Traffic: During the day, predictions are that the level of traffic will be similar to a regular rush hour. As such, journey times will double so we can expect at least a 2 hour day time journey from the centre of London to Heathrow for example, possibly increasing to a 3 or four hour transfer during rush hour itself.

Venue Walking Distances: Drop off locations are not close to the events and at most venues, at least a ten minute walk from the drop off location unless the passenger is disabled in which case there are special care drop of zones at each venue. There is no chauffeur parking at the venues and stringent stopping/pick up/drop off restrictions have been devised. If a pax is not at the pick up location he has arranged with his driver promptly, the driver is likely to have to do a large circuit to come back to the pick up location.

Airport Check In Congestion: We are being told that there will be enough extra staff to cope with extra demands so at this stage the BAA (British Airport Authority) is still recommending a 2 hour check in for intercontinental air travel (apart from El Al which is a 3 hour check in ) and 90 minutes check in time for inter European flights.
