2012-10-29T17:23:00.000-07:00

Harry &
Thanasis

presents

FlyCraft

Hello my friends, first of all thank you for showing interest in this project. We are glad to announce to you that we managed to pull it through. We developed FlyCraft in less than a month! It was a huge undertaking, but we did it and we can't wait to share it with you.

We have something special for you. We have leaked footage from Herbie's hidden fly machine testing facility! WARNING, this is classified footage involving top secret research aircrafts. Contrary to classified materials you knew until now, this one is to be shared! So if you like it share it, and let us know what you think.

FlyCraft Leaked Footage

If nothing goes wrong we will be releasing the game exclusively for the BlackBerry Playbook during this week. Just in time for the Ludum Date October Challenge. Please help us spread the word on this so that as many as possible Playbook users will like the game can vote for it. We need this desperately as we are outnumbered by competing platforms.

All the best,
Harry and Thanasis

2012-10-12T13:57:00.000-07:00

Special thanks to Jtokarchuk for porting this emulator.

I'll try and help you install this GBC emulator by breaking down the whole process into simple steps. For a better understanding of the process please watch the video before installing the app.

STEP 1:
Download the GBColor bar file GBColor-PB-1_0_0_3.bar and sideload it.
New to sideloading! then check out this video PlayBook Bar Sideloading Tutorial

STEP 2:
Launch the app, it would probably crash when you launch it. Don't worry about it.
Next we would need download some GBC Roms, try this website
http://romhustler.net/roms/gbc

STEP 3:
The downloaded rom will be in a zip file so use winzip or winrar to extract the files.
This is how the extracted game file will look like Kirby's Dream Land.gb

STEP 4:
Connect your playbook to a PC, goto "misc" folder and create a new folder and name it "gbcolor-pb".
Now open "gbcolor-pb" folder and create another folder and name it "roms"

**Note** You can also use Playbook Apps like Airbrowser, filebrowser etc to extract zip file & create the folders.

Drop all the game files to the "roms" folder and then launch the emulator.

Hockey! for BlackBerry PlayBook

2012-09-25T11:49:00.000-07:00

Hockey! is a completely new take at Air Hockey.

Collect power-ups to slow the puck down, widen the opponent's goal post,

erect a wall, and many more.

Also includes two other game modes - Rampage, and Survival.

Wreck the AI's goalpost in the time you have in the Rampage mode.

With every goal, you are awarded extra time so that you can score even more!

Or play the Survival mode, where you try to survive for as long as possible.

Keep the game going fast, and you're awarded with an extra life.

Try to beat the global high-score that is shown at the end of Survival/Rampage mode.

You can play Hockey! with a friend or with the AI.

Other Features:
# Great Visuals
# Tough to beat AI
# Includes free standard version of Air Hockey
# Purchasable Themes

*Note: This version includes a 3-day trial of the Arcade mode(Power-ups, Survival, Rampage)-not counting the days when you don't open the game, on the expiry of which, an in-app purchase must be made in order to unlock it.

The Classic mode, however, is free for an indefinite period, both one player and two player modes.

GeoGenius HD For BlackBerry PlayBook

2012-09-07T00:57:00.003-07:00

GeoGenius HD

GeoGenius HD is a country guessing game.

It requires a constant internet connection due to Google Maps.

Updates:

- you can zoom in around your initial guess and fine-adjust your pin

- in the options menu you can turn country borders on/off

GeoGenius HD offers three different modes:

Training:

This is an infinite game where you have to guess random countries.

Singleplayer:

There are 5 levels. In each level you first have to guess within the continents

and then prove yourself in a global challenge.

It starts off with really easy countries, but gets harder with each level.

Multiplayer:

You can play with up to 4 players on one PlayBook with three

different difficulties to choose from.

Speed and accuracy always matters!

It also includes:

- 200 countries and their flags

- a beautiful interface

- sounds

I recommend it highly to everyone who likes geography and to everyone who is

bad at it (that would be me) and always wanted to improve their skills.

PlayStation emulator for PlayBook [PCSX-PB]

2012-04-26T08:28:00.001-07:00

Video:PlayStation games running on my PlayBook

Finally an emulator worth installing, tons of games available so this should keep you busy. I'll try and take you through some simple steps and help you get this emulator working.

STEP 1:
Sideload PlayStation [PCSX-PB] emulator, download bar file http://goo.gl/N5W07

For those who don't know sideloading check out this video
www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iKwuOCx5E4

STEP 2:
Launch the emulator app you should get a option saying "Enter Bios" click cancel.
Then launch Airbrowser app in you're playbook, navigate to misc folder. Create a new folder called "pcsx-rearmed-pb".

STEP 3:
Now click on the newly created folder, you will get some sub folders automatically.
The BIOS and iso folder are important to us so remember them.
Download and extract the zip file SCPH1001.BIN (http://goo.gl/pOFzt) and then place it in the BIOS folder.

STEP 4:
Time to get some games!!!
Goto this website http://goo.gl/7Qffd, select PlayStation option from the left pane. You would be able to select games in alphabetical order.

For Demo purpose download Grand Tour Racing http://goo.gl/SA1a4
Download and extract the zip file, you should get 4 folder, you would find 2 file with file extensions .img and .cue (you might have to use a PC to extract and copy these files)
Copy both the file and paste it into the Iso folder which comes under Misc/pcsx-rearmed-pb/iso

Some games would have a .Bin file instead of .img, in such cases copy the bin file and paste it into iso folder.

STEP 5:
Launch the emulator and select SCUS_944.55.img, the game will take some minutes to load.
Enjoy!!!

Build your own homemade Wi-Fi signal booster without spending much

2011-08-20T00:22:00.000-07:00

I've been using this wifi extender for some time now and got about 50% increase in the wifi signal strength, that's not at all bad considering the fact that my room is really very far from the router. Please don't go by the looks of this device make one to see the result.

The device is called "WindSurfer" and is probably the cheapest and working WiFi booster available.
You would need the following items to make one
Gluestick, Sticky Tape
Scissor, Stapler
Aluminum Foil and WindSurfer Template

STEP 1.
Download WindSurfer Template
WindSurfer PDF file

STEP 2.
Resize the template using either MS Word, Paint etc. or Download The Resized Template
IMPORTANT : The bigger the size of WindSurfer the better will be the Wi-fi signal strength and range.

Once you have done the resizing, print the template.

STEP 3.
Now stick a cardboard behind the template, the cardboard must not be too hard use something that is flexible like a calender etc.
After you've stuck the cardboard, cut out the two parts. The first part will be the one which says "WindSurfer" and the second part will say "FreeAntennas.com".
Stick aluminum foil to the second part.

STEP 4.
Now cut slits in the second part using a knife. Then insert the slots from First Part into the slits. Use sticky tape and tape them nicely.

Finally pinch two holes where a plus sign appears.

There you go its done. place the WindSurfer on your WiFi antenna and check your Wifi Signal, you'll find an increase in signal bars.

Free Music Download Trick For Blackberry Playbook

2011-08-12T15:44:00.000-07:00

This is a simple but effective way to download the latest songs available online into your Playbook for free. Watch this video for a better understanding http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDFVOrgOq6E.

This trick makes use of an app called Voice Notes, this app comes pre-loaded on most playbooks. So once you start recording using Voice Notes, launch any of your favorite online radio and turn up the volume to about 85% and you must be able to record your music without any issues.

The clarity is quite good. You can also make use of the pause feature in the app to record a set of songs one after the other. This will leave you with a continues playlist and keep you in touch with your favorite music even when Wi-Fi is not available.

Is your Google Plus account banned?(Important Please Read)

2011-07-26T22:22:00.000-07:00

A lot of people have already lost their G+ accounts and the funny thing is they don't know why.

G+ is in the testing phase and Google is accepting accounts with valid usernames only, yes no nick names, pseudo names or commercial names example: robert seo, sandy marketing, iceman, king kong etc.

What is Google+ (Google Plus) and do I need it?

The Facebook Killer is in town. Google+ promises to take social networking to a whole new level, and it does. The last biggest human migration was supposed to be from Orkut to FB, its all going to change soon. With all that Google products out there, they definitely have the upper hand here. Mark Zuckerberg you better steal another idea or else FB gonna R.I.P.

G+ is still in the testing phase so its not open to the general public as of now. But if you're eager to join G+ better get an invite from anywhere. But be careful as there are a lot of scams going on, a lot of fake invites are being sent or posted in the web by cyber criminals.

The fake invite contains an infected link that when accessed, redirects the user to a very common Brazilian Trojan banker file – a .cmd file hosted at Dropbox. The most interesting thing to note in this message however is another link pointing to a form hosted at Google Docs. The message shows the link as “send the invitation to your friends” but it is actually a fake form created to collect names and e-mail addresses of new victims. Kaspersky Lab has reported this malicious file and the fake Web form to Google for their interest.
