New Years Eve Limousine Service, buyers beware the national average is an 8 hour minimum rental on all limousine vehicles no matter hwere you are. Be very careful if a service provider is offering limousine rental fotr less than 8 hours on new years eve as this is not standard and youw ill most likely end up stranded. Don't be fooled ook charters only new years eve and enjoy. Please remember not to drink and drive it just isnt worth it, take a limousine instead.

Limo Line - How to choose a limousine service.

I will start by providing some basic tips and pointers and references to real stories of limousine rental nightmares.

TIPS
-Do not solely shop for a limousine based on price.
-Do not shop for a limousine service point to point (pickup & drop off) service during peak periods.(Friday & Saturday nights)
-Do not try to put 10 people into a 10 passenger limousine, you have to always subtract 2 seats from every limousine to account for the front driver and passenger seat. (This is an industry lie, and a standard one.)
-If your limousine price quoted is astronomically lower than other quotes you have received please realize there is something wrong with the company.
-Always clal limousine companies after 9pm local time to see who is actually answereing their telephones, as this will lead you to the bigger and better companies. Listen carefully while onthe call for background noise like is the person answering driviing or with clients. If you are reaching a provider while he/she is with clients that is rude, and you can rest assured he/she willbeonthat cell phone while attending to your group.
POINTERS
-Be aware of the company you are dealing with more than 50% of the limousine companies listed are small 1 & 2 car operators these are the shadiest of operations, they will at times double book or bouce clients to earn a few extra dollars.
-Never offer to pay cash for a limousine service, as there is no protection for you the client if you are paying cash. Always use a check debit card or major credit card as you have capabilities of working with the vendor in case of a problem.
-Use Limousine Broker Networks, you will pay a bit more to go through a limousine broker, however you will have better companies and better customer service as a broker is constatly using the local cars in a given market and you as a limousine consumer may only use the vehicles 1-2 times a year if that many.
-Get referrals from friends about limousine service, also a,sk the compnay for at least 3 references for the same type of trip now be carful there are snake companies who might give you their employees moms telephone number.
-Go and view the exact vehicle and have it written into your contract as the only vehicle you will be able to accept for your trip. Avoid the limousine scam of bate and switch.
REAL STORIES
-Client rents a limousine for pickup and dropoff on a Saturday Night, DUH STUPID MOVE, limousine company calls 3 hours beore pickup time and tells the client the car broke down and they wont be able to provide the service. So you and your group are stranded wihtout a ride. The truth is that 99% of the time all that happen was the limousine company sold a 4 or more hour rental for more revenue and simply decided your bad deal wasnt worth them tying up their equipment.
-Worse yet a group of 14 was dropped off for dinner and the car never returned to get them again sam scenario, dinner was at 5pm pickup was at 9pm and in the middle the vedor got a call for a better charter.
DONT GET YOURSELF CAUGHT UP IN THIS SILLYNESS, JUST DONT BOOK PICKUP & DROPOFF SERVICES WITH LIMOUSINE IN PRIME TIME SPOTS, now sunday through thursday off peak thats another story.
-Wedding party rents a 10 passenger or so they lthought limousine, well lets just say they should have done thier limousine homework and realized it would only seat 8 adults, but they didnt so the bride was left with a completely wrinked dress, and of course it was a good thing that she had waterproof mascara on.
DONT BOOK VEHICLES TO CAPACITY, ALWAYS LEAVE 2 EMTY SEATS SO THAT THE LIMO LIE WONT EFFECT YOU.
-Kids rent a limousine for prom, and when the car comes it is an old clunker, DONT SHOP PRICE, if the price is ridiculously low, the vehicle will be junky. Every single limousine and every single limousine compnay has similar expenses in your state so if the price is way off base there is something wrong. Maybe not enough insurance, fleet is very small owner operator, or equipment is so old that is has been paid for already 3 tiimes over. Do not accept a vehicle that is any older than 5 model years from the current date and evan that is pushing it. Broker networks do not allow vehicles older than 2 years intheir list.

Also as a note some vedors will saythey are members of the BBB or the NLA (National Limousine Association). Every vendor can join these organizations all you have to do is be willing to pony up the money they want for membership.
