAP before the next round of sessions in June starts up  This session was shot on the beach in Neptune Beach, FL, on an absolutely gorgeous evening last month.  Sweet Jodi and her husband Andrew are expecting a little girl in a few months and I was so thrilled to have been able to get some maternity pictures for them!  How CUTE are they?  Andrew even picked out his own shirt – in pink – for the occasion

And right at the end of the session as we were walking up from the beach, the sun was setting and gave off the most beautiful pink light!  Coincidence??  We had to quickly stop and take ONE more picture

Andrew and Jodi, I so wish I was closer because it’s going to kill me not being there to take newborn pictures of what I KNOW will be a gorgeous little baby!  Promise to post lots of pictures on facebook  Thank you for the opportunity to capture this moment in time for you guys!

I really do think this is the happiest place on earth!!  We hit the ground running last month in Florida, flying in on a Sunday evening (which ended up being an extremely late evening due to weather delays) and heading straight to the Magic Kingdom the next morning.  These are our dear friends, who after our pictures helped us convince Ansley to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder mountain  Worth noting: she LOVED them both!  I have tons of personal pictures to share later, but for now, I give you the LeClaires

Whew!  I’m back from Florida and shot so many amazing sessions that I seriously cannot wait to share!  It was so fabulous to shoot somewhere with COLOR!  Michigan seems like it’s been brown and gray for so long; Spring cannot come quickly enough for me.  At any rate – I’m back home and am returning emails and phone calls and answering inquiries.  Thank you for your patience while I was out of the loop!  I look forward to shooting Spring sessions here (the blossoms should be out soon!) and am already accepting sessions for this summer as well, which I’m excited for.

We’re headed to Florida for the third year (and fourth shooting trip) and I couldn’t be more excited!  The sessions filled up so quickly with repeat clients that I didn’t get a chance to open up the opportunity on my facebook page or here on the blog to new clients; however, fingers crossed that I maybeperhaps will possibly make another trip later in the summer… so if we weren’t able to connect this time, hopefully I’ll be coming back soon and we will be able to set up a session in a few months

In the meantime, I cannot WAIT to see the smiling happy faces of so many friends&clients this coming week!  And my kids are definitely ready for some beach time too (those of you reading this who aren’t in Michigan, it’s snowing right now.  Yes, snowing in mid-April … big sigh).  I thought I’d share some personal snaps from last year taken on the holga, because what’s a post without a picture or two?

Anyway, Michigan clients, I’ll be back the week of the 22nd and will be returning calls and emails then.  I will try my best to return emails while in Florida, but my shooting schedule is pretty hectic and internet connection can be spotty, so bear with me!  

 If you’ve never heard of CourtneyCourtney dresses, you’re going to want to make sure you check out the links at the end of this post!  Courtney’s a dress designer in Chicago who has a true gift for thrifting old shirts and materials, and then mixing them together to make these fabulous dresses!  My girls adore them!  I am honored to have photographed multiple dresses for Courtney in the past and was beyond thrilled when she sent me three NEW dresses to shoot in the studio!  I have a lot more pictures of that shoot to come, but wanted to share some dresses from the past as well!

I’ve photographed these cuties a couple of times now, but this time they came to see me at the studio and we had a great time getting some fabulous pictures!  Which, of course, isn’t too terribly hard to do when your subjects are gorgeous   More to come!

I am behind on blogging the beautiful sessions I’ve had at the studio recently – this supercute little thing came to see me early last month and I am so smitten by her!  And the cheeks!! – are they not the best??

How fun is the new studio??  It has the most fabulous light and is located in downtown Grand Rapids, and I just LOVE shooting there!!
